"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His Glory!" (Isaiah 6:3)

To help sustain our work, please go here. Thank you!

"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"

Focus on Israel

1. Israelis Enjoy the 7-Day Passover Holiday! - United with Israel

During Chol Hamoed, the interim days of Passover, life in Israel takes a turn towards rest and relaxation, and people spend time with family and friends.

Schools are closed and many people work fewer hours, if at all. As a result, the trains, buses, and roads are full of people touring the country.

In Tel Aviv, the beaches are filled with people, as well as the cafes along the city's promenade. The famous Dizengoff Shopping Mall in Tel Aviv is also packed with people taking advantage of the holiday to buy clothes, often on sale at this time of year.

Many Israelis flock to Jerusalem for the holiday. There are reduced prices and special tours in many of Jerusalem's museums. They offer reduced fairs for children and free admission for all during part of the holiday. The City of David Archaeological Park, which highlights the original city of King David, is offering many special Passover tours as well. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for our Passover Lamb- Yeshua- who paid the atonement for our sins. May each of us sincerely look at our hearts during this Passover holiday and examine if we have truly applied His blood to the doorposts of our lives. We pray for repenting hearts to seek You. We stand in the gap and cry out for the dry bones that have yet to come to You. We bless and praise you, Abba. We thank You for loving each of us more than we can comprehend. We pray for the safety of all of Israelis during this time, that they may remember the journey of their forefathers and that they may enjoy time with their family now. We pray that each of them would come to know you and Yeshua in a personal way. In the name of Yeshua, amen.

2. IDF braces for escalation as Hamas says 'won't hold protesters back' - Israel Hayom

Israeli military officials on Sunday predicted an escalation of the violent protests on the Israel-Gaza Strip border after Hamas leader said that the group would not try to prevent Palestinian demonstrators from rioting or approaching the security fence in future border protests.

The IDF has increased its deployment near the southern security fence in the wake of the violence seen during Friday's Hamas-orchestrated march on the border.

Some 30,000 Palestinians took part in the march, during which hundreds of rioters hurled firebombs, torched tires and stoned Israeli troops. Seventeen people were killed, 10 of them known terrorists, and some 1,400 were wounded in the border riots.(Read more)

- Abba, we ask for Your mighty hedge of protection around the land of Israel. We ask that You divinely protect the people and keep them from harm. We pray for the plans of the enemy to be stopped. We pray in the name of Yeshua, amen.

3. 'March of Return' Puts Palestinians Back In The Spotlight - Jerusalem Post

For several days the "Great March of Return" succeeded in putting the Palestinian struggle back at the center stage of world concern. With sixteen killed and more than 1,000 wounded out of 17,000 protesters who sought to march on Israel's Gaza borderFriday, the activists made headlines around the world.

But they paid a heavy price in death and wounded.

The full reverberations of the effort is not yet known and it is not clear if the activists, many of them connected to the Hamas movement, can sustain the momentum. They claim it was the start of six weeks of protests but images published on Palestinian Quds Network media on Monday showed one of the large protest camps already being cleaned up near Khan Yunis.

A look at some of the global coverage gives an indication of how the march was reported. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu suspends deal with UN - Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu directly addressed the residents of southern Tel Aviv who were sorely disappointed by his deal with the UN to deport 16,250 illegal infiltrators while allowing the rest to remain in Israel. In a post published on his Facebook page, the Prime Minister temporarily suspended the implementation of the agreement until he could meet with representatives of the citizens who would be affected by the deal.

The full text of the Prime Minister's post is as follows:

"Dear friends, I am attentive to you as always.

"First, I ask you to understand the sequence of events:

"Over the past two years I have been working with Rwanda so that it will serve as a "third country" that would absorb the infiltrators who will be deported without their consent. This is the only legal way for us to remove infiltrators without their consent, after the rest of our moves have been legally disqualified [by the Israeli Supreme Court]. Rwanda agreed to this and began the deportation operation.

"In recent weeks, as a result of the tremendous pressure placed on Rwanda by the New Israel Fund and elements in the European Union, Rwanda has withdrawn from the agreement and has refused to absorb infiltrators from Israel who were forcibly deported.

