Pray for Election Day!
National Day of Prayer announces the launch of the "Pray for Election Day!" campaign. This is an effort to remind people of faith of the importance of praying for those in leadership. We are asking people to fast and pray for the upcoming presidential primaries, caucuses and of course, the national election. NDP is also encouraging American's to place a red dot on your watch, cell phone, car's steering wheel, calendar, bathroom mirror; anywhere you will be reminded to pray for our elections.
Some ideas of how to pray are included below:
-- Pray . . . For God's guidance in the election process; that He will place men and women of integrity into positions of influence to seek guidance and protection for our nation in the years to come. (Ephesians 4:1-2)
-- Pray . . . For Local, State and National Leaders in our Legislative, Executive and Judicial Branches. There is no such thing as a minor role for an elected or appointed official as the decisions they make affect our lives and will shape the future of our nation. (1 Timothy 2: 1-2)
-- Pray . . . For the United States of America. This year's elections will determine the future of our nation for ourselves and future generations. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
-- Offer Thanksgiving . . . To God, for what He is going to do in our nation. Rest on the belief that the correct leaders will be elected to guide our cities, states and our Nation at this point in history. (Proverbs 3:5-6, Habakkuk 1:5)
VOTE!!
Your vote is similar to a rock thrown into water that sends a ripple across the lake. As Americans we are blessed to live under a representative government which allows us to choose our leaders by casting our votes. Every vote counts! Between January 3-June 3, 2008 states will hold Presidential Primaries and Caucus'. Your prayers and your vote can make a difference!

Praying for the Primaries
Earnestly intercede against media and special interest manipulation during this primary season. Pray that moral, God-fearing, pro-life, pro-marriage, and pro-family men and women be selected, supported, and find favor in local, state, and national campaigns. Intercede that the Lord reveal His choices, expose corruption, immorality, bribery, the occult, and hidden anti-biblical agendas.
