Minister Ze'ev Elkin (Likud), a member of the Political-Security Cabinet, said on Wednesday that Israel must not cave in to pressure and cancel the security measures on the Temple Mount.

"When we take action for security reasons, we cannot fold under pressure. When I hear rumblings that this is something humiliating and therefore the Jewish and Arab residents of Jerusalem do not want to go through the magnetometers, I cannot believe it," Elkin told Arutz Sheva.

The IDF on Tuesday released two videos documenting Hezbollah operatives violating a U.N. Security Council resolution aimed at preventing the Shiite terrorist organization from maintaining a presence on the Lebanon-Israel border.

Security Council Resolution 1701, drawn up to resolve the 2006 Second Lebanon War, stipulated that only armed U.N. peacekeepers and the Lebanese army would be deployed in southern Lebanon.

In the first video, Hezbollah operatives can be seen gathering intelligence along the Lebanon-Israel border after evading UNIFIL inspectors with the help of warnings from the Lebanese army.

5. Open mic picks up what PM really thinks about EU - Jerusalem Post

The EU's policies toward Israel are "crazy" and self-defeating, Jerusalem had a "problem" with former US president Barack Obama, and the IDF has hit arms transfers to Hezbollah in Syria dozens of times, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told four European leaders in Budapest on Wednesday, during a closed meeting that was inadvertently caught by an open microphone.

"We have a peculiar situation: The European Union is the only association of countries in the world that conditions the relations with Israel - that produces technology in every area - on political conditions.

1. BREAKING NEWS - John McCain has brain tumor, hospital says - Fox News

Arizona Sen. John McCain has a brain tumor, the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix announced on Wednesday. The announcement follows a procedure that McCain, 80, had on July 14 in which he had a blood clot removed from above his left eye.

"Further consultations with Senator McCain's Mayo Clinic care team will indicate when he will return to the United States Senate," his office said in a statement. "Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot," the hospital said.

"The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation."

"John McCain is a hero to our Conference and a hero to our country," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a statement. "He has never shied from a fight and I know that he will face this challenge with the same extraordinary courage that has characterized his life. The entire Senate family's prayers are with John, Cindy and his family, his staff, and the people of Arizona he represents so well."

"We all look forward to seeing this American hero again soon," McConnell said. (Read more)

From CNN: "Senator John McCain has always been a fighter," President Donald Trump said in a statement. "Melania and I send our thoughts and prayers to Senator McCain, Cindy, and their entire family. Get well soon." Vice President Mike Pence said "Cancer picked on the wrong guy" in a tweet, adding that he and his wife, Karen, are praying for him. "McCain is a fighter & he'll win this fight too. God bless!" Former President Barack Obama, McCain's 2008 presidential campaign opponent, tweeted his support. "Cancer doesn't know what it's up against. Give it hell, John," the 44th president wrote. - Father God, none of us knew this news was coming, but You did. Lord God, we release Senator McCain to You and to Your care, Great Physician. We continue to pray for excellent and accurate diagnoses in the days ahead, as well as correct strategies of treatment to be determined. We lift up, too, Senator McCain's wife Cindy, his family, and his staff that they be comforted in this time. In Your name, amen.

- "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God." (Isaiah 40:1)

2. Trump exhorts Senate to pass Obamacare repeal - One News Now

Lecturing fellow Republicans, President Donald Trump summoned GOP senators to the White House Wednesday and told them face-to-face they must not leave town for their August recess without sending him an "Obamacare" repeal bill to sign. "I'm ready to act," Trump said, putting the responsibility on Republican senators, not himself. During last year's presidential campaign he had declared repeatedly that it would be "so easy" to get rid of the Obama law.

Emerging from the White House lunch, McConnell told reporters that the Senate would vote next week to move ahead on the straight-up repeal, and "I have every expectation that we will be able to get on the bill."

That remains to be seen. Almost as soon as that plan was unveiled it too was killed off as three GOP senators, one more than McConnell can afford to lose in the narrowly divided Senate, announced opposition. The three senators who are publicly opposed to moving forward on the repeal-only bill are Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia.

