1. Hamas again demands money from Israel - Israel National News

Hamas is again demanding money for salaries for its employees in Gaza at a sum of $20 million as a condition for restoring calm along the Gaza border, Kan 11 News reported on Monday.

According to the report, a source in Hamas said that "Israel violated the original ceasefire and if it wants to return to it, the salaries of the clerks must be renewed. At the moment there is no calm, you violated it and therefore returned the incendiary and explosive balloons returned."

Israel recently allowed two installments of Qatari money which was meant for the salaries of Hamas employees in the enclave. It postponed the third installment in January, following the shooting of an IDF soldier by a terrorist from Gaza.

2. A synagogue on the Temple Mount? Activists call for construction to begin - Jerusalem Post

A large group of Israeli activists are calling on the government to establish a synagogue on the Temple Mount and open it for Jewish prayer, according to media reports.

On Sunday, Religious Zionists leaders gathered to discuss the situation on the Temple Mount, known as Har Habayit in Hebrew. The reports did not indicate specifically which leaders took part in the talks.

Jews believe the site - venerated as holy in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam alike - is where the Beit Hamikdash used to sit.

3. 5 Mosques and Counting on Temple Mount - Jerusalem Online

The Gate of Mercy (Shaar Ha'Rachamim) compound is the fifth mosque that the Muslims have created on the Temple Mount. After 1967, there was only one functioning mosque there.

The Muslims are not satisfied with this, and they have been eroding the status quo over the past three decades in many ways. There is no basis for their constant protests against Israel for violating the status quo on the Temple Mount.

The Waqf and the Muslims are turning the tables and rewriting history, which they are well aware of, when they describe Israel's attempt to close the Gate of Mercy as a breach of the status quo on the Temple Mount.

4. Netanyahu launches campaign with fiery solo address- World Israel News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially launched his Likud party's election campaign on Monday night, attempting to portray a stark contrast between Israel's trajectory under his administration and the country's future should "dangerous and irresponsible leftists" take control.

While Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit was not mentioned by name and the corruption cases at which Netanyahu remains the center were only referenced in passing, the shadow of the premiere's current legal battles loomed large over the event, held at the Kfar Maccabiah event hall in Ramat Gan.

Netanyahu spoke for close to three-quarters of an hour, taking aim at his stiffest challengers in the Blue and White party. While the prime minister shook hands with inner-party rival Gideon Sa'ar, he did not permit the former minister to address the crowd from the dais, keeping the event a one-speaker affair.

5. In first, US deploys advanced THAAD missile defense system in Israel - Times of Israel

The US military deployed in Israel for the first time its most advanced missile defense system as part of an exercise with the Israeli military.

In a statement Monday, the Israel Defense Forces said the United States European Command's deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) was meant to drill dispatching the system quickly across the world and working together with Israeli air defenses against threats such as long-range ballistic missiles.

"The IDF is working in cooperation with US forces in order to enhance coordination between the two militaries and to strengthen the ability to defend Israeli airspace," it said.

The Daily Brief

1. House Judiciary committee to request Trump-related documents - NBC

The chairman of the House committee that would be in charge of impeachment says the committee will request documents on Monday from more than 60 people from President Donald Trump's administration, family and business as it begins investigations.

Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York says the House Judiciary Committee's inquiries are intended "to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power."

Nadler isn't calling the inquiry an impeachment investigation but tells ABC's 'This Week" that House Democrats now in the majority are simply doing "our job to protect the rule of law" after Republicans during the first two years of Trump's term were "shielding the president from any property accountability." (Read more)

- Father, this President is no worse than any other President in our history. But we are grateful that he fights against the DC swamp. We ask Your hand of favor upon him, and protect him and his family against unwarranted measures taken by his opposition.

- "Did he not fear the Lord and seek the Lord's favor? And the Lord relented concerning the doom which He had pronounced against them. But we are doing great evil against ourselves." (Jeremiah 26:19b)

2. Mark Warner says there's 'enormous' evidence of Russia-Trump collusion - Fox News

Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., on Sunday said there are "enormous amounts of evidence" linking the Trump campaign to Russia - the same day House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said there's "direct evidence" of collusion between the two.

