Epstein "Suicide" - FBI Opens Probe

FBI Opens Probe After Jeffrey Epstein Dies In Apparent "Suicide"

Update: The FBI is opening an investigation into Epstein's death according to media reports.

And according to NBC News correspondent Tom Winter, Epstein was not on suicide watch when he was found in his cell.

Additionally, Robby Starbuck reports that:

"At MCC, two jail guards are required to make separate checks on all prisoners every 30 minutes, but that procedure was not followed overnight, according to the source, who was not authorized to speak on the record.

Jeffrey Epstein has died after having reportedly committed suicide in his jail cell, according to multiple news reports, after a gurney carriny what is believed to be Epstein was seen wheeled out of the Manhattan Correctional Center around 7:30 a.m., according to the New York Post.

The 66-year-old Epstein was was previously placed on suicide watch after he was found "nearly unconscious" inside his cell with 'marks on his neck,' according to a Post report from late July. Investigators questioned former Orange County police officer Nicholas Tartaglione, suspected of killing four men in a cocaine distribution conspiracy, in connection with the incident. The former cop claimed to have not seen anything nor touched Epstein.

Needless to say, today's news is highly suspicious.

- We now decree that every fact behind this "suicide" be revealed and that justice be served. Amen.

- "For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open." (Mark 4:22)

- Almighty God, we pray that the angels in heaven be dispatched to uncover who the murderer of Jeffrey Epstein is, so that the guilty be brought out of hiding and the one who ordered his death be exposed. Take the cover off them that they can no longer evade exposure. We pray in the Name of Jesus Christ.

- "Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us? " (Isaiah 29:15)

Focus on Israel

1. Iran warns of 'disastrous results' if Israel involved in US-led Gulf operation - Israel Hayom

Any Israeli involvement in the US-led naval operation into the Strait of Hormuz would have "disastrous consequences" for the region, the Iranian Defense Ministry warned Thursday.

In a discussion with defense officials from Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman, Defense Minister Amir Hatami reportedly added that the "military coalition that America is seeking to form with the excuse of securing maritime transport will only increase insecurity in the region."

The warning comes as Washington ramps up pressure on the Islamic republic following a string of incidents that have stirred tensions in the Gulf, including Tehran's capture of a UK oil tanker last month and the downing of a US drone over the Strait of Hormuz earlier in the summer.

2. Waqf calls for mass prayers at Temple Mount to stop Jews visiting on Tisha B'av - Times of Israel

The Muslim religious body that manages the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City has called for all other mosques in the area to shut Sunday to boost attendance at the flash point holy site in order to block Jewish visitors from going there on Tisha B'Av.

Sunday marks the start of Eid al-Adha, an Islamic holiday commemorating the end of the annual hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, as well as the Quranic story of Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael. This year, the start of Eid al-Adha coincides with the Jewish fast day of Tisha B'Av, when Jews mourn the destruction of the temples and other disasters in Jewish history.

In a letter Friday, the Muslim Waqf trust, which oversees the site, called for the closure of all mosques in Jerusalem on Sunday except for the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount, where it said all prayers should be held.

3. Palestinians and Israeli Police Clash at Jerusalem Holy Site - Algemeiner

Israeli police fired sound grenades to disperse Palestinians during confrontations on Sunday outside Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque where tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers gathered for the Eid al-Adha holiday, witnesses said.

A Palestinian ambulance service said that at least 14 Palestinians were taken to hospitals for treatment. Israel's Kan public radio said four police officers were injured.

Facing off with police in the packed compound outside Islam's third-holiest site, Palestinians chanted, "With our soul and blood we will redeem you, Aqsa." Scuffles ensued and the crowd fled as the sound grenades exploded and smoke wafted through the compound, witnesses said.

In a statement, police said they had deployed forces at the site in anticipation of disturbances and "dispersed rioters."

