1. URGENT: RADIATION LEVELS SURGE OUTSIDE JAPANESE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - AP

Thousands of people have been evacuated from the area near the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant as radiation levels surge to 1,000 times their normal levels due to an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami that killed hundreds of people across Japan.

- We have been tracking this news out of Japan since late last night, when the quake first hit; and we have been engaged in several conference calls to pray over all breaking news out of that besieged nation. We know you are each doing the same.

As you track all of the urgent news of the continuing earthquakes in Japan, PLEASE PUT THIS NEED ON THE TOP OF YOUR LIST. Ask our Lord to release His angelic host to protect this nuclear site, and all the residents in the area. Much prayer will be needed for Japan, for many weeks ahead. Pray!

2. Japan earthquake strongest in 1,200 years - ABCNews

The 8.9-magnitude earthquake which struck Japan on Friday was the strongest in the area in nearly 1,200 years, David Applegate, a senior science adviser at the US Geological Survey, tells the Associated Press. He says the quake ruptured a patch of the earth's crust 150 miles long and 50 miles across. Read more.

- Perhaps the Lord would redemptively use this huge shaking to awaken the lost of their need for Him. Tonight we mourn with those who grieve in Japan, and we cry out to the LORD for the souls of many in the nation of Japan to yield to the wooing of our Savior, receiving Him as their Lord. Amen.

- "There is no other name whereby we must he saved." (Acts 4:12)

Man Swept Out to Sea by Tsunami Waves in Northern California

The Coast Guard is searching for a man swept out to sea in Northern California while taking pictures of tsunami waves. Nearby, authorities in Brookings, Ore., say four people have survived after a tsunami surge swept them off a beach in Curry County and into the sea.

- We lift up all rescue workers and EMT personnel who are now working nonstop to find and to save lives in Japan . . those who may have survived these devastating earthquakes and tsunamis. May God grace each one with unusual strength and stamina in this perilous time in Japan.

- "Truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

Congressional Hearing on Islam: utopians vs realists

Hats off to Republican Congressman Peter King, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security. Amidst being called a bigot and a hate monger, King held a hearing this week on the Islamic radicalization in America. It was clear by the end of the day that most of the Democrats sided with recognized terrorist sympathizers--the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America (both affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood). Most Republicans sided with facts provided by the Justice Department that indicate of the 126 people who have been indicted on terrorist charges in the past two years, all have been Muslim. Its a battle between utopians and realists.

Of course we all know that not all Muslims are terrorists or terrorist sympathizers. And, of course, we all know that it is a small number of them in America that are being radicalized--126 people out of 300 million is a small percentage. But we also know that it was a handful of Muslims who brought this nation to its knees on 911. And we also know that it is the Islamic leadership around the world that has declared America as the Great Satan. America and Americans are singled out with Jews and Israel by Islam for destruction. It is in the interest of national security and the security of every American that a very public dialogue begin about Islam and its impact on America.

Every Christian should read two books. First, every Christian should read the entire Bible to get a clear understanding of the nature of God. Second, every Christian should read the Koran from start to finish and make a comparison. They will find that there is a difference between the inspired word of God, consistent, inerrant and infallible, written by some 40 people over a span of at least 1,600 years, and the ramblings of a Christian and Jew hating pedophiliac warlord over a 23 year period. Revelation 22:18 says "If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book." Then some 500 years later Mohammed writes an entirely new revelation.

Mohammed claimed that God's messenger angel Gabriel delivered the revelation of the Koran over a 23 year time frame. In this, we find that Mohammed's god contradicts the entirety of God's word in the Holy Bible, replacing Isaac with Ishmael, and calling on all good Ishmaelites to kill Christians and Jews and bring terror to them. This fulfills the prophecy in Genesis 16:12 of Ishmael, "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." The utopians want to think we can all get along. The realists understand that this false religion Islam is more dangerous than any nuclear weapon.

The Left Rioting In Wisconsin

The left's intolerance was on full display today in Madison, Wisconsin. It all started several weeks ago when liberal politicians fled the state in order to hijack the legislative process. Their absence prevented the state Senate from voting on crucial legislation to tackle Wisconsin's budget deficit.

