CHPP - Day of Purification and Humiliation - November 29 - 30, 2013

Day of Purification and Humiliation

Friday, November 29, 2013

"Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent . . . " (Acts 17:30)

Day of Purification and Humiliation

Day of Purification and Humiliation:

Beginning this evening at sundown . . .
Continuing through tomorrow night at sundown

November 29 - 30, 2013

Dear Friends,

Today is the day that Pastor Jeff Daly and others across the world have set aside tonight and tomorrow (sundown to sundown) as a day of Purification and Humiliation before our Lord.

I believe that the name of this day stands on its own merit and needs no further explanation, only to know that the intention of this initiative is to allow each one of us to come before our Lord in our own prayer closets with fasting, prayers, and acts of repentance/purification/humiliation.

In preparation for this time, I would like to share the verse Abba quickened to me this morning in my devotional time:

"Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent . . . " (Acts 17:30)

In addition, we are including a teaching, "Half-Full or Full?" (author unknown), for your own prayerful consideration in your own time of quiet and hidden repentance before our Lord. May our Lord find each one of us with our lamps FULL upon His soon return, and with only PURE OIL in those lamps, upon His soon return!!

Blessings to all,

The Daily Brief

1. Interim deal on Iran splits Congress on new sanctions - Times of Israel

For all the disappointment they expressed following the deal on Iran's nuclear program, skeptics in Congress appear to be willing to give the agreement brokered by the Obama administration space to breathe - albeit with tough new punitive measures in place should Iran fail to live up to its end of the bargain. (Read more)

- Father, we pray protection for Israel and the Middle East in general, against the evil plans of Iranian leaders. You are the Great Protector of Your people, and we stand on Your name.

- "Some may trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)

2. Obama's failure of moral courage - Times of Israel

But leadership comes down to moral courage. Now, with the Iran deal the loser is not just the State of Israel. It is the leadership of President Obama. We're back to an American foreign policy prepared to make deals with terror funding states, unfreezing billions of dollars in assets for a temporary halt to their nuclear ambitions. (Read more)

- Lord, we have sinned beyond our comprehension, but we cry out for Your mercy over us.

- "Give us help from trouble; for vain is the help of man." (Psalm 108:12)

3. History Repeating Itself: Obama has Sold out Israel Just Like Chamberlain Sold out Czechoslovakia - Hebrew Nation News

A thorough analysis comparing the Chamberlain deal that he brokered to carve up Czechoslovakia and hand it over to Hitler to "appease" him (the Munich deal), comparing it to the Geneva deal that just went down. The parallels are astounding. (Read more)

- Praise the Lord for those who now have their eyes wide open, as does the author of this article, to the facts that are staring us in the face. May many millions of American citizens now rise up with the same awareness and protest Obama's actions at Geneva! Our voices need to be heard, and our voices of WARNING need to be heeded. Pray and take action now!

- "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits."
(Daniel 11:32)

4. Obama biography, required reading, tells fourth-graders that white Americans are racists - Daily Caller

Some parents in Dupo, Ill. are not happy that a biography of President Barack Obama is required reading for fourth-graders. They say the book contains a host of controversial elements, not least of which is that it casts white Americans who disagree with Obama's politics as racist. Fourth-grade students at Bluffview Elementary School were instructed that they would be tested and graded on the book's contents, reports EAGnews.org. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, have mercy on us and our children! Lord, we stand and repent for the church and our nation that things have sunken so far that school systems are using this book to twist the minds of our youth. Forgive us Father, and please protect the minds of our children from this poisonous stream of teaching. We pray in the Name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

- "When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ." (I Corinthians 8:12)

5. Have You Seen the New Time Magazine Cover? -TownHall.com

Now that the Big Lie has been exposed for everyone to see, it's going to take some time for it to sufficiently sink in. I imagine most low-information voters who don't follow politics regularly - the obvious exception being people who've already negatively impacted by the Affordable Care Act - aren't too familiar with the president's now-broken "if you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan" pledge. That will all change soon enough.

