1. Thousands riot along Gaza border - Israel National News
Thousands of Palestinian Arabs rioted on Friday along the security fence with Gaza, hurling several firebombs and IEDs. No injuries to IDF soldiers were reported.
In addition, several suspects crossed into Israel and then immediately retreated to the Gaza Strip.
IDF troops responded with riot dispersal means and fired according to standard operating procedures, said the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza claimed that two Palestinian Arabs had been shot dead while taking part in protests along the Gaza.
It said that both men were shot in the head, according to the AFP.

2. PA Chairman: Deal between Hamas, Israel, must include us - Israel National News
Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday slammed the Egyptian proposal for peace between Hamas and Israel, saying that either Hamas or the PA must control Gaza, Judea, and Samaria.
The Egyptian-brokered deal between Israel and Hamas is expected to include improvement in the humanitarian conditions in Gaza, as well as the construction of a seaport in the Egyptian city of Ismailia and an airport in Sinai.
Speaking at a meeting of Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Central Council, Abbas said, "There is no state in Gaza nor an autonomy in the West Bank, and we will not accept this."
"We will not allow the separation of Gaza [from the West Bank]. Either we [the PA] are in power in Gaza and the West Bank - one country, one system, one law, one weapon - or they [Hamas] are in power."

3. 'Not cannon fodder': South Israel residents march to demand quiet on Gaza border - Times of Israel
More than 200 Israelis from communities along the Gaza border converged on Tel Aviv's Rabin Square Saturday evening. Protesters called on the government to act to ensure their security after months marred by rocket fire that has had them scrambling toward shelters on a regular basis, as well as incendiary kites and balloons that have torched thousands of acres of land.
Demonstrators held signs reading, "We are not cannon fodder," "We are not human shields," and "Wake up, government - the entire south is burning."
They released balloons, to highlight the arson kite and balloon attacks from Gaza that have burned 7,000 acres of southern Israeli land in recent weeks, and lay on the ground to mimic procedures when rocket attacks find them too far from shelters.

4. Defense official: Without PA, truce with Hamas will embolden terrorists- Israel Hayom
The head of Israel's domestic security agency warned the cabinet Thursday that excluding the Ramallah-based Palestinian Authority from a future cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas in Gaza would likely result in intensified terrorism.
According to the Hadashot evening news, Shin Bet security agency Director Nadav Argaman has warned the members of the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet that pursuing cease-fire negotiations with Gaza's rulers without involving Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas "would embolden Hamas in the West Bank and prove to them that terrorism pays."
Hamas, an Islamist terrorist group, ousted Abbas' Western-backed government from the Gaza Strip in a military coup in 2007, effectively splitting from the Palestinian Authority. Since then, the various efforts to reconcile the rival Palestinian factions - the latest brokered by Egypt in late 2017 - have failed.
Argaman warned this week that pursuing a deal with Hamas without the PA's involvement "would undermine the moderates [in the PA] and prove to the Palestinians that, when dealing with Israel, only violence achieves results."

5. UN chief proposes military force to protect Palestinians from Israel - Times of Israel
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday presented four options aimed at boosting the protection of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, from sending UN rights monitors and unarmed observers to deploying a military or police force under UN mandate.
The proposals were contained in a report requested by the General Assembly in response to a surge of violence in Gaza, where 171 Palestinians have been killed during Hamas-led clashes with Israeli troops since late March. Dozens of the dead were members of Hamas and other terror groups, Hamas has acknowledged.
The UN chief stressed that for each of the options, cooperation by Israel and the Palestinians would be necessary. It remained unlikely however that Israel would agree to the proposals.

