1. 'Historic' plan unveiled to link Arab states to Israeli ports - Jerusalem Post

Transportation and Intelligence Minister Israel Katz unveiled an ambitious plan on Wednesday to give Jordan, Saudi Arabia and even Iraq access to the Mediterranean through Israel's ports in Haifa and Ashdod, in a plan called "Tracks for Peace."

Under the plan, the Haifa to Beit She'an train link would be extended eastward to the border crossing with Jordan and southward to the Jenin area where the Palestinians could connect to it. Rail lines would be laid in Jordan to Irbid, and from there it would link with existing and planned lines extending north-south through Jordan, into Saudi Arabia and further east to the Persian Gulf.

Katz, at a press conference in Jerusalem to unveil the plan, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked him to present this plan to US envoy Jason Greenblatt when he was in the region last month. Greenblatt received the plan "enthusiastically," Katz, who will be speaking at The Jerusalem Post Conference in New York on May 7, said.

2. 'One state, one law, one enforcement' - Israel National News

This afternoon, the Knesset approved Amendment 109 of the Planning and Building Law by a margin of 44 to 33.

The Law is expected to bring reforms in enforcement against the widespread phenomenon of illegal building.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the Law will lead to a historic level of equality. "The government which I head has invested, and continues to invest more than any other [previous] government in the Arab sector in order to close the existing gaps - in education, wages, culture, as well as health."

4. Temple Mount earth-sifting project will continue - Israel National News

The work of sifting through dirt for archaeological findings on the Temple Mount will continue, after the Prime Minister has intervened in the matter.

According to an announcement from the Prime Minister's Office, "The Ir David Foundation headed by David'le Be'eri will continue to fund the important project. Chairman of the Antiquities Authority Yisrael Hasson and Be'eri will meet soon with officials dealing with the sifting."

The project, which began around 12 years ago with the goal of exposing the destruction of ancient artifacts on the Temple Mount by the Waqf, was in danger of being closed due to a lack of funds.

5. Israeli minister argues against military intervention in Syria - World Israel News

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotevely argued against military intervention in Syria on Wednesday, a day after a chemical weapons attack in Syria's Idlib province killed scores of people.

"Israel was right these past six years in not getting militarily involved in the Syrian conflict," Hotovely said, suggesting that any role assumed by Israel in order to help solve the internal conflict in Syria must be a diplomatic one.

6. UNESCO head reaffirms Jewish connection to Jerusalem - World Israel News

"In the Torah, Jerusalem is the capital of King David, where Solomon built the Temple and placed the Ark of the Covenant," stated Irina Bokova, director-general of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), firmly rebuffing any attempts to deny the historical Jewish ties to the Israeli capital.

In a unique statement at the European Coalition for Israel (ECI) policy conference in the European Parliament on Thursday, she clearly distinguished between her role as the highest official of UNESCO and several resolutions recently passed by member states of the same organization that denied the Jewish ties to Jerusalem.

Please note:
Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. Down to the Wire: Inside the Stand-Off over Neil Gorsuch - CBN News

It's down to the wire on the confirmation hearings for Judge Neil Gorsuch. On Friday, the Senate will decide whether or not to advance the president's nominee to the Supreme Court.

It appears Republicans will have to go "nuclear," or at the very least get creative, if they want to fulfill their promise to put Gorsuch on the high court.

So far, Democrats are unwavering in their resistance, employing tactics like long, dramatic speeches on the Senate floor.

- Father, we pray the Senate would approve the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. We also pray for future nominations to proceed without delay.

- "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act." (Proverbs 3:27)

2. Nunes steps aside from Russia investigation - The Hill

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) on Thursday said he will temporarily step aside in his committee's investigation into the Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Nunes said in a statement he thinks it is in the "best interests" of the committee and the Congress for Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas) to temporarily take over the committee's investigation into the Russian meddling, with assistance from Reps. Trey Gowdy.

"Several leftwing activist groups have filed accusations against me with the Office of Congressional Ethics," Nunes said in the statement. "The charges are entirely false and politically motivated, and are being leveled just as the American people are beginning to learn the truth about the improper unmaking of the identities of U.S. citizens and other abuses of power."

Nunez said he will continue to fulfill his other duties as chairman.

