On Thursday, first lady Melania Trump continued, in a more than 60-year first lady tradition, visiting Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC.

On her way to the hospital, Mrs. Trump asked for prayers for those struggling with health issues:

The first lady toured the neuroscience center where she visited with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.

Patients Alena Sydnor, 25, and Damian Contreras, 7, guided Mrs. Trump to the hospital's main atrium where she was joined on a stage by Santa Claus.

Trump took questions from the children, answering that her favorite Christmas song is "Oh, Holy Night." (Breitbart)

1. Rockets fired from Gaza towards Ashkelon - Israel National News

The "Red Alert" incoming rocket siren was heard on Monday evening at around 11:30 p.m. in Ashkelon and in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.

Locals reported to Arutz Sheva that they heard sounds of explosions of rockets that had been fired from Gaza towards the area.

Two rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. No physical injuries or damages were reported.

2. IDF attacks Hamas targets in Gaza- Israel National News

The IDF on Monday night attacked positions belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in northern Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said.

The attacks, which were carried out using tanks and aircraft, were in retaliation for the rocket fire on Ashkelon earlier.

"The IDF considers the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for what is happening in Gaza," said the IDF statement.

Rocket sirens were heard in the Ashkelon and Hof Ashkelon regions in southern Israel on Monday evening at around 11:30.

3. Guatemalan lawmakers ask their president to move embassy to Jerusalem - JNS.org

(Israel Hayom/Exclusive to JNS) Ten representatives from the Guatemalan Congress sent a letter to President Jimmy Morales last Friday asking him to relocate the country's embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The letter was also delivered to Member of Knesset Haim Jelin (Yesh Atid), who along with MK Yifat Shasha-Biton (Kulanu) visited Guatemala last week as part of an Israeli legislative delegation to the Central American country.

The Guatemalan lawmakers' letter followed a report in the Spanish-language Aurora Digital website on Sunday that Guatemala's Integration Director Sandra Hovel had expressed the country's support for President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Speaking at a meeting of Latin American foreign ministers, Hovel called Guatemala "an ally of the state of Israel."

4. Ahead of mass deportations, Knesset toughens restrictions on migrants -Times of Israel

The Knesset on Monday voted to toughen restrictions on illegal migrants and shutter the Holot detention facilities in southern Israel in three months' time, underlining the government's commitment to planned mass deportations of African migrants to Rwanda and Uganda.

The plan, introduced by Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, cleared in second and third readings with 72 MKs in favor and 41 opposed.

As a result of the plan and closing the facilities,"the infiltrators will have the option to be imprisoned or leave the country," the Public Security Ministry said last month, upon unveiling the proposal.

5. Report: Second Swedish synagogue firebombed - Jerusalem Post

After a synagogue was firebombed in the Swedish city of Gothenburg on Saturday, Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported Monday that a second synagogue had been targeted in Malmo. According to the report, two firebombs were found at the site and had burned out on the spot. No injuries were reported. Police were investigating the incident as a suspected hate crime, according to Aftonbladet.

Sveriges Radio reported that on Friday, demonstrators at a rally in Malmo against the US declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of Jerusalem chanted: "We have announced the intifada from Malmö. We want our freedom back, and we will shoot the Jews."

6. Celebrating 100 Years of Jewish Revival and the 'Return of Christian Rule' in Jerusalem - Breaking Israel News

One century ago, on December 9, 1917, the first night of Hanukkah and two weeks before Christmas, the British Imperial Army entered Jerusalem under the command of General Edmund Allenby. Two days later, Ottoman Jerusalem fell to the British in an event often deemed a "Hanukkah and Christmas miracle." The event ushered in a new era in the history of Jerusalem - for Jews, the beginning of the fulfillment of a Biblical promise of Jewish revival and sovereignty over their holy land; for Christians, a return of Christian rule for the first time since the fall of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem.

It was Allenby's establishment of British rule over Jerusalem that eventually led to the founding of the State of Israel under the British Mandate.