4. Almost 2000 Jews Ascend Temple Mount - United with Israel

Despite Arab rioting, almost 2,000 Jews ascended the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site, on Tisha b'Av, the day commemorating the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

Israeli police initially banned Jews from ascending the Temple Mount on Sunday - Tisha b'Av - fearing Muslim rioting.

Tisha b'Av, the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av, is the day commemorating the loss of the first and second Holy Temples in Jerusalem, in 586 BCE and 70 AD respectively. On the same day this year, Muslims are celebrating Eid al-Adha (or "Feast of the Sacrifice"), which begins Sunday and runs through Thursday.

Tens of thousands of Muslims reportedly went to the site to prevent Jews from ascending.

5. Hamas gunman shot after firing at troops in fresh Gaza border battle - Times Of Israel

Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian gunman who opened fire at them while attempting to sneak into Israel from Gaza early Sunday, the military said, as fresh fighting broke out on the tense border.

This was the third infiltration attempt by armed terrorists from the Gaza Strip into Israel in 10 days.

Graphic photographs of the slain assailant shared on Palestinian social media showed him in fatigues with an AK-47 assault rifle at his side as medics come to move his body from the border area. Additional images from the morgue showed him wearing a green bandana associated with the Hamas terror group's military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, indicating that he was a member of the Gaza-ruling organization.

6. How security forces nabbed Dvir Sorek's suspected killers in less than 48 hours - Times Of Israel

Less than 48 hours after the body of 18-year-old Dvir Sorek was found on the side of the road near the West Bank settlement of Migdal Oz early Thursday, Israeli security forces apprehended the two suspects in the murder.

In a report Sunday, Channel 12 news detailed how a joint Shin Bet, Border Police and Israel Defense Forces operation nabbed Nasir and Qasseem Asafra off-guard and in their beds Saturday morning.

Immediately upon the discovery of Sorek's body, which was riddled with stab wounds, Israeli forces established a makeshift war room through which all information gathered by the various units involved was funneled.

1. Appeals Court Unanimously Rules Christian Cross on Pa. County's Official Seal Does Not Violate Constitution - ChristianNews.net

PHILADELPHIA - The Third Circuit Court of Appeals has unanimously ruled that a Christian cross included on a Pennsylvania county's official seal does not violate the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution, pointing to a recent ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court that allowed a cross veterans monument to remain on public property.

"The Establishment Clause's original public meaning and the court's most recent interpretation of it make two things clear: the Lemon endorsement test does not apply to Lehigh County's seal, and this 75-year-old seal casts only that mere shadow. 'It has become part of the community,'" wrote Judge Thomas Hardiman on behalf of the panel, quoting in part from American Legion v. American Humanist Association. (Read more)

- Father God, we shout Hallelujah for learning of this common sense ruling by Judge Thomas Hardiman, and we ask that You would protect this judge and his family in the days ahead. Amen.

- "But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!"
(Amos 5:24)

2. Death Toll Raised To Five In Arkhangelsk Military Site Blast - RadioFreeEurope

"As a result of the accident at a military testing range in the Arkhangelsk region involving a liquid-fuel jet engine, five Rosatom employees died," the state-run nuclear company said on August 10, raising the number of fatalities from the two reported a day earlier. That the update was released by the state-run nuclear power agency, not the Defense Ministry, added to mounting evidence of some sort of nuclear-related accident at the site.

Reuters quoted two U.S.-based nuclear experts as saying they suspected the blast and radiation release occurred during the testing of a nuclear-powered cruise missile that President Vladimir Putin spoke of a year ago. In separate interviews, the experts asserted that a liquid rocket-propellant explosion would not release radiation. They said they suspected the incident occurred because of a mishap during the testing of a nuclear-powered cruise missile at a facility outside Nyonoksa.