. . . what was clear Wednesday was that after promising for seven years to repeal and replace "Obamacare" - and using the issue to obtain majorities in Congress and the White House - many Republican senators are reluctant to abandon the effort, even as some acknowledge it would take a dramatic intervention to change the outcome. (Read more)

- We continue to pray in the Spirit over all matters related to the passage of a health care bill and law for our nation's citizens. In Your name, O Lord we pray, amen.

- "In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words . . ." (Romans 8:26)

3. ICE chief praises Trump, plans to send more agents to sanctuary cities - The Hill

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Thomas Homan . . . said he plans to further crack down on undocumented immigrants by sending more resources and agents to sanctuary cities . . ."In the America I grew up in, cities didn't shield people who violated the law," . . . "What I want to get is a clear understanding from everybody, from the congressmen to the politicians to law enforcement to those who enter the country illegally, that ICE is open for business."

"We're going to enforce the laws on the books without apology, we'll continue to prioritize what we do," Homan continued. "But it's not OK to violate the laws of this country anymore, you're going to be held accountable."

During his interview with the Examiner, Homan also praised the Trump administration, saying it has "taken the handcuffs off law enforcement," allowing them to address immigration more thoroughly. "You can like President Trump, not like him, like his policies, not like his policies, but one thing no one can argue with is the effect they've had," said Homan.

According to Homan, illegal border crossings have decreased by 70 percent under Trump and arrests inside the country have increased by 40 percent. The 30-year immigration agency veteran also said he has gotten a green light to hire 10,000 new immigration agents, who will work to arrest illegal criminals sheltered in sanctuary cities and elsewhere. (Read more)

- Father, we are thankful that our law enforcement is supported in doing their jobs. We praise You that illegal border crossing is down 70%, and arrests of illegal criminals are up 40%. We pray against sanctuary cities who shield people who broke the law. Thank You for safe cities across the U.S.

- "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:8)

4. Preparations Begin for Border Wall Construction - Breitbart

DHS spokesman David Lapan told reporters engineers are conducting the tests in El Paso, Texas; Santa Teresa, New Mexico; Calexico and San Diego, California; and in the Rio Grande Valley. The engineers completed testing in El Paso and Calexico, Lapan disclosed. DHS previously classified the San Diego and Rio Grande Valley Sectors as priorities for early development of President Trump's promised border walls. DHS previously classified the San Diego and Rio Grande Valley Sectors as priorities for early development of President Trump's promised border walls. The president asked for $1.6 billion for the FY 2018 budget to build walls, primarily in South Texas, Breitbart Texas reported in May.

The House Appropriations Committee approved the $1.6 billion for border wall construction in a spending bill earlier this week, the Times reported.

The president has been more narrowly defining his ideas of a series of border walls where they are necessary and would be effective border management tools. "You don't need 2,000 miles of wall because you have a lot of natural barriers," Mr. Trump told reporters in a conversation with reporters aboard Air Force One last week. "You have mountains. You have some rivers that are violent and vicious. You have some areas that are so far away that you don't really have people crossing. So you don't need that. But you'll need anywhere from 700 to 900 miles." (Read more)

- Father, we are thankful that the promised border wall is now in motion. We pray for quick construction with little to no delays. We pray favor on this measure with no obstruction from opposition groups.

- "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23:5-6)

5. Trump's First Nominee for Federal District Court Unanimously Confirmed by Senate - CNS News.com

President Donald Trump's first nominee for the U.S. District Court was unanimously confirmed on July 12 in a full Senate vote to serve the District of Idaho, according to a press release by Republican Sens. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) and James Risch (R-Idaho).

Judge David C. Nye cleared the Senate with a 97-0 vote to take Trump's third filled federal court position, following U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and 6th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Amul Thapar earlier this year.

"Judge Nye is a supremely qualified candidate for a U.S. district judge seat, having both a unanimous 'well qualified' rating from the ABA and receiving approval from the Judiciary Committee without dissent twice in under 12 months," Crapo said. (Read more)

- Father, thank You for this unanimous confirmation of Judge Nye. We pray for righteous, God-fearing judges across America.

- "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." (Proverbs 29:2)

6. Late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia Would Have Loved What President Trump is Doing to the American Judicial Landscape - Breaking Christian News

The list the president submitted would have made the late Associate Justice Antonin Scalia smile from ear-to-ear. Not only is the president seeding the federal judiciary-the future pool of prospective Supreme Court nominees-with conservatives, but he's nominating judges who come from law schools outside the Ivy League.

