1. 'This is a good government, no one wants elections' - Israel National News

MK Nissan Slomiansky (Jewish Home), chairman of the Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, said on Monday that the crisis over the new draft law is not as significant as it has been made out to be.

"In fact, there was no crisis at all because it was possible to reach an agreement with Liberman and the haredim, and now even the Council of Torah Sages has given the impression that this is not a pretext for elections," he told Arutz Sheva in an interview, calling on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to declare that the elections will take place at their scheduled time.

"There is no one I know from the coalition who wants elections. I believe the opposition thinks the same way, but since the Prime Minister is not saying anything and everything is unclear, then every party thinks that elections could come at any moment. If the Prime Minister says that the coalition will continue until November 2019 and everyone agrees to return to regular work, things will look different. Everything that is happening now, people from the coalition attacking one another, is only because everyone thinks we are going to elections, even though no one wants them," continued Slomiansky, who opined that there is no better government than the present one.

2. First Day Of Knesset Overshadowed By Talk Of Elections - Jerusalem Post

The Knesset opened its winter session on Monday amid speculation about when the parliament will be dispersed and when the next election will be initiated.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu devoted his 40-minute speech at the session's festive opening to listing his government's diplomatic, security and economic accomplishments, and criticizing the opposition.

"What really bothers you is not the loss of democracy but the loss of Leftocracy," Netanyahu said, coining a new word. "The opposition is disconnected from the nation."

Arab and Left-wing MKs heckled Netanyahu, not taking the advice of Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, who prior to the prime minister's speech cautioned, "Whether or not it is an election year, I will not permit the Knesset to become a circus."

3. Opening Knesset, Netanyahu rips opposition for ignoring 'fantastic progress' - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday delivered a gushing review of his and Israel's achievements over the past decade, saying that the country has gone through an "unprecedented revolution of advancements" and slamming the "negative and bitter" opposition for not recognizing the progress.

Speaking at the opening of the Knesset's winter session, Netanyahu mounted what looked like a test run for a campaign stump speech, presenting lawmakers with a lengthy list of accomplishments, hailing close ties with the US and Russia, and pushing back against claims from the left that he was undermining democracy. "We have raised the [average] income to an all time high, we have raised the minimum wage to an all time high, we have raised public investment to an all time high," he boasted from the Knesset podium.

4. EU Calls for Investigation- Jerusalem Online

The European Union urges the sides to the recent Israeli-Palestinian clashes in the Gaza Strip to investigate collateral murders of civilians and to bring the perpetrators to justice, the spokeswoman for EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said on Sunday.

"In Gaza on Friday again thousands of Palestinians have demonstrated, sometimes violently, near the fence - In the occupied West Bank on Saturday a Palestinian woman was killed by stone throwing. Three Israeli civilians have also been killed in recent days and weeks. All such incidents need to be investigated and perpetrators brought to justice," the spokeswoman for EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Maja Kocijancic, said on Sunday in a statement.

The European Union also called on all parties concerned to exercise restraint to further killings. In addition, the bloc reiterated that it saw a political settlement as the only solution to the conflict.

5. Australian PM mulls recognizing Jerusalem as capital, moving embassy - Times of Israel

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison told Israel's prime minister that he is considering following in the footsteps of the Trump administration by formally recognizing Jerusalem as the country's capital Monday.

The potentially major shift in Australia's foreign policy would align Morrison's conservative government closer to the US and Israel, but likely draw widespread condemnation from the Arab Muslim world. It comes as Canberra's former envoy to Israel, who also said he favors such a move, is running for a crucial parliamentary seat in a heavily Jewish area of Sydney. Morrison is scheduled to make a foreign policy statement on Tuesday in which he is expected to announce he is considering recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital. The statement is also set to include the announcement of a review of Australia's support for the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. Morrison is also set to declare that Australia will vote at the UN against a resolution formally confirming the "State of Palestine" as the chair of the Group of 77.

The Daily Brief

1. President Trump, in contentious '60 Minutes' interview, defends relationships with Putin and Kim; reminds Stahl 'I'm president' - Fox

President Trump covered a lot of ground, but didn't give any in a contentious "60 Minutes" interview that aired Sunday night, railing against the "dishonest media," defending his relationships with Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, expressing mistrust in unnamed aides and pointing out to Lesley Stahl that "I'm president and you're not."