"Given this situation, I decided to strive for a new agreement that would still allow the continued removal of the infiltrators.

"However, I am attentive to you first and foremost, to the residents of South Tel Aviv. So I decided to meet with Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and with representatives of the residents tomorrow morning.

5. Saudi crown prince recognizes Israel's right to exist, talks up future ties - Times of Israel

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in an interview published Monday, recognized Israel's right to exist and extolled the prospect of future diplomatic relations between his kingdom and the Jewish state.

In an extensive interview with The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg, Prince Mohammed laid out his vision for the future of the Middle East, including the possibility of cooperation with Israel.

Asked whether he believes "the Jewish people have a right to a nation-state in at least part of their ancestral homeland," he replied: "I believe that each people, anywhere, has a right to live in their peaceful nation. I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land." (Read more)

1. Supreme Court Blocks Release of More Videos Exposing Planned Parenthood Aborted Baby Part Sales - LifeNews

The United States Supreme Court has blocked the release of more videos exposing Planned Parenthood selling the body parts of aborted babies. Ever since the Center for Medical Progress released a series of videos showing the nation's biggest abortion business and the abortion industry selling the body parts of aborted children, abortion advocates have sued to stop the release of additional footage exposing it further. Courts have considered multiple lawsuits where abortion activists have attempted to thwart the First Amendment free speech rights of Center for Medical Progress and its board members. The Supreme Court considered a case involving one of the board members of the organization and refused to consider a lower Court ruling that was anti-free Speech in nature. Troy Newman, president of the pro-life group Operation Rescue, and a former CMP board member, was sued by the National Abortion Federation for publicly releasing secret recordings of its meetings where the undercover footage was filmed exposing the abotion industry selling aborted baby parts. NAF doesn't want additional footage release making public it snefarious dealings. A lower court sided with NAF and the high court denied review without comment. Previously, a three-member panel of the liberally activist Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that additional footage obtained through the CMP's undercover investigations - even those recordings that contain evidence of criminal conduct committed by Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation officials - cannot be released to law enforcement personnel. A requested review by the full Ninth Circuit was denied. Through his attorney, Jay Sekulow, and his legal team from the American Center for Law and Justice, Newman argued that the gag order prohibited the release of incriminating videos to law enforcement agencies around the nation who sought the evidence in their own investigations. At least twenty state attorney generals had joined in the appeal.

"While appealing the gag order before the entire Supreme Court would have been preferable, we continue to fight the two oppressive lawsuits brought by the NAF and Planned Parenthood, which aim to silence us and conceal the truth about their involvement in the grisly illegal sale of aborted baby tissues and organs for profit," said Newman. "We pray that one day the full truth will come out, and those who have committed crimes will be held accountable in a court of law."

- Father, we come to You on bended knee in repentance for the constant shedding of innocent blood in our land. Give America a broken and contrite heart that we might be healed of this abomination. So many souls have been lost, that our sin reaches high above our heads.

- "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart --- these O God, You wil not despise." (Psalm 51:17)

2. Mississippi Church Votes to Leave UMC Over 'Failure to Uphold Scripture,' Abortion, Homosexuality, Resurrection, Christ's Divinity - Christian Post

Church members at First United Methodist Church of Louisville, Mississippi have overwhelmingly voted to withdraw the congregation's membership from the UMC denomination, citing a number of issues including homosexuality and abortion as the reasons.

Members of the over 180-year-old congregation held a "membership affirmation" vote this past Sunday to determine whether they wished to remain affiliated with UMC. In a 175-6 vote, the congregation expressed its desire to remove the church from the denomination.

"This is not a decision based upon dissatisfaction with our fellow churches in the Mississippi Conference. We have great respect for Bishop James Swanson and the leaders of the Mississippi Conference of the UMC," Rev. Mike Childs said in a statement following the vote. "Rather, this is a decision that our consciences forced us to make because the failure of the United Methodist denomination to uphold Scripture and its own Book of Discipline."(Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, that this congregation has voted to stand on the truth of Your Word. We ask Your blessing and favor upon them as they lean upon Your ways instead of the ways of men.

