Father, we ask that You would prepare the hearts of all involved in this process ahead that begins this week.

As we shift from the unknown of who President Trump may pick to the known nominee on whose confirmation the Senate decides, may we recognize that we still know nothing without You, and You know the hearts of leaders and turn them like the rivers of water in your hands. We ask You to turn the hearts of our leaders and the American people to You, Father, in all the fullness of what You desire that to mean.

Father, as You have set this opportunity before us, may your people not turn away from the victory before them, but may we turn to You to complete the work which You have started in this land.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” (Proverbs 21:2-3)
