Today, we turn the page on NAFTA

This morning from the Rose Garden, President Donald J. Trump unveiled a modernized, rebalanced trade deal with Canada and Mexico-keeping one of the signature promises of his 2016 campaign.

In a stark contrast from the outdated NAFTA, nearly a quarter-century old, the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) protects American workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses. For years, politicians on both sides of the aisle have called for a renegotiation of NAFTA, but President Trump is following through where others have failed time and time again.

In negotiating terms for USMCA, President Trump secured a number of big wins: - American auto manufacturers and workers will benefit from new rules of origin that require 75 percent of auto content to be produced in North America-incentivizing billions of dollars in additional U.S. auto parts production.

- The USMCA scores a big win for American farmers by eliminating Canada's "Class 7" program, which allowed others to undersell American dairy products. Canada will provide new access for U.S. dairy products, eggs, and poultry.

- USMCA's labor chapter represents the strongest labor provisions of any trade agreement in our country, all of which are fully enforceable

USMCA brings our trade relationship with Canada and Mexico into the 21st century. NAFTA failed repeatedly to keep up with the fast-changing American economy: The old rules helped incentivize offshoring, leading far too many manufacturing jobs to leave our country. The new agreement includes a modernized, high-standard chapter that provides strong protection and enforcement of U.S. intellectual property rights.

The First Lady takes 'Be Best' to Africa

First Lady Melania Trump departed this afternoon for Africa, her first major solo international trip as First Lady, taking her "Be Best" message to the nations of Ghana, Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt this week.

Since the launch of Be Best this spring, Mrs. Trump has met with children all over the world, bringing attention to the three pillars of well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse. During this week's trip, the First Lady will focus on maternal and newborn care in hospitals, education for children, and the deep culture and history that is woven into each African country she'll visit.

"Whether it is education, drug addiction, hunger, online safety or bullying, poverty or disease, it is too often children who are hit first, and hardest, across the globe," the First Lady said when announcing the trip. "Each of us hails from a country with its own unique challenges, but I know in my heart we are united by our commitment to raising the next generation to be happy, healthy and morally responsible adults."

Focus on Israel

1. UNRWA evacuates officials from Gaza to Israel - YNET News

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) had evacuated 10 of its international senior employees from Gaza to Israel on Monday, after they were threatened and harassed by UNRWA's disgruntled local Palestinian staff following the agency's announcement to cut more than 250 jobs.

The agency's senior officials were rescued and transferred to Israeli territory via the Erez crossing-which remained closed throughout the Jewish holidays but was re-opened by the Israeli security officials following an official request from UNRWA.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories issued an official statement, confirming the incident.

"A number of foreign UNRWA employees have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Israel. This is due to the tensions as a result of the financial crisis UNRWA is facing and subsequent concern for the safety of its foreign staff," stressed the statement.

2. Iran fires missiles with anti-Israel, -US slogans into Syria over parade attack - Times of Israel

TEHRAN - Iran's Revolutionary Guard launched six ballistic missiles as well as drone bombers early Monday toward eastern Syria, targeting terrorists it blamed for an attack on a military parade last month while also threatening Israel and other regional adversaries as Tehran's nuclear deal with world powers unravels.

The missiles had anti-Israel, anti-American and anti-Saudi slogans written on them. One missile shown on state television bore the slogans "Death to America, Death to Israel, Death to Al Saud," referring to Saudi Arabia's ruling family. The missile also bore in Arabic the phrase "kill the friends of Satan," referring to a verse in the Quran on fighting infidels.

3. Lebanon's FM: Israel seeks to 'justify another aggression' - YNET News

Lebanon's foreign minister said on Monday that Israel sought to "justify another aggression" by making false allegations of missile sites near Beirut airport belonging to Iran-backed Hezbollah.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the United Nations last week, identified three locations near the airport where he said the Shi'ite group Hezbollah was converting "inaccurate projectiles" into precision-guided missiles.

Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, speaking to foreign ambassadors before taking them on a tour of the area, said there were "many statements ... affirming the possession of accurate missiles by Hezbollah".

4. Germany's best-selling paper calls for end of Iran trade to protect Israel - Jerusalem Post

In an eye-popping commentary on Monday, Germany's top-selling paper BILD urged businesses to stop trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran because of its terrorism and the mullah regime's goal to obliterate the Jewish state.