News veteran Stahl tried to pin Trump down with a pledge not to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is in the second year of an investigation into alleged collusion between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.

"I don't pledge anything," Trump said. "But I will tell you, I have no intention of doing that. I think it's a very unfair investigation because there was no collusion of any kind."

"I don't want to pledge," he added. "Why should I pledge to you? If I pledge, I'll pledge. I don't have to pledge to you. But I have ... I have no intention of doing that."

- Father, though President Trump sometimes comes off as loud, he is correct in these matters. The press has accused him of many things, and twisted his words, leaving out the true essence of what he says.

- "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over." Psalm 23:5

2. Kevin McCarthy, House GOP leader, announces get-tough immigration bill - Washington TImes

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy announced Friday a new get-tough immigration bill that would build the rest of President Trump's border wall, punish sanctuary cities and stiffen penalties on repeat-illegal immigrants.

The bill is unlikely to see action in the near future but instead serves as a marker for House Republicans as they prepare for what's likely to be a renewed immigration debate in December or, should Democrats win control of the House, early next year.

"Maintaining strong borders is one of the basic responsibilities of any nation. For too long, America has failed in this responsibility," Mr. McCarthy said in announcing the bill. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we call out to our God to maintain a safe and solid border wall around America that will prevent illegal immigration from coming into the United States. Strengthen the House Republicans' to win control of the House and we pray You block the Democrats from having any power or control of the House. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "For I know the thoughts that I think toward America, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

3. Georgia Dem gubernatorial nominee says 'blue wave' will include undocumented immigrants - Fox

A "blue wave" in the midterm elections will be fueled in part by undocumented immigrants, Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams said at a campaign rally last week.

"But the thing of it is, the blue wave is African-American. It's white, it's Latino, it's Asian Pacific Islander. It is disabled. It is differently abled. It is LGBTQ. It is law enforcement. It is veterans," Abrams said to cheers. "It is made up of those who are told they are not worthy of being here - those who are documented and undocumented."

Abrams, running for governor in Georgia, made the comments at a rally on Tuesday with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., according to the Washington Free Beacon. The remarks quickly made headlines, as they appeared to suggest illegal immigrant participation at the polls -- though Abrams may have simply been saying their interests would be represented. GOP nominee Brian Kemp told Fox News on Monday that Abrams "wants illegals to vote in Georgia." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You prevent this midterm election from being stolen by fraudulent or illegal voters.

- "O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?"
Acts 13:10

4. Honduran migrant group grows, heading for United States - Reuters

A growing group of more than 1,500 Honduran migrants headed for the United States moved toward the Guatemalan border on Sunday, witnesses and organizers said.

The migrants, who included families of adults and children, and women carrying babies, began a march on Saturday from the violent northern city of San Pedro Sula, days after U.S. Vice President Mike Pence called on Central America to stop mass migration.

- Lord, we ask that these migrants be stopped from entering our country unless there is a specific pressing need according to the law.

- "Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments." Psalm 119:137

5. Drones swamp US-Mexico border but federal agents powerless to stop them - Washington Examiner

The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI identified this week unmanned aerial systems, or drones, as one of the greatest national security threats to America - rating it as severe a concern as cybersecurity hacks, critical infrastructure attacks, and terrorism.

While drones are often thought of as techie toys, officials are becoming increasingly worried about the threat they pose and are warning it's only a matter of time until the devices are used to drop a bomb or fentanyl powder on people in a populated area. Drones are already used by transnational criminal syndicates and drug cartels. The technology is readily available to terrorist groups.

Incidents that have gained public attention in recent years have largely involved inexperienced fliers losing control of the aircraft, but the military and law enforcement officers are already dealing with cases of drones being used for illicit purposes.

- Lord, we pray that these drones will be stopped. We pray that any which are being used for illicit purposes be pulled from the sky.