"I am requesting to speak to the Ethics Committee at the earliest possible opportunity in order to expedite the dismissal of these false claims."

- Father, we pray for the work of the House Intelligence Committee to continue unhindered. Give them wisdom and insight as they investigate, subpoena and ask questions of witnesses.

- "So I turned my mind to understand, to investigate and to search out wisdom and the scheme of things and to understand the stupidity of wickedness and the madness of folly." (Ecclesiastes 7:25)

3. Bannon's departure solidifies McMaster's control over the NSC - Politico

National security adviser H.R. McMaster quietly slipped out of the White House grounds last week to seek the counsel of one of his aging predecessors, another three-star general who ran the National Security Council in a time of political turmoil and congressional probes.

McMaster's session with 92-year-old Brent Scowcroft, who served as national security adviser for Presidents Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush, was the clearest indication yet that McMaster, who took the reins of the NSC in February after his predecessor Mike Flynn was ousted, intends to radically depart from the approach taken by Flynn and President Donald Trump's chief strategist, Steve Bannon, who was removed from his seat on Wednesday.

An administration official with direct knowledge of the deliberations said the changes are part of broader reforms McMaster is implementing, including reducing the size of the NSC's professional staff, which ballooned to about 450 under President Barack Obama.

It's also seen as a major victory in reviving the so-called "Scowcroft model," in which the national security adviser avoids pushing his own policy agenda in favor of serving as a referee for proposals put forth by NSC staff and the career professionals from national security and foreign policy agencies that also participate in high-level meetings.

- Father, we are grateful for leadership that puts our national interest before self-interest. Bless President Trump with wisdom as he appoints leaders and realigns each department to their core mission.

- "Choose some well-respected men from each tribe who are known for their wisdom and understanding, and I will appoint them as your leaders." (Deuteronomy 1:13)

4. IG: IRS Took $17.1M From Innocent People Over Banking Patterns - NewsMax

The Internal Revenue Service seized $17.1 million from innocent people and businesses over how they managed their banking account, according to a Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) report.

In a classic case of seize first, ask questions later, TIGTA found that the IRS from 2012 to 2015 targeted individuals and businesses that on the surface seemed to be violating anti-structuring provisions - making deposits under $10,000 to avoid scrutiny and proper reporting under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

- Father, we pray these people who were unjustly targeted would be fully restored. We also pray for small business owners to be treated fairly and respectfully by the Internal Revenue Service.

- "Don't rob the poor just because you can, or exploit the needy in court. For the Lord is their defender. He will ruin anyone who ruins them." (Proverbs 22:22-23)

5. U.S. Illegal Immigration Plunges on Trump Crackdown - Breitbart

Illegal immigration across the US-Mexico border has plunged in the past two months as President Donald Trump's crackdown takes hold, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said Wednesday.

Apprehensions of people trying to sneak into the United States, seen as an indicator of the total flow of undocumented immigrants, dropped to 16,600 in March, down 30 percent from February and 64 percent from a year ago.

Kelly told the Senate Committee on Homeland Security that there was even a sharper fall in the number of families and unaccompanied children crossing the border.

6. 1 in 10 Zika-infected US moms have babies with birth defects, CDC reports - CNN

One in 10 pregnant women with confirmed Zika infection had a fetus or baby with Zika-related complications in 2016, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

The findings are based on the US Zika Pregnancy Registry, which was established last year to track Zika among pregnant women in the United States and its territories (except Puerto Rico, which has a separate registry).

The report included all 972 completed pregnancies from January through December 2016. Birth defects were reported in 5% (or 51) of the pregnancies with laboratory evidence of possible Zika infection, including six pregnancy losses that may have been due to miscarriage, stillbirth or termination.

- Father, we pray this disease will not be used to encourage women to avoid pregnancy or have abortions, considering 90% of these children do not have birth defects. We pray You would stop the spread of Zika, and deliver us from this evil.

- "They are satisfied with children, and leave their abundance to their babes."
(Psalm 17:14b)

7. Why Xi Jinping Needs to Tread Carefully When He Meets Trump - Bloomberg

Nothing is supposed to go off script for President Xi Jinping in what is the equivalent of an election year in one-party China.

