Introduction

Introduction:

A Note from Pastor Jeff Daly,

Dear Friends,

Our dear sister in Christ, Bettina King, has written a beautiful letter which I offer to you for inspiration. We are told in Scripture to count the cost before going out to battle. For over twenty five years Capitol Hill Prayer Partners has taken on major battle after major battle in our nation. Please join me and Bettina King in strongly supporting with prayers and finances, this unique and vital ministry, guarding and also reviving, our Godly roots.

Dear Sara,

The following is a letter to the readers of The Daily Brief.

You may use it or not, whichever you desire.

First, and most importantly, The Daily Brief is invaluable, a gift from the Lord in keeping us well informed concerning national and international events. In our times, when the world is in turmoil, the news media can no longer be trusted for disseminating the News based on fact and truth. In many cases the event has been twisted and manipulated, which confuses the public.

The other reason, not less important, is that each paragraph of The Daily Brief is followed by prayer to intercede for the situation at hand. And so that nothing is overlooked, there are appropriate Scriptures following the paragraphs as well as thanking the Lord for His intervention where warranted.
To collect the news items, check them for accuracy, collate them and transpose them to form the body of The Daily Brief, to pray over each issue, is hard work for which I thank the Lord. Those of us who receive The Daily Brief need to consider this. Further we need to understand that producing The Daily Brief costs money.
This is an area of which I wish to remind the readership - those who are blessed to receive The Daily Brief. The Lord expects us to support His work in prayer and in giving. We usually fall short in the giving department. Thus, I am reminding us all to be faithful in supporting Capitol Hill Prayer Partners and its valuable work. And if given in love and faith, He will multiply every dollar.
Let us never fail in expressing our appreciation for a tool God has provided to keep His people well informed at a time when solid News is rare to come by and greatly needed. With my gratitude, my prayers, and my love to you, Sara, and to your co-workers. Most of all I thank our God for you and your faithfulness to the work He has called you to.

Bettina King

"Before they call I will answer . . ." (Isaiah 65:24)

Dear Friends,

The verse above says it all: "Before they call I will answer."

My dear friend Bettina had no idea that we are now truly struggling to remain afloat at the end of this summer, so that all of our bills and obligations can be paid.
During our recent monthly meeting, our Board of Directors was struggling with just this question: how can we correctly share our financial burden with all of you at this time, as brothers and sisters in Christ?
BUT GOD!
He heard our cry; He spoke to Bettina; she obeyed and wrote this letter; and now our need can be made known to you, too.
Thank you, God, and thank you, Bettina!
Now (as we say), the ball is in your court. We thank each of you for hearing and obeying His call as, together, we trust Him to carry us on through the end of the year.
Given this testimony, we rest assured, once again, that God is surely with us!

Please scroll down to the end of this page to learn how you may send an offering -- by check or online -- at this time to Capitol Hill Prayer Partners.

Thank you and God bless you all,

Sara Ballenger, President

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
