Trump at the U.N.
This morning, President Trump delivered his third address before the United Nations General Assembly. Once again, he did not engage in platitudes. He projected strength and determination. Here's a brief summary of the president's remarks.

- As one would expect, Trump delivered a strong defense of America and of national sovereignty. He vowed to oppose the U.N. Arms Treaty as an assault on our Second Amendment rights. And he flatly rejected globalism, saying, "The future does not belong to globalists, the future belongs to patriots."

- He offered a firm and honest evaluation of China's predatory trade practices. He said the theory that trade would liberalize China has been "proven completely wrong." Trump noted that 60,000 American factories have closed in the years after China joined the World Trade Organization. He also accused China of "gaming the system" by continuing to insist that it remains a "developing country," when in fact it is the second largest economy in the world.

- With the Chinese delegation sitting in the room, Trump called out the communist regime in Beijing. He said that China made pledges with respect to Hong Kong, and if China wants to be taken seriously it must keep its word and honor the rights of Hong Kong's residents.

- On Iran, Trump condemned the regime's "monstrous anti-Semitism" and its pursuit of nuclear weapons. He declared Iran "one of the greatest security threats to peace-loving nations," and vowed to tighten sanctions as long as the regime continues its belligerent activities.

- The president had strong words for those promoting open borders. He accused them of exploiting "social justice" while enabling human trafficking. He said, "Your [open borders] policies are not just, your policies are cruel and evil," adding, "As long as I am president of the United States, we will enforce our laws and protect our borders."

The president also used his General Assembly address to defend the sanctity of life. Trump said:

"Americans will never tire of defending innocent life. . . We are aware that many United Nations projects have attempted to assert a global right to taxpayer-funded abortion on demand, right up until the moment of delivery. Global bureaucrats have absolutely no business attacking the sovereignty of nations that wish to protect innocent life."

Defending Life

While in New York yesterday, I spoke with Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar. He was there to tell the U.N. that abortion is not healthcare.

Azar presented U.N. bureaucrats with a statement from 19 nations representing 1.3 billion people that declared "there is no international right to an abortion." In addition to defending the life of unborn babies, the statement also defended the family as "the foundational institution of society" that should be "supported and strengthened" in public policy.

Focus on Israel

1. Israel slams Turkish leader over UN speech - Times of Israel

Israeli leaders are striking back after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan slams the country, questions its borders and accuses it of wanting to keep expanding. "The Palestinian territory under Israeli occupation has become one of the most striking places of injustice," he says. He says a Palestinian woman shot and killed during an alleged stabbing attempt at a checkpoint was "murdered heinously."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accuses Erdogan of lying constantly. "Someone who does not stop lying, who slaughters Kurds, who denies the massacre of the Armenians, should not preach to Israel. Stop lying Erdogan."

Foreign Minister Israel Katz accuses Erdogan of anti-Semitism in a similar statement. "You should be ashamed, Erdogan," he says.

2. At UN, Trump calls on Mideast nations to fully normalize ties with Israel - Times of Israel

NEW YORK - US President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged Middle Eastern nations to fully normalize diplomatic relations with Israel, while maintaining that crippling US sanctions imposed on Iran would continue until the Islamic Republic changed its behavior.

Speaking before the United Nations General Assembly, the US president accused Tehran of trafficking in "monstrous anti-Semitism" and engaging in a "fanatical quest" to obtain nuclear weapons. Trump said the rogue regime's aggression had created newfound regional alliances to counter the Iranian threat.

"Thankfully, there is a growing recognition in the wider Middle East that the countries of the region share common interest in battling extremism and unleashing economic opportunity," Trump said. "That is why it's so important to have full normalized relations between Israel and its neighbors."

3. UN releases 'unprecedented' report linking anti-Semitism to BDS movement - JNS.org

The report also recommends that all member states adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of anti-Semitism. So far, 18 of them have done so. Israeli, Jewish and pro-Israel groups all applauded the publication of an 'unprecedented' United Nations report on anti-Semitism, that, among other issues, links anti-Semitism to criticism of Israel and the BDS movement.

"This report marks one of the first times the U.N. has addressed the issue of anti-Semitism in any detail," said Anne Herzberg, Legal Advisor and U.N. Liaison at NGO Monitor. " . . . The report, "Combatting Antisemitism to Eliminate Discrimination and Intolerance Based on Religion or Belief," . . . defines anti-Semitism as a global phenomenon-not one largely confined to the United States and Europe-as has been the case in many previous U.N. reports.

