Both current U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and his predecessor Daniel Shapiro expressed condolences over the murder of Ari Fuld, a dual American and Israeli citizen, Sunday.

America grieves as one of its citizens was brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist," said U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman in a tweet shortly after Fuld's death was announced. "Ari Fuld was a passionate defender of Israel and an American patriot. He represented the best of both countries and will be deeply missed. May his family be comforted & his memory be blessed."

Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro also expressed his sympathies and condemned the terror attack, stating, "Deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Ari Fuld, murdered in Gush Etzion today. The attack was an outrageous act of terrorism, which should be loudly condemned by all. May Ari's memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to his family and community."

3. Report: Saudi Arabia acquires Iron Dome system from Israel - World Israel News

Saudi Arabia has acquired its first Iron Dome anti-rocket system from Israel as part of a recent rapprochement between the two countries, the Saudi newspaper Al-Khaleej Online reported Thursday.

According to the report, the deal was carried out with American mediation.

Diplomatic sources cited in the report claimed that the deal between Jerusalem and Riyadh included "expert exchanges" and the acquisition of advanced and sophisticated weapons systems similar to those carried out by the United Arab Emirates.

The report said that the first Iron Dome batteries will be deployed in December on the border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, from where the Houthi rebels have launched missiles into the kingdom.

4. Abbas, Jordan, to sue Israel for Jewish prayer on Temple Mount? - Israel National News

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas announced that he will present the United Nations General Assembly with a list of issues which disturb the "Palestinian nation."

At a Ramallah meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee, Abbas said that the Central Committee will meet to discuss the next steps after his return from the US.

He also noted that the PA filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding Israel's intention to demolish the illegal Bedouin settlement of Khan al-Ahmar. This plan, he said, is "dangerous" and aims to dissect Judea and Samaria.

5. Abbas says he will go to International Court of Justice over Khan al-Ahmar - Times of Israel

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday he will go to the International Court of Justice over the planned razing of Bedouin village Khan al-Ahmar in the West Bank.

Abbas said he would also appeal to the UN's international court regarding Washington's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, US funding cuts to the UN refugee agency and what he claimed were Israeli plans to allow Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount, where it is prohibited as part of a status quo aimed at lowering tensions at the flashpoint site.

"There are two important issues: the issue of Khan Al-Ahmar, whose population are at risk of displacement. This issue, besides the increase in Israeli settlement construction, is of utmost importance and danger," Abbas told a meeting of the PLO Executive Committee on Saturday evening, according to official Palestinian news agency Wafa.

6. IDF Attacks Damascus Airport - Jerusalem Online

The Syrian state news agency SANA announced Saturday night that Israel had attacked Damascus airport with missiles, activating its air defenses, which intercepted a number of shells.

Syrian media reports further indicate that their Russian-made S-200 air defense systems were destroyed in the missile attack.

According to a Hadashot Channel report, an Iranian Boeing aircraft converted into a cargo plane was loaded with weapons in Tehran and landed at Damascus international airport.

The alleged Israeli attack also reportedly targeted several weapons depots at the airport. According to the report, efforts have been made to conceal the true purpose of the warehouses with roof-painted legends such as "UN" or "DHL," the international mail company, in an apparent attempt to elude Israeli intelligence.

1. Tropical Depression Florence outages: More than 632,000 remain without power - ABC Eyewitness News, Raleigh, NC

As Tropical Storm Florence brings heavy, life-threatening floods, more than 632,000 are without power. As of 4:15 p.m., Saturday, the statewide power outage total was 632,566. (Read more)

- Lord God Almighty, as we continue to track the movement of this huge storm over the land, we continue to ask that Your Hand of protection and provision would rest upon these who have lost power. Lord God, some have needs for power due to life-threatening situations, so we lift them up to You, in particular, to meet their needs. In Your name, amen.

- "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

2. 'They Are Taking Over': How Satanists Are Working to Stop Trump and His Evangelical Supporters - CBN News

President Donald Trump is only a year and a half into his presidency and he remains one of the most controversial political figures of the day. Despite this, evangelical Christians have expressed their faithful support for him and his conservative policies. But on the other side, The Satanic Temple (TST) has been very public about its efforts to challenge evangelicals and their positive relationship with the administration.

Ultimately, the group is about glorifying rebellion. They claim they don't even worship Satan or believe he is a personal being. Instead, they focus on rebelling against "tyrannical" authority, secularism, and theism. However, many Satanist groups do worship Satan as their lord. Some of them are sitting in the pews of American churches, according to former Satanist Bill Schnoebelen. He says that some hardcore Satanists try to infiltrate churches and other Christian organizations to sabotage them.