The BILD's foreign policy editor Julian Röpcke wrote "This Iran cannot at this time be an ally. Neither in the fight against terrorism, nor as as oil supplier or trade partner." Röpcke, who reports on the Syrian war, termed Iran's missile launches into Syria as a "message of terror. Because they carry the meter-long inscriptions 'Death to Israel and 'Death to the USA'--and that is deadly serious for the mullahs."

Röpcke wrote that "Iran's rockets were not fired against the Islamic State, rather against those who stand in the way of the corrupt regime in Tehran. Against those who do not want to stand inactively by when Iran's leader again and again propagates the 'extermination' of Israel." The BILD has a daily circulation of 1,580,977.

5. Palestinians Declare General Strike over Nation-State Law - Algemeiner

Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem held a general strike on Monday to express opposition to Israel's new Nation-State Law. Passed by Israel's parliament in July, the Nation-State Law constitutionally enshrines Israel's Jewish character.

The legislation has come under fierce criticism at home and abroad. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has defended the law, saying it is necessary in order to fend off Palestinian challenges to Jewish self-determination. Across the Palestinian territories on Monday, Palestinian schools, universities, government offices, and shops were closed in solidarity with the Israeli-Arab minority, which shut down its private sector.

"It is the minimum we can do for our people against the racist nation-state law," said Abu Jabir al-Iraqi, a resident of the Israeli-Arab town Taybeh.

The Daily Brief

1. One of Kavanaugh's Late Accusers Is Referred for Prosecution for Lying- Breitbart

The Senate Judiciary Committee made a criminal referral Saturday for the Rhode Island man who claimed Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted his friend on a boat in 1985, asking that he be prosecuted for lying to Congress.

In a letter, Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) asks Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray that the accuser, whose name was redacted, be investigated for "potential violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1001 and 1505, for materially false statements [he] made to the Committee as part of its investigation of allegations against Judge Kavanaugh."

The accuser's name has been redacted in all Senate documents since this allegation first became public with the release of a transcript from Kavanaugh's Monday conference call under penalty of felony, in which he cateogorically denied it. Journalists, however, were quickly able to find the social media account referenced along with the allegation.

The account identified itself as "Jeffrey Catalan" and had been used to make calls for President Donald Trump to be overthrown by a military coup and accusations the president had murdered someone in 1983. The account describes its owner as a "Graphic Artist, Artist, photography and writer. Hippie, First Responder, Father and Grandpa" from Tiverton, Rhode Island. (Read more)

- Father, these unsubstantiated lies must stop. You are watching, and You know why this is happening and exactly who is doing it. We ask for justice!

- "Repay them, O Lord, according to the work of their hands." (Lamentations 3:64)

2. Mitchell says she would not bring criminal charges against Kavanaugh in memo - Fox News

Rachel Mitchell, the sex-crimes prosecutor who questioned Dr. Christine Blasey Ford last week, wrote in a memo released late Sunday that there were inconsistencies in Ford's testimony and that -- given the information at hand -- she would not bring criminal charges against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Mitchell, who was hired by the Senate Judiciary Committee to assist Republicans, addressed the letter to "All Republican Senators," and said no senator approved the memo. She noted in the assessment that she is a Republican, but said she is not a political person. She identified Ford's case as an example of "he said, she said," and said her case is "even weaker than that."

Ford, a California psychology professor, claims Kavanaugh assaulted her while at a house party in the 1980s when they were both teenagers. She said he pinned her to a bed, attempted to forcibly remove her clothes and prevented her from screaming. Ford said she was "100 precent" certain that Kavanaugh was her attacker.

Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegations. Mitchell, who worked as a sex-crimes prosecutor for nearly 25 years in Arizona, pointed out what she identified as timing inconsistencies. She wrote that Ford appeared to jump around on the timing of the alleged sexual assault, ranging from the "mid 1980s" to "early 1980s," and then the "summer of 1982." (Read more)

- Lord even in the midst of this prosecutor's expert opinion, people still attempt to dig up baseless claims. We ask for a stop to the clamor, the disunity.

- "Do not forget the voice of Your enemies; the tumult of those who rise up against You increases continously." (Psalm 74:23)

3. Newt Gingrich: Blue wave of liberal cash from California and New York flooding Georgia governor's race - Fox News

You've probably heard a lot about the supposed blue wave the political elite are predicting for the election cycle. I'm confident Republicans will keep control of the House and the Senate, but a different kind of blue wave is currently washing across several states.

It's a blue wave of liberal funding.