Now, of course, when Americans head to the grocery store - or perhaps to their local pharmacy - this cover will be staring them blankly in the face as they wait in the check-out line. (Read more)

- Abba Father, may what this article says about the Time Magazine cover awaken those in the grocery or pharmacy lines who often do not pay that much attention to what is occurring in our nation. May they react in a manner to voice their concerns and requesting action from their elected officials. We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "Our help is in the Name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 124:8)

6. USPS ad for 'holiday stamps' omits Christmas - includes Kwanzaa, Hanukkah - Washington Times

Where's Christmas? As one social media commentator rapidly noticed, a recent U.S. Postal Service advertisement to sell "holiday stamps" curiously omitted a Christmas or Christian-themed message, yet included portrayals of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. (Read more)

- Abba Father, this article is amazing! They have 'removed' all reference to Your Son from this holiday and have instead a 'ginger bread house' on a stamp. Forgive us Father for we have sinned and let it come to this! We fall before You to ask forgiveness and to repent, in the Name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

- "Do they not go astray who devise evil? But mercy and truth belong to those who devise good." (Proverbs 14: 22)

7. LONDON: Britain's public health chief warns of catastrophic global gay HIV epidemic - VirtueOnline

Fenton laid the blame for the epidemic squarely on the two most obvious characteristics of homosexual sex: anal intercourse and promiscuity. The UK's National Director of Health and Wellbeing warns that there is an increasing and potentially catastrophic HIV epidemic in homosexual men in every part of the world. (Read more)

- Father, we ask for Your healing touch on the hearts of homosexuals across the world. We pray for a revelation of Your love, salvation, and power to each.

- "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:17)

6. Obama touts Iran deal as 'right move, good for Israel' - Times of Israel

The interim nuclear deal with Iran serves the interests of the United States and its allies and was not signed merely for political expediency, US President Barack Obama said at a fundraising dinner in California Monday night.

The Persecuted Church

At Least 71 Christians Killed in Coordinated Attacks on Christian Villages in Nigeria - Morning Star News

Suspected Muslim herdsmen slaughtered 37 Christians in coordinated attacks on four Plateau state villages early this morning after Boko Haram terrorists killed at least 34 Christians in Borno state earlier this month, sources said.

In attacks on the four predominantly Christian villages that started at 1 a.m. in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area in Plateau State in central Nigeria, ethnic Fulani herdsmen killed 37 people, injured many others and destroyed homes, the military's Special Task Force spokesman, Salisu Mustapha, said in a press statement.

"The attackers killed 13 persons in Katu Kapang, eight in Daron, nine in Tul and seven others in Rawuru," he said.

Mustapha told Morning Star News by phone that the heavily-armed assailants were believed to be Muslim Fulani herdsmen. Soldiers were still trying to repel the attackers as he spoke.

The Miyetti Allah cattle-rearing association reportedly denied that Fulani herdsmen were responsible for attacking the villages.

Most mainstream media mentioned vague accusations of cattle theft or unsupported statements of political and land disputes as possible motivations for the attacks, although in recent months Muslim Fulani herdsmen have increased the unprovoked slaughter of unarmed Christians in their homes that has taken place for several years in Plateau state.

Christian leaders otherwise at a loss to explain the increase in attacks believe Islamic extremist groups are inciting Fulani Muslims to attack them in Plateau state as well as in Kaduna, Bauchi, Nasarawa and Benue states. They fear that the herdsmen, with backing from Islamic extremist groups, want to take over the predominantly Christian areas in order to acquire land for grazing, stockpile arms and expand Islamic territory. Hit-and-run, guerrilla-style attacks on Christian villages in which children are shot to death as they sleep support their suspicion that the assaults are motivated by desire to eliminate Christianity.

Fallout of Iranian Deal

Fears Over Iranian Deal Hasten New Regional Alliances

The interim Geneva agreement between the P5+1 nations and Iran that eases some international sanctions on the Islamic Republic in return for suspending its uranium enrichment program, has been hailed in many quarters as a major diplomatic triumph, but not in Israel and not in the Sunni Muslim states of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.

Those in favor of the agreement stress that they have not been deceived by Iran. "Verification is the key," said Secretary of State John Kerry, insisting that the United States had "no illusions" and was aware of the danger of easing up on Iran. It had entered into the deal "with eyes absolutely wide open."

There is also the stick behind the carrot that any reneging by Iran might result in possible military action, although the dithering U.S. policy on Syria hardly strengthens that threat. With the American public's appetite for another war at an apparent all-time low, the feeling is that even if the Geneva deal falls apart, Israel might be left to act without direct U.S. participation against Iranian nuclear facilities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday reiterated his long-held opposition to the deal. "What was achieved last night in Geneva is not a historic agreement; it is a historic mistake. Today the world has become a much more dangerous place because the most dangerous regime in the world has taken a significant step toward attaining the most dangerous weapon in the world."