The top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee disputed on NBC's "Meet the Press" recent remarks by Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C. claiming that the committee hasn't found "factual evidence" of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Warner, referring to "the litany of what we know," said, "the ongoing negotiations about Trump Tower, well into the campaign, I believe the fact that Mr. Trump knew about the dump of the Wikileaks material, the fact that clearly the meeting at Trump Tower meeting which was not described appropriately, in terms of offering dirt," were all evidence.

"To me, that's all evidence," he said. "There's no one that could factually say there's not plenty of evidence of collaboration or communications between Trump Organization and Russians." (Read more)

- Lord, no matter what the evidence actually is, political attacks are creating an almost untenable position for the President to be able to function. We pray him to hear specifically from You for every move he may make.

-"When the wicked came against me, to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear." (Psalm 27:2, 3a)

3. Eric Holder calls for an end to the electoral college: 'It's undemocratic' - Washington Times

Former Attorney General Eric Holder, who is considering a 2020 presidential bid, called Tuesday to abolish the Electoral College, saying it's a "vestige of the past." The push comes after President Trump won in 2016 by 77 Electoral College votes, but lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by more than 2.8 million.

"It's undemocratic, forces candidates to ignore majority of the voters and campaign in a small number of states. The presidency is our one national office and should be decided - directly - by the voters," Mr. Holder said on Twitter.

The potential Democratic presidential candidate issued the tweet while linking to an article from The Washington Post that notes nearly a dozen traditionally blue states have passed legislation to circumvent the Electoral College. Mr. Holder has said he'll decide whether to seek the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination sometime in March. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will block any and all attempts to remove the electoral college.

- "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." (Psalm 34:17)

4. Undercover Investigator Exposes How Absentee Ballots Are Key To Stealing Elections - Washington Standard

We have known that election fraud is an issue for quite some time now, but only recently have we got an inside view of how the Native American reservations are used to swing elections; and because of the nature of their independent nation status, there is a lack of political will to address the issue.

The simple fact is that the Native American reservations are left to regulate themselves. Candace Whitelight is an investigative reporter who works undercover for NorthWest Liberty News on one of the reservations. She has made numerous insider contacts and is masterfully piecing together the big picture of the numerous avenues used by those who steal elections on, and off, of Montana's reservations.

The most pressing issue that we face right now in regards to election fraud is absentee ballots. The 2020 election is closer than you might think and we need to all mobilize and stop the election fraud. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will help stem the tide of election fraud across the political spectrum. Whether it is on a reservation or in a regular state election boards, we pray for Your hand against the theft of votes either by absentee ballots or other subterfuge.

- "For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering. I will direct their work in truth." (Isaiah 61:8)

5. Rashida Tlaib's campaign paid her $17,500 in salary after Election Day, in possible violation of FEC rules: report - Fox News

U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., is facing questions after campaign records revealed she paid herself $17,500 as a salary after the midterm elections, in what appeared to be a violation of campaign finance rules, a report said.

Tlaib, a firebrand freshman Democrat from Detroit, has been facing scrutiny over her connections to radical anti-Israel activists and a profane call to impeach President Trump.

She caused uproar on Capitol Hill earlier this week by insinuating that Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C. -- her colleague on the House Oversight and Reform Committee -- had used Trump family friend Lynne Patton, an African-American, as a racist "prop" during former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's appearance before the panel. (Later, Tlaib and Meadows were seen sharing an embrace on the House floor, after apparently resolving their differences.)

Yet the latest filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) may land the radical congresswoman into hot water with questions on whether her campaign broke the rules after making salary payments to Tlaib after Election Day last year. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask for truth to come to all of our new "freshmen" Democrats, in that hope that You will be able to change their hearts. We bind the power of arrogance and pride, and loose Your Holy Spirit to move in their lives.

-"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." (Proverbs 16:18)

6. Ilhan Omar Doubles Down on Antisemitic Slur: No 'Allegiance' to Israel - Breitbart

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) doubled down Sunday on her comment last week accusing pro-Israel Americans of "allegiance to a foreign country," repeating that view on Twitter and defying calls from fellow Democrats to apologize.