4. As UNGA kicks off, AJC launches 'EU recognize Hezbollah as terror org' - Jerusalem Post

WASHINGTON - As world leaders gather in New York this week to participate in the UN General Assembly, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) is launching a TV ad campaign on major US cable networks, calling on the European Union to recognize Hezbollah as a terror organization. In addition, the AJC bought a full-page ad in Tuesday's New York Times, criticizing the EU's distinction between the terror group's military branch and other parts of the organization. "Hezbollah is a global terrorist organization, armed and supported by Iran," the ad reads.

"Its deadly reach extends to Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia, and across the Middle East. Yet, defying all logic, the European Union insists there are actually two Hezbollahs - one 'political' and the other 'military,' banning only the latter in 2013. This is self-delusion at its worst and most dangerous, allowing Hezbollah to operate its 'political' wing in Europe by recruiting members and raising funds. As Hezbollah leaders themselves declare repeatedly, it is one indivisible organization."

The ad continues: "To date, the Arab League, Argentina, Canada, the Gulf Cooperation Council, Israel, Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States have recognized without qualifications the reality of Hezbollah, and added it to their lists of terrorist organizations."

5. BREAKING!!! Balad votes won't count for Gantz, putting Netanyahu in lead - Jerusalem Post

President Reuven Rivlin subtracted Balad, one of the parties making up the Joint List, from the recommendations for Blue and White leader Benny Gantz to be prime minister. This put Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the lead, with 55 recommendations to Gantz's 54, as meetings between the president and the Knesset factions concluded on Monday.

The remaining Knesset seats belong to Yisrael Beytenu, which chose to recommend no one, because neither candidate committed to forming a Likud/Yisrael Beytenu/Blue and White coalition. The Joint List recommended Gantz - the first candidate it has supported since Yitzhak Rabin in 1992 - in the name of all 13 MKs on Sunday evening.

Soon afterward however, Balad released a statement saying that it does not support the recommendation, but Joint List leader Ayman Odeh said the recommendation is still in the name of all 13 MKs.

Later, Joint List faction chairman Ahmed Tibi sent Rivlin a letter taking back Balad's recommendations. "I would like to notify your honor that three MKs from Balad asked me to notify [you] that the Joint List's recommendation today of Benny Gantz does not include them, and therefore the recommendation is by 10 MKs of Hadash, UAL and Ta'al, and not 13," Tibi wrote to Rivlin.

The Daily Brief

1. Donald Trump to the United Nations: 'The Future Does Not Belong to Globalists' - Breitbart

President Donald Trump emphasized Tuesday the importance of national sovereignty, warning the leaders of the United Nations to reject globalism. "The future does not belong to globalists, the future belongs to patriots, the future belongs to sovereign and independent nations," Trump said.

"Globalism exerted a religious pull over past leaders causing them to ignore their own national interests, but as far as America is concerned, those days are over," Trump said. "America is ready to embrace friendship with all who are willing to embrace peace and respect," he said. "The United States has never believed in permanent enemies."

Trump also addressed illegal immigration activists, accusing them of "false" virtue signaling as criminals exploited loopholes at the expense of innocent people. "Your policies are not just, your policies are cruel and evil," he said.

Trump also spoke about the right of all people to enjoy free speech, vowing to fight for the right for freedom of speech online from big tech companies. The president also touched on the right to self-defense given to Americans by the Second Amendment and reemphasized his commitment to protecting the unborn. (Read more)

- Father, we pray President Trump will be successful in diplomacy around the world, paving the way towards a new level of peace and prosperity for all peoples.

- When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. (Proverbs 16:7)

2. Pelosi announces formal impeachment inquiry against Trump - Fox News

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., announced the formalization of an impeachment inquiry into President Trump Tuesday evening, saying "the president must be held accountable" for his "betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security, and the betrayal of the integrity of our elections."

Pelosi specifically charged that the White House had violated the law by not turning over a whistleblower complaint concerning Trump's July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump allegedly pushed Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The president vowed Tuesday to release a transcript of his call with Zelensky.

"The ironic thing is that everything our critics in the media are leveling at the president from this phone call, and leveling at our administration, everything that Democrats on Capitol Hill are running off and describing -- Vice President Joe Biden bragged about -- which was a quid-pro-quo -- withholding American aid in exchange for a specific action," Vice President Mike Pence told Fox News' "Hannity" on Monday. - Father, we ask You to reveal everyone who is truly corrupt throughout our nation and bring them to justice.

