1. Netanyahu accepts Paris invite to meet Abbas, if France drops conference - Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday accepted French President François Hollande's invitation to meet with him and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Paris later this month, as long as there is no international conference.

The French are planning a conference of foreign ministers in Paris on December 21 to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and invited Netanyahu and Abbas to come to the city the day after for a meeting of their own.

Israel has made clear that it sees the French-led conference, a follow-up to a meeting of foreign ministers in Paris over the summer, as an effort to impose a settlement on it, and that it will not take part.

2. Syria blames Israel for overnight attack on a military airbase - Times of Israel

The Israeli military fired missiles from within "occupied" territory at an important Syrian regime airbase outside Damascus overnight Tuesday, Syrian state media reported hours later.

"At 3:00 a.m., the Israeli enemy fired several surface-to-surface missiles from inside occupied territory," the state news agency SANA said, citing a military source. The report said the Israeli missiles caused a large fire but no injuries or deaths.

SANA said the missiles were fired from a position "west of Tal Abu Nada," a mountain in the Israeli Golan Heights known as Mount Avital in Israel.

3. Comptroller: Israel woefully unprepared for rocket onslaught - Times of Israel

Between a quarter and half of all Israelis may not have access to a proper bomb shelter in the case of an emergency, despite the understanding that thousands of rockets would strike Israel in a future war, according to a damning report released Tuesday by State Comptroller Yosef Shapira.

The document, a review of Israel's preparedness against rocket and missile attacks, found numerous gaps and failures in government and military plans to protect the civilian population, which could result in unnecessary risk to human lives and could hamper the army's ability to wage war as necessary, Shapira wrote.

4. Biblical sheep in Israel for first time in millennia - Times of Israel

The sheep have landed. After three years of high-level negotiations between the Israeli and Canadian governments, 119 heritage sheep, which trace their lineage back 5,000 years to the Middle East, began arriving in Israel on November 30. It is the first time that the breed, called Jacob's sheep, has been represented in Israel since biblical times.

Three of the 11 flights carrying the sheep have already arrived in Israel, according to Gil and Jenna Lewinsky, the shepherds who began raising these ovines on a whim in western Canada. "The first sheep arrived on the Jewish calendar the day that Noah came out of the ark, the 28th of Heshvan," said Jenna Lewinsky.

"It was beautiful to see them walk on the soil of Israel," she said. "As a Jewish person I am so connected to the land, but to see the whole project connecting - it's going to stay with me for the rest of my life." Jenna Lewinsky immigrated to Israel just three weeks before the first flight of sheep came on their own baa-liyah.

5. Regulation Law passes first reading in Knesset - Israel National News

The Knesset passed the Regulation Law Wednesday evening at its first reading by a majorty of 59 to 51.

MK Betzalel Smotrich (Jewish Home),one of the initiators of the new law said that "we have advanced a stage further in helping the Judean and Samarian communities, the State of Israel and the Jewish nation. This is an ethical law, a Jewish, Zionist law, a just law."

MK Yoav Kish(Likud) another of the law's formulators said that "the change of political strategy in Judea and Samaria has started with the Regulation Law. We were chosen to lead a nationalist government and strengthening the Judean and Samarian communities is an essential aspect of that".

6. Israeli map reveals thousands of Hezbollah positions along border - Time of Israel

The Israeli military on Tuesday posted a map of southern Lebanon to Twitter, on which it marked Hezbollah positions, infrastructure and armaments along a section of the Israeli border.

The map, according to Channel 2 News, features over 200 towns and villages which the organization has turned into its operations bases, and shows over 10,000 potential targets for Israeli strikes in the event of a new war with the terror group.

A caption on the photo noted that it had been declassified, in an apparent calculated move by Israel to build a case for any future military action. It could also serve as a warning to the terror group itself, demonstrating Israel's intelligence gathering capabilities as a deterrent.

7. Breaking: Israel Begins Openly Bombing Syria - the War Is on, Pray

This morning while we slept Israel began a bombing raid on Damascus, Syria.

