1. Trump, Pence and other political leaders condemn suspicious devices sent to Hillary Clinton, Obama, CNN - CNN

President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and other political leaders on Wednesday denounced the suspicious packages sent to 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama and CNN's New York bureau, among other locations.

"In these times we have to unify, we have to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the United States of America," Trump said Wednesday at the White House. The White House called the attempted attacks "despicable."

Former President Bill Clinton expressed gratitude to the Secret Service for responding to the suspicious packages. "Thank you to the @SecretService and all law enforcement agencies who responded to this week's incidents," Clinton tweeted Wednesday afternoon. "They work tirelessly to keep our country and communities safe. I am forever grateful for their efforts." (Read more)

"The full weight of our government is being deployed to conduct this investigation and bring those responsible for these despicable acts to justice," President Donald J. Trump said from the White House East Room today. "This egregious conduct is abhorrent to everything we hold dear and sacred as Americans."

At a campaign rally in Wisconsin on Wednesday evening, President Trump decried any threats of political violence as "an attack on our democracy itself," saying "we want all sides to come together in peace and harmony" after explosive devices were sent to some prominent Democrats -- and he also took aim at the media, saying they are contributing to the problem. 4. 'Act of terror' declared as pipe bomb, envelope with white powder sent to CNN HQ - Washington Times

New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio and Governor Andrew Cuomo called the suspicious packages sent to CNN and Hillary Clinton's home address in New York an act of terror on Wednesday. "This is clearly an act of terror, attempting to undermine our free press and leaders of this country through acts of violence," Mr. DeBlasio said at a press conference, "I want to make very clear that the people of New York City will not be intimidated."

NYPD Commissioner James O'Neill explained that authorities discovered what appeared to be a "live explosive device" inside the Time Warner building. Mr. O'Neill said an envelope with white powder was also found with the device, but no other threats were found. Media outlets and other key locations throughout the city will have additional security after the morning's incident, authorities warned.

The package was addressed specifically to former CIA Director John Brennan, CNN reported nearly an hour after the evacuations first began. CNN staffers are reporting on the evacuation via social media that police are treating the package as a real explosive. CNN President Jeff Zucker informed employees that no other devices were found any of their other offices. (Read more)


5. Five Apparent Explosives Sent to Hillary Clinton, Obama, CNN, Holder and George Soros Are Linked, Sources Say; 1 Other Parcel Investigated - NBC

Five "potential explosive devices" sent to Hillary Clinton, former President Obama, billionaire George Soros, ex-Attorney General Eric Holder and CNN at NYC's Time Warner Center are thought to be linked, law enforcement sources say -- and officials are looking into whether one addressed to California Rep. Maxine Waters in Washington, D.C., has a similar signature.

Two of the five devices -- one addressed to Clinton's Chappaqua home, one to Obama in Washington, D.C. -- were intercepted by the U.S. Secret Service. Another of the packages -- one addressed to ex-CIA chief John Brennan, now an MSNBC contributor -- that appeared similar to the others forced an evacuation of CNN at the Time Warner Center Wednesday.

Also Wednesday afternoon, congressional leadership sources confirmed to NBC News that a suspicious device intercepted at a mail processing facility for the U.S. Capitol was addressed to Waters. That device's nature, and possible connection to the others, remains under investigation. (Read more)


6. Pelosi, Schumer say Trump must do more to stop violence - Washington Times

The top Democrats in Congress said Wednesday it's up to President Trump to live up to his own calls for civility in the wake of this week's mail-bomb attacks. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said they "listened with great interest" as Mr. Trump called for unity and condemned the bombings - but said that's not good enough. "President Trump's words ring hollow until he reverses his statements that condone acts of violence," the two Democrats said in a joint statement.

"Time and time again, the president has condoned physical violence and divided Americans with his words and his actions: expressing support for the congressman who body-slammed a reporter, the neo-Nazis who killed a young woman in Charlottesville, his supporters at rallies who get violent with protestors, dictators around the world who murder their own citizens and referring to the free press as the enemy of the people," the two said.