1. New Texts Reveal Steele Anxious Over Comey Testimony, Hopes "Firewalls Will Hold" - Sara Carter
In March, 2017, two days before former FBI Director James Comey testified to lawmakers that the bureau had an open counterintelligence investigation into President Trump's campaign, former British spy Christopher Steele sent an urgent message to Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr hoping that "important firewalls will hold" when Comey testified. Ohr was demoted twice by the Department of Justice for not disclosing that his wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS, the now-embattled research firm which paid Steele for the documents. Ohr has been deposed for questioning by the House Judiciary Committee and is expected to speak to lawmakers behind closed doors on Aug. 28.
The exchange raises questions, according to a government source who asked, "What did Steele mean by important firewalls before Comey testimony? And what did Ohr mean by earlier information he provided?" The source noted that the 'firewall' statement seemed raise similar questions posed by lawmakers after (now-fired) FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok sent the infamous "insurance policy" texts to his paramour, former FBI Attorney Lisa Page. 2. DOJ's Bruce Ohr wrote Christopher Steele was 'very concerned about Comey's firing -- afraid they will be exposed' - Fox News
A collection of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr's emails, texts and handwritten notes, reviewed by Fox News, reveals that he was deeply connected to the unverified Steele dossier as well as its author and, during the presidential election campaign, the alleged government surveillance abuses involving a Trump campaign official.
The Ohr documents shed more light on Steele's activities before the presidential election. While Steele shopped the dossier to multiple media outlets, he also appeared to ask Ohr for help with a Russian oligarch -- Oleg Deripaska -- after rumors the U.S. might impose sanctions. After the FBI dropped Steele as a source in November 2016 over his contacts with the media, the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee found that Steele had maintained contact with government officials by effectively using Ohr as a back channel.
During closed-door congressional testimony last year, the co-founder of Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, claimed he had no contact with Ohr until after the presidential election. But Ohr's work emails conflict with Simpson's testimony, and show contact months earlier. (Read more)

3. Trump 'suspects' he will revoke Bruce Ohr's security clearance - Washington Examiner
President Trump said Friday that he may take away the security clearance of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, whose wife worked for the firm that commissioned an opposition research dossier on then-candidate Trump. "I think Bruce Ohr is a disgrace. I suspect I'll be taking it away very quickly," Trump told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.
Trump said Friday that he believed Steele's links to Russians, and Ohr's conduct, should be the subject of greater scrutiny. "They should be looking at Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie for dealing with by the way indirectly with the Russians," he said. "They should be looking at Steele. They should be looking at all these FBI guys who got fired and demoted. It's not us, it's a rigged witch hunt."
Trump previously denounced Ohr, writing on Twitter last week: "The big story that the Fake News Media refuses to report is lowlife Christopher Steele's many meetings with Deputy A.G. Bruce Ohr and his beautiful wife, Nelly. It was Fusion GPS that hired Steele to write the phony & discredited Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary & the DNC." (Read more)

4. The Weekly Standard's Ties to Fusion GPS - American Greatness
In his online appeal for money after being fired this week, disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok credited an unlikely source to vouch for his victim status: The Weekly Standard. At one time a leading conservative magazine, the Standard declared last month that Strzok's plight was merely an "overwrought tale of bias" and the case against him is "just sound and fury." The article brushed off Strzok's actions as "several bad judgment calls" and blasted Congressional Republicans for continuing a criminal investigation into the now-unemployed G-man.
So, what's with the fanboying between the Standard-an allegedly serious publication dedicated to advancing conservative principles-and a corrupt government bureaucrat who embodies everything the conservative movement fought against for decades?
I found an article in the Standard archives this week that might explain why. On July 24, 2016, just days before Strzok helped launch a counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign, Kristol gave Strzok and the Obama Justice Department a big assist from the anti-Trump Right by posting a flawed and questionably-sourced article. "Putin's Party" is compelling evidence that Kristol and the Standard were far from mere sideline observers as the Trump-Russia collusion scam took shape in the summer of 2016.
At the very least, the timing of the article suggests there was careful coordination between the central players-including the Hillary Clinton campaign-and Bill Kristol to derail Trump's candidacy just weeks before the election. A few hours after the Standard piece went online, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook reinforced Kristol's message in an interview on CNN. (Read more)