Arab news outlets stated Wednesday the Israeli Jets stuck targets at the Damascus Airport.

According to Pan-Arab Al-Mayadeen TV channel the jets targeted the Mezzah Military Airport in Damascus. There have been no official statements by either the Israeli or Syrian Governments.

Last week the Israeli Air Force bombed Damascus itself stating it was targeting an "Arms Convoy" belonging to Hezbollah - an Armed and Heavily Funded by US Dollars political party in Lebanon.

The weapons used and the fuel used, by the Israeli Jets were openly supplied by the Obama Regime - as was hundreds of millions of dollars were also given to Russia to continue this war in Syria.

This can all be seen on the State Department Foreign Aid Budget - just triple every figure for a true value of YOUR money being given away to prosecute a war.

Sounds like Israel has started a war purposely and with intent.

1. Brown blocks Senate resolution for Pearl Harbor in effort to get better health deal for miners- Fox

It's not every Pearl Harbor Day when a U.S. senator objects to honoring Pearl Harbor Day. But that's exactly what unfolded on the Senate floor Wednesday as two Democrats went to the mat to force the Senate to cut a better health care deal for coal miners.

Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.,and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, both vulnerable senators facing re-election in 2018, took to the Senate floor to block a host of bills and resolutions that usually sail through unnoticed.

Manchin and Brown want a longer guarantee of health benefits for miners beyond April 28. The miners' health care issue has emerged as a flashpoint on a bill to fund the government through next spring. Funding for the government expires Friday night.

2. Senate joins House to pass sweeping new health bill- Reuters

The U.S. Senate voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to support sweeping legislation that will reshape the way the Food and Drug Administration approves new medicines.

It will also provide funding for cancer and Alzheimer's research, help fight the opioid epidemic, expand access to mental health treatment and advance research into precision medicine.

Two years in the making, the 21st Century Cures Act was passed last week by the House of Representatives and will now go to President Barack Obama to sign into law. Supporters say it will speed access to new drugs and devices, in part by allowing clinical trials to be designed with fewer patients and cheaper, easier-to-achieve goals.

"For the second consecutive year, the Senate is sending the President another Christmas miracle for his signature," Senator Lamar Alexander, a Republican from Tennessee said in a statement. "Last year, it was the Every Student Succeeds Act, and this time, it's the 21st Century Cures Act - a bill that will help virtually every American family."

Critics of the legislation say it gives massive handouts to the pharmaceutical industry and will lower standards for drug and medical device approvals.

"This gift - which 1,300 lobbyists, mostly from pharmaceutical companies, helped sell - comes at the expense of patient safety by undermining requirements for ensuring safe and effective medications and medical devices," consumer watchdog Public Citizen said in a statement.

3. Republicans Demand Transparency on Secret Negotiations to Bring 2,400 Refugees Rejected by Australia into U.S. - CNS news

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), who chair their respective Senate and House Judiciary Committees, sent a letter on Tuesday to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Secretary of State John Kerry asking them to declassify documents from their behind-closed-doors deal with Australia to admit 2,400 refugees into the United States that were rejected by that country.

4. Texas Restaurant Closes, and The Owner Is Blaming Obamacare- Daily Caller

A restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas is closing its doors after five years of business, and the owner says the Affordable Care Act is to blame.

Bill and Johnnie Katz, owners of Frankie's Sports Bar and Grill, took to the restaurant's Facebook on Monday to announce the closing of the restaurant in the heart of downtown Fort Worth.

"Several factors led to this decision, but the proverbial straw was brought on by the Affordable Care Act," the statement says. "If we were to stay in business, there was no way for us to have borne the weight of the oppressive penalties for failing to comply with the mandates of that legislature."

5. The Pentagon told the Navy to cut $17B from its budget; the Navy said no- Navy Times

The Navy is digging in its heels and rejecting billions in cuts from its 2018 budget as infighting has hit a boiling point at the Pentagon.

The Navy has refused to submit a budget that incorporates $17 billion in cuts over the next five years that Defense Secretary Ash Carter ordered. It's a standoff that has been brewing for months since Carter told the Navy to begin cutting major shipbuilding programs and invest in weapons systems and aircraft, according to half a dozen defense officials who spoke to Navy Times.

