2. Radical Palestinian organization: Boycott local elections - Israel National News

A radical Islamic Palestinian Arab organization on Sunday issued a statement expressing opposition to the upcoming local elections slated for the Palestinian Authority (PA)-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria and in Gaza.

The organization argued in its statement that democracy was created by the West as a means to subjugate people, especially Muslims, and that the Palestinian Authority was established to serve the western-Zionist-Crusader enterprise in Muslim countries and particularly in "Palestine".

In fact, the organization claimed, the PA plays the role of the military governor of the "occupation" - that is, Israel - in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. (Read more)

3. After Conquering Jerusalem, Jews Will Try to Take Mecca - Israel Today

That was the gist of a charge leveled by a senior member of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' ruling Fatah faction in protesting the Jerusalem Municipality's plan to build a cable car to ease access to the Old City.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat has openly endorsed the plan, which envisions a cable car stretching from the city's old train station (which is now a popular pedestrian venue) to the City of David to the Mount of Olives and back to the Lion's Gate of the Old City.

"I want to bring ten million tourists to these places, but without an infrastructure of trains, cable-cars, a fast train (to Tel Aviv), hotels, et cetera, we will not be able to enjoy this unique experience," said Barkat. "In order to bring people from around the world, in order to understand who the real boss is in this city, we need to create infrastructure." (Read more)

4. Danon: Middle East envoy's remarks 'disconnected from reality' - Israel National News

Israel's UN Ambassador Danny Danon on Monday night sharply criticized the remarks by the UN's Middle East Envoy Nickolay Mladenov, who earlier blasted "Israeli settlement expansion" while speaking before the UN Security Council.

"Complete disconnection from the facts on the ground," Danon said, adding, "Israel will continue to build in its eternal capital of Jerusalem, just as the nations of the world will continue to build in their capitals without asking the permission of the United Nations."

"The UN should concentrate on the main obstacle to a solution in the region, which is the Palestinian refusal to condemn terrorism and return to the negotiating table," the Ambassador continued. (Read more)

5. 3,000 year old treasures dated to the time of King David unveiled - Jerusalem Post

The Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem offered a unique preview on Monday of an exhibition showcasing 3,000 year-old artifacts recovered from Khirbet Qeiyafa which archaeologists believe could be the biblical city of Sha'arayim, meaning 'Two Gates', that is mentioned in the story of the battle of David and the Philistine giant, Goliath.

Khirbet Qeiyafa, overlooking the Elah Valley southwest of Jerusalem, is an ancient fortified city that was discovered around a decade ago. But it was not until the second year of excavations in 2008 that archaeologists realized they had stumbled upon what was possibly the earliest physical evidence of a Davidic city dating back to the 11th Century BCE. 6. Israeli aid group building shelters for Italy quake victims - Times of Israel

A team of Israel volunteers has been dispatched to quake-struck Italy to help the country recover from last week's devastating natural disaster, including building temporary shelters for hundreds of families left homeless by the temblor.

In a statement Sunday, the IsraeAID non-governmental group said it is building temporary housing camps, distributing food and other items, and providing grief counseling to families that lost relatives as well as to the Italian rescue teams, which suffer from burnout and acute stress. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask You to be with all the victims and families of the earthquake in Italy. We ask that Your Holy Spirit comfort and bring peace to those hurting. We pray for healing and provision for those affected. We ask for Your mercy and blessing on those who are helping, specifically the Israeli volunteers. We pray that they would be Your hands and feet on earth. Bless them, Father, and give each one a new, deeper revelation of You and Your love for them. We pray in the name of Yeshua, amen.

The Daily Brief

Please note:
Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. Back-to-Back Hawaii Hurricanes Would be Unprecedented - The Weather Channel

Hawaii faces a threat of back-to-back hurricanes this week, first from Hurricane Madeline, then by the weekend from Lester. If both Lester and Madeline can hold onto hurricane intensity upon reaching the Hawaiian Islands, that would be a historical first.

Only once in the 66-year reliable period of record have as many as two hurricanes tracked within 200 nautical miles of Hawaii. That was in 2014, when previously-mentioned Iselle was followed by a close brush with Hurricane Ana.

