4. Delaware becomes eleventh state to approve same-sex marriage - CNN
Delaware became the eleventh state in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage Tuesday after the State Senate approved the measure and the state's governor signed it into law.
- Father, we are so broken at the seemingly unstoppable march toward approval of same-sex marriage. While You have commanded us to love the sinner, our nation should not be condoning the sins of the people. We pray for mercy, repentance, and the turning of this tide.

Several members of the conspiracy, including two leaders, were arrested, preventing the group from carrying out its plans. According to the Shabak, the group was preparing to carry out several types of attacks, including setting bombs, kidnapping soldiers or residents, and the manufacturing of rockets and missiles.
- Father, we praise the holy faithfulness of the Lord God of Israel who revealed the things that were hidden and stood over Israel with Your mighty power of protection by preventing this major attack. You sent out Your light and Your truth and unveiled the darkness of the enemy. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name.
- "Blessed is He who wisely acts toward the poor in the evil day. Jehovah will deliver him and Jehovah will watch over him and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth and You will not deliver him to the soul of his enemies." (Psalm 41:1-2)

1. The mass exodus of Christians from the Muslim world - Fox News
A mass exodus of Christians is currently underway. Millions of Christians are being displaced from one end of the Islamic world to the other.
We are reliving the true history of how the Islamic world, much of which prior to the Islamic conquests was almost entirely Christian, came into being.
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently said: "The flight of Christians out of the region is unprecedented and it's increasing year by year." In our lifetime alone "Christians might disappear altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt." Read more.
2. Escalating Violence Against Christians in Tanzania Raises Many Concerns- Christian Today

THE MADISONIAN
The Legislative Bulletin for Conservatives
Week of May 6 - 10, 2013
Immigration
Just two weeks after releasing the 844-page amnesty bill (S.744), which was written behind closed doors, the Senate Judiciary Committee will begin a marathon markup of the bill this Thursday. The Senate Homeland Security Committee will also hold a hearing on the border security aspects (or lack thereof) of the bill. In addition to forcing this super-complex legislation down the throats of Republican members so quickly, the drafters of the bill plan to introduce a 350-page managers' amendment. Taken as a whole, Republican members on the committee, most of whom were shut out of the entire process, are flummoxed and struggling to understand the ramification of this bill, let alone any new amendments. For a detailed critique of how this bill will break our immigration system for years to come, please read this analysis by Daniel Horowitz over at the Madison Project.
Meanwhile, conservatives are now getting a handle on how many immigrants would be brought in under this bill. According to Senator Sessions, this bill would bring in 32.7 million immigrants over the next 10 years, not including the 25 million new guest workers. This is on top of our current record levels of between 1 and 1.1 million new green cards annually. The bill will essentially bring in 2 million new immigrants every year. Also, the Heritage Foundation is published a study today pegs the price tag for amnesty at $6.3 trillion when all the welfare costs associated with such a low-skilled population are factored in.
Outlook
After spending two weeks denying the flaws in the bill as laid out by conservatives, Marco Rubio is finally admitting that the bill should be changed. However, here's how we see this playing out. Republicans will offer some good amendments -both in committee and on the floor - to strengthen the border triggers and limit the amnesties. Undoubtedly, Senator Rubio and most of the Republicans (and even some Democrats) will support those amendments, knowing that they will be voted down. Then, after feigning concern for our security with their show votes, these senators will ultimately vote for the final bill.
Ultimately, it's hard to see how this bill, no matter how odious the final product, will fail to get 60 votes on the floor. Almost every Democrat will vote for it along with the GOP gang members. There is very little margin for error.
The real fight will commence in the House. There is a parallel Gang of 8 in the House that is working on a very similar bill. They will add in one or two shiny objects to attract more Republican votes, but from what I've seen of the rough draft, this bill will be very similar to the Schumer/Rubio amnesty. Conservatives must work closely with the good members on the Judiciary and Homeland Security committees in an effort to block any mass amnesty bill, while focusing on national security, enforcement, and targeted legal immigration reforms.
What's Next On Benghazi?