Whether they are a political group or not, former Satanist John Ramirez told CBN News that Satanic power is very real, and Christians should not underestimate the power of prayer to fight against dark spiritual forces. "It is those believers, it's that group of people, those intercessors that gave me such a beatdown in the spiritual," he said. In his book, Armed and Dangerous: The Ultimate Battle Plan for Targeting and Defeating the Enemy, Ramirez details why Christians need to pray more effectively. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that this former Satanist, John Ramirez, is now warning the church that Satan is real, and his tactics -- designed to bring each of us "down," -- are also very real. We praise You, Father God, because You defeated Satan at the Cross when Your Son was crucified. Thank You, Father, that our Lord now rules and reigns in heaven, and that it is written that, in Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:38) Thank You for Your overcoming grace in our lives, that enables us to discern and to defeat every trick of the evil one, in Your Name, amen.

- "He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God, Jesus Christ, was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (I John 3:8)

3. An Unnamed #MeToo Accuser Says Brett Kavanaugh Tried To Force Himself Onto Her - Daily Caller

An unnamed woman has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempting to force himself onto her during a non-consensual encounter at a party, one day after Democratic lawmakers released a cryptic statement referring to possible misconduct in the judge's past. The allegation, which appeared Friday morning in The New Yorker, relates an incident that occurred in the early 1980s when Kavanaugh was a high school student at Georgetown Preparatory School in Maryland. All involved in the alleged encounter were minors at the time.

"I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation," Kavanaugh told said in a statement released by the White House. "I did not do this back in high school or at any time." The other male involved in the alleged incident separately denied the charge. Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced Thursday that she had forwarded allegations concerning Kavanaugh to the FBI.

The Judiciary Committee spokesperson also said Friday afternoon that the panel still plans to forward Kavanaugh's nomination to the full Senate on Sept. 20. Moments after The New Yorker report was released, a spokesperson for Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley released a letter from 65 women attesting to his good character. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray You will stand against all lies that have been drummed up by insidious gossip anyone who knew Brett Kavanaugh in days past. Pull down and destroy all lies and render them powerless. We pray in Jesus' Name.

- "He that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes." (I John 2:11)

4. How To Stop The Administrative State - Free Beacon

One cannot help but read Judicial Fortitude as a creature of its moment. Released as it is in the midst of confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Peter Wallison's work is an unabashed call to arms for the new conservative judiciary.

The foe against which Wallison sets himself is the "administrative state," the modern managerial arrangement that now dominates American governance. These agencies collectively issue more than 3,000 regulations a year, a deluge of de facto legislation that dwarfs Congress's output. The effect of this disparity is that the people who actually rule, in the sense of exercising power on the population, are the unelected expertocrats in the administrative departments, not Congress.

Wallison shows how unchecked administrative power has produced perverse outcomes: for example, Operation Check Point, the Obama Department of Justice's attempts to unilaterally cut off bank access for a disfavored industry. Or consider the Department of Education's twisting of the Civil Rights Act's stipulations on sex discrimination to create a regime of anti-sexual harassment enforcement many consider draconian. Wallison's proposals are practical and, as mentioned, timely. Judicial Fortitude is practically a handbook for the new conservative courts looking to curb administrative overreach. In this capacity, it is a must-read for those who want a blueprint for the next 5 to 10 years of judicial maneuvering. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for this work, which brings light in a sea of darkness and confusion. We ask that this book will become a best-seller, in Jesus' name, amen.

- "To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." (Jude 15)

5. FBI's 'media leak strategy' against Trump needed a complicit media - Washington Times

The latest string of text messages between disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok and his in-house paramour Lisa Page appear to show a concerted strategy to leak secret information to The Washington Post and The New York Times. The text messages detailed in a letter from Rep. Mark Meadows, North Carolina Republican, to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein paint a damning picture of media manipulation in April 2017, just weeks before FBI Director James Comey was fired by President Trump.

This is a deceitful and sordid story with potential crimes of obstruction of justice, abuse of power and, at the very least, illegal release of state secrets related to national security. But Ms. Strzok and Mr. Page's media leak strategy was able to work only if they had partners at The Washington Post and The New York Times. The leaks fed a ravenous beast in those papers' newsrooms, which were hungry to damage the new president and vindicate their chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton.