"Jerusalem became a holy city again," explained Dr. Nirit Shalev-Khalifa, a curator of the Tower of David Museum's special exhibit commemorating General Allenby. To honor the centennial of the event, the museum featured a festive reenactment and opened a new exhibition at the museum.
The show reenacted the moment when, just a little more than a month after the Balfour Declaration was signed, on December 11, 1917, General Allenby stood on the steps of the Tower of David, proclaimed British marital law, and accepted the keys to Jerusalem along with Major General Shea.

Allenby's proclamation, which was issued in seven languages, promised a different world with new values and order following Jerusalem's thousands of years of crisis, as well as epidemics and famine inflicted during the Great War. British military law provided Jerusalemites with supplies of food and water, established the collection of taxes, renewed postal service, and introduced British coinage. (Read more)

1. Port Authority explosion: Suspect ID'd in 'attempted terrorist attack' - Fox News

A Bangladeshi man reportedly inspired by ISIS set off a pipe bomb inside New York's Port Authority bus terminal during rush hour Monday morning, sowing mass chaos but causing few injuries -- likely because the "attempted terrorist" detonated his "low-tech device" prematurely. Akayed Ullah, 27, set off the "effectively low-tech device" in a subway passageway just before 7:30 a.m., New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a news conference. Ullah, who lived in Brooklyn, suffered burns and wounds to his abdomen and hands and appeared to be the only person seriously injured in the pipe bomb explosion, authorities said.

At least three other people suffered minor injuries, including ringing in the ears and headaches. They are in stable condition and expected to be released later Monday, the hospital said in a statement to Fox News. (Read more)

2. Homeland warned of attack 5 days before New York subway bombing - Washington Examiner

The Homeland Security Department warned of a possible ISIS terrorist attack in the U.S. five days before today's New York City subway bombing, noting that it would likely be a hard-to-prevent lone wolf assault. "We assess there is currently an elevated threat of [homegrown] lone offender attacks by ISIS sympathizers, which is especially concerning because mobilized lone offenders present law enforcement with limited opportunities to detect and disrupt their plots," according to Robin Taylor, acting deputy under secretary for intelligence operations at Homeland Security.

Taylor revealed the new warning during a Senate hearing last week during which he added that while ISIS and al Qaeda have been hobbled on the battlefield, they remain strong in social media and in recruiting U.S. sympathizers. (Read more)

3. Pentagon says transgender people can enlist starting in January, after court order - Fox News

The Defense Department plans to allow transgender people to enlist in the military starting Jan. 1, Pentagon officials confirmed to Fox News on Monday, after a federal court ordered the military to do so despite opposition from President Trump.

The president over the summer announced, via Twitter, a ban on transgender servicemembers. But the directive has since been challenged in the courts, and a federal judge last month said the U.S. military must accept them starting Jan. 1.

The new policy reflects growing legal pressure on the issue and the difficult hurdles the federal government would have to cross to enforce Trump's demand.

Potential transgender recruits will still have to overcome a lengthy and strict set of physical, medical and mental conditions that make it possible, though difficult, for them to join the armed services. (Read more)

4. Trump accusers band together, seek congressional probe of 'sexual misconduct' - Fox News

Three women, who previously have accused President Trump of sexual misconduct, banded together Monday to call for a congressional investigation into the president - in what could be an opening effort to shift the sexual harassment spotlight from Congress to the White House.

The women revived their allegations during a press conference and television interview in New York City. Trump has long rejected the accusations from over a dozen women who have made such claims against him, and the White House called the revived accusations "false." The three accusers spoke out Monday following high-profile resignations last week on Capitol Hill over misconduct claims.