Enter Donald Trump, who rarely stays on message and regularly bashes China on Twitter. The U.S. president will host Xi on Thursday and Friday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for the first face-to-face meeting between the pair. On the agenda will be everything from trade to North Korea's nuclear threat.

For Xi, the meeting represents an opportunity to establish a personal rapport with Trump and potentially stave off a trade war that threatens to make China's economic slowdown much more painful. Yet it also carries risk: An errant Trump tweet or off-the-cuff remark seen as disrespectful could give ammunition to party members who want to thwart Xi's reform plans.

- Father, we pray for an agreement between President Trump and President Xi to diffuse the situation with North Korea. We also pray for a good working relationship between our two nations.

- "He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning." (Daniel 2:21)

8. Trump Says He's 'Flexible' on Syrian Response - CNS News

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he will be "flexible" in his response to the chemical attack in Syria, which he said made "a big impact" on him.

When asked how he would distinguish his actions on Syria from the inaction of the Obama administration, the president said, "I like to think of myself as a very flexible person. I don't have to have one specific way, and if the world changes, I go the same way, I don't change, well, I do change, and I am flexible, and I'm proud of that flexibility," Trump said during a joint press conference with Jordan's King Abdullah II in the White House Rose Garden.

- Father, we pray You would deliver the people of Syria from evil. We also pray for a measured response that will not draw our nation into war.

- "Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people."

9. Leaked Docs Show How Soros Spends Big To Keep Populists Out Of Power In Europe - Daily Caller

Leaked documents from George Soros' Open Society Foundations reveal how Soros works to defeat populist candidates and movements in Europe.

Soros, a U.S. citizen, uses a network of nonprofits and partner organizations across Europe to try and affect the outcomes of elections in foreign countries, the documents show. Through advocacy efforts, education campaigns and media influencing projects, Soros does his best to affect electoral outcomes around the globe in support of his open borders worldview.

Populist candidates opposed to mass immigration represent a direct threat to that worldview.

10. El-Sisi: Obama Left Vacuum For Russia, Middle East Now "Paying The Price" - Real Clear Politics

In an interview with FOX News Channel's Bret Baier Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi praised President Trump and talked about the ongoing crisis in Syria. The Egyptian leader said he fully trusts "the capability" of the U.S. president.

El-Sisi also addressed the "vacuum" left by the Obama administration that was filled by Russia in the Middle East. El-Sisi agreed that Obama enabled Russia to take a greater role in the Middle East and the region is now paying a price.

- Father, we thank You for these plain words of common sense from Egyptian President el-Sisi. We pray You would help President Trump and President El-Sisi work together to improve stability and economic development in the Middle East.

Why Rice is a Constitutional crisis

In response to a reporter's question about how President Donald Trump feels about the Rice spying scandal, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said, "I am somewhat surprised in terms of the level of interest that I've seen from the press corps at one set of developments versus another set of developments." He repeated after another question: "I'm -- somewhat more from a media standpoint -- somewhat intrigued by the lack of interest that we've seen in some of these public revelations..." In this briefing, the reporters went on to what they must have considered more important questions about Trump drawing money from his own blind trust. They are abrogating their duty as a free press.

In reality, it is very curious that the news media doesn't blow up on Susan Rice. In a day where every scandal becomes a throwback to Watergate, there appears to be very little written about the latest "Spygate." In fact, several news outlets such as CNN, refuse to cover it. CNN Tonight's Don Lemon announced he would ignore the Rice story at all costs. CNN's Chris Cuomo claimed the story was "demonstrably untrue" and called it a "fake scandal." New Day anchor Alisyn Camerota called on Senator John McCain (R-AZ) to write-off the scandal as "unimportant." CNN's chief national security correspondent Jim Sciutto, a former White House political appointee of the ex "president," said the story is "ginned up."
Charles Hurt, who covers politics for the Washington Times, Fox News and Breitbart, points out that "Most of the media, of course, is so desperate to destroy Mr. Trump and cover up anything that might reflect poorly on [sic] the ex "president" that they would rather talk about phantom "Russia" connections instead." He further wrote, "But an administration actively spying on political opponents during a presidential election, unmasking US citizens and then punishing them with selective leaks to the press? That is a real scandal. And a constitution crisis that raises dire questions about whether any American citizen is safe from the espionage thuggery of the politically powerful."
The right to privacy is guaranteed by the Constitution's 4th Amendment, stating: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." A president spying on citizens and an incoming president is unconstitutional. The free press ignoring it is a sign of a coup or shadow government. Ecclesiastes 8:11 says, "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." This is a Constitutional crisis and the evil is aimed at all American citizens. It's the seedling of dictatorship trying to choke out the tree of Liberty.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Rice "Confesses" And Denies