At issue is Navy Secretary Ray Mabus's insistence that budget cuts not be directed at the shipbuilding program, which he has long fought to shield from cuts as he attempts to rebuild the fleet to his goal of 308 ships.

_Father, the continual budget cutting in the military has dropped our troop strength, caused aircraft crashes for lack of training and parts, and has left ships that are either too new to function properly or too old to be repaired. We pray for wisdom and common sense to prevail over these issues.

6. Anti-Discrimination Laws Are Being 'Weaponized' Against Christians, UK Report Warns- Christian Post

A new report on the erosion of religious liberties, such as those seen in several high-profile court cases concerning Christians in the U.K., warns that anti-discrimination laws are being used as a "weapon," and could end up suppressing the freedoms of many people in society. . . . What is more, the report claims, they have fueled an "atmosphere of deep mutual distrust" between groups, and have "suffocated," rather than stimulated, public debate in society about equality and difference.

Rescue workers, soldiers and police combed through the rubble of a devastated town in Indonesia's Aceh province Thursday, resuming a search for earthquake survivors that was halted at night by rain and blackouts.

More than 100 people died in the shallow and powerful quake that struck northeast Sumatra before dawn on Wednesday. Hundreds were injured and dozens of buildings were destroyed. The worst damage appears to be in Pidie Jaya district near the epicenter, but assessments of the region are still underway.

9. French Senate Passes Bill Targeting Pro-Life Websites; Critic Says Catholic Catechism Could be Punishable- CNS News

A French law which critics fear will target pro-life advocacy moved closer to reality on Wednesday, when the country's Senate passed it with minor amendments, following a heated discussion over freedom of expression.

The legislation purports to criminalize only deliberately misleading information that is deemed to exert "psychological or moral pressure" on a woman seeking information about abortion. But opponents are far from convinced.

Gregor Puppinck, director of the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ), said the text passed on Wednesday prohibits the making available of any information - even true information - that is viewed as likely to exert "psychological or moral pressure."

By that standard, he said, photos of aborted babies, statistics on the medical consequences of abortion, or testimonies of women who have had bad abortion experiences would be outlawed, since that information by its very nature would be enough to exert such pressure on a viewer or reader.

_Father, the abortion fight is world-wide, and encompasses not just the life of the unborn but freedom of religion as well. We pray that this law will be defeated.

_"Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, 'You will not require an account.' But You have seen it, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand." (Psalm 10:13, 14a)

Electoral College attack

The Jill Stein-Hillary Clinton attack on the Electoral College is a long-term strategically planned effort to undermine the American Republic and topple the US government. While there are many people on both sides of the Electoral College issue, a well-informed person who believes in the rule of law and representation of the people must take notice that the Electoral College stands in the breech against a long and tenacious struggle for totalitarianism. Stein and Clinton are representatives of communism. Clinton's attorney is financed by communist reformist George Soros and the attacks on the Electoral College is part of their plan to chip away at the government and the will of a free people.

Their approach is to call for recounts in states they traditionally win while, at the same time, work behind the scenes to sway votes in the Electoral College. The Marxism dialectic is saying they do not believe there was anything corrupt, but they want to make sure. This antithesis attempts to establish a new thesis that changes the way Americans feel about their election process. They believe it is only fair to have the majority win-that's democracy. And there might just be something wrong if the majority doesn't win. This not only raises more suspicion of voting security (which the Democratic Party has been exploiting for decades), but also casts doubt about the "fairness" of the Electoral College.

Consider that there are 3,141 counties and county equivalents in the 50 States and the District of Columbia. An analysis by Inquisitr.com and the Atlantic indicate that Donald Trump won 84% to Clinton's 15%--that's roughly 2,638 counties for Trump and 502 for Clinton. Inquisitr.com reports, "This highlights the reasoning behind the Electoral College to ensure that non-urban dwelling citizens have their voices heard in the election. If there was no Electoral College, the 100 most populous counties (just 3 percent of the total county count) would determine every election unless something significant happened within the U.S. geography makeup. Therefore, rural voters' concerns would be placed on the back burner of all presidential elections and platforms." It could be taken a step further where the concerns of common sense people would be forgotten.