"I ask Congress to put aside their party affiliations and ask that they investigate Trump's history of sexual misconduct," Rachel Crooks said during a press conference in New York City Monday. "If they were willing to investigate Senator Franken, I think it's only fair that they do the same for Trump." (Read more)

5. Obama Campaigners Spent $468k Against Roy Moore Through Shell Group in One Day, Total Now More Than $4M - Breitbart

Highway 31 is a shell independent expenditure group used by three secretive D.C.-based consulting firms run by former Obama campaign staffers as a vehicle to fund attacks on Roy Moore in the Alabama U.S. Senate special election. The group spent another $468,000 on credit extended by one of these firms Friday to buy a massive one-day media attack against the conservative Republican candidate.

The total spent by Highway 31 since its formation on November 6 to attack Roy Moore now exceeds $4 million, all of it funded either as an in-kind donation from these three firms founded by Obama campaign staffers or by unknown donors.

Friday's extraordinary one-day expenditures were made by a secretive Washington, DC, consulting firm with offices on K Street, Waterfront Strategies, a wholly owned subsidiary of GMMB Consulting, which was founded and is still run by former Obama campaign staffer Jim Margolis.

According to a report filed by Highway 31 with the Federal Election Commission late Saturday and signed by its treasurer, activist left-wing attorney Edward Still, a total of $374, 855 was spent by Waterfront Strategies on behalf of Highway 31 for a media buy in opposition to Roy Moore on December 8. That same day, $93,713 was spent by Waterfront Strategies on behalf of liberal Democrat Doug Jones. The total spent by Waterfront Strategies on behalf of Highway 31 on Friday for media buys, either in opposition to Roy Moore or in support of Doug Jones, was $468,569. (Read more)

- Lord, once again, the plot to derail every Christian comes to the surface. We pray that this plot will fail, that only Your will be done, and that no matter how much money anyone spends in a campaign, Your choice will be made evident.

6. Judge: Feds Can Discriminate Against Churches - WND

Gray Miller, a federal judge in Texas, has ruled that the federal government can discriminate against churches whose congregations opened their facilities to government-aid programs that assisted Hurricane Harvey victims.

The ruling was in response to request for a temporary restraining order by three churches whose facilities were damaged in the weather catastrophe. They contend they should be included in the government program designed to help nonprofit organizations restore their facilities after such a disaster, because they were integral in providing assistance.

Miller dismissed the idea that churches should be treated equally. The judge argued a U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing a Missouri church to participate in a government program to make playgrounds safer does not apply to the Texas case.

The playground, used for the church's school, is "not an 'essentially religious endeavor,'" he said. In the Texas case, he said, "the funding would be used to repair church facilities so that plaintiffs could use their facilities for their primary service, which plaintiffs admit is providing religious activities." - Lord, we pray that this ruling will be overturned as quickly as possible. These churches served food and other items to the hurricane ravaged areas of Texas. Let Your Holy Spirit work in the heart of this judge deeply to show him the truth of what he has ruled.

7. DR Congo: UN peacekeepers killed in attack in North Kivu - BBC

At least 14 UN peacekeepers have been killed and 53 wounded in an attack in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The UN's Monusco mission said the peacekeepers were attacked by suspected rebels of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in North Kivu province. Five Congolese soldiers also died.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said it was the worst attack on UN peacekeepers in recent history and amounted to a "war crime". "I want to express my outrage and utter heartbreak at last night's attack. There must be no impunity for such assaults, here or anywhere else," he said.

Eastern DR Congo has suffered years of instability with rival groups fighting for control of territory. (Read more)

8. The Middle East 'Peace Process' meme: What peace process? - Israel National News

Now that he formally has announced that the United States of America fully recognizes Jerusalem as the undisputed capital of the country of Israel, President Donald Trump once again has proven that he is the first American President since Ronald Reagan who actually fulfills campaign promises he made to the American people who elected him. And now he has fulfilled his promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the country of Israel.