The prospective judges also come from states not represented by Democrats in the Senate, effectively taking the "Blue Slip" issue-whereby a home-state senator can block a judicial appointment by refusing to support it-off the table. Go here to read the list.

- Thank you, Father, once again for righteous judges across our land that are not part of the political establishment. We pray for a grassroots retaking of the land from those who are not for the good of the people but are seeking their own gain.

- "Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens." (Exodus 18:21)

7. McCain's cancer diagnosis led senators to pray together, Hoeven says - Fox News

A group of senators prayed together Wednesday night after learning that Arizona Sen. John McCain had been diagnosed with a brain tumor, according to one of the lawmakers.

Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., said he asked Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., who has a master's degree in divinity, to lead the group in prayer.

"It was very emotional," Hoeven added. The group of senators was taking part in an evening meeting to discuss health care. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that You have placed men in positions of great authority and power . . . who know that, when the time comes, we need to turn to You, our ultimate power, in prayer. Thank You that these men and women of faith are serving in the United States Senate, in Your name, amen.

- "The LORD has heard my supplication, The LORD receives my prayer." (Psalm 6:9)

8. Rep. Jeff Fortenberry: Charlie Gard granted permanent residence status - The Hill

Rep. Jeff Fortenberry said on Wednesday the House passed an amendment granting permanent residence status to a critically ill British child, Charlie Gard, and his parents to seek medical treatment.

"We just passed amendment that grants permanent resident status to #CharlieGard and family so Charlie can get the medical treatment he needs," Fortenberry tweeted.

(R-Ariz.) and Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) announced last week in a Fox News op-ed that they were proposing legislation to give Gard's parents lawful and permanent residence in the U.S. in order to obtain medical treatment for their son. (Read more)

- PRAISE THE LORD!

- (Psalm 150:1-6)

9. U.S. House rejects plan to identify the enemy - WND

"With more than 20 Republicans joining Democrats, the U.S. House of Representatives rejected an amendment that would identify the 'Islamic religious doctrines, concepts or schools of thought' that could be used by terrorist groups. The amendment, drafted by House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., was defeated Friday by a 208 to 217 vote. It called for the Pentagon to identify Islamic leaders who preach peaceful beliefs versus those who espouse extremist views, Politico reported.

Robert Spencer, the author of numerous books on Islam and the director of Jihad Watch, wrote that the bill's defeat was a demonstration of the unwillingness of Congress to confront the issue honestly. He said 'choosing denial and willful ignorance instead of knowledge of the motivating ideology of the jihadis who have vowed to destroy us' is 'just asking to be defeated.'" (Read more)

- Lord God, we repent over this vote in the House. Lord God, how can they continue to be so blind? We ask You to open the eyes of the blind, that they might see the danger that Islamic teaching poses to our people . . . everywhere. May they be given another chance to pass this bill, in Your name, amen.

- "Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped." (Isaiah 35:5)

10. Iran's Rouhani says new US sanctions violate nuclear accord - Jerusalem Post

DUBAI - President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday new US economic sanctions imposed against Iran contravened the country's nuclear accord with world powers and he vowed that Tehran would "resist" them, state television reported.

The Trump administration slapped the new sanctions on Iran on Tuesday over its ballistic missile program and said Tehran's "malign activities" in the Middle East undercut any "positive contributions" coming from the 2015 Iran nuclear accord.

"Some of the actions of the Americans are against the spirit and even the letter of the (nuclear accord). We shall resist these plans and actions," Iranian state television quoted Rouhani as saying. "One of the plots of the Americans is to act in such a way that would make Iran say that it is not following its commitments. I think the Americans will fail as we will always respect our international commitments," Rouhani said. (Read more)

- Father, thank You for these new sanctions on Iran. Thank You for leadership that will hold nations accountable for their actions. We pray that the United States will regain respect and influence among the nations once again.

- "For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason." (Romans 13:3-5)

Don't be a Doomer

If you listen to or read the news, there is no doubt it can have an impact on you. Americans are bombarded day in and day out about the horrible condition of our country. We see, hear or read story after story about how bad our President is, how bad Congress is, how bad God is, how bad the things that we always knew as good and right are. It was difficult, for example, for me to find one good news story this morning as I perused my news sources. If you start believing all this, it will have a very negative impact on your life's outlook. It will affect your mentality. It will affect your relationships. It will change the way your brain processes information. And that's the game of Satan, which the media and leftists are playing.