As the whole "Russia probe" drama unfolds little by little, bear in mind that while much of the scandal envelops the FBI and DOJ over their misconduct during the 2016 election (in their mishandling of the Clinton email case as well as their surveillance of the Trump campaign), the mainstream media is very much a part of the scandal. You can't have a "media leak strategy" without plenty of willing accomplices in the media. (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray and intercede for President Trump that You, God, would surround him with holy angels all over the White House and him, personally, to protect him from the ungodly cesspool of media manipulation. May he stand unscathed by them and become stronger as he is empowered by the Lord. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

- "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 21)

6. Manafort indictment implicates Dem bigshots Tony Podesta and Greg Craig - American Thinker

Those of us following the prosecution of Paul Manafort have realized that in 2012 he worked in tandem with Tony Podesta, the former superlobbyist and brother of John Podesta, on behalf of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, a nonprofit apparently set up to provide a cover for lobbying.

The Robert Mueller team has been seeking any and every possible legal violation by people associated with the Trump campaign in order to squeeze them to "sing" - provide evidence of some legal violation by Donald Trump. Now that Mueller has turned over the Manafort rock, he can't ignore the roles of Tony Podesta and Greg Craig, two of the most-connected Democrats in the lobbying biz, who failed to make the same registration that Manafort did.

Two lobbying firms, including one owned by Democratic superlobbyist Tony Podesta, knowingly worked with Paul Manafort at the direction of the Ukrainian government, according to an indictment released Friday by the special counsel's office. The indictment, which was released ahead of an expected plea deal for Manafort, the former chairman of President Donald Trump's presidential campaign, says that as a part of his "lobbying scheme," Manafort solicited two lobbying firms in February 2012 to lobby on behalf of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. (Read more)

- Lord, as another door has now opened, offering an opportunity for those who tell lies and who cover up the truth to continue to "spin" the truth, we ask that Your holy angels will "go to work" to sort this out. " . . . let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, 'That You may be justified in Your words, and prevail when You are judged.'" (Romans 3:4)

- "Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed." (John 3:20)

7. Intel Chair: FBI, Justice Corrupted for Political Spying - Free Beacon

Democrats and their media allies seeking to advance a liberal political agenda corrupted the FBI and Justice Department in improperly spying on Donald Trump's presidential campaign, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence said this week. David Nunes said President Trump is close to declassifying new information he believes will show the FBI and Justice Department misused their counterintelligence power to spy on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. How the committee investigation will end is not known, Nunes said. "But I can promise you this: We're on the verge, I believe, of having full transparency in this process," he said.

Nunes said Trump, as a moderate Republican, is governing as one of the most conservative U.S. presidents. That has prompted Democrats and their liberal allies to attack Nunes and Trump on a regular basis, he said. "The reason that they have this fight, the reason that they have Antifa, the reason that they're protesting, the reason that they're causing all of these riots, the reason that they're doing things that you normally wouldn't see in this country, the reason that they're actually willing to corrupt the FBI and the DOJ-they're doing it because we're winning folks," he said. "We're winning and I think we have a good chance to win this fall if we keep the faith, stay on message, and help out our colleagues."(Read more)

- Father in heaven, we pray that the Democrats and their media allies who corrupted the FBI and Justice Department by unlawfully spying on President Trump will be exposed to all the world of all their conspiracies and evil manipulations. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

-"The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net." (Micah 7:2)

8. Nunes Describes China Threat in Congressional Hearing - Free Beacon (Excerpt)

At the same recent hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (above), Committee Chairman David Nunes said the committee has been investigating the threat from China. "China is the real threat today," he said. "I'm not discounting Russia. Russia's a threat, but China is the real threat." As the United States was "sleeping," Nunes said, China managed to build up one of the world's largest militaries and is dominating the Asia-Pacific region. "They're a real force, they're a challenge directly to the United States military," he said. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that China will be held back from causing worldwide destruction and loss of lives.

- "The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous." (Proverbs 15:29)

9. Trump's New Executive Order Is a Positive Step for Securing Elections - Daily Signal

President Donald Trump's new executive order allowing the sanctioning of foreign individuals attempting to influence American elections is a necessary step in the right direction. The executive order-which establishes an interagency process for determining if foreign influence has occurred and for sanctioning those responsible-is inherently reactionary. But it does attempt to change the calculus of hostile foreign heads of state by incrementally constraining those "foreign persons" that other governments and entities use to conduct these cyber-attacks and illicit influence operations.

The U.S. is waking up to the threat posed to our country from foreign influence, and Congress also will need to grapple with the best way to counter this threat and ensure the First Amendment rights of American citizens to participate in the election and political process are not infringed. More must be done to deter and punish bad actors as well as better defend the U.S. election system.