A senior U.S. official told Reuters that the details of the mishap are still unclear, but he expressed skepticism over the official explanation. "We continue to monitor the events in the Russian far north, but Moscow's assurances that 'everything is normal' ring hollow to us," said the official. The blast was one of at least three explosions to rock Russian military sites in recent days. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, allow the Americans to delve into the actual truth of what happened at this military site. Protect the United States from believing an update of false information of the incident, rather than repudiate it. Allow the truth to be known. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "For the Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." (Exodus 14:14)

3. GOP goes to war with Twitter over McConnell campaign account freeze - FoxNews

Republicans are going to war with Twitter after the platform froze the Mitch McConnell re-election account this week because the campaign posted a video of threats directed at the Senate majority leader, just as President Trump is planning a separate crackdown on left-wing social media bias.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Thursday said it won't spend money on Twitter until the situation is "adequately addressed." A top official with the Republican National Committee also said the RNC and the Trump campaign would not spend money with Twitter "until they address this disgusting bias."

Meanwhile, the White House for weeks has been hinting at possible action in relation to how social media outlets treat conservatives. A White House official told Fox News the administration is "exploring all policy solutions." In addition to a potential executive order, the White House is planning a summit with technology companies on Friday aimed at combatting extremism online. This comes after President Trump discussed the dangers on the internet during an address following last weekend's shootings in El Paso and Dayton. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that the social media outlets will treat conservatives as fairly as they would any other entity. Guide President Trump in planning a summit with technology companies which will combat extremism online and the dangers on the internet. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "A fire goes before him, and burns up his enemies round about." (Psalm 97:3)

4. Trump Says Movie Showing Elites Killing Deplorables Was Made 'To Inflame and Cause Chaos' - Epoch Times

President Donald Trump said that the movie slated for a September release showing so-called deplorables being hunted by elite anti-Trumpers highlights the racism from Hollywood. "The Hunt" shows 12 strangers waking up in a clearing without knowledge of how they got there, where they are, or why they're there, according to the film's official description.

While the film doesn't explicitly say the people being hunted are supporters of Trump, the people are described by one of the elites as "deplorables." The hunters are liberal elites and the people who are being hunted are supporters of Trump, and the movie "follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals."

An advertisement for "The Hunt" was pulled off ESPN following the recent mass shootings but NBC Universal said it plans to move forward with the movie's release, the company told Fox News. Universal said that the movie's marketing campaign was "temporarily paused" following the shootings. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we ask that You call forth Your warrior angels to fight the release of this extremely evil movie that pours forth a waterfall of hatred and mental and emotional confusion. Cast it out, turn it to sawdust, and withhold funds that would keep it active. Cripple all activity that would attempt to promote this movie. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "For there shall be no reward to the evil man: the candle of the wicked shall be put out." (Proverbs 24:20)

5. Trump Names Joseph Maguire Acting National Intelligence Director - Daily Caller

President Donald Trump named Joseph Maguire, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, the acting national intelligence chief Thursday after CIA official Sue Gordon resigned. Gordon, the principal deputy director of national intelligence, reportedly told the White House she was planning on resigning Thursday after she learned she would be passed up for the director position, according to NBC News.

"Admiral Maguire has a long and distinguished career in the military, retiring from the U.S. Navy in 2010," he continued. "He commanded at every level, including the Naval Special Warfare Command. He has also served as a National Security Fellow at Harvard University. I have no doubt he will do a great job!"

"Sue has announced she will be leaving on August 15, which coincides with the retirement of Dan Coats. A new Acting Director of National Intelligence will be named shortly," the president continued in reference to former DNI Dan Coats, whom Trump considered firing for months. (Read more)

- Righteous Father, bless President Trump as he strengthens the chain of command to better stabilize the backbone of all who assist him in making our country strong. May those who lead, become stronger and more dedicated to their call of service so that there be an excellence supporting our President.

- "But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good." (Romans 2:10)

6. 'All' immigration 'cheaters' to face prosecution. Marriage, fraud lawyers targeted - Washington Examiner

Ken Cuccinelli, the acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, [said] one of his top priorities will be to sniff out fraud among those trying to win citizenship, and take them to court. Besides preserving citizenship for those who deserve or earn it, Cuccinelli said that the army of investigators and other officials at USCIS must be respected and not constantly lied to.