There has been a great increase in the number of emails I receive saying in various ways that America is doomed. These emails, with good documentation, point to stories and statistics that, at least in their writer's minds, point to the demise of America. The moral condition of our nation; the hatred that is espoused by those claiming anyone who disagrees with them are haters; the appearance that those who are seeking the obstruction and overthrow of the Constitutional basis of America are in the majority and they are winning; the lack of the "Church" to focus on spreading the gospel and it's tremendous life-living instruction-all these things point to an America in decline. Yes, they do. We live in perilous times.

A few days ago, Chris and I visited Jamestown, Va., one of the first colonial settlements in our country. These men came to America on a 4 ½ month journey packed like sardines in small "ships." They carved out a civilization through hard work, facing tremendously negative elements. The pilgrims on the Mayflower had it even rougher a little more than a decade later. The French Huguenots in Florida actually faced execution by the Spanish for their religious beliefs. I'm sure there were times when these courageous people thought the world was ending, but they kept on, having enormous faith in God. The Jamestown settlers were required to attend prayer services twice a day. Point is, they were bloomers, not doomers.

America is an ideal, even more than it is a country. Being American means that you are free to do and be, to worship, to speak, to enjoy the fruits of your labor, to dream and to invent, to lead or to follow. Yes, our country is facing a terrible time. If we, however, face these times as doomers, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. For me, so long as there is God, there is hope. Remember Elijah after the miracle on Mt Carmel became filled with fear and told the Lord in 1 Kings 19:10, "and I, even I only, am left: and they seek my life to take it away." He, having little hope, thought he was the only prophet of God left alive, but God had preserved 7,000 who had not bowed to Baal. America is going through a rough time, but it has before. It's the remnant of good people who need to focus on God's work and once again turn the world upside down.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Classic Hymns:

IN THE GARDEN

"Thinking He was the gardener, she said, 'Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.'" (John 20:15)

Lyrics

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

Refrain

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Refrain

I'd stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Refrain

More than 150 earthquakes strike near Mammoth Lakes (California)
Long Valley Caldera

There is currently an earthquake swarm hitting Mammoth Lakes in California.

The series, which included a M3.9 quake on Sunday, may be tied to the movement of magma in the nearby Long Valley caldera.

The historically restless Mammoth Lakes area has experienced more than 150 tiny and small earthquakes over the past week, including a magnitude 3.0 temblor that hit at 7:13 p.m. on Monday, says the USGS.

The series - which included a 3. 9 quake on Sunday - may be tied to the movement of magma in the nearby Long Valley caldera, said Susan Hough, a USGS seismologist.

According to All News Pipelines and USGS, in 1915, Lassen Peak erupted and wrecked a huge portion of the state. Over the last 100 days, the much larger Long Valley Caldera has begun acting-up. And what it's doing has Geologists at the US Geological Survey "concerned." The Caldera - the mouth of the Volcano - is . . . . moving.

According to scientific instruments monitored by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) the area in vicinity of the Long Valley caldera is deforming and moving rapidly compared to previous records.

The seismic data is showing on a recent timespan that the amount of movement is causing STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT STRAIN in the rock in the area. This is not conspiracy-theorist conjecture or amateur geology antics, this is from the USGS itself. (Read more)

A Startling Connection Between the Tabernacle and Stars Reflects Creation of Heavens and Earth

After a detailed analysis of the description of the Biblical Tabernacle, an engineer has found startling correlations between the earthly structure and the orbits of the planets in the solar system. The remarkable similarities reflect an ancient belief that the tent in the desert was the pivotal point connecting heaven and earth, built using the power of creation itself.

Michael from Ireland (who prefers his surname not be known), retired from a career in telecommunications, has written several books on his studies of the Bible using his unique perspective. His background in engineering means that Michael speaks the language of numbers...

"It's like a manual from IKEA," Michael told Breaking Israel News. "Most people try to envision the Tabernacle as a standing structure. It's meant to be put together so you can also see it laid out flat." (Breaking Israel News) Read more.
