1. 20 women FIDF supporters to embark on unique mission to Israel - Israel National News

20 leaders and supporters of Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) from across the US will arrive in Israel on Thursday to join the FIDF Women's Mission to Israel, getting a rare glimpse into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the lives of Israel's brave women and men in uniform.

The mission, between March 7 and 15, will bring women of FIDF's chapters around the US, together with officers and soldiers of the IDF, to experience Israel like never before.

Mission participants will receive in-depth briefings by senior military officers, meet state leaders, hear from Israeli women innovators who are reshaping Israeli society, get a behind-the-scenes look at strategic IDF bases, tour Israel's prestigious Maskit fashion house, and engage with women in IDF combat positions.

2. AIPAC: US-Israel partnership 'a pillar of our foreign policy' - Israel National News

AIPAC on Wednesday stressed the importance of the relationship between the United States and Israel in a statement on Twitter ahead of its policy conference to take place in Washington, DC, later this month.

"America's partnership with Israel is a pillar of our foreign policy. A strong US-Israel relationship advances American values, safety, security and economic prosperity. Israeli innovations keep our troops safer and our environment cleaner," said AIPAC.

"In Israel we have a reliable, pro-American ally in an unstable Middle East. We have a partner who promotes our values of freedom, democracy, equality, civil rights and human rights. We have a partner for peace, who wants a better future for its children and those of its neighbors."

3. Palestinian's Plan to Sabotage Trump's 'Deal of the Century' - Jerusalem Online

The atmosphere in the West Bank is tense, and the potential for a violent escalation is growing. The crisis over the Temple Mount's Gate of Mercy (Golden Gate, Shaar HaRachamim in Hebrew, Bab el Rahma in Arabic) could become the detonator that sets off the next conflagration, and Israel must act quickly to neutralize it.

In recent weeks, signs are growing of an imminent explosion in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as the Israeli elections in April draw near.

Israel can take measures to prevent such an explosion. The most serious danger, though, is that of an eruption sparked by events on the Temple Mount, where the new Islamic Waqf Council &hdash; at Jordan's bidding - took over the Gate of Mercy compound by force.

4. The U.S. Peace Plan Will Divide Jerusalem - Saudi Reporter
- Jerusalem Post

A senior reporter for the Al Riyadh, one of Saudi Arabia's most prominent newspapers, claimed that the US President Donald Trump's "Deal of the Century" will divide Jerusalem.

The reporter Hadeel Oueis wrote on her twitter account that "The Old City of Jerusalem will be divided in half: the Arab and Christian quarters will go to the PA [Palestinian Authority], while the Jewish and Armenian quarters will fall under Israeli control."

Oueis further tweeted that "Arab areas adjacent to Palestinian Area A and B will go to a future Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem."

5. UN Human Rights Chief: IDF Uses Disproportionate Force At Gaza Border- Jerusalem Post

Israeli soldiers act with disproportionate force against Palestinian protesters at the Gaza border, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet said on Wednesday.

The end of this month will mark one year since the start of demonstrations which - as the Council's Commission of Inquiry reported - have been met with deadly, disproportionate force by the Israeli Security Forces, leading to a very high toll of killings and injuries," Bachelet said.

Bachelet made her statements about Israel in a speech on global inequity that she delivered to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, which is holding its 40th session this month.

The Daily Brief

1. New, awful data shows that the border invasion is worse than ever - Conservative Review

According to CBP's preliminary figures obtained by the Washington Post, 76,325 illegal aliens were apprehended at the border in February, more than any other month in over a decade since the decline of migration from Mexico. A record 40,325 family units arrived, blowing out the previous records by almost 10,000.

Every few months, the equivalent of a major city of the most impoverished people are coming in and being released into our communities with no regard to our ability to assimilate them, pay for them, or deal with the social concerns and the criminal elements. Not to mention the fact that they are coming from countries dealing with major outbreaks of diseases we eradicated long ago.