Officials said that some of those seeking visas and citizenship, and even lawyers representing them, have engaged in rampant fraud. And in several cases, lawyers for immigrants lie about their clients to get visas - and sometimes the immigrants don't know their lawyer is committing fraud.

"Previous administrations have tolerated far too much fraud in our immigration system, instead emphasizing swift approvals. This is unfair to the legitimate applicants, and presents a security risk," said Jessica M. Vaughan, the director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies. "His commitment to imposing more consequences on people who commit fraud will be a big help in reducing it, and that will help unclog the system for everyone," she added. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray and trust that You will bring out of hiding all the fraudulent crimes that are being practiced. May the lies, fraud, dishonest lawyers, and immigrants supporting such acts be stopped instantly as the evil is exposed from the lowest level to the highest. Bring swift convictions that will penalize the guilty. In the righteous Name of Jesus.

- "But God is the judge: He puts down one, and sets up another." (Psalm 75:7)

7. Voter ID Opponents Lose Again. This Time in North Dakota. - Daily Signal

Opponents of election integrity lost the latest in a long string of cases recently when a three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated North Dakota's voter ID requirement and tossed out an injunction that had been issued by a lower court. North Dakota is the only state in the Union that does not require citizens to register to vote. You can show up on Election Day and vote in North Dakota-as long you show identification. The state Legislature passed a series of laws delineating the forms of identification that could be used to vote.

As noted in a 2005 study by the Commission of Federal Election Reform, headed by former President Jimmy Carter and Secretary of State James Baker, "The electoral system cannot inspire public confidence if no safeguards exist to deter or detect fraud or to confirm the identity of voters. Photo IDs currently are needed to board a plane, enter federal buildings, and cash a check. Voting is equally important." (Read more)

- Father God, we call upon You to put these applicable laws in place and require enforcement of same. Especially with voting, we pray there be no leniency that would allow illegal voting. We ask in the Name of Jesus.

- "Wash you, make you clean: put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil." (Isaiah 1:16)

8. Supreme Court to Decide if Transgender Rights Prevail Over Christian-Based Businesses - CBN News

The US Supreme Court announced on Tuesday it will take up the case involving a Michigan Christian funeral home's objection to an employee's decision to transition to a different sex. The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) reports the case could bring a definitive ruling on the future rights of faith-based businesses and ministries.

At issue is whether the 1964 federal Civil Rights law that prohibits employment discrimination based on race and religion also applies to sexual orientation and gender identity. The funeral home said its priority is for families to focus on their loss and their grief. That's why the business set sex-specific dress code to emphasize professionalism and so employees would blend into the background.

The funeral home fired the employee on the decision to not follow the dress code. It was then that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a lawsuit against the funeral home. The US Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit agreed with the EEOC and ordered the faith-based funeral service, whose mission statement is "to honor God in all that we do," to allow a male employee to dress and present himself as a woman at work. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we trust that these unnatural sexual demands will not find a path to infiltrate what has always been normal and lawful and Biblically correct. Father, the sadness of loss at a funeral should not be invaded by the heartless, insensitive practices of an outsider. Put up a wall against the EEOC and all they stand for. In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray.

- "Pray for us; for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly." (Hebrews 13:18)

9. Huge cache of records details how Jeffrey Epstein and madam lured girls into depraved world - Miami Herald

A chilling picture of how hundreds of girls and young women from around the world were trafficked for sex by Jeffrey Epstein, his madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, and - allegedly - a number of powerful business and world leaders emerged Friday in court documents unsealed in New York.