5. Senator Rand Paul Thinks Julian Assange Should Be Granted Immunity for Testimony - Gateway Pundit
Senator Rand Paul believes that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange should be given immunity in exchange for him testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Speaking to the Gateway Pundit, Senator Paul asserted that Assange likely has important information about the hack and that it's unlikely he would agree to testify without immunity.
In a letter delivered to the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where Assange has resided for the past six years, Committee Chairman Senator Richard Burr requested that he make himself available for a closed hearing at a "mutually agreeable time and place."
The committee has requested for him to appear in person, but Assange, in theory, could testify through the use of a video livestream. The only technical hindrance would be the fact that the Ecuadorian government cut off Assange's internet and communications in March, under pressure from the US government.
Both Senator Paul's father Ron Paul and the senator's Chief Strategist Doug Stafford signed an open letter published by the Gateway Pundit in April calling for Assange's communications to be restored, for the United States to end the Grand Jury investigation into WikiLeaks, and for any charges against the publisher and all other staff members to be dropped. 6. Manafort's Judge Is Under Federal Protection After Wave Of Threats - Daily Caller
Judge T.S. Ellis III revealed in open court Friday that he has received death threats relating to his presiding over Paul Manafort's trial for bank and tax fraud at a federal court in Alexandria, Virginia. The judge has since retained the protection of the U.S. Marshals Service. "I have the marshal's protection," Ellis said. "I don't even go to the hotel alone. I won't even reveal the name of the hotel."
Ellis made the comments after a coalition of news organizations - including The Washington Post, The New York Times, the Associated Press, CNN, NBC, Politico and BuzzFeed - requested the names and addresses of jurors seated for Manafort's case. "There is no reason to believe that extraordinary circumstances exist that would justify keeping jurors' names sealed - particularly after they have rendered their verdict," their motion reads. But Ellis disagreed, and rejected the motion for fear the jurors would be subject to the same harassment he has received.
On Friday afternoon, the jury sent a note to the judge indicating they had not yet reached a verdict and hoped to adjourn for the day. Manafort is on trial for 18 counts of fraud. Given the penalties for the charged offenses, the former Trump campaign chairman faces decades in prison if convicted. At 69, a conviction would effectively be a life sentence. (Read more)

7. Whistleblower makes shocking IRS, insider trading allegations - New York Post
A whistleblower made this shocking allegation to me last week: the IRS was tipping off members of Congress to corporate takeovers so the elected officials could profit from insider trading. My snitch also charged that higher-level employees of the IRS also used that information to enrich themselves.
This may sound crazy but remember: Up until a few years ago members of Congress were allowed to trade stock based on information they got while performing their public duties. Everyone assumed that members of Congress were just profiting from things they happened to learn while working on their committees - that a drug was going to get turned down by the FDA, for instance, or that a company was sniffing around to see how regulators would feel about a merger.
There's something you need to understand. The IRS places its workers permanently inside many companies where they continually receive privileged information while doing audits. So there's plenty of money-making tips to go around. The whistleblower said a lot of people got rich from the scheme he was describing. (Read more)

8. Facebook Censors Prager U. Videos And Shadow Bans Posts - Daily Caller
Facebook is censoring PragerU videos for violating its speech codes that prohibit so-called "hate speech" and shadow banning its posts, PragerU wrote on Twitter Friday.
"We're being heavily censored on @Facebook. Our last 9 posts are reaching 0 of our 3 million followers. At least two videos were deleted last night for 'hate speech' including our recent video with @ConservativeMillen," PragerU tweeted.
The official PragerU Facebook page is still up on Facebook at the time of publication. Its Facebook page reposts the same videos consistently and others can still be found on the page. However, it appears that one specific PragerU social media administrator - the one who posted the videos that Facebook considered violated its "hate speech" policies - is unable to post on behalf of Prager U., resulting only other PragerU. administrators being able to see the post. No one else can see the posts.
One of the deleted videos, titled, "Where Are the Moderate Muslims?" was most likely posted on Facebook on Thursday. The presenter, Hussein Aboubakr, states that when he was growing up, his teacher and his Imam were happy when they heard about the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11. At end of the video, Aboubakr pleads for moderate Muslims to reform the religion around the world. (Read more)