Bomb-like devices were sent to former President Barack Obama, the Clintons, an Obama aide who now works for CNN, former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and others. Mr. Trump said he was "extremely angry" over the attacks. "In these times, we have to unify and come together," Mr. Trump said at the White House. "This egregious conduct is abhorrent to everything we hold dear and sacred as Americans." (Read more)

Focus on Israel

1. Muslim clerics order freeze on sale of Muslim lands in Jerusalem - Israel National News

The Council of Sages and Preachers in Al-Quds (the Arab name of Jerusalem -ed.) made clear on Tuesday that the transfer of real estate in Jerusalem to non-Muslims is considered one of the gravest crimes in terms of religion and nationality.

In a statement, the Council said it is forbidden to remain silent in light of certain people's attempts to justify the transfer of the assets of the Jodeh family to Jewish ownership.

The senior Muslim clerics stressed that a 1935 fatwa issued by the clerics of Palestine and which prohibits the sale of land to Jews remains in effect.

They also called upon the Palestinian Arab public to take all possible measures to prevent the sale of real estate assets in Jerusalem, even to local Muslims or ones from abroad, for fear that the sale would be used to transfer ownership to Jews.

2. Report: Netanyahu fears president could deny him premiership - Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu won't back early elections, a report by Israel Hayom claims, due to concerns that President Reuven Rivlin will invite rival candidates to form a governing coalition - even if Netanyahu's Likud party wins the most seats.

Recent polls show the Likud leading by double digits over its nearest rival - former Finance Minister Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid party.

With his own faction's polling numbers peaking, and an ongoing deadlock within his coalition between haredi lawmakers and the Yisrael Beytenu party over a new haredi draft law, early elections could appear to be a natural choice for Prime Minister Netanyahu, potentially strengthening his hand with a new government and enlarged Likud.

But according to report by Israel Hayom, senior Likud officials - including Netanyahu himself - have decided to hold off on early elections, fearing that President Reuven Rivlin could invite a rival candidate, like Yair Lapid, to attempt to form a viable coalition first.

3. Rocket fired from Gaza after week of relative calm -Times of Israel

Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired a single missile into Israel from the Gaza Strip late Wednesday night, the army said, with the projectile apparently falling in an open field despite after a failed interception attempt. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The rocket fire sent thousands of residents rushing to bomb shelters and ended a week-long stretch of relative calm in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF said it had identified a single launch from the Strip toward Israel and "n interceptor was fired at it."

However, the missile apparently missed its target, Israel Radio reported and the rocket from Gaza landed in an open field in southern Israel.

4. IDF attacks 8 Hamas targets - Israel National News

IDF aircraft attacked eight terrorist targets in three military compounds belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza overnight Wednesday.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, the targets attacked included a military compound in the northern Gaza Strip, and a training camp and a weapons production and storage site in the southern Gaza Strip.

The attack was carried out in retaliation for the rocket attack Israeli territory earlier on Wednesday evening.

5. Macron will unveil peace plan if Trump doesn't, senior Israeli official says - World Israel News

An Israeli Foreign Ministry official told a Knesset committee earlier this week that if U.S. President Donald Trump did not present an Israeli-Palestinian peace plan within a few weeks after the upcoming Nov. 6 midterm elections, French President Emmanuel Macron would likely unveil a diplomatic initiative of his own, Channel 10reported on Tuesday.

Alon Ushpiz, the Foreign Ministry's director of diplomacy, also revealed that Israel was not aware of the details of Trump's long-awaited proposal. According to the report, which cited two Knesset members who attended Monday's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting, Ushpiz cautioned that a Democratic takeover of the House of Representatives would significantly change the atmosphere in Washington vis-à-vis Israel.

"Things will not be the same as before," he was quoted as saying. "There will be consequences for Israel. What has happened until now since Trump's entry into the White House will not continue, and we need to prepare for this."

