8. Trump Pulls Bannon From National Security Council - Newsmax

President Donald Trump reorganized his National Security Council on Wednesday, removing his chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, and downgrading the role of his Homeland Security Adviser, Tom Bossert, according to a person familiar with the decision and a regulatory filing.

The Washington Post reported that an unnamed senior White House official said the change is not a demotion, and that Bannon had accomplished what he'd set out to do.

Trump's move reverses a controversial early decision to give Bannon access to the high-level meetings. (Read more)

9. Steve Bannon Leaves National Security Council After Susan Rice Takedown - Breitbart

President Donald Trump's Senior adviser Stephen K. Bannon has exited his role on President Donald Trump's National Security Council, claiming that his mission is complete.

"Susan Rice operationalized the NSC during the last administration. I was put on to ensure that it was de-operationalized," Bannon said in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.

A White House source confirmed to Breitbart News that Bannon will retain his security clearance in the West Wing. Other reporters noted that Bannon could still attend NSC meetings even though he was removed from the National Security council principles committee.

Trump's Secretary of Energy Rick Perry was added to the council. Nikki Haley, the Representative of the United States to the United Nations was also included as well as Director of National intelligence Dan Coats, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford, and CIA director Mike Pompeo. 1. Hamas gives 'collaborators' one last chance - Israel National News

Hamas is giving "collaborators" with Israel one final chance to turn themselves in, a senior official with the terrorist group said on Tuesday.

The official, who was quoted by the Al-Majd website which is affiliated with Hamas security forces, said that the "repentance gate" has been opened to "collaborators with the occupation," stressing that the opportunity to "rid themselves of the defilement of treachery" will not be repeated.

2. Netanyahu rival Gideon Saar returns to politics - World Israel News

Addressing a Likud pre-Passover toast in Akko, north of Haifa, on Monday evening, Gideon Sa'ar, former education and interior minister, stressed that Israel must resist international and domestic pressure to return to the pre-1967 borders.

"We stand at the eve of Passover. This holiday is called Zman Heruteinu (Time of our Liberation). What is true freedom? For us to be ourselves. We became an independent nation when we left Egypt, and on the eve of Passover we must ask ourselves who are we as a state, as a people and as a Likud movement," he said.

3. Ben Gurion Airport prepares for haredi demonstrations - Israel National News

After disrupting movement on the country's roads, especially but not only in the Jerusalem area, haredi protesters against recruitment and cooperation with military authorities are moving up a level ahead of Passover and mobilizing to demonstrate at Ben Gurion airport.

The "Committee for the Torah World" has decided to disrupt movement of Israelis leaving and entering the country during the days before Passover and even during the holiday.

The organization committee makes it clear that the aim of the demonstration is to expose the entire world to the ongoing ruination inflicted by the State of Israel on haredi human and religious rights.

4. Israeli leaders urge action, condemn Syria gas 'massacre' - Times of Israel

Israeli leaders called for the international community to take action Tuesday after a gas attack in Syria killed at least 58 people and injured over 200, many of them children.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "sharply condemned" the attack and called on the international community to complete the process of removing all of Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles.

"When I saw pictures of babies suffocating from a chemical attack in Syria, I was shocked and outraged. There's no, none, no excuse whatsoever for the deliberate attacks on civilians and on children, especially with cruel and outlawed chemical weapons," he said in English at a memorial service for president Chaim Herzog.

1. Susan Rice claimed ignorance on Trump team surveillance, before role in unmasking revealed - FoxNews

Less than two weeks before sources said it was Susan Rice who requested to unmask the names of Trump associates caught up in sensitive intelligence reports, former President Barack Obama's national security adviser said she knew "nothing about" surveillance allegations.

Rice told PBS on March 22 that she "was not aware of any orders given to disseminate that information." She did skirt the issues of whether she herself unmasked or disseminated information outright. Rice also limited her remarks to Trump's debunked early March tweet claiming a wiretap of Trump Tower and vague remarks made by House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes.

2. Trump Defunds UN Population Fund Tied to Forced Abortions; Pro-Lifers Elated - Christian Post

The United States is ending its support for a United Nations entity that promotes abortion overseas, the State Department has announced. Pro-life leaders are praising President Trump for the move.

In an official letter to Bob Corker of Tennessee, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the State Department said it would no longer fund the United Nations Population Fund (UNPFA) because the group "supports, or participates in the management of, a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization."

3. McConnell: We Have The Votes To Change Filibuster On SCOTUS Nominees - Daily Caller

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell confirmed with reporters Tuesday he is confident that he has the votes in his conference to change the precedent on the filibuster of Supreme Court nominees.

Trump Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch does not have 60 members in the upper chamber willing to vote to end debate of his nomination and give the judge a final up or down vote.