9. Iranian-Backed 'Sleeper Cell' Militants Hibernating in U.S., Positioned for Attack - Free Beacon
Iranian-backed militants are operating across the United States mostly unfettered, raising concerns in Congress and among regional experts that these "sleeper cell" agents are poised to launch a large-scale attack on the American homeland, according to testimony before lawmakers.
Iranian agents tied to the terror group Hezbollah have already been discovered in the United States plotting attacks, giving rise to fears that Tehran could order a strike inside America should tensions between the Trump administration and Islamic Republic reach a boiling point.
There is mounting evidence that Iran poses "a direct threat to the homeland," according to Rep. Peter King (R., N.Y.), a member of the House Homeland Security Committee and chair of its subcommittee on counterterrorism and intelligence. A chief concern is "Iranian support for Hezbollah, which is active in the Middle East, Latin America, and here in the U.S., where Hezbollah operatives have been arrested for activities conducted in our own country," King said, referring the recent arrest of two individuals plotting terror attacks in New York City and Michigan. 10. Pentagon warns China training for strikes on US targets - Fox News
The Pentagon warned in a startling new report that China is likely training for bombing strikes against U.S. targets, while developing its nuclear capabilities. The revelations come in the Pentagon's 2018 report to Congress on "Military and Security Developments Involving the People's Republic of China" which focuses on developments in 2017. Overall, the report found that China wants to leverage its economic, diplomatic and strategic strength to "establish regional preeminence and expand the country's international influence."
The report also found that China is advancing "an ambitious agenda of military modernization and organizational reforms." Part of that involves the PLA's Air Force being reassigned a nuclear mission, which would "provide China with a nuclear 'triad' of delivery systems dispersed across land, sea, and air."
Tensions have been rising between China and the U.S. for months amid an escalating trade war between the two countries. The Trump administration is also mulling a Space Force in order to counter threats in space from countries including China. The new report said that China's space program "continues to mature rapidly" and is also developing counterspace capabilities to "degrade and deny adversary use of space-based assets during a crisis or conflict." Lo the poor journalists
Some 350 news outlets did editorials protesting how President Donald Trump has declared a war on them. They are couching it in "defending freedom of the press." All fine and dandy, but Trump has never suggested curbing freedom of the press. It's a non-issue, a genuine non-starter. Being that the Boston Globe organized this so-called protest, and that so many news outlets quickly joined it, demonstrates exactly what Trump has been saying all along-that the mainstream media is biased, runs with fake news, and by not telling the truth, is an enemy of the people. They created an opportunity to bash Trump on the same topic across all of America. This, in of itself, is an example of fake news.
Here they are writing and airing "editorials" about how Trump is a tyrant for characterizing the mainstream news media as an enemy to the people. I challenge anyone to tell me, or your family or your neighbors, the difference in what they said Thursday about Trump and what they have been saying all along. They have been running a constant editorial against this man since before he was elected. Over 90% of their stories have been negative toward the President-even those stories about the good things he has accomplished-progress on North Korea, bringing companies back to America, the lowest unemployment rate in decades, the lowest Black unemployment rate in modern history, and the list goes on-they characterize in a negative register.
In my quarter, there is no sympathy for the mainstream media. They cannot put aside their political intolerance and ideological bigotry long enough to report the news straightaway. They ignore the plain truth before their very eyes while taking every opportunity to advance their progressive communist global agenda through the words they use. Antifa can go violent, even beating up so-called journalists, but it's OK because their intent is to attack right wing extremists. To these "journalists," right wing extremists are anyone who isn't liberal-especially Christians, gun owners, the non-college educated, and those who want to live in a country with secure borders and is terrorist-free.
So lo, the poor journalists. The president doesn't like them. The American people don't trust them. They are like spoiled children who think they should be able to say and do whatever they want without consequence. My advice to them is to have some introspect rather than lash out. They have been traveling down the slippery slope of entertainment and opinions disguised as news for so long, they have lost their way on identifying truth and facts. Oh, they think they are telling the truth, but they are so far from it. They mock God in their untruthful writings and whisperings. They see lies as truth. As Proverbs 14:5 says, "A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness will utter lies." Lo, the poor journalists.

Mysterious giant shark tracked by satellites, rare sightings
A basking shark's enormous silhouette, rarely seen in oceans worldwide, is a major draw for scientists who are mapping its often mysterious migrations.
The world's second largest fish, growing to more than 35 feet, the basking shark or Cetorhinus maximus, is hunted voraciously for its massive fin.
Global populations of basking shark dropped during the 20th century and the species has struggled to recover because of slow reproduction rates.
"It's a shark that remains very mysterious," Alexandra Rohr of the research group APECS, which is based in France and dedicated to the study of sharks, skates and rays, told Channel News Asia.
Despite their size and menacing appearance, basking sharks are not aggressive and are harmless to humans.
APECS uses new tracking technology to monitor the sharks' migratory range, along with crowd-sourced information from divers, sailors and other members of the public. (Read more)

(Dawsonville, GA) During Christ Fellowship's 21-day fast in January, Pastor Todd Smith said God gave him a vision of the church's baptistry. The baptism pool was full, and there was a strip of fire on top of the water.
Shortly after, Smith says, God "Sat down in our building and rocked our world." And, revival and the manifest presence of God has been evident ever since in the small charismatic church in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Physical healings, deliverance and more than 500 baptisms have taken place during Sunday-night services at Christ Fellowship for the past six months. Smith says people have come from hundreds of miles to "walk into that water and feel the presence of the Lord."
"And that's what it is all about, the hunger just to feel God's presence," says Smith, who has pastored Christ Fellowship for eight years. "People want to be healed, and they want to be whole. God spoke to me and said 'Todd, I am going to baptize people here with both water and fire.' The encounter has been so strong and so forceful that I can't articulate it." (Charisma News) Read more.

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America.