"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:6)

3. NBC's Chuck Todd and his Good Friday tweet showed disrespect for Christians, and for America Itself - Fox News

Last Friday, Good Friday in the Western Christian Church, the archetypical broadcast journalist, NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, used his media bullhorn to mock and further divide America over religion.

Todd tweeted: "I'm a bit hokey when it comes to 'Good Friday.' I don't mean disrespect to the religious aspect of the day, but I love the idea of reminding folks that any day can become 'good,' all it takes is a little selflessness on our own part. Works EVERY time."

Talk about tone deaf.

Thomas Jefferson, author of the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, must be shaking his head. We lose our appreciation for history - and in the process, for each other - by inches. And we lost something important this past week, when a major media outlet attacked Christians preparing for Easter.

Evidence of accidental or intentional disinterest in America's Christian heritage, the long beam undergirding American history, continues to pile up. The modern media promotes our forgetting, and seems increasingly comfortable deriding the Christian faith. (Read more)

- Lord, these people do not know what they are doing. We pray for a repentant heart for all who mock You and scorn Your people, even as they did to You that day when You were crucified. Bring conviction to them, Lord.

"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one of born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:5)

4. NBC slammed for pushing claim Christian faith 'is used to defend white supremacy' - Fox News

NBC News was bashed on Easter Sunday after the network promoted an opinion piece claiming that Christianity "is used to defend white supremacy." The article, written by self-described "evangelical Christian" Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove, was published on Easter morning and tweeted out on NBC News' main account in the afternoon.

"We who believe in love and justice in America this Easter must reclaim redemption from those who would use it to prop up white nationalism and bigotry," wrote Wilson-Hartgrove. "To fail to do so is ... to reject the life and witness of the resurrected Jesus, whom Christians worship today."

NBC News' tweet drew thousands of responses, many of which criticized the network for promoting an article criticizing Christianity on its holiest day. (Read more)

- Lord, we don't know the heart of this man regarding You or his relationship to You, but You do. Let all repent for any semblance of hatred that is shown by the way the true Gospel is spread by certain groups. We also ask that Your Spirit move in the hearts of all Americans, to find Your love and forgiveness.

"Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart." (Jeremiah 24:7)

5. After Confederate statue controversy, cities move to tear down monuments seen as offensive to Native Americans - Fox News

Outrage from Native American activists and their supporters has led a liberal California city closer to tearing down what they considered an offensive monument - to President William McKinley.

It's the latest in a string of moves to scrap monuments decried as offensive to Native Americans - coming after the nationwide controversy over statues of Confederate leaders.

The activists in Arcata, Calif., some 280 miles north of San Francisco, wanted the city's 8½-foot bronze statue of McKinley taken down because they said the 25th president of the United States was a proponent of "settler colonialism" that "savaged, raped and killed," the Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous People told The Los Angeles Times.

In February the City Council of the sanctuary city voted 4 to 1 to get rid of the statue. (Read more)
- Father, the erasing of American history continues - no matter what occurred decades ago, we cannot learn from our own history if it has been removed from our sight.

"Do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set." (Prov. 22:28)

6. Howard students occupy campus building, demand gender, sex, police changes due to 'systemic oppression' - Fox News

Hundreds of Howard University students continued a takeover of the school's administrative building Monday, vowing not to back down until their demands are met - conditions that range from homework and class exemptions due to "mental and emotional" health issues to a plan to disarm campus police.

HU Resist, the students organizing the now five-day revolt at the D.C.-based historically black college, turned all four floors of the administrative building, including the president's office, into an occupied "safe space," barring any faculty or staff from entry.

The list of nine demands, sparked by a financial aid scandal, calls for the resignation of the college president and board members, as well as seven other demands - from specialized counseling to combating gentrification, FOX5 reported. (Read more)
- Lord, we ask that only those demands that fall into the desires of Your heart be adopted by this university. We also ask that a more sensible method of making requests instead of demands be utilized.

"Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it." (Proverbs 8:33)

7. Tumbling tech stocks hammer Wall Street - Fox Business

U.S. stocks accelerated losses Monday as the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite plunged into negative territory for the year, joining the loss-plagued Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500.

In afternoon trading, the Nasdaq was down almost 3%, and the Dow and the Nasdaq by about 2.5%. At one point the Dow was down more than 600 points.