6. U.S. Warns Russia Against Trying To Help Iran Skirt Oil Sanctions - Financial Times
The United States warned Russia to not even consider helping Iran to evade the U.S. sanctions on Tehran's oil, a senior U.S. Administration official told the Financial Times.

"Iran might be pushing the idea of Russia selling their oil on the world market to evade sanctions," FT quoted on Sunday the senior official as saying.

"I would discourage Russia from even considering this. It would be in Russia's best interests not to facilitate Iranian evasion of US sanctions," the official noted.

Russia and Iran reportedly agreed last month to a deal allowing Iran to evade the U.S. sanctions on Tehran's oil exports, Israel's Hadashot TV news reported earlier this month, citing a document by the Israeli Foreign Ministry as warning.

1. Second caravan forms in Guatemala - Washington Examiner

A second migrant caravan is forming in Guatemala, after the first one crossed into Mexico over the weekend and swelled to more than 7,000 people as it headed to the U.S.-Mexico border. Thousands of Honduran migrants gathered in Guatemala near the border with Honduras on Tuesday to begin their journey north, the Wall Street Journal reported. Estimates of the second grouping ranged from a few hundred Hondurans to a few thousand, the report said.

Thousands of migrants are already marching through Mexico, but are still more than a thousand miles away from the Texas border and could take a month or more to reach the U.S. border by foot. The majority of migrants are from Honduras and are leaving to escape crime and poverty. Activists said the migrants have traveled in large caravans to avoid the dangers of human traffickers, who charge between $4,000 and $8,000 a person for the perilous trek to the U.S. border. President Trump declared the first caravan a national emergency and threatened to cut or reduce aid to Central America countries for failing to stop the caravan from trying to enter the U.S. (Read more)

2. Pence Reveals Socialist Government Behind Migrant Caravan - Western Journal

Vice President Mike Pence announced on Tuesday that the president of Honduras told him the migrant caravan making its way through Mexico was organized by "leftist groups" and is being funded by the socialist government in Venezuela.

"At the president's direction, I spoke to President Hernandez of Honduras, who told me the caravan that's now making its way through Mexico, heading to the southern border was organized by leftist organizations and financed by Venezuela," Pence said.

Mexican Ambassador to the U.S. Geronimo Gutierrez told Fox News late last week his country "has evidence" the caravan is politically motivated. "They are very well organized," he told host Brett Baier on "Special Report."

At a news conference at the State Department on Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reiterated the Trump administration's position that those participating in the caravan will not be permitted to illegally enter the U.S. "The United States also has a message for those who are currently part of this caravan, or any caravan which follows: You will not be successful at getting into the United States illegally," he said. 3. Proof Americans are funding gang-, Middle Eastern-laced caravan - OneNewsNow

As approximately 14,000 migrants approach the United States in the caravan originating in Honduras, more and more gang members and Middle Easterners are joining the pack, and watchdogs are now saying there is "evidence" that the mass illegal migration is being funded by Americans.

With the timing perfectly situated right before November's midterm elections to give pro-immigration activists more incentive to vote for Democrats in major House and Senate battles across America, proof is now being uncovered showing that the migrant caravan headed north was financially motivated by Americans - and not by a spontaneous urge of thousands to simultaneously rush the U.S. border out of desperation for a better life.

It now appears that the thousands of illegal invaders trekking toward the southern border of the U.S. were staged by Democrats - and extensively covered by the mainstream media - to give the blue party traction with pro-immigration voters when they cast their ballots in the weeks to come. 4. Pompeo: U.S. Revoking Visas of Saudi Officials Involved in Jamal Khashoggi's Death - Breitbart

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Tuesday that the U.S. will revoke the visas of Saudi Arabia officials involved in the death of Washington Post opinion writer Jamal Khashoggi.