- One whose heart is corrupt does not prosper; one whose tongue is perverse falls into trouble. (Proverbs 17:20)

3. Donald Trump Authorizes Release of Ukraine Phone Call Transcript - Breitbart

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday afternoon that he would release the full transcript of his phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. Since an anonymous "whistleblower" made public allegations that Trump acted inappropriately in a call with Ukraine by asking about investigating his potential opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, Democrats have demanded further details about his conversation.

Establishment media and Democrats are driving the narrative that the president purposefully withheld federal aid to Ukraine in an effort to strong-arm leaders into an investigation of the former vice president and his son Hunter Biden. Trump has denied the allegations. (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to protect President Trump, and those associated with him, from slanderous accusations.

- You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:16)

4. Ukraine whistleblower's lawyers work for group that offers to pay officials who leak against Trump - Washington Examiner

The anonymous U.S. intelligence official accusing President Trump of improperly pressuring Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is represented by two lawyers who run a group that offers financial help to fired whistleblowers.

Whistleblower Aid was launched in September 2017 - eight months after Trump's inauguration - with an advertising blitz that involved mobile billboards being driven close to the White House, Congress, outside the Pentagon, and around the headquarters of the CIA and National Security Agency. The group's pledge of support, in addition to free legal representation including rent and mortgage assistance, media coaching, and doctor's bills and counseling, is controversial among lawyers. Critics say it violates attorney ethics.

Whistleblower Aid was founded by veteran national security defense attorney Mark Zaid and John Tye, a whistleblower who worked to promote internet freedom at the State Department before warning of mass surveillance during the Obama administration. Andrew Bakaj, a former CIA officer who is associated with Zaid's firm, is also a lawyer for Whistleblower Aid. (Read more)

- Father, we pray all the motives and connections of those who make accusations against President Trump will be exposed.

- Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. (Proverbs 26:26)

5. The Trump administration puts a stop to the UN's pro-choice propaganda - Washington Examiner

The purpose of the United Nations, as it defines it, is the "maintenance of international peace and security." But the U.N. has interpreted this mission statement in a way that justifies all sorts of international intrusions, whether that means forcing developing countries to use less energy, launching its own kind of social justice campaign across the globe, and more recently, asserting that easy access to abortion should be an international standard.

Speaking at the General Assembly's meeting on universal health coverage yesterday, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said, "We do not support references to ambiguous terms and expressions, such as sexual and reproductive health and rights in U.N. documents, because they can undermine the critical role of the family."

In a separate letter obtained by the Guardian, Azar and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged other governments to join the Trump administration in opposing "harmful" U.N. policies that undermine the right of a sovereign nation to "determine the best way to protect the unborn and defend the family as the foundational unit of society." (Read more)

- Father, we are grateful the Trump administration stands for life in every venue available. We pray nations will choose life and support family-friendly policies all over the world.

- Now choose life, so that you and your children may live! (Deuteronomy 30:19b)

6. McAleenan: 'DHS Will No Longer Be Releasing Family Units . . . Into The Interior' - SaraACarter

Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan announced in his address to the Council on Foreign Relations Monday morning that the Trump administration ended "catch and release." According to a DHS press release, under the new system, migrants must have a credible fear claim that prevents them from returning to their home country. When this happens, they will be turned over to Mexico.

"With some humanitarian and medical exceptions, DHS will no longer be releasing family units from Border Patrol Stations into the interior," said Acting Secretary McAleenan. "This means that for family units, the largest demographic by volume arriving at the border this year, the court-mandated practice of catch and release, due to the inability of DHS to complete immigration proceedings with families detained together in custody, will have been mitigated. This is a vital step in restoring the rule of law and integrity to our immigration system."

May was the peak month for illegal crossings at the U.S. Mexico border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that 90 percent of migrants that entered the country in May didn't do so through the proper ports of entry. The numbers have since dropped by 64 percent, which Acting Sec. McAleenan attributed to changing the laws, working with our partners in Central America, and "improving conditions" for migrants in border facilities. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for continued progress on this issue of irregular migration. We pray people will choose to stay home and keep their children with them.