Fears of a trade war between the U.S. and China were exacerbated as China slapped retaliatory tariffs on the U.S., targeting a slew of goods after the U.S. announced duties on Chinese aluminum and steel. Some of the biggest losers Monday afternoon included Cisco, Intel and Amazon. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray Your stabilizing hand upon our stock market.

"A time to break down, and a time to buildup." (Eccl 3:3b)

8. Thomas Phippen: Trump Just Popped The Giant Heads Of Egotistical Bureaucrats - Western Journal

President Donald Trump signed a bill into law Wednesday that makes it illegal to pay for portraits of government officials with taxpayer money.

Trump, his Cabinet, any current or future member of Congress, and any future president or vice president or government official will have to seek private donations to pay for a portrait, or fund it themselves.

The Eliminating Government-funded Oil-painting Act, abbreviated as the EGO Act, stipulates that no government money "may be used to pay for the painting of a portrait of an officer or employee of the Federal Government, including the President, the Vice President, a Member of Congress, the head of an executive agency, or the head of an office of the legislative branch." (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord for this money saving measure.

"Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil."
(Proverbs 3:7)

9. Elizabeth Esty won't seek reelection amid scrutiny of chief of staff's departure - Washington Post

Rep. Elizabeth Esty (D-Conn.) said April 2 she won't seek reelection after she took months to remove top aide accused of threatening to kill a colleague. Yielding to pressure, Rep. Elizabeth Esty announced Monday that she will not seek reelection following reports that it took her three months to dismiss her chief of staff after he threatened to kill a former colleague.

In a statement, the lawmaker said it was right for her to bow out of the next election.

"I have determined that it is in the best interest of my constituents and my family to end my time in Congress at the end of this year and not seek reelection," Esty said. "Too many women have been harmed by harassment in the workplace. In the terrible situation in my office, I could have and should have done better." (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank You for this act of repentance on behalf of Congresswoman Esty. We pray that others will now follow her example, who have been guilty of aiding and abetting and covering up for those who are committing these crimes against women. In Your Name, amen.

"O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds." (Psalm 7:9)

10. Trumps slams Mexico and Dems as caravan of immigrants heads to US southern border - Fox News

President Trump let loose on Mexico and congressional Democrats in a series of early morning tweets Monday as a caravan of Central American immigrants makes its way largely unfettered through Mexico on its way to the United States' southern border.

"Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large 'Caravans' of people enter their country," Trump tweeted. "They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws."

Trump began his Twitter tirade on immigration over the weekend from his home in Florida, where he threatened to pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement with Mexico unless it does more to stop people from crossing into the U.S. He claimed they're coming to take advantage of protections granted certain immigrants. (Read more)

- Lord, there are at least 1,200 illegals from Central America headed to the US, with Mexico's assistance. We ask for wisdom for our Border Patrol, and for the backing of all US immigration agencies. Let them not be just released into the US. Let this tactic absolutely not be used again.

"Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink." (Psalm 69:14a)

11. Trump Declares 'No More DACA Deal,' Border-Crossers Want 'In On' Amnesty - Breitbart

On Easter Sunday, President Trump announced he would no longer be pursuing a deal with the Republican establishment and Democrats to give amnesty to at least 1.8 million illegal aliens in exchange for a few pro-American immigration reforms.

In a series of tweets, Trump signaled a return to his "America First" immigration agenda, mentioning that he will no longer try to negotiate a deal between the GOP establishment and Democrats on the issue of giving amnesty to potentially millions of illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

"NO MORE DACA DEAL," Trump wrote on Twitter, while also saying that Republicans "must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough" legislation that ends the "Catch and Release" program which releases border-crossers into the U.S. while they await trial. (Read more)

- Father God, once again we thank You for setting a "king" over us who says what he means, and who means what he says. We thank You that He has thrown down the gauntlet in the face of this looming crisis on our southern border, and we ask for wisdom and for strength to uphold President Trump as he takes the next steps needed to protect our land. Thank You, Lord, amen.