So, while other experts debate the meme, let us share a secret: There is no Middle East "peace process" and there has not been a "Middle East peace process" for decades. It is a sham. (Read more)

9. North Korea pushing for biological weapons factories, analysts say - Fox News

U.S. analysts have raised concerns over North Korea's potential to pursue an industrial-scale production of biological pathogens it could use to threaten neighbors and U.S. troops, The Washington Post reported Sunday. The report, citing U.S. and Asian intelligence officials, said Pyongyang is moving forward to access machinery to use in the program and "factories that can produce microbes by the ton." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You build a shield around all US interests and allies in the region. We take authority over the spirit of death and destruction that is running North Korea and command it to stop. In Your Name, amen.

10. Ancient pagan 'gods' reappearing around U.S., world - WND

The same group that recreated the Roman triumphal arch that once welcomed travelers to the Temple of Baal is now honoring another pagan deity. The United Arab Emirates, the Italian mission to the United Nations and the Institute for Digital Archeology have re-created a statue of the goddess Athena which once stood in Palmyra, according to Breaking Israel News.

Though Athena was venerated as a goddess of reason, she was also known as "Athena Promachos," a war goddess, and the re-created statue features her holding a spear. The exhibit, titled "The Spirit In the Stone," is being hosted at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. (Read more)

The destinies of nations


A Christian American farmer once addressed the legislature, saying, "This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings...

"...There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations; and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged!... Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace, but there is no peace. The war is actually begun!...Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

These are excerpts from the speech given on March 23, 1775 by Patrick Henry. Henry understood first hand the oppression of government over religious expression. The British government and the Episcopal Church were trying to stamp out the Baptists by persecuting them--even holding them under water until they nearly drowned. Upon news of one such beating, Henry rode his horse some 50 miles to attend the trial of two pastors who were accused of preaching the gospel. During the trial, Henry interrupted and asked the court if he heard it right that these men were on trial for "preaching the gospel of the Son of God?" Henry was instrumental in changing the laws against religious persecution.

Christians in America were not always so concerned about themselves and their self-improvement, or paranoid about supporting their country, or arguing over extra-biblical teachings, that they didn't take seriously what was happening to them and their nation. Romans 12:21 points out to: "Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good." The fact remains as Henry said, "There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations." We are seeing in the news how one person can make a difference, and how God uses whom he chooses to express his will on earth. Let us all be open to the will of the Lord as we live our lives each day, and as Peter and the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, "We ought to obey God rather than men." We might be surprised how God will use us as he chooses in the destiny of nations and of men.

Fires Still Raging Out of Control
Southern California's Thomas Fire explodes in size, threatens new areas

Southern California's largest and most destructive wildfire exploded in size Sunday and swept into new areas, as the wind-whipped flames forced thousands more residents to flee their homes.

The powerful flare-up on the western edge of the Thomas Fire sparked new evacuations as the fire sent up giant plumes of smoke near Montecito and Carpinteria, seaside areas in Santa Barbara County about 75 miles northwest of Los Angeles that had been under fire threat for days and were now choked with smoke.

"The winds are kind of squirrely right now," said Mike Eliason, the Santa Barbara County fire spokesman. "Some places the smoke is going straight up in the air, and others it's blowing sideways. Depends on what canyon we're in."

Fire crews, with the help of a fleet of water-dropping planes and helicopters, tried to save homes as unpredictable gusts sent the blaze deeper into residential foothill areas and into unoccupied sections of Los Padres National Forest, where the state's fourth-largest fire burned a decade ago. PRAY! California Wildfires Worsening after Decimating Over 200,000 Acres; Here's How You Can Help


The vicious wildfires engulfing much of Southern California are continuing to spread, putting even more lives and homes at risk. Recent estimates indicate that around 200,000 acres of land have now been destroyed by the inferno. A widened evacuation zone has now been enforced, and it comes within just two miles of the Santa Barbara Zoo.

"The winds are kind of squirrely right now," said Santa Barbara County fire spokesman Mike Eliason. "Some places the smoke is going straight up in the air, and others it's blowing sideways. Depends on what canyon we're in."

Authorities estimate that the fires have destroyed almost 800 homes and other buildings, killed dozens of prized horses and forced more than 200,000 people to flee their homes. One death, a 70-year-old woman who crashed her car on an evacuation route, has been attributed to the fire in Santa Paula.