But those hurricanes weren't back-to-back - they were separated by over two months. (Read more)

- Oh, Lord, look down with mercy upon the residents in Hawaii and cause these storms to move harmlessly out to sea. We pray the citizens in these areas will cry out to You as the Master of Universe to spare their area during this hurricane and storm season. Bless You, Father, for Your heart for Your people.

- "He let loose the east wind from the heavens and by his power made the south wind blow." (Psalms 78:26)

2. New Smuggler Tunnel Detected, Under US-Mexican Border - Jewish Press

A new 31.5-meter (102-foot) smuggler tunnel has been discovered snaking under the U.S.-Mexican border, according to a statement issued Sunday by Mexican federal police, and quoted by Associated Press. The unfinished illegal conduit was discovered by a team of Mexican police working together with the U.S. Border Patrol in Nogales, Arizona.

The entrance to the tunnel was found in Mexico inside the wall of a storm drain, but the exit had not yet reached its intended destination on the Arizona side of the border.

There are a number of drug trafficking organizations in Mexico who are known for using tunnels to transport their wares into the United States. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask Your protection against the plans of drug cartels or any other groups who are digging tunnels under the US Mexican border.

- "Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; defend me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloodthirsty men." (Psalm 59:1,2)

3. ISIS Terrorists Infiltrating Canada, Suspected of Plotting Attacks - Washington Free Beacon

The Canadian government is warning its citizens that it knows of at least 180 people who have traveled abroad to join terror groups and is tracking another 60 "extremist travelers who had returned to Canada," according to a new government report that provides further evidence of the Islamic State's migration to North America.

Terrorists returning to Canada after fighting abroad in hotspots such as Syria "raise serious security concerns," says the report, which warns that "a violent act of terrorism could occur in Canada."

Canadian authorities, like those in the United States, have continued to monitor a number of Western individuals who have traveled abroad to join terror groups. A number of these individuals have made their way back to North America, raising concerns that ISIS and its affiliates are planning attacks on the continent.

Canada's finding is similar to warnings by some current and former U.S. officials, who have said that ISIS affiliates are already living in America and other Western countries. (Read more)

- Father God, we come, in the name of Jesus, against the seeming paralysis of governments against the maneuvers of those whose intent can only be terrorism. We pray for wisdom to prevail over fear of offending minorities. We pray that You, Dear Lord, will come with Your strength to interfere in the plans of these citizens to spread terror in this Christian country. Uncover every plot, Dear Lord, in Your name, amen.

- "But God drags away the mighty by his power, though they become established, they have no assurance of life." (Job 24:22)

4. An Internet Giveaway to the U.N. - Wall Street Journal

When the Obama administration announced its plan to give up U.S. protection of the internet, it promised the United Nations would never take control. But because of the administration's naiveté or arrogance, U.N. control is the likely result if the U.S. gives up internet stewardship as planned at midnight on Sept. 30.

On Friday Americans for Limited Government received a response to its Freedom of Information Act request for "all records relating to legal and policy analysis . . . concerning antitrust issues for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers" if the U.S. gives up oversight. The administration replied it had "conducted a thorough search for responsive records within its possession and control and found no records responsive to your request." . . .

Without the U.S. contract, Icann would seek to be overseen by another governmental group so as to keep its antitrust exemption. Authoritarian regimes have already proposed Icann become part of the U.N. to make it easier for them to censor the internet globally. So much for the Obama pledge that the U.S. would never be replaced by a "government-led or an inter-governmental organization solution." (Entire article available only by subscription.)

- Lord, You alone know the agendas of ICANN and the UN in reference to the freedom of the internet. Your people use the internet extensively for reaching those who need to know You. We pray that this plan will fall to the ground, never to be picked up again.

- "But I will hope continually, and will praise You more and more. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and your salvation all the day, for I do not know their limits." (Psalm 71:14,15)

5. Iran deploys long-range missiles to Fordo nuclear site - Yahoo.com

Tehran has deployed a recently delivered Russian-made long-range missile system to central Iran to protect its Fordo nuclear facility, state television said Sunday.

Protecting nuclear facilities is paramount "in all circumstances" General Farzad Esmaili, the commander of Iran's air defences, told the IRIB channel.