- "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb." Psalm 37:1

6. Portland rallies turn violent as Antifa members clash with Patriot Prayer rally, four arrested - Fox

Four people were arrested Sunday after peaceful rallies in Oregon turned violent as Antifa protesters clashed with a Patriot Prayer rally, triggering bloody fights in the streets.

Patriot Prayer, which describes itself as a peaceful First Amendment advocacy group, organized "Tiny's Freedom March" in Portland as a going-away event for Tusitala "Tiny" Toese, who is close with group leader Joey Gibson.

Meanwhile, Rose City Antifa scheduled a counter-protest "to show Patriot Prayer, just as we showed them last year, that their violence and hatred has no place in Portland."

Portland police started to warn the crowds at Terry Schrunk Plaza and Chapman and Lownsdale Square at around 4 p.m. that violence had started to break out. Police urged participants to leave the area due to the violence that started to spark between both groups. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask for move of Your Spirit over Portland to shake the very foundations of that liberal stronghold. We ask that Your people turn from their slumber and repent for allowing this violence to constantly take place.

- "Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin." Ezekiel 18:30

7. New York City Legalizes 'Third' Gender 'X' on Birth Certificates, Mayor Signs Bill - Christian Post

As of Jan. 1, 2019, the "third" gender, designated as "X" instead of "M" or "F," will be an officially recognized option for birth certificates in the largest city in the United States.

Bill DeBlasio, mayor of New York City, signed into law a bill that allows persons who self-identify as transgender or "non-binary," those who do not consider their gender to be male or female, to change their biological sex listed on their birth certificates without a doctor's note or affidavit.

The city council approved the measure, which was sponsored by council Speaker Corey Johnson, with a 41-to-6 vote last month. "This new legislation will empower all New Yorkers, especially our transgender and gender nonbinary residents, to have birth certificates that better reflect their identity, and it furthers the City's commitment to defending the rights of our LGBTQ community," de Blasio said Tuesday.

"Everyone has a right to their own identity. Everyone has a right to be themselves. That's why New Yorkers can now change their gender to M, F, or X on their birth certificate. To our transgender and gender non-binary neighbors, New York City sees you and has your back," he tweeted. (Read more)

- Father, Your creations are male and female, but the Liar is confusing them by adding others, leaving men and women to feel marginalized in our society. We pray Your power to come and raise up a standard against this agenda.

- "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." Romans 1:18

8. Discrimination complaint filed over eviction threat for Bible class - WND

A retired pastor who was threatened with eviction for holding a Bible study in his apartment has filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Ken Hauge's legal counsel with the First Liberty Institute submitted a letter to Joseph J. DeFelice of the Philadelphia regional office for HUD asking him to investigate and "take all appropriate action." The issue is Hauge's eviction by the Evergreens at Smith Run of Fredericksburg, Virginia, for holding Bible study that allegedly "violates his lease."

Hauge's lawyers argue the eviction violates the federal Fair Housing Act. They are demanding that Evergreens and its parent Community Realty Company rescind the eviction notice and a policy prohibiting religious activities. (Read more)

- Lord this case is clearly a violation of the Constitution. We pray for favor in the courts, and a full stop to this action.

- "Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after my life."
Psalm 35: 4

9. Top US admiral warns of Russian submarine threat - CNN

America's most senior naval officer in Europe, Adm. James Foggo, said Friday that he was "concerned" about some of Russia's newer and more advanced fleet of submarines. "We've seen creation of new classes of all sorts of submarines and ships. I'm more concerned with submarine warfare," Foggo said earlier on Friday while addressing the Atlantic Council in Washington.

"Russians have produced the new Dolgorukiy-class submarine. They've produced the Severodvinsk-class submarine. They've produced the new Kilo hybrid-class submarines," Foggo told reporters at the Pentagon. He said six of the Kilo-class subs were either "operating in the Black Sea or the eastern Mediterranean," where "they're firing the Kalibr missile," a Russian-made cruise missile that he called "very capable," saying it could reach "any one of the capitals of Europe."

"That's a concern to me, and it's a concern to my NATO partners and friends. So we should know where they are at all times," he added, advocating for increased US and allied investment in anti-submarine warfare capabilities. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for Your mighty protection over America and our Navy as this threat emerges.

