1. 'Anonymous' Hackers Claim to Breach NATO Security - Fox News
Hackers claims to have breached NATO security and accessed scads of material so confidential the group itself deemed it "irresponsible" to publish them all, despite a series of international raids Tuesday designed to corral the hacking activity.

2. Iran says shot down a U.S. spy plane over nuclear site - Reuters
Iran has shot down an unmanned U.S. spy plane over its Fordu nuclear site, a state-run website reported Wednesday, a day after it confirmed it was installing a new generation of advanced uranium enrichment centrifuges.
- While the U.S. denies this report, we pray that all hidden secrets of Iran's nuclear facilities be revealed. May every photograph taken by any spy planes reveal all information to the detriment of enemy plans.

3. Libyan Rebels Advance on a Gadhafi Stronghold - Wall Street Journal
Rebel fighters have penetrated Libya's southwest desert and pulled within 80 miles of Col. Moammar Gadhafi's southern stronghold, opening a new front and suggesting the strongman's grip is slipping even in areas believed firmly in his control.
- As this conflict rages, pray that the Lord will remove Gadhafi, but prevent terrorist groups from filling the gap.

4. Germany, France Reach Deal on Euro Debt Crisis - Fox News
Germany and France have overcome differences over how to combat the continent's spreading debt crises and agreed on a common position ahead of an emergency European summit Thursday, the French president's office said.
- Lord, we rejoice that these two nations have come together on an agreement in Europe's debt crisis. We ask that You bring wisdom for the leaders of their nations so that a complete meltdown can be averted.

5. GOP Eyes Mini-Deal on Debt - Fox News
Obama and Senate Democrats are looking to box in House Republicans with a debt-ceiling plan that would give the president his long-sought, $2.4 trillion borrowing-power increase in return for cuts to be determined later.
The White House is now expressing support for a brief extension, an approach that the president had previously deplored, if it is coupled with an agreement on a larger debt increase.

A lengthy, blistering heat wave that is blanketing the eastern half of the United States is putting significant stress on the nation's power grid as homeowners and businesses crank up their air conditioners.

Another sweltering heat wave is gripping a large part of the U.S., with at least 17 states hitting the 100-degree mark Tuesday and more than 40 surpassing 90.
- Father, we humbly plead for Your mercy over America, and for the people hard hit by this heat wave. We call for Your cooling touch and deliverance for these states.

Former State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley is predicting that Israel will not attack Iran, citing the strategic costs to the Jewish state and the uncertainty created by revolts across the Middle East.

Congressman Walsh and taking a stand with him
Maybe you are getting tired of the debate. Maybe you just do not want to hear it anymore. But now is not the time to give in. Do you realize what the politicians in Washington are doing? They are moving down the path of raising taxes without cutting spending in order to allow the government to borrow more money. The debt ceiling talk is very simple: The government needs to borrow more money in order to service its debt. That is like you and I running all our credit to their maximum and then borrowing more money to just make the interest payments on the debt. What Americans are watching before their very eyes on the grand national stage is political maneuvering to eventually do nothing.
Here is what is about to happen if things continue as they are. The senate will offer up a debt ceiling plan that Obama will sign. That means there will be a tax increase and some number of trillions of dollars that will be reduced in the government's budget. It will sound good, but that number is likely spread over a 10 year period, so it is worthless. Worthless because in the next ten years there will be at least three presidential elections, and five Congressional elections. Those numbers will change with the political wind. There will be at least two votes on the senate version, and finally Congressmen will say they had to vote for it otherwise the nation will default. Game over.
This could change if Americans will stand. Illinois Republican Congressman Joe Walsh has circulated a letter to his fellow congressmen calling on the Speaker of the House to prevent the Senate plan from coming to a vote in the House. Walsh writes: "Senator McConnell's plan is business as usual and does not offer any real solution to runaway spending." So far it is reported that some 80 Congressmen have signed on. If you want to make a stand here, encourage your congressman to consider the Walsh letter. At least Walsh is trying to stop this political chicanery. Many House congressmen took a no tax pledge before being elected. This is the test of their integrity and whether their word is their bond.
Exodus 18:21 tells us what kind of people should be elected to office, "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness." We are seeing whether any of them in Congress right now measure up to these standards. Are they able to do what is right? Do any of them respect God? Are their actions truthful? Do they hate covetousness? When they vote to raise more taxes to support government addiction to your money, that is covetousness. Hold them accountable, you may be surprised with positive results!