"We have identified at least some of the individuals responsible, including those in the intelligence services, the royal court, the foreign ministry, and other Saudi ministries who we suspect to have been involved in Mr. Khashoggi's death," Pompeo told reporters during a press briefing at the State Department. "We are taking appropriate actions, which include revoking visas, entering visa lookouts and other measures."

"We are also working with the Treasury Department to review the applicability of global Magnitsky sanctions to those individuals," he added. "These penalties will not be the last word on this matter from the United States. We will continue to explore additional measures to hold those responsible accountable." The visa revocations are the first punitive measures taken by the administration against the Saudis since Khashoggi disappeared after entering the consulate on October 2. (Read more)

5. Trump turns tables, scores wins over Russia - Washington Times

President Trump's often-criticized effort to forge better relations with Russia has morphed into a confrontational stance that this week scored economic and national security wins. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that her government is backing construction of a shipping depot for importing liquefied natural gas from the U.S., bowing to Mr. Trump's demand that she loosen Russia's grip on the country's energy supply.

Mr. Trump then went directly after Moscow. He announced that the U.S. was pulling out of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty that for the past 31 years limited the development and deployment of missile or launch systems that can threaten Russia's European neighbors. The president accused Russia of violating the missile system ban for years and, to the Kremlin's dismay, vowed to force an expensive new arms race.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was riled. At a meeting Tuesday in Moscow with National Security Adviser John R. Bolton, Mr. Putin described the developments as "unprovoked moves that are hard to call friendly." Later, Mr. Trump said he is willing to sit down with Mr. Putin when the two men are in Paris next month for events marking the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. (Read more)

6. Government Economists Offer Window Into What a Socialist US Economy Would Look Like - Daily Signal

If the United States were to adopt the socialist policies of Venezuela, the move would slash the economy by 40 percent-or $24,000 per year for the average American, according to a report by the president's Council of Economic Advisers. "Coincident with the 200th anniversary of Karl Marx's birth, socialism is making a comeback in American political discourse," says the council's report, "The Opportunity Costs of Socialism. Detailed policy proposals from self-declared socialists are gaining support in Congress and among much of the electorate," the report continues.

The report specifically cites so-called "Medicare-for-all" proposals, which essentially would be a single-payer health care program. The study found that if Medicare-for-all were financed out of current federal spending-without additional borrowing or tax increases-it would eat up more than half of the entire federal budget. That would require drastic cuts in Social Security and in national defense to pay for it, said Kevin Hassett, chairman of the president's Council of Economic Advisers, told reporters in a conference call Tuesday.

Venezuela, where the economy is falling apart, is a profound example of what can happen under socialism, Hassett said. "When you have a breakdown in the rule of law, and you take away private-property rights, it's not unusual to have a pattern of destabilization," he said. "When you undermine property rights, it undermines stability." (Read more)

7. Dow erases gains for the year, tumbles more than 600 points as stocks extend October swoon - CNBC

Stocks plummeted on Wednesday as a sharp drop in tech shares and worries about corporate earnings added fuel to this month's steep pullback. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 608.01 points at 24,583.42 and erased all of its gains for 2018. Worries about a slowing economy under pressure from rising interest rates grew after the Commerce Department said new home sales fell to a two-year low.

"The housing numbers were not good," said JJ Kinahan, chief market strategist at TD Ameritrade. "There's a lot of uncertainty heading into the end of the year. It just feels like people feel more comfortable spending short-term rather than long term." Bank shares fell on fears of slowing growth for mortgage and other loans.

Several factors have conspired to knock markets this month - some earnings disappointment, a brewing conflict between Italy and the European Union over budget spending, criticism of oil power Saudi Arabia over the killing of a dissident journalist and finally, worries that world growth is losing steam. 8. Faith-Based Adoption Agencies Are Under Siege in the US - CBN News

United States Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke is under fire for criticizing a law that allows faith-based adoption agencies to turn away same-sex couples. O'Rourke was referring to a 2017 law called House Bill 3859. The law prohibits religious agencies from being "required to provide any service that conflicts with the provider's sincerely held religious beliefs." If an agency does decide to turn a couple away, they must direct them to another provider or to a list of state providers who are willing to accommodate them.