- Let all the other people go, each man to his home. (Judges 7:7b)

7. Labor Nominee Scalia Moves Close to Confirmation - Free Beacon

The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) voted 12-11 to formally nominate Eugene Scalia, son of the late Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia, to lead the Department of Labor. Chairman Lamar Alexander (R., Tenn.) dismissed objections from Democrats and praised Scalia's credentials, as well as his transparency in answering more than 400 questions from senators in a lengthy vetting process.

Scalia has received the support of many of his past Labor Department colleagues. More than a dozen officials who worked with Scalia endorsed his nomination, saying that he would make an "outstanding secretary of labor" and would be a champion of worker's rights.

"[Scalia] was very supportive of enforcement litigation to vindicate the rights of workers, both at the trial and appellate levels," they said in a letter submitted to the committee. "He consistently treated us with respect. He was fair, open and honest and listened attentively when we discussed legal issues with him." (Read more)

- Father, we pray the full Senate will vote to confirm Eugene Scalia as Secretary of Labor. We ask You to bless him as he leads this important department.

- Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men. (Proverbs 22:29)

8. Justice Department ends investigation of Tony Podesta, Vin Weber without charges - NBC News

Federal prosecutors have ended an investigation into Democratic lobbyist Tony Podesta and former Rep. Vin Weber, R-Minn., in a case connected to lobbying for Ukraine and Paul Manafort without filing criminal charges, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell NBC News.

The investigation by the Southern District of New York, which focused on whether several prominent Washington lobbyists violated foreign lobbying rules, grew out of special counsel Robert Mueller's inquiry into the finances of Manafort, a former Trump campaign chairman who is now serving a 7.5 year sentence in federal prison.

The dropping of the investigation comes on the heels of the not guilty verdict in the trial of former Obama White House counsel Greg Craig, another case that Mueller's office had passed to federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York. In that case, the New York attorneys decided not to prosecute, sources said, and the case was ultimately brought by federal prosecutors in Washington, only to result in an acquittal for Craig. (Read more)

- Father God, this decision may be right or it may be wrong. We have no way of truly knowing because our justice system has been so politicized. We pray for true and impartial justice throughout our nation.

- The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright. (Proverbs 21:8)

9. Accounts Suspended, Latinos for Trump Accuse Twitter of Political Bias - Epoch Times

Latinos for Trump, an organization committed to expanding President Donald Trump's vote share, claims political bias in Twitter's recent decision to suspend accounts operated by its leaders and key operatives.

Eleven accounts belonging to Latinos for Trump leaders or members were suspended by Twitter following Trump's rally on Sept. 16 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. "Seven members-four leaders and three members-were all suspended at the same time, Tuesday night," Bianca Garcia, national president of Latinos for Trump, told The Epoch Times.

"As Latinos for Trump, we will not be silenced. The more you try to silence us, the louder we get," Garcia said. "If you're going to put out a platform, it should be openly used by anybody, not suppressing one side over another. They need to be fair. I don't want to see regulation, but something needs to be done." (Read more)

- Father, we pray everyone who expresses a political opinion on social media will not be censored in any way. We bind those who wish to control information and we loose those who desire the truth.

- Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18)

10. Planned Parenthood Advised Hollywood On More Than 150 Movies And Shows Since 2014, Director Says - Daily Caller

Planned Parenthood advised Hollywood on more than 150 productions since 2014 as part of an effort to influence the abortion dialogue, a director at the nonprofit said. Hollywood is increasingly cooperative, according to Caren Spruch, Planned Parenthood's director of arts and entertainment engagement.

Spruch pushes screenwriters to discuss abortion or "works as a script doctor" for screenwriters interested incorporating storylines about abortion, birth control or sexually transmitted infections. "We could see hints of her in all the TV shows coming out, from 'Shrill' to 'Jane the Virgin,'" the writer-director of "Obvious Child," Gillian Robespierre, said according to WaPo. "It's really wonderful. She's like Planned Parenthood's secret weapon."

"The abortion industry's grip on Hollywood is well-known, but what might be surprising is how soundly their propaganda has failed to move Americans' minds and hearts," Susan B. Anthony List's Mallory Quigley told the DCNF. "Pro-life sentiment is on the rise. The overwhelming majority of Americans, especially young people, disagree with the extreme agenda of taxpayer-funded abortion on demand through birth and even infanticide." (Read more)

- Father God, we pray the influence of Planned Parenthood will be uprooted from our nation and completely destroyed.