Dear Beloved Prayer Warriors and Friends,

Most of you have probably heard about the heavily-media-covered Senate Race here in Alabama between Republican Judge Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones. Doug Jones has Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama behind him with, rob calls, money and many defiling strategies against the righteous godly man, Judge Roy Moore. President Trump has put forth his robo call to Alabama voters in SUPPORT FOR JUDGE ROY MOORE.

There have been many 'see-through' and 'fishy' untruthful allegations made against Roy Moore in an attempt to kick him out of the Senate race and keep him from having a godly influence in Washington, D.C. Moore says he is innocent, and we believe him. He and his family have endured great hardship because of the battle that rages for this nation to turn to God.

Roy stood for God's Ten Commandments in Alabama years ago and has also stood against same sex marriages and abortions. He is a righteous leader who fears God first and foremost.

Last night Jerry and I were invited to lead a night of worship and prayer here at a local congregation (in relationship with Judge Moore) in Alabama with the intent to shift our nation to righteousness with a righteous vote for Judge Roy Moore on Tuesday, Dec. 12th. In the middle of our meeting, Roy Moore actually called in and quoted the famous passage from Ephesians about putting on the whole armor of God - and of course, we prayed for him while he was still connected by phone.

While we were still in Jerusalem we received a strong prophetic word about our season in the States. Housed within that word were these phrases: "There is a pillar of fire from heaven down to Alabama, there is an open heaven over Alabama."

We have a little more perspective now that several months have passed and we see what is at stake here in this Alabama Senate Race. We believe that God desires to use the State of Alabama to shift the nation to righteousness through this vital election coming up TOMORROW (from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Central Standard Time). The Lord is about to bring a mighty move His Spirit to our nation and we believe having Roy Moore in Washington, D.C. is a vital part of the good plan God has in store.

There is a battle raging in the spiritual realm concerning this Senate Race voted on by Alabamians tomorrow - December 12th. Would you please join Jerry and I and a host of other believers here in Alabama in agreeing prayer for God's will to be done and His Kingdom to come in this election?

1. We declare Alabama will vote according to the Word and revealed will of God

2. We declare that there will be no tampering with the voting system that will succeed

3. We declare NO coercion or bribery to vote for an unrighteous candidate

4. We declare that no weapon formed against God's child, Roy Moore, will prevail and every tongue that rises up against him will be shown to be in the wrong

5. We declare a righteous shift in our nation, in Washington, D.C.

6. We declare 'light' be released in Alabama and all across our land (when God said 'let there be light' - there was 'light!')

Strong and shallow M6.1 earthquake hits Micronesia, 3rd M6+ within 48 hours


The USGS has reported a strong and shallow 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit 49km NW of Fais, State of Yap, Micronesia on December 9, 2017 at a 10.0 km depth.

This quake is the third M6.0+ earthquake to hit this region within the last 48 hours. A 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck Micronesia on Friday, December 8, which was followed 9 hours later by an earthquake of 6.4 magnitude 50 km from Fais. (USGS) Read more.

After More Than 20 Years: Egyptian Churches Finally Allowed to Rebuild


[CBN News] After waiting more than two decades, churches in Egypt finally are allowed to rebuild their houses of worship, according to World Watch Monitor. In the southern rural part of the country, in an area known as the Minya governorate, the governor gave 21 churches the green light to rebuild and expand. Some analysts point to the fact that the permits came before several visits by international delegations of evangelicals to Cairo. Evangelical leaders met Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, taking part in events celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in November.

CBN News reported that a delegation of American evangelicals met evangelical leaders in Egypt. In a recent article, the president of the Family Research Council, Tony Perkins, along with his staff, wrote, "...President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is doing his best to reassure his people that Egypt won't back down from its promise to come to the aid of faith communities. The decision is an about-face in some areas, where churches had been closed to help 'ease tensions' with Muslims." (Breaking Christian News) Read more.