Omar's remarks were roundly criticized - even by liberals. On Friday, House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) blasted Omar for what he called a "vile anti-Semitic slur," and demanded "that she retract them, apologize, and commit to making her case on policy issues without resorting to attacks that have no place in the Foreign Affairs Committee or the House of Representatives."

Along similar lines, Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY) tweeted Saturday that she was "saddened" that Omar "continues to mischaracterize support for Israel," and urged her "to retract this statement and engage in further dialogue with the Jewish community." (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You would show Omar the truth. However You can transform her hatred of Israel and America, we ask that you just do it.

- "He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord." (Proverbs 17:15)

7. Payments to Ocasio-Cortez boyfriend spur FEC complaint from Republican group - Fox News

A Republican group filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday alleging that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's campaign may have illegally funneled thousands of dollars through an allied PAC to boyfriend Riley Roberts.

Members of the Washington, D.C.-based Coolidge Reagan Foundation allege in their complaint that when the Brand New Congress PAC (BNC) -- a political arm of Brand New Congress LLC, a company that was hired by Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., to run and support her campaign -- paid Roberts for marketing services, it potentially ran afoul of campaign finance law.

"It's not illegal for [Ocasio-Cortez] to pay her boyfriend, but it appears that they created some sort of scheme to avoid claiming the money [as a campaign expense]," Dan Backer, a D.C.-based attorney who filed the complaint on behalf of the foundation, told Fox News. "What exactly did he do for that money?"

It was first reported last week that the Brand New Congress PAC paid Roberts during the early days of the Ocasio-Cortez campaign. According to FEC records, the PAC made two payments to Roberts - one in August 2017 and one in September 2017 - both for $3,000. (Read more)

- Lord, this Representative has been arrogant, impudent, and uncaring about the ordinary Americans. We pray that You would change her life and her heart so that her passion would be redirected toward You.

- "And by the fear of the Lord, one departs from evil." (Proverbs 16:6c)

8. Alabama tornado damage looks like 'someone took a giant knife and just scraped the ground,' sheriff says - Fox News

Rescuers are scouring through what remains of destroyed homes as part of an intense ground search in southeast Alabama on Monday after a deadly tornado tore through the region, killing least 23 and leaving a number in the "double digits" of people who are missing. Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said at a morning news conference that most of the destruction was focused in an area along Alabama Highway 51 in Beauregard that is about a half-mile wide.

"It looks almost as like someone took a giant knife and just scraped the ground. There are slabs where homes formerly stood," he told reporters. "Whole forested areas, trees are just snapped and lying on the ground." Jones said the death toll remained at 23 people as of 8 a.m., but was expected to rise as the day goes on. Among the dead included a 6-year-rold child, according to Jones. He said more children were among the dead, but did not have additional details. (Read more)

- Lord as the death toll climbs from this situation, we pray that You would comfort the families who have lost loved ones, and assist them in recovering from the devastation. In this time of need, may Your Spirit bring about life and hope.

- "To comfort all who mourn." (Isaiah 61:2c)

9. Defense Experts: China Poses an 'Existential Threat' to America - Breitbart

China's growing power throughout the world presents an existential threat to Americans' future that they are not prepared for, experts warned Thursday during a panel discussion at the 2019 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

"This is an existential threat. The American people are not prepared to deal with it, but this will be the challenge of our generation, and maybe later ones as well," said Gordon G. Chang, author and expert on China.

The panel, entitled, "China, the Global Menace," was one of several during the three-day conference exploring the challenge to the U.S. from a rising China. Rick Fisher, senior fellow on Asian Military Affairs at the International Assessment and Strategy Center, said China has been methodically building networks around the world, as well as a military that will project power around the globe.

"China for 30 years has been assiduously gathering economic power in all regions of the planet, using this economic power to gather political networks, and is today convincing those political networks to begin military cooperation to proto-alliance cooperation with China," he said. (Read more)

- Father, we lift our nation before You and pray Your protection over our military. We ask that wisdom come to our leaders regarding what to do to counter the Chinese threat.