- No more will the wicked invade you; they will be completely destroyed.
(Nahum 1:15b)

Dems accusing Trump of exactly what Clinton, Biden did

The Democrats are screaming impeachment over President Trump inquiring whether Presidential candidate Joe Biden's son was involved in corruption in the Ukraine. AP reports that Trump told reporters, "It's very important to talk about corruption. If you don't talk about corruption, why would you give money to a country that you think, is corrupt?" Trump says that he did not tell the Ukraine president that his country would get US aid only if it investigated Biden's son. The Democrats are trying to make another impeachment case. Politics is a dirty business. People are looking for dirt on other people all the time. It doesn't make it right, but as the President said, if someone is corrupt, people need to know.
There were no Democrats, and very few Republicans for that matter, who even raised an eyebrow at Hillary Clinton's very well documented pay to play scheme when she was Secretary of State. Here is a short list of Clinton's corrupt dealings while she was Secretary of State: Nuclear grade uranium to Russia scoring $145 million to the Clinton Foundation, Bill Clinton's $500,000 speech in Moscow, Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta's $35 million energy deal with Russia, Clinton Foundation receipt of $2.35 million in donations from Ian Telfer, head of Russia's uranium company, and the list goes on and on. But there was no mention by the venerable news media that Clinton should be investigated or removed.
The New York Times confirmed in May that Joe Biden's son Hunter was paid as much as $50,000 per month as a board member of the natural gas firm owned by the Ukrainian oligarchy. Breitbart reports that Vice President Biden was heavily involved in mediating US policy towards Ukraine. When a Ukrainian prosecutor launched a corruption investigation into the energy company of which Hunter Biden was a board member, Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in US loan guarantees to the country if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor. The Hill reported in April that the elder Biden bragged to the Council on Foreign Relations in a 2018 speech how he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its prosecutor.
Now a whistleblower report is claiming that on a call Trump strong-armed Ukraine's president to investigate Biden's son by threatening to withhold foreign aid, although AP reports, the "whistleblower" did not have firsthand knowledge of the call. The Democrats and the media are accusing Trump of doing exactly what Biden admitted he did, but the media was silent when Biden did it. Americans should demand transparency. Moreover, given the track record of all the failed attempts at removing Trump, Americans should demand that politicians do what they were elected to do-work on solving the nation's problems rather than partisan grandstanding that only causes problems. These are perilous times as 2 Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Do not be deceived.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Update: "Shut It Down"

Update: "Shut It Down"

Climate Change Protestors Tied Up Traffic in D.C. on Monday

Editor's note:

We thank Gary Bauer for sending us this report, and we thank all of you for responding to our appeal for prayer over this matter on Sunday night. Had it not been for your prayerful intervention, we are sure that life would have been even worse here in D.C. on Monday. Thank you, all!

While I was stuck in traffic in New York City yesterday, tens of thousands of Washingtonians were stuck in traffic because of the antics of privileged environmental extremists.

Evidently, they thought it would be really dandy to back up their demands of immediate, radical climate action by blocking multiple intersections throughout Washington, D.C., which already has some of the worst traffic in the nation.

Left-wing groups participating in yesterday's protest known as "#Shutdown D.C.," included Extinction Rebellion, Black Lives Matter and the Democratic Socialists of America. Ironically, the result of their climate change protest was that thousands of cars were stuck idling and emitting emissions for at least an hour longer than usual.

Many of the demonstrators appeared to be college students or young adults probably with advanced degrees. Yet in the name of climate change, they prevented children from getting to school on time.

They prevented people from getting to their doctor's appointments. They prevented many hourly workers from getting to the jobs that pay their rent.

Kudos to Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), who is drafting legislation to make demonstrators liable for the costs, such as police overtime, of illegal protests.

And while many young radicals were playing in the D.C. streets, one of their leaders was crying at the U.N. Here we go again. We were supposed to listen to high school students about whether we can keep our Second Amendment rights. Now we're supposed to listen to Greta Thunberg, a 16 year-old Swedish girl, who suggests we are evil unless we completely reorder life on earth, abandon free markets and let government run our lives.
Greta needs to check her privilege. Imagine how the people of developing countries feel about her demand that they give up the very energy sources that make modern life possible.

Again, my friends, this is not a climate/environmental movement. This is a socialist movement, using emotionalism about the environment to destroy free markets. Greta is worried about her future, yet she is living in an era of incredible modern miracles. Yesterday, she addressed the world thanks to the miracle of democratic capitalism and her message essentially was, "Shut it down."

God's People Are Singing!

God's People Are Singing!