Projected for the whole year, this pace would result in 916,000 apprehensions. We are so overrun with migrants and detention facilities are so full that now, even those not eligible for catch-and-release are being released. Nobody in the political class wants to ask who is paying for this. It's the forgotten American taxpayers. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for the people of this nation to rise up and demand long-term immigration solutions, while also holding our elected officials accountable until a solution is implemented.

- A nation has invaded my land, a mighty army without number; Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord. (Joel 1:6,14)

2. Candace Owens: 'I don't want a Green New Deal, I want a Black New Deal' - BPR

Turning Point USA's Candace Owen spoke at the 2019 Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday and demonstrated firsthand why she is such a threat to the progressive left. In calling attention to the plight of the black community over the past 60 years, in large part due to Democratic policies, Owens dismissed the left's irrational calls for a Green New Deal to call for a Black New Deal.

Getting down to the crux of the problem, Owens lectured the Democratic Party on its treatment of black Americans. "Stop taking away our self-confidence by telling us that we can't because of racism, because of slavery. I've never been a slave in this country. Stop telling us we need to be obsessing over our past when we should be obsessing over future and the potential that we have."

Referencing the American colonies breaking away from England, Owens said it's time for people of color to break away from the Democratic Party. "It was common sense then that the colonies should not have been governed by the British monarchy," she explained. "It was time for an American exit. It's common sense today that the black community and Hispanic community should not be covered by a liberal ideology. It's time for a Blexit." (Read more)

- Father, we have seen the great work You have done in the mind and heart of this brave, young woman, Candace Owens, and pray for Your Spirit to shield, instruct and guide her as she communicates Godly principles to her generation.

- But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. (Psalm 3:3)

3. House Democrats erupt in protests over indirect sanction of Rep. Omar for alleged anti-Semitism - MSN/Washington Post

House Democrats erupted in fury Wednesday, challenging leaders over indirectly sanctioning freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar for alleged anti-Semitic remarks. In a closed-door session, Democrats protested plans to vote this week on a resolution condemning religious hatred, a measure prompted by Omar's comments last week suggesting supporters of Israel have "allegiance to a foreign country."

The remarks have exploded into a larger debate over how Congress should respond to individual racial and religious grievances. It also touched off Democratic concerns that the splintering was overshadowing the newfound majority's agenda, with Republicans seeking to capi¬tal¬ize politically on the divide. GOP leaders accused Democrats Wednesday of tolerating anti-Semitism by refusing to remove Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which has jurisdiction of the U.S.-Israel relationship.

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) said Wednesday there may not be a vote this week on any resolution. But other lawmakers, including a group of Jewish members who pushed to pass the resolution focused on anti-Semitism, remain convinced that the House needs to act in response to Omar's remarks. (Read more)

- Father, we pray Representatives who hold anti-Semitic views will either have a genuine change of heart or be removed from Congress.

- Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. (Psalm 68:1)

4. Trump to nominate federal prosecutor Jessie Liu for No. 3 Justice Department post - Reuters

President Donald Trump plans to nominate Jessie Liu, the current U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, to serve in the third-ranking post at the Justice Department, the department said on Tuesday. If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Liu would serve as associate attorney general - a job that involves overseeing the department's civil litigation, including antitrust matters, civil rights, and environmental law.

U.S. Attorney General William Barr confirmed the plan in a statement, adding that he had recommended Liu for the post. "With her record of public service, particularly in civil justice and federal law enforcement matters, it is clear that she will be an outstanding addition to our leadership team at the Department," Barr said.

The associate attorney general's job at the Justice Department does not involve overseeing criminal cases or national security. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Your Spirit to guide the confirmation process for nominee, Jessie Liu.

- But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13)

5. Dem lawmaker introduces amendment to lower voting age to 16 in federal elections - The Hill

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) on Tuesday introduced an amendment to the House election reform bill that would lower the voting age from 18 to 16 in federal elections. Her amendment would require states to "permit an individual to register to vote or vote in an election for Federal office held in the State on the grounds of the individual's age if the individual will be at least 16 years of age on the date of the election."

