President Trump's First Veto

Angel Families Celebrate with Trump, He Signs First Veto to Secure Border

Angel families celebrated in the Oval Office with law enforcement and President Donald Trump as he signed his first veto to retain his border emergency declaration Friday.

Angel mom Mary Ann Mendoza spoke to the president, sheriffs and law enforcement gathered in the room, and to the television cameras. She told of her Mesa, Arizona, Police Officer son Brandon Mendoza who was killed by a repeat criminal illegal alien and told Americans why the angel parents fight to speak out about the emergency at the U.S. southern border.

Mendoza spoke directly to the cameras, then as she concluded turned to the president to thank him and shake his hand for keeping his promises:

> > > Angel families come forward to tell their stories not because we've created a manufactured crisis, but because we want to tell the American people and share with you our heartache and let you know what is happening on our doorsteps, what's happening to your neighbors, what's happening to your fellow Americans, and there is a way to prevent this and it's not by continually lying to you and telling you that there isn't a problem. There is a problem. It's a national emergency and thank you for following through on your promises.
Trump called the resolution Congress passed Thursday in an attempt to halt his national emergency declaration, a "dangerous resolution that if signed into law would put countless Americans in danger, very grave danger."

"To ensure the safety and security of all Americans, I will be signing and issuing a formal veto of this reckless resolution and that's what it was," said Trump.

The president called those votes to stop his border emergency declaration, "a vote against reality." He called the situation at the U.S. southern border a an "invasion" with the flow of drugs coming in.

Vice President Mike Pence referenced the angel parents and families as he told the president, "You're keeping your word by vetoing this legislation."
"Let's get this signed right? On behalf of your great loved ones, right?" the president said to angel families.

"They will not have died in vain." These were among president Trump's last words to angel families before signing the veto. He recalled the angel families telling him on the 2016 campaign trail that he would win the presidential election and their children will not have died in vain.

The president handed the pen used to sign the veto to an angel parent.

"We're building a lot of wall right now," said Trump.

"You're strong people, you're strong and you're proud," president Trump told the angel families, as he expressed his gratitude to them.

Angel families in attendance included angel moms Sabine Durden, Mary Ann Mendoza, and Laura Wilkerson; angel dad Steve Ronnebeck and Tom Murphy, and angel brother Kent Terry. (Breitbart) Read more.

- Father God, we thank You again for giving us a President who will remain true to his word and his promise, even in the face of severe opposition in Congress. We thank You for the strength demonstrated by the angel families, and for the honor they have been given by this veto. In Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

- "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37)

Massacre in New Zealand

49 killed and dozens, including young children, injured in New Zealand mass shootings targeting mosques

Three people are in custody -- one of whom was charged with murder -- after at least one heavily-armed shooter mowed down Muslim worshippers at Friday prayer, massacring 49 people in two New Zealand mosques while broadcasting a horrific live stream of the terror attack.

A 28-year-old Australian-born citizen was in custody after claiming responsibility for the attacks in Christchurch and allegedly posting a white nationalist manifesto immediately before the murder spree. The man, who was not identified, was described by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison as "an extremist, right-wing, violent terrorist" and he is expected to appear in court on Saturday.

In addition to the dead, health officials said 48 people are currently being treated at Christchurch Hospital for gunshot wounds. Officials say the patients range from young children to adults and the injuries range from minor to critical. (Fox News) Read more.

- Almighty God, we pray that this Australian-born shooter will repent of this horrific sin and find salvation of his soul through Jesus Christ. We pray for the 49 families that are suffering loss of their relatives because of this mass murder incident. May they likewise cry out to God in their grief and become believers in Jesus as their Savior of their souls. And Lord, for the many who were wounded and who remain in hospitals today, we pray that Your healing touch would rest upon them. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17)

President Trump Saves the Wilderness

President Trump Quietly Signs Largest Wilderness Preservation Bill in a Decade

President Donald Trump this week signed a massive wilderness preservation bill that sets aside 1.3 million acres of federal land in California, Oregon, Utah and New Mexico as wilderness. Land designed as wilderness cannot be used for logging, oil drilling or mining.

"This law will give countless Americans the chance to enjoy the natural wonders of our country as we uphold our responsibility to protect the beauty and glory of God's creation for generations to come," Trump said, according to the Victorville Daily Press.

The bill creates 375,000 acres of wilderness in the Mojave Desert, according to San Jose's The Mercury News.

The bill expands Death Valley National Park by 35,929 acres and Joshua Tree National Park by 4,518 acres.

Geary Hund, executive director of the Joshua Tree-based Mojave Desert Land Trust, called the action a "huge win for conservation. . . It ensures that some of the most important natural and cultural resources in the Mojave Desert will be protected and connected in perpetuity," Hund said in a statement.

Hund said the areas that are targeted are "critically important" to desert ecosystems and "iconic desert species," such as the desert tortoise and bighorn sheep.

The "John D. Dingell Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act," is a collection of Republican and Democratic proposals, including those to expand protection for various rivers, establish new Civil War monuments in Kentucky and in Mississippi and honor civil rights leaders Medgar and Myrlie Evers.