After days of trying to entice the Democrats to come back and do their jobs, Republican legislators broke the stalemate last night. They took the restrictions on collective bargaining rights for government employees out of the budget repair bill and created two separate pieces of legislation. As a separate bill, a supermajority quorum was not needed to vote on collective bargaining rights because it was not considered a fiscal matter.

With that obstacle out of the way, Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate passed the collective bargaining rights bill 18-to-1. Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said, "The people elected us to do a job, and just because the Senate Democrats won't do theirs doesn't mean we won't do ours." Then left-wing protestors and union members stormed the capitol. You can see it here and here. This is a "dress rehearsal" for what the left may do all over the country if Republicans move ahead to cut big government and out-of-control spending.

The state Assembly is supposed to take up the bill today, but protesters began barricading Republican legislators inside their offices, preventing them from getting to the Assembly floor for a vote. As I write, the radicals are being forcibly removed.

It is also being reported that the Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating a rash of death threats against Republican lawmakers. Here is an excerpt from one message:

"Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in h---."

Left-wing filmmaker and Fidel Castro admirer Michael Moore is rallying the radical fringe. On MSNBC last night, Moore declared, "This is war. This is a class war. . . I'd like anybody who works on Wall Street, anybody who works for the banks, just take a look at [the chaos in Madison]. This is what's coming. This is what's coming for you. Because the people are going to demand justice, they're going to demand that your a-- is in jail." Jesse Jackson has jumped in, too, along with various radical left-wing student groups at the University of Wisconsin.

What is playing out in Wisconsin is not unlike what the media predicted would happen after the shooting of a Democrat congresswoman in Arizona, except then the media were hyperventilating about the Tea Party and conservative talk radio. We got lecture after lecture about how conservatives needed to tone down their rhetoric. But the Tea Party demonstrations were peaceful and conservative talk radio is well within the mainstream. In fact, as I have argued before, these institutions make violence less likely.

Like their fellow liberals in the Wisconsin Senate, the media have been largely AWOL in their coverage of the chaos in Wisconsin. Can you imagine what they would be saying if Tea Party demonstrators had committed civil disobedience in a state capitol in an attempt to stop a liberal governor?

In the early days of this dispute, Obama accused Gov. Walker of assaulting the unions. Since then Obama has been silent as his allies and political operatives promote lawless behavior. Where are the lectures from Obama about civility in public discourse now? Nowhere. The civility flap was a charade -- another effort to silence conservatives.

If, God forbid, one of these GOP legislators is harmed in any way by a protestor, the blame will rest squarely with the unions and indirectly with Obama for failing to condemn the climate of hate that the left has been encouraging for weeks. (Gary Bauer)

More Left-wing Hysteria

The Peter King Hearing Today on the Hill

Rep. Peter King (R-NY), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, began a series of hearings today on radicalization in the American Muslim community. For daring to investigate the obvious, King has been castigated by Muslim advocacy groups, the media and liberal politicians as a modern-day Joe McCarthy. Not surprisingly, the American people feel differently.

A Gallup poll released yesterday finds that just 38% of Americans feel King's hearings are inappropriate, while 52% believe the hearings are justified. Even 40% of self-identified Democrats support the hearings into possible Islamic radicalization in America.

A Rasmussen poll released today finds that 64% of likely voters are concerned about the possibility of naturalized citizens committing acts of terrorism against America. Just 14% believe that the federal government is "paying too much attention to potential homegrown Islamic terrorists."

Here's something else to consider about the left's frothing reaction to these hearings: Politico reports that in recent years there have been "22 hearings focusing on the problem of radicalized American Muslims plotting terrorist acts. And none triggered the avalanche of attacks that King's hearings have prompted from the left."

Why not? Because those hearings were conducted mostly by liberal Democrats. The same double standard that is so evident in the lack of coverage of the union riots in Wisconsin is at work in the media's hysterical overreaction to Peter King's hearings on Islamic radicalization. (Gary Bauer)

Bravo for Peter King!