A massive flow of money from liberal donors in California and New York is pouring into traditionally Republican states and districts. We first saw this blue wave of cash during the special elections held to replace the Congressmen and Senators who were appointed to the Trump Administration. The most notable was the race between Republican Karen Handel and Democrat Jon Ossoff in my old district, the 6th District of Georgia.

This Georgia special election was the most expensive in history. According to The New York Times, the campaigns raised about $28 million - with the bulk, $23.6 million going to Ossoff. Of Ossoff's haul, 82 percent was from outside Georgia, and the majority of contributions came from notoriously left-wing states, like California and New York. (Read more)

- Lord, the Democrats are attempting to buy the votes of Americans. But You are God, and it is Your plan that will prevail!

4. Trump: China "attempting to interfere" with 2018 US election - Washington Times

President Donald Trump on Wednesday accused China of attempting to interfere in the upcoming United States congressional elections, claiming the Chinese are motivated by opposition to his tough trade policy. The Chinese said it wasn't so.

Trump, speaking in front of world leaders while chairing the United Nations Security Council for the first time, made his accusation amid the ongoing special counsel investigation into Russia's attempts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election to help him and concerns that the November elections could also be vulnerable.

"Regrettably, we found that China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election," Trump said "They do not want me or us to win because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade." (Read more)

- Lord, we pray for a solution to this war of words between the US and China. We thank You that we have a President who refuses to back down, and pray not only for his strength, but for a pathway through this rhetoric. If You can work out a deal with Canada and Mexico when their rhetoric was horrifying, You can work out something with China.

- "Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation." (Psalm 34:1)

5. The Mueller investigation: Where it stands at the midterms - The Hill

Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the election has yielded numerous bombshell developments, while enduring consistent attacks from President Trump and his allies. Thirty-seven have been charged in connection with the probe; eight have pleaded guilty; and six, including four Trump associates, have agreed to cooperate.

But more significant than what has been learned through Mueller's public filings, perhaps, are the remaining unknowns. Mueller has not answered the central question of whether there was collusion between Trump's campaign and Moscow, nor has he made a judgment on whether the president obstructed justice. Here is where the investigation stands 16 months after it began. (Read more)

- Father, as this investigation has brought no collusion to light, we pray that You will guard President Trump from vindictive adversaries and remove this constant distraction.

- "Let them be ashamed and confounded who seek my life; let them be turned back and confused who desire my hurt." (Psalm 70:2)

6. Vandals Deface Illinois County's GOP Headquarters with 'Rape' Graffiti - Breitbart

A group of vandals defaced an Illinois county's GOP headquarters early Sunday morning with the words "rape" and "shame" painted in graffiti. The vandalism on the front doors of the Winnebago County GOP's headquarters in Rockford, Illinois, was on full display Sunday morning, leading local Illinois Republicans and Democrats to swiftly condemn the violence, WREX reported.

"We can have our differences. We can have good spirited debate. I hope whoever is responsible for this will be brought to justice. You are a coward for doing it unless you come forward!" Illinois Rep. John Cabello, a Republican, posted on his Facebook page. Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara, a Democrat, also denounced the violence. "This type of behavior is unacceptable and certainly does not live up to our community's values. We all have differences but we must learn to disagree on policy without attacking people."

Some Republican leaders, like Illinois state Sen. Dave Syverson, believe that the violence may have been motivated by Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA) during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. "These are the unintended consequences, when you take politics to a level that she did," Syverson told WREX. "Unfortunately this probably wont' be the last."

Police are investigating to find out who carried out the vandalism. (Read more)

- Father, American politics has degenerated into this from violence to vandalism. Let Your Spirit come upon our nation, bringing true repentance and righteousness.

- "For godly sorrow produces repentance unto salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." (2 Corinthians 7:10)

7. Judge rules for Huntington Beach in its challenge to state's 'sanctuary' immigration law - LA Times

An Orange County Superior Court judge determined Thursday that California's "sanctuary state" protections for undocumented immigrants infringe on Huntington Beach's local control as a charter city, making Huntington the first city to successfully challenge the controversial law. Senate Bill 54, authored by state Senate leader Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles), in many cases prohibits state and local police agencies from notifying federal officials about the impending release of immigrants in custody who may be deported.

But after an hours-long courtroom debate Thursday, Judge James Crandall sided with Huntington Beach City Attorney Michael Gates' argument that the law is unconstitutional as it applies to charter cities, which are run by a charter adopted by local voters. The ruling makes Huntington Beach and all of California's 121 charter cities exempt from complying with SB54. (Read more)

- Lord, for California, this is a significant court ruling, putting their sanctuary law into serious question. We ask that You preserve it and protect the judge who ruled it. Let no harm come to him or his family.