"It appears as if cloture will not be invoked but we will find out Thursday, but either way we will be moving towards confirming Judge Gorsuch Friday," McConnell said.

McConnell assured that legislative filibusters would remain intact and not a "single member" wants to see the legislative filibuster go away.

4. Appeals court: 1964 Civil Rights Act protects lesbian, gay employees from workplace bias - Washington Times

A federal appeals court ruled the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also protects gay, lesbian and bisexual employees from discrimination in the workplace, a decision that carries huge implications in the ongoing debate over gay rights.

The full 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted 8 to 3 in favor of plaintiff Kimberly Hively, an adjunct professor who claims she was denied full-time positions at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana for being a lesbian.

Writing for the majority, Chief Judge Diane Wood said the statute's prohibition on "sex" discrimination also applies to sexual orientation.

5. South Carolina parents in fight to keep adopted child take case to state Supreme Court - FoxNews

The adoptive parents of a 3-year-old South Carolina girl are taking their case to the state's Supreme Court, after a lower court vacated the adoption of the child they've cared for since she was weeks old.

Tammy and Edward Dalsing, of Rock Hill, S.C., filed papers with the South Carolina Supreme Court on Friday in their fight to retain custody of their adopted daughter, Braelynn Puckett.

The couple welcomed the girl into their home in 2013 when she was 3 weeks old, raising the bubbly, brown-eyed girl who loves ballet and swing sets as if she were their own.

6. Prison Fellowship, ACLU, NAACP Fight 'Immoral' Prison System, Launch 'Second Chance Month' for Prisoners - Christian Post

A diverse coalition of leaders are uniting to combat problems in the criminal justice system, designating April as "Second Chance Month" for the 1 in 4 Americans adults who have a criminal record. Gathered in the First Amendment Room at the National Press Club Thursday in front of about 20 people, Prison Fellowship announced its initiative "Second Chance Month," which aims to draw awareness and call for reform of the mountains of obstacles prisoners face trying to reenter society after serving their sentences.

Craig DeRoche, former Michigan House Speaker and Senior Vice President for Policy and Advocacy for Prison Fellowship hailed the meeting as important to who we are as Americans.

"Today, 65 million American adults have a criminal record, that is one in four adults," Deroche said.

After people have paid their debt to society, they should be restored to citizenship, he continued, "but in America today, we tolerate the polar opposite."

7. US, Britain, France hold Assad regime responsible for Syria gas attack - The Times of Israel

The White House on Tuesday confirmed a "reprehensible" and "intolerable" chemical attack had taken place in Syria and pinned the blame squarely on Bashar Assad's regime. White House spokesman Sean Spicer said US President Donald Trump had been briefed extensively on the attack, and suggested it was in the "best interest" of the Syrians for Assad not to lead the country.

"Today's chemical attack in Syria against innocent people, including women and children, is reprehensible," Spicer said, saying the administration was "confident" in its assessment that Assad was to blame.

8a. Tillerson After N. Korea Launches Another Missile: 'The United States Has Spoken Enough' - CNS News 2

In response to another ballistic missile firing by North Korea - the third since President Trump took office - Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Tuesday night gave what may be the bluntest U.S. response yet to the provocative action.

"North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile," he said. "The United States has spoken enough about North Korea. We have no further comment."

Tillerson's terse statement drew a lot of attention on social media, with reactions ranging from criticism for a perceived disinterested approach, to praise for denying Kim Jong-un the attention he craves, to speculation about what may be coming. (Read more)

8b. Trump raises pressure on North Korea - The Hill

Lawmakers and the Trump administration are upping the pressure on China as worries about North Korea's nuclear capabilities grow.

President Trump's summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping's at Mar-a-Lago later this week will present Trump with his first in-person opportunity to make progress on his stated goal of reining in North Korea. China is likely in the best position to accomplish that as it has long propped up the isolated nation.

The White House on Tuesday said Trump plans to press Xi on taking a tougher approach.

"I can tell you that it is now urgent," a senior White House official said of North Korea during a briefing in advance of Xi's visit. "The clock has now run out and all options are on the table for us." 9. 500 UK Churches Closed While 423 Mosques Were Built on 'Sad Ruins of English Christianity': Report - Christian Post

An international think tank warned in a report that multiculturalism is feeding radical Islam in the U.K., pointing out that in the past couple of decades close to 500 Christian churches have closed in London alone while 423 mosques were built. "British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism. Above all, Londonistan, with its new 423 mosques, is built on the sad ruins of English Christianity," the Gatestone Institute argued in a report released Sunday.

It pointed out that since 2001, as many as 500 churches in London of all denominations have been turned into private homes. At the same time, the number of Muslims has grown by almost a million.

10. Canada is Harvesting the Organs of Euthanasia Patients - Christian Headlines

A recent push in Canada to encourage euthanasia patients to donate their organs is working.

