1. Olmert: Prepare for war with Syria

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday ordered the IDF to actively prepare for war with Syria, despite buying in to assessments that such a conflagration is unlikely in the coming year.

2. Report: Hizbullah readying for war

Lebanon's Hizb'allah is reportedly establishing a new stronghold from which to rebuild its strength and launch future aggression against Israel.

3. IDF treats Nablus to a 'Hot Winter'

A large IDF incursion force rolled on the "Palestinian" town of Nablus (biblical Shechem) on Sunday in an effort to root out the terrorist infrastructure operating there. Nablus produced 117 out of 190 would- be "Palestinian" homicide bombers in 2006.

4. No surprise: France to champion Hamas-led government

In an announcement that was sure to surprise very few, French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said on Saturday that his government is ready to work with a "Palestinian" unity government that includes a violently anti-Israel Hamas.

5. Jewish kindergarten in Berlin defaced with Nazi slogans

A Jewish kindergarten was the target of an anti-Semitic assault by Nazi sympathizers in Berlin at the weekend.