"Across this nation, young people are leading the way - from gun violence, to climate change, to the future of work - they are organizing, mobilizing, and calling us to action," Pressley said in a statement. The amendment is a part of a sweeping anti-corruption and voting rights bill, known as H.R. 1, that Democrats in the House are expected to pass this week. The measure, among other things, aims to expand voting rights by creating automatic voter registration and making Election Day a national holiday for federal workers.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has said the bill would not be brought to the floor for a vote in the upper chamber. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for the complete and total defeat of H.R. 1 within the House of Representatives.

- Vindicate me in your righteousness, Lord my God; do not let them gloat over me. (Psalm 35:24)

6. Republicans, seeing opportunities in the suburbs, advance paid leave plans - Roll Call

Democrats have dominated discussions surrounding parental leave for decades. But Republicans are now poised to introduce a raft of new proposals in the coming weeks, reflecting the party's effort to win back the suburban women it lost in the midterms.

Lawmakers working on new legislation include Sens. Mike Lee of Utah, Joni Ernst of Iowa, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana and Rep. Ann Wagner of Missouri, Roll Call has confirmed. Spurred in part by activism from Ivanka Trump, a growing number of Republicans have embraced arguments that it would improve maternal and fetal health, provide income stability for families, and strengthen caregivers' connection to the workforce.

The bills are the first wave of what GOP pollsters, strategists and advocates of paid leave expect to be a surge of paid leave proposals from Republicans in the run-up to 2020. "A lot of swing women voters are up for grabs in the next election," said Olivia Perez-Cubas, a spokeswoman for Winning for Women, a group dedicated to electing Republican women. "This could be one of those issues that brings them in." (Read more)

- Father, we lift up these plans and pray for Your will to be done in this matter.

- Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

7. Trump Administration Launches Apprenticeship Website - Breitbart

Labor Secretary Alex Acosta said on Monday that the Trump administration has launched a new website to encourage young Americans to consider trade apprenticeships as a viable alternative to a costly and often debt-inducing college education.

Acosta, speaking at the National Association of Counties annual legislative conference, announced the launch of apprenticeship.gov and explained how it would help young career seekers, educators, and employers. The website - with a banner that reads, "Your One-Stop Source for All Things Apprenticeship" - features a wide range of information, including a search engine for locating apprenticeships and articles about some of those opportunities.

The website also allows employers to post apprenticeships and offers educators a way to partner with apprenticeship programs to benefit their students. The website also offers a few statistics; 91 percent of completed apprenticeships result in employment, 461,000 new apprenticeships have been provided since January 1, 2017, and the average starting wage is $60,000 a year. (Read more)

- Father, we pray this website will be successful in connecting young people with careers that help them avoid debt and develop the skills they need for a good living.

- Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

8.Why Trump Must Veto the Federal Land Grab Bill - CNS News

"America will never be a socialist country," Trump pledged in his speech in Florida. Well said. And the first big step that Trump could take in preventing any slippery slide in that direction would be to veto the Land and Water Conservation Fund bill, which enables the federal government to spend billions to purchase millions of acres of private lands for "conservation."

This is the reverse of privatization - it is the nationalization of our nation's farmland, forests, streams and pastures. If there were ever a bill that deserves Donald Trump's first veto, it is this one.

There is another important reason Trump should veto this spending bill. It would take royalty payments from valuable oil and gas drilling leases and use those funds for the government's land purchasing scheme. We need more roads and bridges, new pipelines and better ports. And an ingenious way to pay for them is through leases. Two new studies from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity estimate that the net value of drilling and mining on federal lands and waters could reach $3 to $5 trillion over the next 30 years. That money could pay for a lot of roads, airports, pipelines, bridges and fiber-optic cables to connect America - and without having to charge taxpayers a single penny. (Read more)

- Father, we pray this bill removing land from production will be vetoed by President Trump.

- The king gives stability to the land by justice. (Proverbs 29:4)

9. Jack Phillips Vindicated as 'Overwhelming Evidence' Exposes State 'Hostility' Against Christian Baker - CBN News

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is reporting that the transgender cake case against Christian baker Jack Phillips is being dropped. "The state of Colorado is dismissing its case against Jack, stopping its six and a half years of hostility toward him for his beliefs," said ADF Senior Vice President of US Legal Division Kristen Waggoner, who had argued on behalf of Phillips at the US Supreme Court.