Herein is why the communists want to end the Electoral College or set precedent for electors to change their vote: If they run up the vote in places where voters are most dependent on government, they can take over the government. We have seen the effects of this over the past eight years where the rule of law has given way to whims of political correctness. Hence, we can reveal the truth behind the effort to repopulate conservative areas with Islamists and illegals with the hopes of giving them a vote in the future. 2 Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Don't be deceived by the attack on the Electoral College. Your freedom hangs in the balance.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Classic Hymns:

I Will Sing of My Redeemer

"Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all His wondrous works."
(1 Chronicles 16:9)

Lyrics

I will sing of my Redeemer and his wondrous love to me; On the cruel cross He suffered, from the curse to set me free.

Refrain:

Sing, oh, sing of my redeemer, with His blood He purchased me,
On the cross He sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free.

I will tell the wondrous story, how my lost estate to save, In His boundless love and mercy, He the ransom freely gave.

Refrain

I will praise my dear Redeemer, His triumphant power I'll tell, How the victory He giveth over sin, and death, and hell.

Refrain

I will sing of my Redeemer and His heavenly love for me; He from death to life hath brought me, Son of God, with Him to be.

About the hymn:

The hymn "I Will Sing of My Redeemer," was found in a piece of baggage rescued from a fiery train wreck on the day of December 20, 1876. The author, 38 year old Philip P. Bliss, had been traveling with his wife to Chicago to help in the D. L. Moody Tabernacle service. In Ohio, a bridge collapsed and the train plunged into an icy river bed. It is said that Bliss survived the fall and climbed out through a coach window only to return, looking for his wife. Reunited, they died together in the flaming wreckage. This hymn is a very simple expression of the truth of the Gospel.

70-Mile-Long Crack Opens Up in Anatarctica

An ominous crack in an Antarctic ice shelf as wide as a football field is long takes on an otherworldly beauty in a new aerial image.

Snapped by scientists on NASA's IceBridge mission, the shot shows a rift in Larsen C, an ice shelf that is floating off the Antarctic Peninsula. When the crack eventually spreads across the entire ice shelf, it will create an iceberg the size of the state of Delaware, according to IceBridge. That's around 2,491 square miles (6,451 square kilometers).

As of Nov. 10, when the IceBridge scientists observed this crack, it was 70 miles (112 km) long and more than 300 feet (91 meters) wide. The dark depths of the crack plunge down about a third of a mile (0.5 km), all the way through the ice to the ocean below.
According to NASA Ice, an Earth sciences program at NASA, this rift is relatively new - it showed growth on satellite imagery just this year. The U.K.-based Antarctic research group the MIDAS Project first observed the rift in 2014 and has been tracking it ever since. (LiveScience) Read more here.

The Good News Corner

In Case You Missed It: Dolly Parton Brings Christ to 'The Voice'

It's rare these days to hear about Jesus Christ on prime-time TV - but that's exactly what Dolly Parton brought to "The Voice" on Tuesday night.

The country music icon partnered with Jennifer Nettles and "The Voice's" top 10 from this season in a beautiful rendition of the very religious song "Circle of Love."

The chorus of the song goes: "Circle of love, halo of light/ When Jesus was born, on that Christmas night/ And oh what a night! That Holy night was/ When Bethlehem glowed, in the circle of love."

Christ, of course, is at the very heart of the Christmas season - but it is very easy even for true believers to get caught up in the gifts, food, and celebrations. As we celebrate Christmas this year, it is vital for Christians to put Christ at the center of our lives - He came into the world to save mankind.

As John 3:16 states: "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Dolly Parton's song also highlights the salvation Christ brought to the world:
"Happy birthday to You Jesus, let us lift You up
How thankful we are, for all of Your love

So Jesus was born, wore a crown of thorns
Gave it all up, just to save us."