"So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)

12. China hits 128 U.S. products with steep tariffs, sparking renewed fears of trade war - Washington Times

China slapped a heavy tariff Monday on U.S. meat, fruits, wine and other products, saying it was a retaliation against President Trump's import tax on steel and aluminum. Beijing had warned the U.S. that the tariffs were coming after the Trump administration announced a regime of new tariffs, first on steel and aluminum and then on Chinese high-tech.

China's Ministry of Commerce said the U.S. had "seriously violated" the principles of non-discrimination under World Trade Organization rules. It said the U.S. also had damaged China's interests. "China's suspension of some of its obligations to the United States is its legitimate right as a member of the World Trade Organization," the ministry said in a statement.

Beijing, which has insisted it wants to avoid a trade war, also called for more negotiations to resolve disputes between the world's two largest economies. (Read more)

- Lord, as the fear of an out and out trade war rose in this action, we pray that everything will be worked out to the benefit of Americans. China has for so many years taken advantage of us that we ask for Your intervention to make everything eventually work out in a way that is fair to all . . .

"So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all kings of the earth Your glory." (Psalm 102:15)

13. WW3 fears: China and India's TERRIFYING military build-up along border REVEALED - Daily Star

Chilling satellite images confirm both countries are pursuing wide-ranging buildups along four critical air bases to prepare for a "military confrontation". Images show India increasing the deployment of its premier Su-30MKI fighter jets at Bagdogra and Hasimara air bases in West Bengal.

The jets will soon be capable of striking land targets with the advanced BrahMos - the fastest supersonic cruise missile in the world.

An "even greater level of activity" was visible of the Chinese air bases near Lhasa and Shigatse, according to US geopolitical intelligence company Stratfor. (Read more)

- Lord we pray against any actions of China that would bring about WWIII. We bind up their actions and speak to them saying, "Cease and desist!"

"I said, 'This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!'" (Job 38:11)

Prophetic exhortation to never give up

[And a footnote from CHPP!]

As we look at the current events in our country and around the world, there is so much in the news that is discouraging--that indicates America continues on its vector away from the Lord. Some say they are just waiting for the rapture. They want to go home. Others are discouraged that what they are doing has no impact. In any case, you must understand that we as Christians have a mission and a purpose. I have been writing The Daily Jot for going on 17 years. The state of the world has steadily declined and will continue to do so. Followers of Christ, take heart. We are to overcome evil with good and not grow weary in doing it.

Every phone call you make. Every letter you write. Every email you send. Every word you speak. Be encouraged. The Lord said in Isaiah 55:10-12, "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."

Neither be offended. The Lord says in Ezekiel 3:17-19, "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and you give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul." No matter how long, no matter how difficult things become, do what the Lord tells you to do. As you do these things unto the Lord, you have made a transfer, so to speak, from yourself to others. It is now on them to act responsibly with the information. You have done your part.

God sent his only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins that we might have life everlasting. It's up to us to share the many facets of living out our salvation. 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 exhorts: "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." Keep going. Keep doing. You never know when your action may be that last full measure needed to advance God's plan. Never give up.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

> > > A footnote from the editor: As a means of being encouraged in this dark time, may we recommend going to the movies this week and seeing "Paul, the Apostle of Christ?"

WOW.

We took time out on Resurrection Sunday night to do just that . . . and we have since encountered a glorious, a life-changing experience!

Be encouraged, saints of God!

LOVE is the way!

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

Amen!

Deadly march against Israel

The ancient prophet Zechariah wrote a prophecy from the Lord: "I will make Jerusalem a cup that will stagger the surrounding peoples...When that day comes, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who try to lift it will hurt themselves, and all the earth's nations will be massed against her." This prophecy taken directly from the Hebrew translation speaks of the Day of the Lord, but a type and shadow of this prophecy is playing out before our very eyes in Israel as "Palestinian" forces amass on Israel's borders with Gaza. Interestingly enough, the headlines were very similar exactly six years ago today when the Arab world began a Global March on Jerusalem.