The bill will also permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which is used to fund parks and outdoor recreational amenities.

The law establishes the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps, which is designed to provide job training for youth, veterans, and Native Americans on public and tribal lands.

Trump's signature of the bill drew support from Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a frequent critic of Trump.

"I thank President Trump for signing our lands package into law. His effort to achieve energy dominance for our nation while simultaneously working with us to create a conservation legacy with this lands package exceeds the accomplishments of his recent predecessors," Murkowski said in a statement.

"This law will benefit every state and clear the deck of issues that we've been working to resolve for years. From providing access for sportsmen to creating new economic opportunities for local communities, this is a good, balanced measure. We built it through a team effort that drew strong support from both parties in both chambers. Today is a triumph for good process and good policy, and this bill is a win for Alaskans and all Americans," she said. (Western Journal) Read more.

- Father God, we thank You that, step by step and day by day, President Trump IS working -- often very quietly -- to "make America great again." We repent for the media that refuses to acknowledge all the achievements of this administration, and we ask that a way be made for the public to grasp the full extent of President Trump's many accomplishments while in office. We ask this Your name, amen.

- "Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You ." (Jer. 32:17)

When the good do nothing

Edmund Burke is credited with the quote: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Certainly, we are told by the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:21, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." In this case, the Greek word used for "overcome" can be interchanged with "conquer." We are not to be conquered by evil, but to conquer evil with good. So Burke's quote is quite right in the sense that if good men do nothing in the face of evil, evil with triumph. This is one of the problems we have with our political system. Year after year we elect the same kinds of people and we expect them to do what they say. We are mostly disappointed because of a lack of quality and character.

People have often asked about why we have such questionable candidates running for office. The choices, they say, are subpar. The short answer is that we need to recruit better candidates. That recruitment process starts at the local level, meaning that we should be involved at the precinct or county committee level and exercise our opinions on candidate selection. But even at that foundational level of all politics, there is built into the system these days a tremendous flaw. Those who run for office may start out believing they can make a difference, but the longer they are in politics and the higher the office they seek, the less in touch they are with their original values. It really is a true formula.

Over my years in politics, I saw really good people with great ideals slowly erode into minions for the party machine or other outside influences that "redirected" their thoughts and stances on issues they once held dear as non-negotiable. Moreover, the very essence of politics in today's environment would strongly discourage or even prevent a good person from running for office. Who in their right mind would subject their family, friends, business associates, or even themselves to a process that seeks as a price of entry the destruction of reputations built over a lifetime? Everything that was done by a candidate during his life is open to the twisting of half-truths or lies or worse by the opposition.

In many cases-and I know this is true because I am a veteran of political campaigns-a lie is spoken on purpose to get a willing reporter to write a story. Once the story is written, it has legs that can be run through the public, then used again in negative campaign ads, and can be recycled in debates, and so on. Often these lies are proven to be lies long after the election-long after the reputation is ruined, marriages are left on questionable ground, jobs are lost. This is what our political system has become. No good person would even enter the building politic knowing this risk. Hence, evil advances. It takes a special kind of person to put all at risk to overcome this evil. They are hard to find.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Once each week, on Sunday mornings and for 24 hours, join with others in OPERATION RESTORATION . . .

"Operation Restoration"

This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!

"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.

It is written:

. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."

This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.

Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!

You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:
712-770-5350
Access Code: 150411##
Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our land." Amen.

Our Weekly Prayer Focus

Our Weekly Prayer Focus:

For the week of March 17 - 23, 2019

Published by the National Prayer Embassy

March 17th each year is celebrated in several English speaking nations around the world as "Saint Patrick's Day" in honor of a fifth century Irish church planner whose efforts led to Christianity replacing paganism as the dominant religion of Ireland. Patrick used the three-petaled green shamrock to teach about the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Thus, the color green is associated with Saint Patrick's Day. Lesser known but recorded in Patrick's book entitled The Confession is how he used supernatural power encounters, as led by the spirit of God, to confront pagan advisers to local warlords across Ireland, so that the power of the devil was broken off of these local leaders so that they could then come to faith in Christ. Let's pray about this today:
"Father God, in the name of Jesus, we thank You for the memory of Saint Patrick as a church planting nation-changer. We thank You, Lord, for sending forth similar laborers into Your harvest worldwide in our time, to cast out the devil, especially from around local and national leaders and to welcome the Holy Spirit to saturate, dominate and control every nation for Your glory. We thank You, Lord, for more and more manifestations of Your power gifts of special faith working of miracles and gifts of healings to help lead all nations to flow into Your kingdom. Grant unto Your servants, O Lord, that with all boldness we may speak Your word as You stretch forth Your hand to heal and do signs and wonders in the name of Your Holy child, Jesus.

We thank You for giving utterance, opportunity and open hearted spiritual atmosphere to all of Your people to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple all nations, especially local and national leaders, by Your word. We thank You, Lord, that just like for Patrick You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind and we thank You, Lord, for helping us to stir ourselves up in all Your fruit and gifts for the spread of Your gospel in Jesus' name, Amen!"