The documents, the largest cache to be released in the 13 years since Epstein's case began, offer brutal details about Epstein's trafficking of teenage girls in Palm Beach, New York and overseas - as well as Maxwell's obsessive and often abusive quest to provide him with new girls over a span of years in the early to mid 2000s. The cache of court documents, part of the defamation case's motion for summary judgment, also shows that in 2006, when the Palm Beach police were first investigating Epstein, he was being assisted by Maxwell as part of a pyramid-like scheme the pair operated to lure young girls from around Palm Beach County, focusing on schools, colleges and spas. (Read more)

10. RNC Unanimously Passes Resolution Opposing Forced Organ Harvesting in China - Epoch Times

The Republican National Committee (RNC) called out China's notorious human rights abuses by passing a resolution to condemn the Chinese regime's "vile practice" of state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, making it the first "on record" statement from a major U.S. political party on the issue.

Unanimously passed on Aug. 2 by the 168-member body, the bill was the latest action by Western entities to raise awareness about the issue. RNC Committeeman for California Shawn Steel, who spearheaded the effort, said he felt motivated after a June 17 ruling by a London-based independent people's tribunal that concluded forced organ harvesting-or the practice of extracting human organs forcibly from individuals for profitable transplant surgery-has taken place in China over the past two decades "on a significant scale."

Steel said that passage of the resolution is just the first step in shedding light on the organ harvesting practice on an international stage. The American universities, foundations, and doctors should disassociate themselves with Chinese medical entities or face penalties for collaborating with them on transplantation research, he said. He also called for the United States government to follow the lead of Israel and Taiwan and enact laws preventing American citizens from traveling to China for organ transplant surgeries. "They are getting it from young people who are being sacrificed . . . for their body parts," he said. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we cry out to You in prayer that this organ harvesting business in China, America, and European countries be visited by a mighty host of heavenly angels who will carry out God's assignment to stop this practice this week. The power of the Name of Jesus and His Blood be against these countries and people who perform such animalistic practices. Enough is enough, Lord. We pray in Jesus' Name.

- "Make a chain for the lands are full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. Destruction comes; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none."
(Ezekiel 7:23, 25)

The Hunt

"The Hunt" is a film depicting elite liberals gathering together at a five-star resort to embark on a "deeply rewarding" hunt for sport to kill 12 "Make America Great Again" humans known as "deplorables." One character, according to The Hollywood Reporter, says, "At least The Hunt's coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables."Fox News is reporting that Hollywood magnate Universal Pictures and the filmmakers of "The Hunt" are putting a temporary hold on the movie's marketing campaign and a Universal Pictures spokesperson said they are "reviewing materials as we move forward." This appalling movie is set for release on September 27.

The Hollywood Reporter writes: "A high-level insider says top executives want to stand by [Jason] Blum, one of the studio's most prolific and successful producers, as well as filmmaker Craig Zobel, and see the project as a satire addressing an issue of great social importance. But this person says plans could change "if people think we're being exploitative rather than opinionated. Employees in different departments were questioning the wisdom of making such a movie in these times," says one filmmaker with ties to Universal. "In light of the horrific [recent shootings], is this not the most craven, irresponsible, dangerous exploitation?" That point is countered by a Universal executive, who says the movie "is meant to show what a stupid, crazy world we live in," adding, "It might even be more powerful now."" This is how these people think.
DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall told Fox News that the movie is "harmful to a culture that surely needs messages of unity and understanding" during the current climate. McCall said, "It says something sad about the state of the 'entertainment' industry that this movie ever got conceived and produced. Hollywood clearly thinks it is OK to stereotype so-called deplorables and set them up for a hunt. Thank heavens some sensible outlets are pulling the promotional ads." McCall was referring to ESPN pulling an ad for the film over the August 3 weekend and a source for ESPN says that no spots will run on the network in the coming weeks.
This type of movie trips the levers of those who get so angry they want to kill people. That's the possible result of advertising and showing such a movie. The overall point of glorifying killing someone who disagrees with a political point of view is no less than what communists, tyrants, and dictatorships actually always have done. Movies like this normalize such thoughts here in America. Hollywood is sending a message that it is OK to demonize those who disagree with the leftist agenda. We don't need a movie to watch, we see this every day in the news. And they feign "shock" when someone acts on it, and continue to blame those with whom they disagree. So much for the Golden Rule. As Christ said in Luke 6:31, And as you would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." Do they really want to be treated the way they treat others?