March 30, 2012: The organizers of the Global March on Jerusalem said it would be peaceful. They knew full well, however, that Israel would not let them cross the borders from the nations surrounding Israel. It is reported that tens of thousands of Islamists were flown in from Iran and Indonesia and were trained by Hezbollah and other terrorist groups for this "peaceful" March. Already, the Facebook page for the march shows images of anti-Israel and anti-American protesters throwing and burning things to protest what Islam believes is an occupation of Arab land. One caption on Facebook read "Within the events of the World March towards Jerusalem. Thousands of Indians participated in the walk and burn the Zionist flag."

In 2012, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, India, Iran, Indonesia, Egypt, and more were participating in the event that coincides with the annual protest of what the terrorists believe to be Israeli "occupation." Today, the Great March of Return was organized by the terrorist group Hamas and is using Gaza as a staging ground to move against Israel. This violent act in the name of peace coincides with "Land Day," which Arabs believe is the right of return of "Palestinians" to Israel. Of course, these Arabs schedule these land grab protests during the Jewish holy celebration of Passover when God led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and eventually settled them in the land promised to Abraham and his decedents, where today's Israel is located.

In 2012, Debkafile reported Israel forces opened fire to halt "Palestinian" demonstrators marching on the Gaza-Israeli border and crossings. Today, YNET News reports that Israeli forces opened fire to halt "Palestinian" demonstrators marching on the Gaza-Israel border and crossings. Six years ago around 20,000 Palestinians were reportedly marching toward the Israeli border. Today, it was reported that 17,000 "Palestinians" were marching toward the Israeli border. We can see that each year about the same things happen on the same days. The traditional enemies of Israel simulating an end time attack. While this is not the fulfillment of the Zechariah prophecy, it is a very real demonstration of how it can quickly play out.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Classic Hymns

Because He Lives

"He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said." (Matthew 28:6)

Lyrics

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus He came to love, heal, and forgive. He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, All fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby, And feel the pride and joy he gives. But greater still the calm assurance, This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, All fear is gone. Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river, I'll fight life's final war with pain. And then as death gives way to victory, I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, All fear is gone! Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living just because He lives!

Signs and Wonders

BLUE MOONLIGHT MIXES WITH AURORAS

Some photographers say there's nothing better than a mixture of auroras and moonlight to produce a gorgeous shot. Photographer Chris Hodges suggests adding one more ingredient--a snow-capped fjord:

"I was in Norway on March 31st, visiting the Isle of Senja just north of the Lofotens," he says. "The auroras dancing through the moonlit sky were unexpectedly beautiful--and having the Blue Moon light up the landscape really added to the beauty of the fjords."

The auroras were caused by a stream of solar wind brushing against Earth's magnetic field. The gaseous material came from a northern hole in the sun's atmosphere. Next weekend, April 8th, another stream of solar wind is expected reach Earth, hitting our planet more squarely. Once again the fjords of Norway will be illuminated by a mix of moonlight and auroras--perhaps for the last time this season as Arctic night wanes with the unfolding of Spring. Stay tuned. (Read more)

The Good News Corner

This Orthodox Jew Dreamed of Jesus and was Miraculously Healed and Forgiven

"I lay down and slept for 48 hours! Later I slept for three days. I told the incredulous psychiatrist that Yeshua had healed me-and the test results showed a 98% recovery of the brain. I cried out to Yeshua, 'I'm yours!' and was released four months later." -Yonatan Perry

Having turned away from God when his father died on his return from army duty and the local rabbi offered him little comfort, he subsequently felt empty.

So when handed a card with The Lord's Prayer on a bus, he decided to pray the prayer. "My body began to shake; I even felt like crying," he told the March issue of the Maoz Israel Report. He searched the net, which took him to a 'Messianic' website, but when he discovered it was about Yeshua (Jesus), he rejected this option as he didn't want to be a 'Christian'.

Then war broke out in Gaza and, as a reservist, he was called to the front lines. While on guard duty, he noticed his shoelace had come undone and, as he stooped down to tie it, a bullet brushed through his hair!
Shaken to the core, he realized a 'Higher Power' had saved his life. And later, during a troubled sleep, he dreamed of a Man in a white robe who held out His hand to him, saying: "Son, your sins are forgiven. Go from here." (Breaking Christian News) Read more.

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
Friends may participate by receiving our daily prayer alerts. You may contact us at chpp1994@gmail.com for more information. CHPP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