- "For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more." (Psalm 37:10a)

8. 140 House Democrats Refuse to Condemn Illegal Aliens Voting - Breitbart

About 140 House Democrats voted "present" or against a resolution condemning localities across the United States for giving illegal aliens and noncitizens the right to vote in local elections. On Wednesday, about 71 Democrats and one Republican - Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) - voted against House Resolution 1071, which admonishes localities for giving illegal aliens and noncitizens voting rights. Another 69 House Democrats voted "present" on the resolution, while 49 Democrats joined 230 House Republicans to support the measure. The resolution calls out localities for giving local voting rights to illegal aliens and noncitizens, noting that giving noncitizens the right to vote disenfranchises American citizens from the electoral process:

Recognizing that allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens. Whereas voting is fundamental to a functioning democracy; Whereas the Constitution prohibits discrimination in voting based on race, sex, poll taxes, and age; Whereas it is of paramount importance that the United States maintains the legitimacy of its elections and protects them from interference, including interference from foreign threats and illegal voting; Whereas the Constitution allows States and localities to grant non-citizens the right to vote in non-Federal elections; [Emphasis added] (Read more)

- Lord, Democrats have become the party of lawlessness. We ask that You move among them, bringing repentance, changing hearts and minds.

- "I also examined on earth: where the halls of justice were supposed to be, there was lawlessness; and where the righteous were supposed to be, there was lawlessness. I told myself, "God will judge both the righteous and the wicked, because there is a time set to judge every event and every work." (Eccl 3:16)

9. He fought in World War II. He died in 2014. And he just registered to vote in Va. - Washington Post

The FBI and local police are investigating how at least 19 dead Virginians were recently re-registered to vote in this critical swing state.

One case came to light after relatives of a deceased man received a note congratulating him for registering, Rockingham County Commonwealth's Attorney Marsha Garst said Thursday.

"His family members were very distraught," said Garst, who confirmed the existence of the FBI and police investigation but said she could provide few details because the case is ongoing.

All 19 were initially registered as voters in the Shenandoah Valley city of Harrisonburg, although a clerk double-checking the entries later raised questions about one. She recognized the name of Richard Allen Claybrook Sr., who died in 2014 at age 87, because his son is a well-known local judge. She happened to recall that the judge's father had died. (Read more)

- Father, the left has constantly stated there is no such thing as "voter fraud," but this is just one case of hundreds around the nation. We ask for a return to the rule of law in America.

- "He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a special people, eager to do good works." (Titus 2:14)

10. U.S. Urged to Rapidly Prepare for Electromagnetic Pulse Attack - Free Beacon

The United States is vulnerable to a devastating electromagnetic pulse event caused by a high-altitude nuclear blast or solar superstorm, according to a recently published book.

Peter Pry, a former CIA analyst and author of the book EMP Manhattan Project, is urging the government to rapidly harden the U.S. electric power system against EMP similar to the three-year crash program to build the first atomic bomb in 1942.

"Today the United States and the world faces another existential threat-from an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) catastrophe that can be caused by nature or man, and topple the technological pillars of modern electronic civilization," said Pry, who served on a congressional EMP commission in the early 2000s.

The book contains fresh assessments of the EMP threat produced by a more recent congressional commission last year that concluded the United States would suffer millions of deaths from a major EMP incident. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You extend the Blood of Jesus over America, and in Your mercy, protect us against any EMP burst whether created by man or nature.

- "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge." (Psalm 91:4)

The power of accusation

We have watched the power of accusation play out on the national stage during the past few weeks. This power is so strong that it has divided families, communities, states, and even the nation as a whole. It matters not that the people reported to be present in the very room while the very act was taking place have corroborated none of the accusations. It only matters that the accusation was made, it was reported, amplified and believed by many. In this day and age, there are some things that only an accusation need be made and a person's character and reputation are tarnished whether guilty or innocent. You have heard the saying, "The Devil is in the details." Indeed, more so that you can imagine.

1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour." Revelation 12:10 says, "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accused them before our God day and night." About a third of Ephesians Chapter 6 is dedicated to reminding us how to deal with the Accuser. Verse 11 says, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Verse 13 exhorts, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Accusation has such power that even one of the Ten Commandments addresses it: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." In Hebrew, it's called "Lashon hara," or evil tongue. Leviticus 19:16 instructs, "Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among your people." The Hebrew writings say it is sin If someone says something negative about a person, or that is not previously known to public, and is seriously not intended to correct or improve a negative situation--even if it is true. The key is speaking the truth in love rather than in anger, condemnation, judgment or, in the case of what we have seen play out recently in our nation, political gain.