The need for Congressman Peter King's hearings on Muslim radicalization in America is amply demonstrated by the backlash against them. If anyone really understood the vast effort underway - through most of America's mosques - to indoctrinate young Muslims in the ways of radical jihad, there would be no doubt of the need for these hearings.

A study by the Center for Security Policy, headed by Frank Gaffney, found that three-quarters of the mosques in the U.S. actively seek to teach Shariah Law with its mandate to militant action and jihad. While the other quarter merely provides places of worship, they are in the minority.
Most recent domestic acts of terror (or attempted acts) had their root in this Shariah education. There is, according to Steve Emerson (the noted expert on domestic Islamist terrorism) an active effort to recruit young men to carry out acts of mayhem against the American people. It is the duty of Congress to investigate this attack on our security.

To characterize King's efforts as "McCarthy-ite" or to call them "guilt by association" as the Obama Administration has done, merely attests to the need for these hearings. This is no red herring King is investigating. The Ft. Hood shooter, the Detroit airline would-be hijacker, the Lubbock, Texas wanna-be Bush assassin, and the incompetent Times Square car bomber all had their roots in this network of terror recruitment.

Congressman King's hearings will probe into the nature of this threat and will, also, highlight the contributions of loyal American Muslims who frequently turn in the would-be terrorists and prevent them from carrying out their crimes.

The vast, vast, vast majority of Moslems are opposed to terror and happily and loyally enjoy the benefits of living in the greatest nation on Earth. But the vast majority of terrorist acts in America are committed by Muslims, spurred on to their violence by the indoctrination they get at Shariah schools.

The Obama Administration would do well to confront this reality rather than blame Peter King for doing so. (DickMorris.com)

God Has Answered Our Prayers:

Young Kidnapped Child in Mexico Now Released!

Introduction:

Just yesterday (Thursday), we brought the following prayer request to you . . . read on, to learn how GOD has quickly answered late last night!

Urgent: Christian Kidnapped in Mexico - CHPP

Pastor Lalo Garcia is the head of a group of pastors who are doing everything possible to change the city of Juarez. They are sponsoring our crusades and helping to preach the gospel in the city as well as massive evangelical outreaches they organize for the pastors in Juarez who want to participate.

Yesterday we received word that PASTOR GARCIA'S DAUGHTER had been KIDNAPPED. He has spoken to his daughter by phone and she is all right at this time. However, this does not lessen the danger. In Mexico even if families pay the ransom they hardly ever see their loved ones again. It is a miracle when one who has been kidnapped is returned.

- Father, we pray for this precious family who has stood firm for Your Name in the midst of great danger. We ask for the safe return of this Christian lady. We offer heartfelt prayers for Pastor Garcia whose son was killed in the violence in Juarez just about a year ago. Pastor Garcia is a key leader in the fight to transform Juarez. We plead Your Blood over his daughter, and ask you to release Your heavenly Host to grant the miracle of her safe return.

- "Deliver the poor and needy, rid them out of the hand of the wicked." (Psalm 82: 4)

AND NOW . . . THE ANSWER!

Dear praying friends,

This is a quick note to tell you that Lalo Garcia just phoned to say that his daughter was liberated after he paid the ransom. He was told where to pick her up, which he did and took her home!

Lalo also expressed great thanks and appreciation to you and those who prayed for your kindness, prayers and unity with him and his family during this desperate time.

This is an enormous victory and we pray that the Lord will have mercy on the many others who have been kidnapped and not released. Many have been killed of the 10 or more people that are kidnapped each day, but not all. Thank you so much! Surely there is power in united urgent prayer.

Have a blessed night!

"Gigantic" Statue of Jesus Unveiled in Russia

(Russia)-It appears easier to erect religious statues in the former U.S.S.R. than other countries in the West.

A Russian publication, Russia Information Center, reports that a "gigantic" statue of Jesus Christ will be unveiled in Prokopievsk, in the region of Kemerovo. The unveiling is part of ceremonies commemorating the 80th anniversary of the city.

According to the report, the monument-measuring 11 meters high-will sit atop the highest point in the town. Beams of light will reportedly illuminate it from below and the pedestal it sits upon bears inscriptions of the Ten Commandments. (Source: Breaking Christian News)