Dana Nessel, the Democratic candidate running for attorney general in Michigan, expressed similar criticism about a 2015 Michigan law, saying she "could not justify using the state's money defending a law whose only purpose is discriminatory animus." Meanwhile, the American Civil Liberties Union is suing the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services over the 2015 law.

Scott Collins, senior vice president of Buckner International, agrees with the law and says it isn't about parenting, but about preserving religious freedom. "We're not saying in any way that some people are bad and shouldn't be parents," he told CBN News in an interview. "We're just saying this is what we believe. These are sincerely held religious convictions that we have and we want to continue to do what we've done for a 138 years now." (Read more)

9. Trump signs sweeping opioids bill, says effort will make 'big dent' in deadly crisis - Washington Times

President Trump signed a mammoth opioids bill Wednesday designed to expand treatment options, fund non-addictive painkillers and stop the flow of deadly synthetic drugs from abroad, calling it a critical piece of ongoing efforts to put a "big dent" in the crisis. The president offered handshakes all around after signing the bill in the ornate East Room of the White House, handing his pen to House Energy and Commerce Chairman Greg Walden, who steered the effort on his side of the Capitol.

A bipartisan effort, the bill cleared both chambers by wide margins and offered a respite from partisan bickering over the Supreme Court and midterm contests. Mr. Trump told addiction survivors, law enforcement and other guests the bill capped "historic" efforts he's taken in the last year to rein in the drug overdose epidemic, which killed a record 70,000 people in 2017.

Dozens of lawmakers from both parties contributed to the legislative effort, which lifts cap on Medicaid funding for drug treatment, extends help to addicted mothers and empowers package inspectors to root out deadly fentanyl from China. A key part of the bill, the STOP Act, forces the U.S. Postal Service to collect advanced electronic data on packages entering the U.S. (Read more)

10. Democrats start to worry over talk of blue wave - OneNewsNow

In the closing stretch of the 2018 campaign, the question is no longer the size of the Democratic wave. It's whether there will be a wave at all.

Top operatives in both political parties concede that Democrats' narrow path to the Senate majority has essentially disappeared, a casualty of surging Republican enthusiasm across GOP strongholds. At the same time, leading Democrats now fear the battle for the House majority will be decided by just a handful of seats.

"It's always been an inside straight, and it still is," Democratic pollster Paul Maslin said of Democrats' outlook in the Senate, where they need to pick up two seats while holding on to several others in Republican-leaning states to seize the majority. "If it had been a different year, with a different map, we might have had a terrific sweep. That would be a long shot." (Read more)

Invasion of America


Mexican authorities are now saying that the mob of invaders being escorted to the US border by Mexican law enforcement now total in the neighborhood of 14,000. This is just not your everyday mob of illegal anarchists. It has been reported from reliable sources that mixed in with the invaders are members of the violent extremist MS-13 gang and possible terrorists from the Middle East, Africa, and Bangladesh. The mob is also a haven for drug traffickers, kidnappers, sex slave and human traffickers and other criminals. Is it no coincidence that the invaders expected time of arrival at the US border is election day and that the Democratic Party is largely silent about this impending breech of national security?