A crucial factor that agencies within the federal government must keep in mind is that under the Constitution, our election systems are the responsibility of the states. Thus, it is essential the federal government work closely with state governments as equal partners to evaluate threats to our election system and prepare and implement responses. To the extent there are systems and protocols that cybersecurity experts and federal agencies can provide to state governments, such support and expertise should be provided-without imposing unfunded mandates on state and local officials or discounting their concerns, expertise, and authority. (Read more)

- Lord God, we lean upon your holiness to always give President Trump godly intelligence and straightforward actions to counteract the deceptive forces attacking our elections. We pray the umbrella of righteousness from the Lord be upon every legal vote and there be compelling honesty in our elections. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

- "Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."
(Proverbs 14:34)

10. Kevin McCarthy: Breitbart's Exposure of Leaked Google Video Calls for Hearing - Breitbart

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said on Thursday that the video obtained by Breitbart News of a Google all-hands meeting following the election of Donald Trump obtained calls for a congressional hearing.

"It's time for [Google] to come into a hearing," McCarthy told Family Research Center's Tony Perkins on his Washington Watch radio show. "Google controls 90 percent of all Internet searches. They control what we're seeing."

The video shows Google executives and staff bemoaning Trump's election and making plans to thwart the president's agenda using its massive online platform. "The American public has a right to know," McCarthy said. "We need transparency in this." "The whole [thing] sounded like a progressive therapy session," Perkins, president of FRC said. "It was an admission when [a Google executive] said even conservatives in the building were afraid to speak up in conversation. "That should tell you something about the orientation of Google," Perkins said. "They have a monopoly and just as other monopolies have to give an account, I think they should as well." (Read more)

- Father in heaven, cast away all fear from the hearts of those in authority so they will hold Google responsible for their ungodly actions and policies. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

- "Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished." (Proverbs 16:5)

11. Why Every Christian Should Be Very Worried About The Catholic Sex Scandal - The Federalist

The rapidly unfolding crisis in the Roman Catholic Church is not a matter of concern to Catholics alone. Its true dimensions have yet to be measured, but we think it will prove to be a crisis on the scale of the Protestant Reformation, which began just over 500 years ago - an earthquake of 9.5 on the Richter scale. With remarkable swiftness, Catholicism simply collapsed in what had been Catholic strongholds - most of Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Scotland, and very nearly France.

In fact, as the Catholic scholar Benjamin Wiker has argued, the current crisis is more threatening for the Catholic Church than the Protestant Reformation 500 years ago. For one thing, the Reformation began in a society that was still overwhelmingly Christian. Some historians of the pre-Reformation period even argue that Christian piety was deepening and broadening in the run-up to the Reformation, but the contemporary Western world seems rapidly to be losing whatever residual Christianity was left in it.

Non-Catholic Christians should take an active part in the conversation about the Catholic crisis. While they must be unfailingly tactful and sympathetic, they should also be as critical as is necessary given what is at stake. When a large corporate body proves unable to govern itself, the chances are high that the government will step in. The Catholic Church is heading towards the same predicament. Unless it can prove, very rapidly, that it is capable of managing its own affairs, it will come under increasing governmental scrutiny and control. Thereby it will pose a danger to the religious liberties of us all. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that the Protestant churches will stand firm on solid Bible teaching and not deviate from the Truth of the Word of God. We bind the demonic powers under the Blood of Jesus that would pull hearts away from true worship of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit in all churches. We pray in the Name of Jesus, amen.

- "A true witness delivers souls: but a deceitful witness speaks lies. In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge."
(Proverbs 14:25-26)

Setting the record straight on Benghazi

On Friday, September 7, the immediate past president gave a speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he used misrepresentations and propaganda to try to rewrite the history of his presidency. One of those misrepresentations was his remarks on his actions regarding Benghazi, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including US Ambassador Christopher Stevens. The ex-president ran down a list blaming Republicans and the Republican congress for the ills of the country, among them, he said Republicans, "Embraced wild conspiracy theories, like those surrounding Benghazi, or my birth certificate." While many believe his birth certificate is still unsettled, Benghazi is not.
Remember Benghazi? The Daily Jot covered Benghazi extensively. As a reminder for you to use in conversations about the incident, here are excerpts from October 11, 2012's Daily Jot: "The occupant of the Oval Office and all his minions have been caught in the Great Benghazi Lie. It started with a carefully woven story that protesters stormed our Embassy in Libya, killed our Ambassador and three other Americans because they were upset over a film questioning the character of the "Prophet Mohammed." As the truth now comes out, there was no protest, the area outside the embassy was calm until it was attacked by terrorists. The Administration, including the president, the Secretary of State, the UN Ambassador and others have been lying to us.
"The New York Times has been documenting the statements made by Administration officials since the initial attack. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the day after the attack (9/12): "Some have thought to justify this vicious behavior along with the protests that took place at our embassy in Cairo yesterday as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet." White House Press Secretary Jay Carney eight days after the attack (9/19): "Based on the information that we had at the time and have to this day, we do not have evidence that it was premeditated." That very day the director of the National Counterterrorism Center said, "Yes, they were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy." He suspected al Qaeda.
"14 days after the attack, the president still blamed the embassy killings on the anti-Mohammed video. He told the United Nations: "In every country, there are those who find different religious beliefs threatening; in every culture, those who love freedom for themselves must ask themselves how much they're willing to tolerate freedom for others. That is what we saw play out in the last two weeks, as a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world. Now, I have made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity." He was speaking specifically about the killings in Libya.
"While the president says that the US had nothing to do with the video, he and his administration is complicit in lying to the American public about not only how our Ambassador was killed, but why and by whom--even to the fabrication of minute details of protests getting out of hand. The entire news media wrote what this administration said as fact. Now all Americans are finding out the president's story was not remotely true. How much more is a lie? When will people be outraged by these dealings? 2 Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Even so, the news media is barely holding anyone accountable. Deception is widespread. Discernment is needed."