Scores of our CHPP readers are responding to the
call to SING UNTO THE LORD at 6:00 p.m. daily!

PRAISE THE LORD!

Dear Friends,

We are delighted to share with you some of the comments we have received since Monday night, calling for a daily "sing-a-thon" before our Lord.

At 6:00 p.m. in each time zone, God's saints are singing praises to Him across our land. This is creating a literal "wave of worship," from the East Coast to the West Coast, in a national symphony of praise!

Below please find the feedback from several of you . . . we are sorry we do not have space to print all of your messages to us.! So, yes, let's sing unto our Lord a "new song" -- whatever song of worship He may "drop" into our heart at the set time: 6:00 p.m. every day.
P.S. Of course, it will require a new level of DISCIPLINE to keep this going and not to lose momentum in the days ahead. Here are three simple tips to help us stay on track with our daily time of PRAISE:

1. SET YOUR ALARM CLOCK:

Using your own cell phone or mobile device, set your own alarm clock to ring at 6:00 p.m. Done!

2. SING WITH A FRIEND!

If you wish, invite a friend in Christ to join you at 6:00 p.m. in that short time of praise. (I have been doing this now since "day one" - each day, one of us takes the lead, calls the other, and announces the song for the day. Lots of fun . . . and something to really look forward to doing every day!)

3. CATCH THE VISION!

Ask our Lord to open our eyes and to catch the vision of what He is doing (and "birthing") through the combined, unified prayers of His saints at this set time each day.

Thank You, Lord!

No matter what . . . or no matter how tough your own day has been . . . as we begin to SING unto Him, our spirits are lifted and we are refreshed in the evening hours.

In His Amazing Grace,

Sara Ballenger, President
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Messages from our Readers!

Messages from our Readers!

(Shown in alternating colors as you read through these together. Praise the LORD!)

1. Dear Sara

It was just this morning that I completed the last pages of Jonathon Cohns book "The Oracle". It has left me in deep thoughtful prayer as how do I now go forward in this powerful message meant for this moment in time. How do we as Christian's (I am a Catholic) knit ourselves in a united stream forward with the Messianic message.

I can't tell you what an awesome thing it is for me to see your dream and request to pray a song at 6:00 pm with a theme that will take me forward to the ultimate will of the Lords return.

I am so grateful.

5. Dear Sarah,

Hallelujah!

Shouts of joy and the sound of worship in the tents of the righteous of the Lord all across the nation. I have set my alarm for 6.

Bless you, Lorraine

6. (This is the second message from Lorraine!)

At 6:00 PM I put a map of the US on my piano and played worship songs for 30 minutes. Being on Long Island felt I like I could see the wave start at the East Gate of the nation and move West. Was so moved by the songs the Lord gave me. Especially "Lift Up Your Heads To the Coming King." Bless you for this ministry!

Lorraine

7. What an excellent idea to draw ALL of our eyes away to give the Father this praise offering every day and what a perfect day to start this as the enemy attacks our precious President with bogus impeachment hearings.

Thank You.

Love,

Lynn B. in North Carolina

8. WE ARE WITH YOU, Sara!

ONE IN THE SPIRIT . . . and not only at 6 PM daily . . . but 24 times a day as we start each hour with a worship song on the 24/7 National Strategic Prayer Network!

xx Jeannie in Paris

12. And finally . . . a powerful word from Gina in Laramie, Wyoming:

Hi Sarah

I was amazed when I saw the headline to your blog today.

I am currently in a 40 day fast and on day #17 the Lord gave me this word:

Tell the saints that I am issuing matching orders. As I give each of you your assignment I ask for no grumbling and complaining. I also ask that you do not compare your assignment with the assignments of others. I tell you that each assignment is important to My plan and that your willingness and obedience is key to the fulfillment of My plans.

It is time for My Bride to cease clamoring for fame and attention in this world . I poured ALL my attention on you when I died on the cross. The fame and celebrity status that the world is offering is fleeting and false. Don't you remember that satan offered Me the same celebrity status at the end of my 40 days in the wilderness? Remember that in order to be great in My Kingdom you must be a servant of all.

Blessings,

Gina

THANK YOU, EVERYONE!

Classic Hymns

I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED

"I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day." (2 Timothy 1:12)

Lyrics

I know not why God's wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.

Refrain

But I know whom I have believèd,
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I've committed
Unto Him against that day.