Rice "Confesses" And Denies

By Gary Bauer

Late yesterday afternoon Susan Rice, former President Obama's national security advisor, conceded that she had "unmasked" Trump associates. "Unmask" is the term used in the national security community to describe when a U.S. citizen's communication is captured incidental to the surveillance of someone else. Intelligence reports don't name U.S. citizens unless a decision is made to "unmask" the names for internal use only.

The "unmasking" is in itself not illegal but it does raise serious questions including why she needed to know the names.

A Wall Street Journal report this morning is raising concerns. Quoting an unnamed Republican official, it says that two U.S. citizens have been disclosed in intelligence reports. This official claims Rice did NOT unmask Mr. Flynn but unmasked a second Trump associate. This would suggest that a second Obama official unmasked Flynn. How widespread was this effort to destroy the incoming Trump Administration? Who is the second Obama official?

Now, remember "unmasking" is step one. Leaking the name/names to the media is step two and it is very likely a felony. Susan Rice categorically denies she was the leaker. But the Obama Administration circulated the name within the government far and wide, essentially "inviting" the leak.

Speaking of Obama, who has left the country to work on a book, what was his role? Susan Rice was one of his closest advisors. Certainly they would have talked regularly. It is plausible, perhaps even likely, that she informed Obama that she was collecting information on the Trump campaign. It's also legitimate to ask whether Obama was directing her in some way. With each passing day Donald Trump's widely mocked assertion that he was "wire tapped," by which he meant that his people were monitored, is looking more credible.

Praying to Repeal Obamacare

Praying to Repeal Obamacare

For the last few weeks the House of Representatives has tried to craft a repeal/replace bill to correct the deficiencies and premium increases associated with the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Republican Members have focused on replacing the mandates with patient centered care that would provide health insurance choices while reducing cost and protect the Medicaid program needed by disabled individuals and single parents.

Despite not yet finding the exact legislative language that will satisfy the concerns of the majority, Members of the House of Representatives continue to work on crafting the right solution.

Please pray . . .

1. Please pray that the House can find agreement on a repeal/replace plan that will pass the House and the Senate. Removing the cost of Obama Care now is necessary in planning for the future budget.

2. Pray that Congress will have wisdom as they decide how to fund the federal government through the end of the year. We need to increase defense spending while cutting entitlement spending.

3. Pray that funding for Planned Parenthood will be cut.

Also . . .

4. Pray for wisdom as Congress crafts a comprehensive tax reform bill that would reduce the tax burden on business and individuals.

And finally . . .

5. We ask that this country turn to God and repent of sin.

Prayers for America

Prayers for America

Submitted by: Dave Butts, Chairman

National Prayer Committee

1. Protection.

"Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance" (Ps. 32:6-7). Pray for the Lord's protection throughout the new administration's term of office. Physical and spiritual protection is needed for President Trump and Vice President Pence and their families as well as for all of the administration.

Lord, be our Defender!

2. Presence.

"I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people" (Lev. 26:11-12). Nothing is more important than the Presence of the Lord Himself in the halls of government. Far too many in our nation would isolate our faith to a private personal one or to a house of worship. The Presence of God changes lives and meets the deepest needs-not just those of individuals, but also the needs of our nation and its culture. Welcoming the Presence of the Lord into government can open the door for a longing for His Presence in all of society.

Make Your Presence known Lord!

3. Peace.

"I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and not one will make you afraid. I will remove savage beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country" (Lev. 26:6).

In the midst of a badly divided nation from top to bottom, we desperately need God's peace. Pray for the Lord's peace to come into the Congress of the United States and into the Supreme Court of the land. May this new administration, that during the campaign often stirred up controversies, become known as an administration that unites and brings peace. Pray also that God's peace would touch the church in this nation that found itself badly divided over this election.

We long for Your peace to come to our nation, Lord!

4. Provision.

"He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations" (Ps.111:5-6).