- "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you." Psalm 91:7

10. Bolton Warns Chinese Military to Halt Dangerous Naval Encounters - Washington Free Beacon

White House National Security Adviser John Bolton bluntly warned China this week that the U.S. military will not ignore threatening naval actions near U.S. warships in international waters.

Doubling down on the Trump administration's tough policies toward China, Bolton also renewed criticism of Beijing for meddling in U.S. elections and stealing American technology.

Commenting on the harassment of the guided missile destroyer USS Decatur by Chinese warship that nearly caused a collision in the South China Sea recently, Bolton said the threatening maneuver was unacceptable. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You work in the hearts of the Chinese to stop these encounters that threaten our military. We pray for a move of Your Holy Spirit over that nation to draw them to Your heart so that their aggressive ways might be changed.

- "The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined." Isaiah 9:2

Negative propaganda machine in full swing

Reading stories from CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post and so on, one could easily ascertain that President Trump and his Administration were the most corrupt, no good scoundrels on the face of the earth. The attacks are relentless. To the normal, run of the day, low information voter, this is good enough to throw the bums out of office. That's why informed voters need to get out and vote. Those who are fighting so hard to take over are in support of most every issue that is counter to the Holy scriptures, the precepts of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Just witnessing how the Democrats are now blaming the Republicans for the Kavanaugh vitriol is an example.

This example has plenty of legs, too. The news media just laps up whatever these leftists say and report it as fact without verification. A recent CNN story quoting Hillary Clinton is an excellent example. Clinton said, "You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about. That's why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that's when civility can start again." She went on to say that Republicans "demeaned the [Supreme Court] confirmation process" and "insulted and attacked" Christine Blasey Ford-who testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about a sexual assault she alleges Kavanaugh committed in 1982-along with other "women who were speaking out."

Clinton says the Democrats should get more uncivil because the rest of America wants to destroy what she stands for. In other words, Americans who disagree with her brand of socialism and ungodly morals should be subject to incivility. This is the bottom line of why these leftists are so angry. When Clinton lost, the capstone of their communist revolution was interrupted by Trump. Clinton is also accusing Republicans of demeaning the Supreme Court Confirmation process by insulting and attacking the lady that accused Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. No evidence was provided to justify the charges, and Republicans bent over backwards to make sure the lady was heard, her charges investigated and that she was treated respectfully. Not so with how Democrats treated Kavanaugh-guilty even if proven innocent.

Clinton was the first to demean and call liars the many women who provided evidence of her husband's philandering. Yet she says that because Republicans actually investigated and questioned the claims of a female accuser of Justice Kavanaugh, that they "insulted and attacked" all "women who were speaking out." Nonsense. But those listening to CNN surely believe what she says or at least it sowed a seed of doubt in their minds about what is true. As Proverbs 12:22 says, "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord." They should be an abomination to all those who can discern truth, even as the media's propaganda machine is in full swing and people like Clinton are able to say anything without question.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Swedish Flotilla Docks in Israel to Stand with Jewish State and Persecuted Christians

(Israel)-[CBN News] Thursday's arrival of a pro-Israeli Swedish flotilla with some 50 evangelical Christians on board was like a breath of fresh air to many in Israel.

Upon arrival, Stephan Abrahamsson, owner of the yacht, Elida, told reporters, "It's great to be here at last."

Shortly after their arrival Thursday afternoon, Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav hosted a reception for the passengers and crew.

The Israeli navy, accompanied by a fleet of Israeli yachts, escorted the flotilla to the Herzliya port.

"It was wonderful to see all the boats that accompanied us with the flags and music," Abrahamsson said. "We will be here for 11 days. We came here because Sweden's image in Israel is very bad and we are here to express out sorrow over this."

The day before the flotilla set sail on August 25, Abrahamsson announced the voyage and its purpose on his Facebook page.

"We want to break the silence of the severe persecution and cleansing of the Christian population that is taking place in this region," he wrote. "As the only democracy in the Middle East amid dictatorships, Israel welcomes us on this show of solidarity with human rights, freedom of expression, freedom of religion and fundamental democratic values. In turn, we are taking a stand for the values that Israel stands for."