I know not how this saving faith
To me He did impart,
Nor how believing in His Word
Wrought peace within my heart.

Refrain

I know not how the Spirit moves,
Convincing us of sin,
Revealing Jesus through the Word,
Creating faith in Him.

Refrain

I know not what of good or ill
May be reserved for me,
Of weary ways or golden days,
Before His face I see.

Refrain

I know not when my Lord may come,
At night or noonday fair,
Nor if I walk the vale with Him,
Or meet Him in the air.

Refrain

Signs and Wonders

Already bracing for tropical depression, Puerto Rico rocked by 6.0 earthquake

Already bracing for a tropical system in the next 24 hours, Puerto Rico was hit by an earthquake late Monday.

The earthquake measured a magnitude of 6.0, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, and was located about 46 miles northwest of the island. There is no tsunami threat for the island, or the neighboring U.S. Virgin Islands.

There were at least seven aftershocks over 4.0 magnitude in the hour following the initial quake, which struck at 11:24 p.m. An aftershock of 5.1 was measured just nine minutes after the initial quake, according to the National Weather Service.

An official for the island's Office of Emergency Management told ABC News that the agency's regional offices are in contact with municipalities to get an early report on any damage. At the moment, there are no reports of damage or injuries.

The Office of Emergency Management's offices were already open around the clock ahead of Tropical Depression Karen.

The official said the quake and aftershocks will not impact the agency ahead of Karen.

Puerto Rico Gov. Wanda Vazquez tweeted late Monday, "We hope everyone is well. It is important to remain calm during these natural events to guarantee security."

The preliminary magnitude for the quake was measured at 6.3 magnitude, according to the NWS.

The island already closed schools on Tuesday in preparation for Karen, which is expected to lash Puerto Rico with gusty winds and rain of as much as 4 to 8 inches. The island was spared just last week by Hurricane Humberto as it skirted north of the island.

The Good News Corner

Texas hotel employee, 21, pulls incredibly long solo shift amid Imelda flooding: 'He is our hero'

A young hospitality worker in Texas is earning praise for running an entire hotel by himself after severe flooding caused by Tropical Storm Imelda left guests stranded inside the building.

Satchel Smith, a 21-year-old student at Lamar University, arrived for work at the Homewood Suites in Beaumont at 3 p.m. on Sept. 18, but rising floodwaters soon buried the access road - as well as a section of the I-10 - leaving Smith's co-workers with no way to get to work.

Smith, however, proved to be prepared to step up to the challenge, and proceeded to make the hotel's stranded guests comfortable in any way he could.

"Satchel has been here all night," guest Angela Chandler wrote in a heartfelt post she shared to Facebook. "His coworkers couldn't make it to work so he stayed. He has manned the phones, answered each of our questions, ensured that we have had a hot cup of coffee or tea, and helped serve us a hot breakfast.

"He has handled this situation with grace, kindness, and a beautiful smile on his face," Chandler added.

Smith, who has been working at the Homewood Suites for about a year, said he first learned his co-worker couldn't make it in for her night shift at around 7 p.m., according to KIDY.

"Then the morning came around, and I was the only one there and everyone was expecting breakfast," he said.

The stranded guests offered to help, too, with one volunteering to help him make breakfast while others washed dishes or cleaned the dining area. Amid the storm, some even offered to brave the elements to bring water bottles to stranded truck drivers nearby on the I-10.

"We also invited some people from other hotels to come eat because they didn't have any food," Smith said, per KIDY, explaining that guests helped him cook dinner that evening, too.

When another employee finally came to relieve him from his duties, it was Friday, Sept. 20 - and Smith celebrated by taking a nap and then returning right back to work.

"Going Home" by Libera

Listen to the angelic voices of these sweet young boys from the U.K. by going here.
LYRICS
Going home, going home I'm just going home Quiet like, some still day I'm just going home

It's not far, just close by Through an open door Work all done, cares laid by Going to fear no more

Mother's there expecting me Father's waiting, too Lots of folk gathered there All the friends I knew All the friends I knew I'm going home. . .

Nothing's lost, all's gain No more fret nor pain No more stumbling on the way No more longing for the day Going to roam no more. . .

Morning star lights the way Restless dream all done Shadows gone, break of day Real life begun

There's no break, there's no end Just a living on Wide awake with a smile Going on and on I'm a Going home,

Going home, Going Home I'm just going home It's not far, just close by Through an open door I'm a going home I'm just going home. . . Going home, going home

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