While admitting that there are criminals, previously deported illegals, MS-13 gang members and even terrorists in the advancing mob, the leftist news media, seemingly speaking from the same talking points as the Democratic Party candidates and officeholders, say that the growing mob is comprised of refugees. Open borders advocate and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos says, "The vast majority of these people are not criminals. They're not terrorists. And they're not even immigrants. They're refugees. And as a nation in the United States, we have to choose what kind of nation we are and treat them with respect. We cannot pre-judge them. We cannot say all of them are criminals . . . that is not true. So what we have to do is listen to them, hear their cases, and if they deserve political asylum, then grant it to them."
David Frum of the Atlantic reported, "In the Democrats' liberal base, the mood toward the caravan is positively sympathetic. The caravan's slogan, "People without borders," chimes with the rising sentiment among liberals that border-enforcement is inherently illegitimate, and usually racist, too." And that's where it comes down. House and Senate Democrat leaders Nancy Pelosi (CA) and Charles Schumer (NY) issued a joint statement on October 20 to Democratic Party candidates urging them to ignore efforts to discuss immigration. They said, "The president is desperate to change the subject from health care to immigration because he knows that health care is the number one issue Americans care about."
Despite the Democratic Party wanting open borders and advocating for illegals to vote, the Bible is very clear about how to handle immigrants. Exodus 22:21 says, "You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him." This is repeated in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. In context, Exodus 12:49 says, "One law shall be to him that is home-born, and unto the foreigner who sojourns among you." This is also repeated in Numbers and Leviticus.One law for all. In this context it is God's law, but these people neither want to submit to the laws of the nation or to God's laws. If they enter here illegally, they have broken the law as their first act. Hard as it is, policymakers must address this, otherwise our country is in danger of becoming a lawless society and both our national and personal security is compromised.

Dear Sara,

Thank you so much for your tireless efforts to keep intercessors informed and motivated! Yesterday, after seeing that the number of the migrant caravan was estimated at 7,000 over the weekend, I spent time pondering and seeking Abba to know what it is all about. Seven, as you know, is the number of perfection or completeness in Scripture. I had read Bill Koenig's warning at THIS LINK and asked myself, is the LORD creating another "perfect storm"? He had drawn me last week to Isaiah 45:6-7 "That people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things.

Today, as I read the Brief, I saw that Mexican sources now estimate the throng at 14,000. This morning as I shared this with my intercessory team, Beverly Hall said that immediately 2 Chron. 7:14 came to mind. SEVEN and FOURTEEN!!!Truly Yahweh is speaking and I believe it is a very strong warning. It is no coincidence that Israel's borders are also in grave danger right now, as the Brief demonstrates. I believe Bill Koenig is right on target! Please go to THIS LINK if you have not read his post. President Trump has provoked Heaven with his "piece" plan.
As you probably know, our dear President is directly contacting his supporters daily all across the country to invite them to rallys and to ask for donations to the GOP. I have recently been contacted several times by both Him and Lara Trump by email and text messages. It is a powerful campaign strategy and I salute him for it. It occurs to me that we can use the very same strategy to contact him directly to let him know that, as intercessors, we are sensing Heaven's displeasure and warnings. Therefore, I have done just that, as you can see below and have received an auto response to let me know the emails were received. I also used the "contact the White House" link [https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/] and inserted an abbreviated letter [see below], as the amount of text was limited. Therefore, he will receive my letter via three sources.
I am writing to ask you to consider whether you might urge others to make such an effort. We have bombarded Heaven with our praise and concern. If we bombard our President with thanksgiving, honor, and concern, perhaps Abba will turn his heart according to Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will."

The Bible declares calamity for any who divide the land of Israel, which God clearly proclaims as His. More Muslims have come to faith in Christ in this generation than in the last fourteen centuries of Islam combined. The Church in Iran is now estimated to be between 1 million and 3 million strong.

That's the analysis of Shadi Fatehi from the PARS Theological Center in London, England, speaking at a suburban church in Minneapolis earlier this month.

In 1979, the Islamic Revolution occurred in Iran when the Ayatollah Khomeini overthrew the Shah of Iran, and Iran became one of the only theocratic Islamic countries in the whole world.

It was the year that Presbyterian missionaries were kicked out of the country after serving faithfully for about 150 years since the 1830s-accused of being CIA agents-and the Church was concerned about what was going to happen in that country.

"Everyone thought that the Church would be entirely closed down, and that Christianity-the little remnants that still existed-would die down," said Fatehi.

"At the time there were only 350 Christians living in Iran from a Muslim background. Today, 40 years later, the statistics are about 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 Christians from a Muslim background living in Iran today.