We need to humbly come before the Lord and confess our need for His great provision to be poured out upon our nation. We need wisdom from above. We need the provision that meets healthcare needs in just ways. We need the provision of a robust economy that allows us to provide good jobs to those who are able to work. We especially need to be a nation that realizes that what we have comes from the Lord's hand.

Thank You for being our Provider, O Lord!

5. Proficiency.

"Now obey my voice; I will give you advice, and God be with you! You shall represent the people before God and bring their cases to God, and you shall warn them about the statutes and the laws, and make them know the way in which they must walk and what they must do. Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. And let them judge the people at all times. Every great matter they shall bring to you, but any small matter they shall decide themselves. So it will be easier for you, and they will bear the burden with you. If you do this, God will direct you, you will be able to endure, and all this people also will go to their place in peace" (Ex. 18:19-23).

We need a government that is proficient in all its ways. The people of our nation too often look to government as an example of that which doesn't work well. Inept and inefficient is often our basic view of the government. We need the new administration to begin to function well. We need this administration regularly to ask for the Lord's help to make it proficient in government. That includes understanding what is and what is not the proper role of government.

Lord God, would You empower our government to properly use its power for efficient and just government!

"The Un-Passover"

Anti-Israel NGO Publishes Passover Guide Praising Allah as the 'Universal God'

An Israeli NGO published a guidebook for Passover, changing the ancient text into a Palestinian manifesto. Coming in the guise of piety, the book is a travesty that twists the Bible for one purpose: to remove the Jews from the land God gave them, precisely negating the holiday itself.

The Haggadah is the guidebook for the Passover Seder, when families gather to retell the Biblical story of the Exodus from Egypt. But in the hands of a left-wing NGO called 'Save Israel; Stop the Occupation' (SISO), the story of the Israelites gaining freedom has been transformed into a tale of Palestinian woe and Jewish oppression.

Though the Haggadah has taken many forms and shapes over the years - this Passover, a Harry Potter-themed Haggadah has gained massive popularity - SISO's version is undoubtedly the first which twists the text to turn Jews into villains and push for an agenda of "assisting our Arab brothers and sisters in creating an economically and politically viable Palestinian state".

SISO was created to bring about a two-state solution in which the "Jewish Military Occupation" is removed from Judea and Samaria and a Palestinian state, modelled after Gaza, is established in the ancestral Jewish homeland. Their Haggadah, written to further this purpose, generally follows the classic template, but its alternative commentaries manage to put an anti-Israel spin on the very genesis of the Jewish people.

. . . While virulently anti-Israel organizations like SISO are in the habit of reframing historical narratives to feed their own agendas, the anti-Israel Haggadah represents a new level of self-hatred for leftist Israeli Jews. (Breaking Israel News) Read more.
- Father God, we come against this abomination in the Name of Yeshua, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Father, in this season when we will soon celebrate the death and the resurrection of our Savior, we join You at the Cross by stating, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Lord God Jehovah, we ask that this Passover be celebrated by Jews worldwide in only the teachings proscribed in Scripture. We ask this in Your Holy Name, amen.

Classic Hymns:
HOSANNA, LOUD HOSANNA

"They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, 'Hosanna! Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel.'" (John 12:12-13)

Lyrics
Hosanna, loud hosanna, the little children sang;
Through pillared court and temple the lovely anthem rang.
To Jesus, who had blessed them close folded to His breast,
The children sang their praises, the simplest and the best.

From Olivet they followed mid an exultant crowd,
The victor palm branch waving, and chanting clear and loud.
The Lord of men and angels rode on in lowly state,
Nor scorned that little children should on His bidding wait.

"Hosanna in the highest!" that ancient song we sing,
For Christ is our Redeemer, the Lord of heaven our King.
O may we ever praise Him with heart and life and voice,
And in His blissful presence eternally rejoice!

US Defunds UN's Aid for Forced Abortions in China

It's no secret that China's strict two-child policy has ended countless unborn babies' lives through forced abortions.

Now, President Donald Trump is taking a stand against China's forced abortions by cutting funds to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

"This determination was made based on the fact that China's family planning policies still involve the use of coercive abortion and involuntary sterilization, and UNFPA partners on family planning activities with the Chinese government agency responsible for these coercive policies," the State Department said.