How soon the truth of events reported in the past is forgotten when the media refuses to correct the lies of the present.

Words: Annie Hawks, 1872

Melody: Dr. Robert Lowry

About the Hymn:

"One day as a young wife and mother of 37 years of age, I was busy with my regular household tasks during a bright June morning [in 1872]. Suddenly, I became so filled with the sense of nearness to the Master that, wondering how one could live without Him, either in joy or pain, these words were ushered into my mind, the thought at once taking full possession of me -- 'I Need Thee Every Hour. . . .'" - Annie Hawks

Ira Sankey, the great revival musician for Dwight Moody, used this hymn at the National Baptist Sunday School Association Convention the same year, 1872. It then appeared in Royal Diadem for the Sunday School, an 1873 collection compiled by Lowry and William Doane.

At least three dead in Philippines as typhoon heads toward Hong Kong

A strong typhoon tore across the northern tip of the Philippines on Saturday, killing at least three people, wrecking homes and triggering landslides before heading toward Hong Kong and southern China by evening.

Mangkhut entered the Philippines as a super typhoon in the early hours and ripped over the main island of Luzon with winds of more than 200 kph (125 mph) and torrential rains.

Known locally as Ompong, Typhoon Mangkhut at one point hit gusts of 305 kph before it left the Philippines and moved across the South China Sea with reduced wind speeds.

Hong Kong was braced for Mangkhut, with authorities expected to raise the second strongest typhoon signal between 11 pm and 2 am (1500 and 1800 GMT).

The Philippine disaster agency said two rescue workers died while trying to free people trapped in a landslide in the mountainous Cordillera region, while police said a body had been found in a river in Manila.

Mauricio Domogan, mayor of the city of Baguio, said three people were killed in landslides and six were missing. It was not clear if the three dead included the rescue workers.

"They didn't expect it would happen, that's why they didn't evacuate. Unfortunately it happened," he told DZMM radio. (Reuters) Read more.

- Father God, even as we pray for those who are in the path of Florence, as she continues to march across several states in the mid-Atlantic region, we also lift up a prayer for those in the Philippines who are also in the path of another monster storm. May all be kept safe, under the shelter of Your wings. Amen.

- "Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you."
(Isaiah 43:1,2)

"I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke." (Acts 2:19)

The Good News Corner

New "In God We Trust" Law Goes into Effect in Florida:
Some Teachers are Fighting It, Of Course, So . . .

(Tallahassee, FL) Teachers in Florida are complaining after schools put up signs displaying the state motto, "In God We Trust," and they're forcing some administrators to get creative to stay within the law. Schools across the state are complying with a new state law that requires schools to post the motto in a "conspicuous place," an initiative sponsored by Democrat state Rep. Kimberly Daniels and approved by the Republican controlled legislature.

Schools in Palm Beach County initially posted district-produced signs with "In God We Trust" in bold capital letters, but school board member Karen Brill told the Florida Sun-Sentinel several teachers complained the signs were "offensive." "A few of them were very offended," Brill said.

Daniels, who runs a Christian ministry, urged lawmakers to require "In God We Trust" in schools in response to the deadly February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. The motto, which is also the U.S. motto and printed on U.S. currency, should be a source of inspiration and hope students can look to during turbulent times, she said.

"God is positive. Our children need all that they can get to escape what's going on in this generation, and in the world, and in our schools today," Daniels told WKMG. "To see something that is motivating, and something that is encouraging and positive." (Breaking Christian News) Read more.

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