A number of respected voices from within Israel, including former Chief of Defense Intelligence Amos Yadlin, believe that the deal should be given a chance, emphasizing that it is only the first step on a potentially long road of negotiations. "If this was a final agreement, it would indeed be a very bad deal, but this is not the case," Yadlin said. "I hope that the prime minister is now formulating a strategy to see what happens in the next six months."
But what is it in the P5+1 deal with Iran that the Israelis, the Saudis, and other Sunni states in the region find hard to swallow? (Read entire article here)

AIPAC Statement on Iran Deal

U.S. Must Prevent a Nuclear-Capable Iran

Now that the P5+1 has inked an initial agreement with Iran, America must not only ensure full Iranian compliance but also insist that any final deal deny Tehran a nuclear weapons capability. Tough sanctions legislation passed by Congress and vigorous diplomacy pursued by the administration have brought Iran to negotiations. However, the initial agreement raises many concerns-including implicit acceptance of Iranian enrichment. Congress has provided the leverage to spur Iran to seek talks; now it must press the administration to negotiate a verifiable agreement that will prevent Iran from ever building nuclear weapons. Congress must also legislate additional sanctions, so that Iran will face immediate consequences should it renege on its commitments or refuse to negotiate an acceptable final agreement.

Thanksgiving Thoughts from FRC

Our American Thanksgiving: A Gracious Gift

The first thing we can thank God for this Thanksgiving is that we Americans still have Thanksgiving. This holiday, so bound up with our history and our traditions, is in danger. Most department stores have long since put up their Christmas - correction -- holiday decorations and filled the air with "Yuletide" carols. With more and more national retail chains opening for business on Thanksgiving Day, we have to ask: Will Thanksgiving Day give way to Black Thursday in years to come? Will it be no more than the kickoff for the season of year-end bargain-hunting? Will an unrelenting materialism drive out any time for home and hearth?

One of the great reasons we have so honored the Chick-fil-A company is that they close on Sundays, the Lord's Day. As unusual as this is, even more unusual is the reason the Cathy family has long given its customers for the day of rest: It is so their workers can spend the day with their loved ones. Turning aside from this headlong rush toward secularism, we can celebrate another bounteous harvest with the words of the great New England poet, John Greenleaf Whittier:
Give fools their gold and knaves their power; Let fortune's bubble rise and fall; Who sows a field, or trains a flower, Or plants a tree, is more than all.
In the United States, the origins of Thanksgiving Day are usually traced to the Pilgrim Fathers and their arrival at Plymouth Rock in 1620. These English Protestants sought refuge in Massachusetts so they might practice their religion unharried by royal mandates. The Pilgrims voyaged to the rocky, forbidding coast of New England aboard the tiny sailing ship, Mayflower.

Their Mayflower Compact was the first charter of government by the consent of the governed to be framed for the Pilgrims' "errand into the wilderness." So, from the beginning, religious freedom and self-government were inextricably bound together. The New England town meetings that grew out of the Mayflower Compact were the seedbed of American Independence a century and a half later.

So powerful was the Pilgrim story for much of our history that even two centuries later, the great French writer Alexis de Tocqueville could observe of Plymouth Rock:

This Rock has become an object of veneration in the United States. I have seen bits of it carefully preserved in several towns in the Union. Does this sufficiently show that all human power and greatness is in the soul of man? Here is a stone which the feet of a few outcasts pressed for an instant; and the stone becomes famous; it is treasured by a great nation; its very dust is shared as a relic.

. . . Celebrating the harvest as we do, thankful for the rich bounty of America's farms, rivers, lakes, and seas as we are, we need to remember they are the gracious gifts of the Most High God. If we do this, we may look ahead hopefully to many of Thanksgivings to come.

b. The Greek word for DAY in 2 Peter 3:8 is "HEMERA", and is translated: "the time space between dawn and dusk; "a period of time"; "an age". 2 Peter 3:8 tells us: "One DAY is with the Lord AS a thousand years, and a thousand years AS one day". From God's perspective, this can be literal or symbolic; 1 DAY = 1,000 years.
c. A "day" speaks of a set period of time, not necessarily 24 hours. See Mark 14:25; 2 Peter 3:10-12; 2 Corinthians 6:2; Hebrews 4:8; 1 Thessalonians 5:5; Revelation 21:25.
d. The term "Third Day" is a biblical pattern seen in scripture. It points to an act of divine intervention which impacts salvation's history.