In Ontario, the first province to report data, 26 people who died by lethal injection decided to donate tissue or organs since the Medical Aid in Dying Act (MAID) came into effect last June, according to the National Post. A total of 388 people have chosen to die by lethal injection in Ontario, over half of the 744 total Canadians who have been euthanized.

Proponents of linking organ harvesting to euthanasia point to the shortage of organ transplants readily available and the lower cost associated with euthanasia than with end-of-life care.

Canadian ethicists Julie Allard and Marie-Chantal Fortin encouraged the joining of euthanasia with organ harvesting in an article in December's Journal of Medical Ethics.

But even supporters acknowledge the potential unintended consequences. Allard and Fortin warned in their article that encouraging organ harvesting could put pressure on those diagnosed with terminal illness to consider assisted suicide as an alternative sense of purpose.

- Father, we lift up Canada and all other governments where euthanasia is legal. We pray for the people to have the veil of deception removed from their eyes. Rend their hearts to repentance.

Deny, deny, deny, lie, lie, lie

National Security Advisor for the ex "president" Susan Rice denied seeking the names of, spying on and releasing the names of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team to various intelligence agencies. Rice told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell, "Let me be absolutely clear. Absolutely not for any political purposes, to spy, to expose, for anything." She also denied ordering intelligence officers to produce detailed spreadsheets involving Trump and his aides, saying, "Absolutely false. No spreadsheet, nothing of the sort." But then she said, "The notion that which some people are trying to suggest that by asking for identity of an American person is the same as leaking it is totally false." A little nuance goes a long way.

She also said, "I leaked nothing, to nobody, and never have and never would. The allegation is that somehow [sic] the ex "president's" Administration officials utilized intelligence for political purposes. Absolutely false." Rice denies spying on the Trump transition team, but seems to admit that she asked for an identity of an "American person," in this case, several members of the President-elect's team. She also said that the ex "president's" Administration officials would not have utilized such intelligence for political purposes. However, the information in question showed no relevance to any of the investigations being conducted by FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. Is Rice therefore saying that any American citizen can be spied on and then revealed to the public as if they did something wrong? Or was it just the Trump Team. Not political, right?

The Daily Caller, Fox News, and Bloomberg cited multiple intelligence sources that Rice had specifically ordered the intelligence on the Trump team and that the names of Trump aides were given to the ex "president's" officials at the NSA, Department of Defense, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and CIA Director John Brennan. Former Deputy Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas admitted March 2, "I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill - it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before [sic] the "president" leaves the administration." At the same time The Daily Caller, Fox News and Bloomberg are raising questions, MSNBC, CNN and the Washington Post are reporting Rice denials.

Rice's reputation precedes her. She was the one who said that climate change was responsible for the war in Syria; She said that Bowe Bergdahl, who was charged with treason after deserting his post in Afghanistan causing the deaths of six US soldiers, "served the United States with honor and distinction"; She also drove the false narrative that the deaths in Benghazi were caused by a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islamic movie. An inventory of facts at this point shows that the ex "president" and his people spied on Trump and his team as they transitioned into the presidency. So far there is no evidence of any wrong-doing on the part of Trump, leaving only that the ex "president" wanted to politically undermine the President-elect and his ability to govern.

On February 11, Paul Sperry wrote in the New York Post that the ex "president" was using his Organizing For Action group as an army of agitators 30,000 strong who will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency. A check of the OFA website and other nonprofits that are working with it backs up Sperry's position. We are also seeing how the media and spy agencies are being used to undermine our government. Speaking of the end times, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1-3, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be...without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good." Indeed, perilous times are upon us and our nation.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Urgent Call to Pray for Senate Confirmation of Gorsuch

Important Message from David Kubal

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. (Ps. 118: 8-9)

It appears the "nuclear option" will be invoked. The hearings of Judge Gorsuch became a non-event in the media. There seemed to be little opposition to him during his hearings. Now, as we approach Friday's vote, the political battle is as intense as it could be. The cloture option is called the "nuclear option" because it has fall out. This fall out could last for years to come.

However, as intercessors, we know that what we see and hear is not often the whole story. We seek God's perspective and His wisdom and look at events from a spiritual point of view.

There are territorial forces entrenched in our government that need to be replaced. President Trump understands and communicates the need to "drain the swamp," to establish a new kind of government. However, the old forces are resisting. A shadow government, or deep state, is actively working against any and all of the changes that President Trump is trying to make.
The resistance is not only against President Trump and his brand of governing, but also, and more importantly, is against kingdom values in our nation. Spiritual forces of evil are railing and the Enemy is using the tools of division and resistance to prevent godly changes from occurring. The transfer of power, both spiritually and naturally, occurred January 20 with the Inauguration of President Donald Trump, but it will take continued prayer for the divisive strongholds entrenched and embedded in our government to be dislodged and removed. Only prayer can defeat those strongholds and replace them with godly influences.
This week is critical! The opposition has gathered to disunify, distort, distract, and disrupt. The quiet of the hearings is giving way to a contentious debate. If the Senate Republicans are forced to choose the "nuclear" option to avoid filibuster of Judge Gorsuch's confirmation vote, it will fuel problems concerning future confirmations.