What's Next On Benghazi?
Yesterday's Benghazi hearing was extraordinary, but you wouldn't know it if you depended on Big Media. Major networks like CNN and MSNBC did not cover yesterday's whistle-blower testimony on the Benghazi scandal. Instead they chose to follow Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, who were held captive in an Ohio home for ten years, as they returned to their families.
In contrast, Fox News covered the vast majority of Benghazi hearing. Also today's Washington Post had a relatively balanced story, noting that the witnesses "provided a riveting, emotional account of last year's fatal attack" and "accused senior government officials of withholding embarrassing facts."
Are Obama and Hillary in real trouble? It's too early to know for sure. The fact that some of the witnesses appeared to contradict Hillary Clinton's testimony does not by itself prove that Hillary committed perjury. You have to prove that she intentionally lied using sources other than someone else's statements.
That said, I continue to believe the Benghazi scandal has legs and that more disclosures are forthcoming. At a press conference today House Speaker John Boehner called on the Obama White House to release more information on Benghazi. Referring specifically to an email to the Libyan ambassador, Boehner said:
"I hope you all tuned in to yesterday's hearing on the tragedy in Benghazi. We learned that on September 12 -- the day after the attacks and four days before Susan Rice's TV appearances -- a senior State Department official emailed her superiors to relay that . . . she had told the Libyan Ambassador that the attack was conducted by Islamic terrorists.
"The State Department would not allow our committees to keep copies of this email when it was reviewed. And I would call on the president to order the State Department to release this email so that the American people can see it."
During an interview this morning, Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) said, "Having sat on the Intelligence Committee and seen the review of emails that went back and forth as they developed the list, there is a glaring problem there that will eventually come out." Stay tuned! (Gary Bauer)
Democrats Duck Gosnell Debate

Democrats Duck Gosnell Debate
Kudos to Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). The liberal media may not want to talk about Kermit Gosnell, but Senator Lee is forcing Senate Democrats to confront the reality of their abortion-on-demand agenda. Lee introduced a resolution demanding an investigation and legislation to "correct abusive, unsanitary and illegal abortion practices." His resolution now has 21 co-sponsors.
When he tried to bring up his resolution, Senate Democrats objected. Lee said, "It is difficult to imagine why anyone would object . . . The resolution is simply an affirmation that we as a country -- a moral and compassionate society -- have an interest in acting to save the lives of innocent women and children, and to prevent these kinds of heinous acts from happening to anyone again."
Senator Lee is right. This is a debate the country should have, and I encourage him to bring up his resolution again and again and again, each time exposing the pro-abortion extremism of Senate Democrats. (Gary Bauer)

National Day of Prayer 2013:
A Summary Report
Source: John Bornschein, Vice Chairman, National Day of Prayer Task Force, " America Mobilized in Prayer"
Reported by Rev. Pierre Bynum, Family Research Council
Dear Praying Friends, Here is a great report regarding last Thursday's nationwide observance of the National Day of Prayer! To God be the glory!
All 50 Governors and the President of the United States proclaimed the 62nd annual National Day of Prayer as millions of Americans gathered from coast to coast in solemn assembly. It was the single, largest mobilized effort to prayer in the history of our nation with more than 42,000 events taking place at courthouse steps, parks, offices, government buildings, churches and homes symbolizing a single prayer - one voice - one cry - for such a time as this.
Stadiums were filled from Pennsylvania to Minnesota with shouts of prayer and adoration. Parades, motorcycle rallies, hot air balloon launches and more were parts of the celebration. In Washington D.C., the day was marked by standing room only events with extended lines . . . "Revive us again" was the popular theme of the season as millions united in prayer.
Revival is not new - God has always intervened trying to get us out of our stagnation and apathy. The Old Testament is a history of revival. In fact, one scholar indicated 7 major revival periods with over 16 clear cultural moves of God during that time. . .
Following the church from the 14th century throughout modern times, we can document 54 revivals according to many theological sources. In the United States we have seen 3 great times of revival . . .
Evidence that God is calling his people to revival is overwhelming... The formula is written for us clearly in II Chronicles 7:14 and God's people are responding . . . He has called his church to: 1) Return to Him with humility; 2) Pray unceasingly; 3) Seek His face unconditionally; 4) Turn from our wicked ways; 5) Live in unity: 6) Persevere until His return!
Many will watch the headlines to see if there is instant change in America as a result of this massive public outcry. What we must remember is that God will respond in His timing. Our prayers will not go unanswered. Like the disciples who waited 50 days for the promise of Christ to be fulfilled on Pentecost, we must be patient and remain mobilized and confident that the prayers of His people are powerful and effective. Generations not yet born will praise the Lord (Ps 102:18).
May God bless America yet once more!
- Thanks be to God for the NDP, the tireless labors of the NDP Task Force, and for this great report which offers hope to the prayer movement and America! We are troubled on every side, yet praise God for the growing number of men, women, boys and girls who are crying out to God in repentance for revival! Leaning on the Lord, may we build on the faith and prayer of the National Day of Prayer! God is our HOPE!
- "This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord." (Psalm 102:18)
