News for Prayer!
"The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever." (Psalm 37:29)
The Daily Brief
1. Senate approves bill banning insider trading by lawmakers, 96-3 - The Hill
The Senate voted 96 to 3 Thursday to prohibit members of Congress from using non-public information for personal financial gain but beat back a slew of amendments to further limit congressional perks. The Senate action puts pressure on House Republicans to pass similar legislation to quell allegations of congressional self-dealing at a time when Congress's approval rating is at an all-time low.
House leaders are working on a more expansive bill that would include land deals and other non-stock transactions. A vote is expected in February.
- Continue to lift this bill in prayer until it has passed both Houses of Congress and is signed into law by the President. Pray!
- "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)
2. Intelligence chief: Iran has uranium for 4 nuclear bombs - Jerusalem Post
Iran has created a stockpile of enriched uranium that could be used to manufacture four nuclear weapons, head of the IDF's Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi said on Thursday.
- Lord, we pray for Your intervention against any attempts to launch nuclear weapons in the Middle East. We continue to bind that spirit of murder in the Name of Jesus.
- "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;" [Psalm 91:5]
3. Risk of 'Accidental' Gulf War on the Rise - Der Speigel
The Persian Gulf hasn't seen this kind of display of naval power since the final campaign against Saddam Hussein. Indeed, its size has prompted many to wonder whether it is merely posturing and bluffing or, rather, a sign of an upcoming fourth war in the Gulf.
- Lord, while the media often remarks that the situation is just "posturing," You know the hearts behind the incident. We ask that You cover Your people Israel with Your wings, and set Your hand against the enemies of Your people. We bind any "accidents" in Jesus' Name!
- "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you take refuge." [Psalm 91:4]
4.Gallup state numbers predict huge Obama loss - Washington Examiner
Gallup released their annual state-by-state presidential approval numbers yesterday, and the results should have 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue very worried. If President Obama carries only those states where he had a net positive approval rating in 2011 (e.g. Michigan where he is up 48 percent to 44 percent), Obama would lose the 2012 election to the Republican nominee 323 electoral votes to 215.
- Lord, this is a dangerous headline! We ask that You remind Your people that polls can change in the blink of an eye, and turn everything upside down. We bind complacency and presumptuous beliefs, and pray that You will help us to continue to bend our knees in prayer throughout the election season. We ask that You move across America to have Your people vote wisely and hear Your voice.
- "Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity." [Psalm 141:9]
5. FBI Director Says Cyberthreat Will Surpass Threat From Terrorists - ABC News
Threats from cyber-espionage, computer crime, and attacks on critical infrastructure will surpass terrorism as the number one threat facing the United States, FBI Director Robert Mueller testified today.
- Father, we cover the computers of America with the Blood of Jesus, and erect a hedge of Your protection around all computers in the American infrastructure. Make us impervious against cyber threats.
- "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you." [Joshua 1:5]
6. Source: Plans to turn over Taliban Gitmo detainees in works - Fox News
The Obama administration has taken "operational steps" to move five Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay as part of a confidence-building measure to further peace talks with the Afghan Taliban - a development that comes in advance of a hearing Thursday where senior intelligence officials will testify on national security threats, a senior congressional official told Fox News.

- Father, we are incensed at this plan to trade Taliban members in the name of "confidence building." These detainees are dangerous people, and could continue their "war" against us in the future. We pray that wisdom will win out in this issue before any detainee release is allowed.

7. Holder Holds Firm: I Knew Nothing About 'Fast and Furious' Gun-Walking - Fox News
Attorney General Eric Holder, under intense questioning, tells House hearing once again that he only heard about 'Operation Fast and Furious' in the winter of 2011 - while Indiana Rep. Dan Burton charges: 'There's some things in there being hidden that you don't want us to see... We have every right under the Constitution to check on what you're doing.
- Lord, we ask that You reveal all hidden actions and agendas of this administration. Wherever corruption and poor decisions abide, let Your Spirit of Truth reveal and deal with them.

OBAMA ELIGIBILITY CHALLENGES SPREAD TO 6 STATES!
Decision in Georgia case expected soon, but ballot concerns going viral
An administrative law judge in Georgia could decide as early as this week whether voters in the state convinced him Hussein Obama's name should be removed from the 2012 presidential ballot because he is not qualified to hold the office.
But win, lose or draw, the fight isn't going to be over, as other cases are erupting across the nation, with challenges being raised anew even in Obama's own adopted political network in Illinois.
The Georgia hearing was before Judge Michael Malihi, and while none of the lawyers who appeared in the proceedings was willing to predict what the decision will be, several did confirm that Malihi had considered simply granting them a default victory, because Obama and his lawyers expressly stated they would not participate in a hearing to provide evidence that he is qualified to be on the ballot.
A default presumably would have meant a recommendation from the judge that Obama's name be stricken from the ballot, a decision which would head for review immediately by Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp.
He, however, was the one who warned Obama of the "peril" of not participating in the hearing when Obama and his attorney had asked that the event be canceled.
Whatever the outcome in Georgia, the issue is gaining traction in other states, too, including Alabama, Tennessee, Arizona, New Hampshire, and even Illinois, Obama's home political base. . . . (WorldNetDaily) Read more.
Prayer Requests:
1. Ask our Lord to send His heavenly host to protect the life of Judge Malihi, his family and his staff.
2. Ask that a decision be rendered in truth whether the name of Hussein Obama needs to be removed from the ballot for the presidential election in the State of Georgia.
3. Lift up a prayer over the rest of the nation, that as many states as the Lord wills would pursue similar eligibility hearings in their own Supreme Courts. Amen.