"Today, Iran's sky is one of the most secure in the region," he added.

A video showed an S-300 carrier truck in Fordo, raising its missile launchers toward the sky, next to other counter-strike weaponry. (Read more)

- Mighty Lord, in the name of Jesus, we come against the evil alliance between Russia and Iran to build nuclear weapons. Father, we ask You to interrupt their cooperation so that wicked men with wicked plans never obtain nuclear weapons. We call for a mighty revival in the countries of Russia and Iran to combat their evil ambitions. Rise up strong before the enemies of Your people. We repent for having foolish leaders who gave them money. In Your Name we pray, amen.

- "Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord; do not let their plans succeed."
(Psalms 140:8)

6. Khamenei: Our enemies will face a harsh response if they attack - Israel National News

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Sunday warned his country's "enemies" that they will face Iran's harsh response if they dare to launch a military attack against the country.

"The enemy should understand that if it makes any aggression, it will be hit hard and our defense will also include response," Khamenei said in a meeting with military commanders in Tehran on Sunday, according to the Fars news agency.

"We should increase the Armed Forces' preparedness to the extent that the enemy doesn't even allow itself to think about aggression," he added.

Khamenei referred to the enemies' opposition to Iran's purchase of the S-300 missile defense system from Russia, and said, "The S-300 system is a defensive and not offensive tool but the Americans have made their utmost efforts to prevent the Islamic Republic's use of this possibility." (Read more)

- Father, we repeat our prayer, above. Once again, we come against the evil alliance between Russia and Iran to build nuclear weapons.

7. Pentagon: Stand down, Kurds, Turks - Israel National News

Clashes between Turkish forces and units affiliated with a US-backed Kurdish-led alliance in Syria are "unacceptable", the Pentagon said Monday, calling on all sides to "stand down."

In a statement sent to AFP, Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook condemned the fighting south of the Syrian town of Jarabulus. "We are closely monitoring reports of clashes south of Jarabulus -- where ISIL is no longer located -- between the Turkish armed forces, some opposition groups, and units that are affiliated with the SDF (Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces)," he said.

"We want to make clear that we find these clashes unacceptable and they are a source of deep concern." The United States "was not involved in these activities, they were not coordinated with US forces, and we do not support them," he said. (Read more)

- Lord God, because we keep getting conflicting reports of actions on the ground at the Turkish-Syrian border, we will pray in the Spirit over this report, asking only for Your will to be done, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26)

8. US moves nuclear weapons from Turkey to Romania - Euractiv.com

Two independent sources told EurActiv.com that the US has started transferring nuclear weapons stationed in Turkey to Romania, against the background of worsening relations between Washington and Ankara. According to one of the sources, the transfer has been very challenging in technical and political terms. "It's not easy to move 20+ nukes," said the source, on conditions of anonymity.

According to a recent report by the Simson Center, since the Cold War, some 50 US tactical nuclear weapons have been stationed at Turkey's Incirlik air base, approximately 100 kilometres from the Syrian border.

During the failed coup in Turkey in July, Incirlik's power was cut, and the Turkish government prohibited US aircraft from flying in or out. Eventually, the base commander was arrested and implicated in the coup. Whether the US could have maintained control of the weapons in the event of a protracted civil conflict in Turkey is an unanswerable question, the report says.

Another source told EurActiv.com that the US-Turkey relations had deteriorated so much following the coup that Washington no longer trusted Ankara to host the weapons. The American weapons are being moved to the Deveselu air base in Romania, the source said. Deveselu, near the city of Caracal, is the new home of the US missile shield, which has infuriated Russia. (Read more)

- Father God, only You know where these nuclear weapons are now being stored, and who has control over them. We ask only that You place Your guardian angels around these weapons in this hour. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, in Your name, amen.

- "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)

Prophecy Clock: Russian missiles at Iran's nuke site

AFP reports that Iran has deployed Russian-supplied S-300 missiles around its nuclear plant near Qom. The system is aimed at the sky to protect the plant from attack. This comes after the revelation that pallets of Euros, Swiss Francs and other currencies totaling some $400 million were delivered by plane to Iran after the current US "president" negotiated a nuclear deal with the terrorist state. The money was ransom paid to Iran for the release of hostages the terrorist-sponsoring nation was holding during the negotiations. While the White House said there was nothing unusual with the ransom, historians are now saying it is unprecedented. The US cash likely made the Russian missile purchase possible.