"Jack's victory is great news for everyone. Tolerance and respect for good-faith differences of opinion are essential in a diverse society like ours," Waggoner continued. "But the state's demonstrated and ongoing hostility toward Jack because of his beliefs is undeniable."

ADF Senior Counsel Jim Campbell added, "He shouldn't be driven out of business just because some people disagree with his religious beliefs and his desire to live consistently with them. We look forward to the day when Jack doesn't have to fear government punishment for his faith or harassment from people who oppose his beliefs." (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for the stand Jack Phillips has made to defend his right to live by the leading and conviction of His relationship with You.

- Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. (Isaiah 1:17)

10. China Reduces Economic Growth Forecast, Announces Tax Cuts - Breitbart

China reduced its forecast for economic growth in the coming year on Tuesday, potentially heralding the slowest growth in 30 years, and announced $298 billion in tax cuts to stimulate the economy. The premier's office broke with recent tradition by declining to offer targets for retail sales or fixed-asset investment growth.

Economists outside the Chinese government predict 6.2 percent growth in 2019 and further "easing" in the two years after that. Stabilizing the currency, maintaining employment levels, and preventing further debt accumulation appear to be high priorities for Beijing.

Business Insider took a considerably gloomier view of the revised Chinese economic forecast, calling it "a sign of how much pain Trump's trade war is causing." BI noted the Chinese premier explicitly discussed the "adverse effect" of "economic and trade frictions" in his report, making a "rare acknowledgment of weakness." (Read more)

- Father, we declare Your sovereignty over the Chinese economy and pray our nation will not come into agreement with them unless it is Your will.

- You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28)

Prophetic Confusion among Christians

There seems to be confusion among many Christians about the chronology of prophecy as laid out by Christ in Matthew 24 and by the Apostle Paul in his letters to the Thessalonians. This confusion generates responses, at times hostile ones, when statements are made such as "We can't stop the march of prophecy, but it is far better for America to be on the side of God when the Messiah returns." It matters because in Matthew 25:32, Christ gathers all the nations before him and separates "them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from goats," which leads to judgment of individuals. Some people angrily say, "What does it matter, Christians won't be around anyway?" According to scripture, it matters.

In answering his disciples specific questions about the end of days, Jesus laid out the chronology by first warning, "Take heed that no man deceive you." In Mark 13:24 Christ says, "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light." Verse 26 says, "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven." In Matthew 24:29-31 is the same, beginning with "immediately after the tribulation of those days" and "Then" 1) Son of man appears, and 2) gather the elect.

At the time of the writing of Paul's epistles to the churches, deceivers had already started confusing the saints with false teachings. Paul wrote the Thessalonians to correct these falsehoods, saying in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand, Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition...so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

This is very clear about what will occur prior to the gathering of the saints unto Christ: 1) don't be deceived, 2) falling away, 3) beast (antichrist) revealed, 4) sits in the temple as God. Daniel 9, of which Christ speaks in Matthew 24, is similar: 1) Beast (antichrist) appears, 2) covenant confirmed, 3) temple sacrifice ceases, 4) overspreading of abominations, 5) temple made desolate by beast. The Apostle John gives a very detailed account of the same events in Revelation. Other prophets are also consistent-Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joel and more.

Christ, the prophets, and the Apostles such as Paul sought to bring clarity to prophecy, not confusion based on man's own agendas and interpretations. I am not debating what you believe. I am pointing out what the Bible says in context. In terms of these end of the world prophecies, and the often complex "biblical" narratives and teachings that surround them, wouldn't it make sense for you, yourself, to check them out in the context of the Holy Scriptures? You don't need some guy with the gift of gab to tell you what he thinks the Bible means. He won't stand in your place before the Lord. Only you. Anger solves nothing. Just read the Bible for yourself and ask the Lord to give you understanding.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