- "You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me." (Psalm 119:98)

10. Trump administration launches global effort to end criminalization of homosexuality - NBC News

The Trump administration is launching a global campaign to end the criminalization of homosexuality in dozens of nations where it's still illegal to be gay, U.S. officials tell NBC News, a bid aimed in part at denouncing Iran over its human rights record.

U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, the highest-profile openly gay person in the Trump administration, is leading the effort, which kicks off Tuesday evening in Berlin. The U.S. embassy is flying in LGBT activists from across Europe for a strategy dinner to plan to push for decriminalization in places that still outlaw homosexuality - mostly concentrated in the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

"It is concerning that, in the 21st century, some 70 countries continue to have laws that criminalize LGBTI status or conduct," said a U.S. official involved in organizing the event.

Although the decriminalization strategy is still being hashed out, officials say it's likely to include working with global organizations like the United Nations, the European Union and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as other countries whose laws already allow for gay rights. Other U.S. embassies and diplomatic posts throughout Europe, including the U.S. Mission to the E.U., are involved, as is the State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor. (Read more)

- Father, the actions of Muslim countries like Iran, who throw gays off of buildings, or stone them to death are a point of grief for all who love You. Butonly a move of Your Spirit can cleanse the world of their sins, whether sexual or murderers. We pray for Your touch on this world that desperately needs to know You.

- "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness, and of judgment." (John 16:8)

The gun amendment that exposed communists in Congress

A closed-door meeting of House Democratic Congressmen revealed a stark and decisive move by the party toward communism as supported by Democratic Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Ocasio-Cortez was outraged by Democrats who sided with Republicans in amending a bill to require undocumented immigrants (illegal aliens) who try to buy guns to be reported to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She threatened to put the wayward Democrat moderates (who are leftists in the first place) on a list to be challenged by Democratic Socialists in the next election. Think about this-Democrats are for gun control, yet they want illegal immigrants to be armed.

In an atmosphere where Democrats are accusing Republicans of not wanting to work together to solve the nations problems, behind closed doors, the Dems are arguing that none of them should be allowed to support any Republican initiative. Those who do should be disciplined, they say. BUT THIS IS NOT THE REAL STORY. The real story is that there is a tremendous shift toward communism in the Democratic Party, led by Democratic Socialists such as Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), Ocasio-Cortez and others. They are supporting aggressive disruption, revolution and even violence. The idea that they want illegals crossing the border to be able to buy guns in America is a sure sign of what's ahead.

Look no further than the Democratic Socialists plans to elect Sanders president and to support congressional candidates of their party, which is a communist party offshoot. Quoting from their now public campaign strategy document, the Democratic Socialists plan to organize youth into radical platoons "intended to help imbue the (Sanders) campaign with an organized socialist, anti-racist, and anti-imperialist contingent as well as connecting YDSA (Young Democratic Socialists of America) militants to a genuine mass movement through which they can organize alongside a broader layer of progressive and working class youth." Can anyone say Antifa, La Raza, New Black Panthers or name other violent radical militant organizations?

According to the leftists, guns in the hands of people who resist communism is a bad thing; guns in the hands of people who want to foment revolution as manipulated by the communists is a good thing. This is the dangerous hypocrisy of the progressive (socialist, communist) movement in America that has blossomed as mainstream in the Democratic Party. Obstruction, disruption, hate-bating, and even violence, are all part of the plan we see playing out every day in the media. As Ephesians 5:11-says, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Every action and intention of these evil-doers needs to be reproved, not giving them any benefit of the doubt.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Classic Hymns

THERE IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOOD

"A fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity." (Zechariah 13:1)

Lyrics

There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Emmanuel's veins; And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty stains, Lose all their guilty stains; And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see That fountain in his day; And there have I, though vile as he, Washed all my sins away. Washed all my sins away, Washed all my sins away; And there have I, though vile as he, Washed all my sins away.