Proverbs 26:22 says, "The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly." You see, words have meaning. The Lord does not want people making false accusations against one another. Accusations, even if they are true, are not acceptable if their intent is to harm. Proverbs 1 warns against those who lurk privately for the innocent without cause, saying in verse 15, "My son, walk not you in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path." James says that no man can tame the tongue, "it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." There is deadly power in accusation. While we cannot control the accuser, we can control our response to the accusations. Let's respond with truth and intent to correct and improve-not by getting wrapped up in all the evil these accusations have brought.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

As you know, my wife, Carol, prepares a prayer alert about once a month. I hope you will share Carol's thoughts with your friends and fellow worshipers. Thank you for taking an interest in her monthly devotion. --Gary

As the upcoming week unfolds I ask for your prayers for our country and its future, for the state of our political conversations and for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his family.

I suspect you are painfully aware of the political and public policy stakes that hang in the balance. I know your eyes have been opened to see Washington's cutthroat atmosphere laid bare and at its worst.

Please lift up in prayer our divided country, each branch of government that has a role in the outcome and for the individual senators who will cast votes. Pray that their vote would be dependent on relevant, provable facts involving this nominee and that the whole process would not get swept up in a larger social movement. Ask God for justice.
Finally, pray for Judge Kavanaugh, an exemplary nominee with a sterling record who has been the victim of unproven accusations and vile innuendoes. Ask God to give him strength and determination in the days ahead. May he know and feel the Lord's presence each moment in the days ahead.
Pray for his wife, Ashley, and daughters Margaret and Liza. They have been by his side supporting and encouraging him in a circus-like atmosphere few could have anticipated. Ask God to provide times of joy and comfort and bonding for this family through this challenging season.
This process has created far too many victims. Ask our heavenly Father to place His healing hand on the wounded and betrayed who were used in a harsh political spotlight they did not seek.

Heal our land, dear Lord.

The streets are lined with outdoor, make-shift morgues and the death toll is likely to climb dramatically. The airport has been damaged, making it challenging to get relief to them. It is "an excruciating recovery effort that is just beginning to get underway as the death toll climbs. To date, at least 844 people have died in the catastrophe, but a local report has described scenes of widespread tragedy, with "bodies everywhere."

A Message from Dr. James Dobson

A Message from Dr. James Dobson:

Dr. James Dobson Calls for Urgent Prayer Over Brett Kavanaugh's
"Wounded Family": Mrs. Kavanaugh Asks for Psalm 40 Prayer

"We're asking the Lord during the day and into the night to defeat the schemes of those who clearly want to destroy this great nation. I'm not accusing Dr. Ford of anything . . . but something else is going on here." - Dr. James Dobson

Dr. James Dobson and his wife, Shirley, called for urgent prayer over the Kavanaugh family in an email sent to hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

"Shirley and I have been praying urgently for weeks about the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh, and for his wife Ashley and their precious daughters," Dobson said in the email.

He continued: I'm sure millions of other Christians are doing the same. We're asking the Lord during the day and into the night to defeat the schemes of those who clearly want to destroy this great nation. I'm not accusing Dr. Ford of anything. She might remember the ghosts of her past, though the facts appear to contradict her description of them. But something else is going on here. At its core, this isn't just another political conflict. Swirling around us is a life and death struggle for the soul of America. It is a profound spiritual battle that touches something deep within me. We are left with an agonized prayer: "God, please help us."
The Dobson's say Ashley Kavanaugh specifically asked for Believers around the country to pray Psalm 40 over her and her family and the nation.
The passage reads:
I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth-
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.

6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire;
My ears You have opened.
Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.
7 Then I said, "Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart."

9 I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness
In the great assembly;
Indeed, I do not restrain my lips,
O Lord, You Yourself know.
10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;
I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation;
I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.

11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me.
12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me;
My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up;
They are more than the hairs of my head;
Therefore my heart fails me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me;
O Lord, make haste to help me!
14 Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion
Who seek to destroy my life;
Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor Who wish me evil.
15 Let them be confounded because of their shame, Who say to me, "Aha, aha!"

16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
"The Lord be magnified!"
17 But I am poor and needy;
Yet the Lord thinks upon me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Do not delay, O my God.

[Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