We need to pray for unity and godly wisdom in the Senate. We need to pray against division and worldly knowledge determining the outcome of this debate. We need to pray for God's will to be done concerning the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch as a United States Supreme Court justice.

We believe that the Lord is calling us to concerted prayer for wisdom and unity. Click here to send a prayer to your Senators, letting them know you are praying for them to have God's wisdom and for unity in the Senate.
Please join me this Friday to pray against the forces that are seeking to resist godly changes in our government.

Sincerely in Christ,

David Kubal, President/CEO

A Note About our Publishing Schedule

A Note About our Publishing Schedule

Dear Prayer Partners,

By now I am sure you have noticed that this Wednesday edition of the Daily Brief is coming to you late in the day. Hence, a short word of explanation:

First, please know that CHPP is an "all volunteer" ministry, and that each one of our amazing editors are working very hard to research each issue and to bring you news and targeted prayers, every day we publish. I am very proud of their work.
Second, as the "all volunteer" army that we are, most members of our team are also holding down other jobs outside of this one, and are having to adjust their own schedules in order to carry our ministry forward.
Third, we are all delighted, blessed, and rejoicing in the work our Lord has called us to do!
And finally, because of these challenges in getting the Brief published and out the door, it now seems that our regular weekly publishing schedule is as follows:
Monday and Tuesday: 5:00 a.m.

Wednesday and Thursday: as soon as we can, but later in the day!

Thank you again for the wonderful support you continue to bring to our ministry. Without you, we would not be here!

In His Amazing Grace,

Sara Ballenger, Founder
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Classic Hymns:

ALAS! AND DID MY SAVIOR BLEED?

AT THE CROSS

"There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men." (1 Timothy 2:5-6)

Lyrics

Alas! and did my Savior bleed And did my Sovereign die? Would He devote that sacred head For sinners such as I?

Refrain

At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

Thy body slain, sweet Jesus, Thine- And bathed in its own blood- While the firm mark of wrath divine, His Soul in anguish stood.

Was it for crimes that I had done He groaned upon the tree? Amazing pity! grace unknown! And love beyond degree!

Well might the sun in darkness hide And shut his glories in, When Christ, the mighty Maker died, For man the creature's sin.

Thus might I hide my blushing face While His dear cross appears, Dissolve my heart in thankfulness, And melt my eyes to tears.

But drops of grief can ne'er repay The debt of love I owe: Here, Lord, I give my self away 'Tis all that I can do.

About the hymn:

[In] the autumn of 1850, revival meetings were being held in the Thirtieth Street Methodist Church [, New York City]. Some of us went down every evening; and, on two occasions, I sought peace at the altar, but did not find the joy I craved, until one evening, November 20, 1850, it seemed to me that the light must indeed come then or never; and so I arose and went to the altar alone. After a prayer was offered, they began to sing the grand old consecration hymn, "Alas, and did my Saviour bleed, And did my Sovereign die?" And when they reached the third line of the fourth stanza, "Here Lord, I give myself away," my very soul was flooded with a celestial light. I sprang to my feet, shouting "hallelujah," and then for the first time I realized that I had been trying to hold the world in one hand and the Lord in the other.

Signs and Wonders

Red Ring of Light Appears Over Eastern Europe

On April 2nd, high above a thunderstorm in the Czech republic, an enormous ring of light appeared near the edge of space. Amateur astronomer Martin Popek photographed the donut-shaped apparition using a low-light video camera:

"It appeared for just a millisecond alongside the constellation Orion" says Popek.

This is an example of an ELVE (Emissions of Light and Very Low Frequency Perturbations due to Electromagnetic Pulse Sources). First seen by cameras on the space shuttle in 1990, ELVEs appear when a pulse of electromagnetic radiation from lightning propagates up toward space and hits the base of Earth's ionosphere. A faint ring of deep-red light marks the broad 'spot' where the EMP hits.

ELVES often appear alongside red sprites. Indeed, Popek's camera caught a cluster of sprites dancing nearby the ~300 km-wide ring. (Spaceweather.com) Read more.

But more than 850,000 people "liked" the raw emotion he shared in a 2014 Facebook post about racial strife in America. The NFL player's honest conversation about the division between races connected with people. They shared his post more than 460,000 times and tens of thousands of people left comments.