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood Shall never lose its power Till all the ransomed church of God Be saved, to sin no more. Be saved, to sin no more, Be saved, to sin no more; Till all the ransomed church of God Be saved, to sin no more.

E'er since, by faith, I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die. And shall be till I die, And shall be till I die; Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die.

Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I'll sing Thy power to save, When this poor lisping, stammering tongue Lies silent in the grave. Lies silent in the grave, Lies silent in the grave; When this poor lisping, stammering tongue Lies silent in the grave.
Lord, I believe Thou hast prepared, Unworthy though I be, For me a blood bought free reward, A golden harp for me! A golden harp for me, A golden harp for me; For me a blood bought free reward, A golden harp for me!

'Tis strung and tuned for endless years, And formed by power divine, To sound in God the Father's ears No other name but Thine; No other name but Thine, No other name but Thine; To sound in God the Father's ears No other name but Thine.

Words: William Cowper, 1772

Melody: Lowell Mason, 1830

About the Hymn:

This is one of the first hymns Cowper wrote after his first attack of temporary madness. Cowper had been promised a post as Clerk of the Journal to the House of Lords, but was dismayed upon learning he would have to undergo a public examination in the House before beginning his duties. This article from the North American Review, January, 1834, describes his dilemma, and how God prevented him from destroying himself. (Go here)

Massive Alligator Takes the Internet by Storm,
Biologist Promises This Is Not a Hoax

In a world where photo manipulation is a fine art shared by thousands, Georgia officials heard time and time again that an image circulating on social media of a massive alligator was just another internet hoax.

The massive creature was very real, according to people on the scene.

"Apparently a lot of people think it's fake, but I can assure you that it is not," said Brent Howze, a biologist with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, according to the Cordele Dispatch. "I'm the one in the picture, and you can probably tell that I didn't get too close to it."

The biologist said massive defines the animal, which was discovered Monday in an irrigation ditch near Lake Blackshea

"He was 13 feet, four inches long, 57 inches in circumference to the chest and we estimate his weight between 700 and 750 pounds," Howze said, WMBF reported. He estimated the creature was about 50 years old.

"It's a testament to Georgia's alligator management program that alligators can grow to this size," said Melissa Cummings with the DNR, according to First Coast News. "The only way these animals get this large is by avoiding humans." (Conservative Tribune) Read more.

The Good News Corner

Wilderness training may have helped sisters, 5 and 8, survive 44 hours lost in California woods

Wilderness training may have played a role in the survival of two sisters, ages 5 and 8, who were found safe Sunday after spending 44 hours in California woods, police say.

Caroline Carrico, 5 and Leia Carrico, 8 were found Sunday less than two miles from their home in Humboldt County, according to County Sheriff William Honsal.

The girls had last been seen at their home Friday afternoon and Honsal described their discovery close to Richardson Grove State Park about 10:30 a.m. local time Sunday as "a miracle."

"This was rugged territory, this is an extreme environment and how they were out there for 44 hours is pretty amazing but it shows a resilience of people that actually grew up in this community. These girls definitely have a survival story to tell," he said during a news conference Sunday.

"The information we gathered is that they were trained, through 4-H, for outdoor survival and we believe that that did play a part, but we're only speculating right now."

4-H is the largest youth development organization in the US. It offers programs such as camping and hands-on projects in areas like science, health and agriculture.

The Carrico sisters told first responders they had gotten lost following a deer trail and survived by drinking water from huckleberry leaves, CNN affiliate KRCR-TV reported.

Found 'safe and sound'

Honsal said Piercy Fire Chief Delbert Crumley and firefighter Abram Hill located the pair after following tracks in the search area about 1.4 miles south of the girls' home.

The girls were found "in good spirits, not injured," he said. "The initial assessment was that they were dehydrated, they were cold -- but they were well."

Honsal said first responders provided them with fresh warm clothes and water.

Kate Larsen . . . posted a photo to Twitter of the two girls eating pizza in a hospital Sunday night.

"Their Mom told me they hid in a Huckleberry bush and lost their voices yelling for help until rescuers found them this AM," Larsen wrote. (CNN) Read more.