It has been speculated for decades that Russia is part of the Biblical end time battle found in Ezekiel 38 and 39, but there is no mention of the country in scripture. Ezekiel 38:2-3 says, "Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus says the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal." This prophecy contains only current Islamic-Arab nations as located on modern maps: Magog (Turkey), Meshek (Turkey), Tubal (Turkey), Gomer (Turkey), Togarmah (Turkey), Persia (Iran), Ethiopia/Cush (Sudan), Libya/Put (Libya), Sheba (Egypt and Saudi Arabia), and Dedan (Saudi Arabia).

The United States of America is also not mentioned in the Bible. We know, however, just as Russia has played an anti-Israel role in history, America, until the past decade, has played a positive role in history toward Israel. That changed when President George W Bush politically forced Israel to abandon Gaza to the Palestinian Authority and removed Jewish settlers from their land. But the current "president" has placed America at odds with Israel by assisting the Muslim Brotherhood with Arab Spring, negotiating with the terrorist state of Iran and propping up its nuclear agenda, and many other numerous policy shifts that elevated radical Islam over the only democratic free state in the Middle East-Israel.

Zechariah 12:3 says, "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." While we may not be able to stop the march of prophecy, we can determine our place in it. As a nation that will also be judged, Americans need to be just as worried as Russians about where their leaders are placing them in Biblical prophecy. Jesus said in Matthew 25:32, "And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats." These nations will be judged based on how they treated the least of his brethren.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Evangelical Church Being Pushed Behind the "Soviet Wall" Again in Russia

Christians in Russia are grappling with a new law that effectively makes it illegal for them to share their faith, preach or pray outside of officially designated sites.

"Everybody is stunned. It came so quickly, so unexpectedly," said Sergey Rakhuba, president of Mission Eurasia, an organization that equips young church leaders in countries in the post-Soviet world and Eurasia.

Rakhuba says the new law brings back memories of repressive laws passed by former Soviet dictators Nikita Khrushchev and Jospeph Stalin.

"They're trying to push the evangelical church back behind the walls again as the Soviets did," he said. (CBN) Read more here.

Cosmic Rays Intensify!

Spaceweather.com and the students of Earth to Sky Calculus have been using helium balloons to monitor cosmic rays in the stratosphere over California. Their latest data show an increase of almost 13% since 2015. They can seed clouds, trigger lightning, and penetrate commercial airplanes. Furthermore, there are studies linking cosmic rays with cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death in the general population. (SpaceWeather.com)

The Good News Corner

"Divine Circumstances and by God's Grace" Pave Way for Evangelism at Sturgis Bike Rally

STURGIS, S.D. (BP) -- Josh Mueller wasn't exactly sure what he was getting into when he drove to the annual Sturgis Bike Rally.

His brother Jeff is his pastor at Restore Church in their hometown of Yankton, S.D. Jeff had recruited Josh to volunteer at the Dakota Baptist Convention's Sturgis Bike Giveaway evangelism initiative.

During their first shift at the evangelism venue, Josh was too nervous to share his faith with anyone, much less a stranger. Like many Christians, Josh was nervous about personal evangelism. Unlike many Christians, Josh develops a stutter when he's nervous. That night he observed and prayed for the team.

The next night Josh was a different person, Jeff said.

"It was definitely divine circumstances and by God's grace that he was able to share his testimony and faith in Jesus," Jeff said.

On that shift, Jeff was in front of the venue working as a "catcher," interacting with Sturgis attendees and inviting them to register for the free Harley-Davidson motorcycle drawing at the end of the rally. First, they would need to listen to a three-minute testimony from someone like Josh, who was a "sharer."

The brothers had a signal. If Josh was too nervous to speak to the prospects Jeff brought in, he would nod. As Jeff approached with the first two guests, there was no nod. Josh shared his story with two young men who had life stories similar to Josh, and they both made professions of faith in Christ. (BPNews) Read more here.