Have a blessed and powerful day,

BACK-TO-SCHOOL RESOURCES

Part One: Introduction

Dear friends and fellow intercessors,

Boy! This summer has sure gone by quickly, and now it is time to get ready to go BACK-TO-SCHOOL.

Whether you are preparing to educate your children in a home school, a Christian school, or a public school, we honor each one of you out there, and we pray for the safety of each child in the year ahead. Amen.

Also, in addition to the "normal" tasks that face any parent this time of year in helping his or her child be ready for class . . . as brothers and sisters in Christ, we may consider utilizing other strategies to ensure that our children will enjoy a safe and a healthy "new year" in September.

These strategies are:

1. Utilizing the Word of God in your place of authority as a believer, and . .

2. Bringing "boots on the ground" by literally prayer walking the schools in your neighborhood.

Part Two: Praying the Word of God

Please find via this link a series of verses to pray over your children as they head back to school. These verses are organized as follows:

1) God's Instructions to Parents

2) God's plans for our children

3) Declarations over our children and leaders.

We know that it is written that: " . . . so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

By decreeing out loud these promises of Scripture, we can rest assured that God's Word will be activated on behalf of our loved ones.

> > > To activate these words, go here.

Part Three: Praying on site for your schools

Finally, you may wish to "claim the land" by literally visiting each school in your city, and simply walking around it. Use wisdom re: the timing of your visit, and as you walk, please be as discrete as possible. Amen.

In Closing:

We wish to thank a sister in Christ in AGLOW for allowing us to share these verses with you, as well as Intercessors for America for allowing us the use of their website in order to post these verses. Thank you, team!

Classic Hymns

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS

"The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Galatians 6:14)

Lyrics

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, The emblem of suffering and shame; And I love that old cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Refrain

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world, Has a wondrous attraction for me; For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above To bear it to dark Calvary.

Refrain

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine, A wondrous beauty I see, For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died, To pardon and sanctify me.

Refrain

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true; Its shame and reproach gladly bear; Then He'll call me some day to my home far away, Where His glory forever I'll share.

Refrain

Dozens killed after Typhoon Lekima makes landfall in eastern China

(CNN)Thirty-two people have died and 16 more are missing after Typhoon Lekima made landfall in east China's Zhejiang Province, according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency. Most of the victims were killed when torrential downpours caused a landslide in Yongjia County, which in turn blocked a river, before victims were swept away. Xinhua reported that close to 5 million people living in the Zhejiang province were hit by the floods. Over 1 million were evacuated, according to provincial flood control headquarters. The typhoon, the ninth to hit China this year, made landfall at 1:45 a.m. Saturday (1:45 p.m. ET Friday) in Zhejiang, according to Xinhua. (Read more)

The Good News Corner
Big Court Victory Puts Another 'Nail in the Coffin' of Attempts to Remove Religious Symbols from Public Places

(Lehigh County, PA) - [CBN News] A federal appellate court on Thursday rejected an attempt by the Wisconsin-based atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) to censor the image of a cross from Lehigh County's historic seal.

The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia ruled 3-0 that after the Supreme Court upheld the Bladensburg Cross war memorial as an historic monument, Lehigh County can maintain its seal as a symbol that "has become part of the community."

Lehigh County's seal, which has been in use for over 70 years without any complaints, features a cross representing the county's early German settlers who fled persecution in their homeland seeking religious freedom in America. The seal also features over a dozen other images-such as grain silos, textiles, the Liberty Bell, and a red heart-representing important aspects of the county's rich history and culture.

Becket, a non-profit religious rights law firm, represented Lehigh County, arguing that the Constitution allows communities to maintain religious symbols in the public square in recognition of the significant role of religion in our history and culture.