Breast Cancer Group Cuts Ties With Abortion Seller
Citing a new policy against giving funds to groups under government investigation, the breast-cancer charity organization Susan G. Komen for the Cure announced Tuesday it is curtailing its association with Planned Parenthood.
The group has been criticized for hypocrisy since its association with Planned Parenthood was first revealed in 2005. According to some researchers, there's evidence of an increased risk of breast cancer after an abortion.
"While it is regrettable when changes in priorities and policies affect any of our grantees, such as a long-standing partner like Planned Parenthood, we must continue to evolve to best meet the needs of the women we serve and must fully advance our mission," the Komen Foundation said in a statement. The group will reconsider resuming its relationship with Planned Parenthood if it is exonerated by Congress. . .
Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., launched the Planned Parenthood investigation last September after multiple reports - and videos - of employees apparently circumventing state and federal laws came to light. He asked the organization to provide internal audits from 1998 to 2010 showing how much federal money Planned Parenthood received and how it was spent, including if the government had to be reimbursed for improper billing to Medicaid, the federal-state healthcare program for the poor; state-level audits of the group or its affiliates going back 20 years; policy statements to certify there is no co-mingling of federal dollars in programs that fund abortions to Planned Parenthood's clients; and explanations that convey the group's procedures for reporting "criminal conduct," to include statutory rape, sexual abuse, and suspected sex trafficking.
So far, Planned Parenthood, which receives approximately $1 million each day from taxpayers, has not complied. (CitzenLink) Read more.

Post-Abortive Women, Cancer Victims Cheer Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation's Decision to Defund Planned Parenthood
"On behalf of the breast cancer victims and survivors of Silent No More, I can't thank the Susan G. Komen Foundation enough for this decision."
EDITOR'S NOTE: Ever since word hit the media that the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation was pulling support for Planned Parenthood, they have reportedly received a barrage of criticism from pro-abortion advocates. In the midst of these loud and angry voices, I invite our readers to send an outpouring of gratitude to Komen for this brave decision by the Foundation's advisors. Use the link at the end of this article or simply email: news@komen.org, to thank them for standing for true health and healing for women, and for the lives of the pre-born. -Aimee Herd, Breaking Christian News
Staten Island, NY)-Leaders of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign (SNMAC) today hailed the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation's announcement that it will no longer give money to Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, or any other organization under Congressional investigation.
"This is more than welcome news, especially to the post-abortive women of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign who are breast cancer survivors," said Janet Morana, co-founder of SNMAC. "Of the 70 epidemiological studies that have been conducted worldwide since 1957, 80% report a risk increase of breast cancer for women who have had abortions. The Susan G. Komen Foundation's donations to Planned Parenthood were as nonsensical as would be the American Lung Association donating to a tobacco manufacturer."
"No one is more anxious to find a cure for breast cancer than the women of Silent No More," added Georgette Forney, also a co-founder of SNMAC. "This is a plague that affects us personally and deeply. We recently lost a dear co-worker to breast cancer; the disease is all too familiar to our membership. On behalf of the breast cancer victims and survivors of Silent No More, I can't thank the Susan G. Komen Foundation enough for this decision."
The Silent No More Awareness Campaign and other pro-life women's groups have worked for years to disseminate the facts on the abortion/breast cancer link. Eve Sanchez Silver, a former Susan G. Komen medical research analyst and Hispanic outreach director, deserves special thanks for her tireless efforts to educate women, especially Latinas, on the breast cancer risk caused by abortion. Ms. Sanchez Silver, a two-time breast cancer survivor who left the Komen Foundation because of its donations to Planned Parenthood, appeared on Priests for Life's Defending Life television program as part of those efforts.
Alveda King, fulltime Priests for Life associate and a spokeswoman for SNMAC, added today, "There are abortion clinics across the United States located on or near boulevards named after my uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. They have been dealing death to babies and, according to objective scientific research, breast cancer to women for decades. The Susan G. Komen Foundation's new policy will save lives by making abortion, and therefore breast cancer, less prevalent in all communities."
Since the launching of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign in 2003, 4,845 women and men have shared their testimonies publicly at over 865 gatherings in 48 states and ten countries where more than 110,830 attendees have heard the truth about abortion's negative aftereffects. More than 10,100 people representing 57 countries are registered to be Silent No More.
Raising awareness about the hurtful aftermath of abortion and the help that is available to cope with the pain are two of the Campaign's goals. The Campaign has over 1,300 testimonies posted here, with over 120 that are shared via video!