The Good News Corner:

Prayer for President Obama

"This is a statement that can be trusted and deserves complete acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and I am the foremost sinner." (I Timothy 1:15)

Father, we lift Barack Hussein Obama before Your Throne of Grace, and ask that You give him an Isaiah 6 throne room experience (Is. 6:1-5) so that he might have a life-changing encounter with the Living God. (Romans 5:20) We ask You to pour out Your rivers of grace and mercy upon him. We pray that You would circumcise the foreskin of his mind and heart so that he would no longer be stubborn and hardened. (Deut. 10:16, TAB) We pray that You would send Your angels to position him to receive Your magnanimous Love, so that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith. (Ephesians 3:17) We pray that Light would flood his darkened mind (Ephesians 1:18), so that he would be filled with all the fullness of God and the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. (Ephesians 3:19 & Colossians 1:9)

We ask You, Father, to qualify him to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the Light, and to deliver him from the power of darkness. We proclaim the Redemptive, life-giving power of the Blood of Christ over his life, his family, and his staff. May Your angels watch over them and keep them in all their ways today. (Ps. 91:11) May the Angel of the Lord encamp around the President and deliver him from every evil. (Ps. 34:7) Keep him from the snares the enemy has laid for him, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity. (Ps. 141:9-10) We thank you for de-magnetizing him so that all evil supports and connections are cut off and removed - and he is free to cleave to the Lord.* We loose him from the influence of ungodly council, falsehood, and deception - including his alignment with radical Islam - and bind his mind, will and emotions to TRUTH and the will and purposes of God for our nation. We loose him from all passions of the flesh and worldly thinking and bind him to a Biblical World View.
Lord, may You strengthen him with might by Your glorious power, that he would be an instrument for noble purposes, useful to You for accomplishing every good work for the sake of this nation, our prophetic destiny, and for the sake of Your holy Name. For why should the nations say of us, "Where is their God?" (Ps. 79:10)

SHALOM Grace and peace in God our Father and the LORD Jesus Christ.

The following is an update and a call to stand with our brothers and sisters in Australia who in obedience to God's call to them are humbling themselves under the mighty hand of God in this call for a Day of Purity and Humiliation. I received the general detail and information from Ps Jeff Daly from America and have been sharing with brother Kris Schlyder in Australia and confirmed with him our support to cover Australia at this time for answered prayer through their acts of obedience that in so doing God our Father of all Nations will raise Australia up as a Nation united as a strong warrior of righteousness in power and authority that stands firm amongst the nations in the day of battle in the day of evil against all unrighteousness with the Word of God the Sword of the Spirit.

I have also been praying that many intercessors throughout our prayer networks would also sense a move of the Holy Spirit falling on our Nation and region of the Great Southlands of the Holy Spirit and that many nations that receive this from our networks; that they too will humble their hearts under the mighty hand of God that would allow an overflowing blessing to fall on us and our nations for a true heartfelt cry of repentance in the grace and truth in Jesus Christ our LORD and Saviour also in our nation and the nations of the earth that intercessors are willing to respond to under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

At the base of this email is Jeff Daly "Yes HE Can" please click on the detail as shown and participate as the HOLY SPIRIT leads. Let us prophecy decree and proclaim the scripture for Australia, even with an overflow blessings to the nations.

Isaiah 26:2 "Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in."

FOLLOWING IS THE EMAIL FROM BROTHER KRIS SCHLYDER OF THE AUSTRALIAN INDIGENOUS PRAYER NETWORK
THAT EXPLAINS THE CALL THAT HE HAS SENT OUT TO THE NETWORK HE COORDINATES (Excerpt)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Below is a call to a National Day of Purity & Humiliation - from sunset Friday 29 November to sunset Saturday 30 November 2013 - issued jointly by Dr Hilary Moroney and Chaplain Paul Moroney of the Canberra House of Prayer for All Nations, and Pastor Jeffrey Daly of National Day of Repentance ministries in USA.

The Lord has called us, all the members of the Australian Indigenous Prayer Network, to join them in this day of humility and repentance. Through Pastor Jeffrey this call has gone out to members of the body of Christ in some 30 nations, which would probably include all the nations represented in our network.

He has since informed me that our sister Sara Ballenger at the Capitol Hill Prayer Partners in Washington DC had passed his email about this Australian call to her 4,500 intercessors, who were asked to participate and also to share it with their networks.

How we are to participate

Please read Pastor Jeff's email below which gives a full explanation. Click on the Call for a National Day of Purity and Humiliation in the body of his email to read the joint call to prayer. Let the Holy Spirit lead you on how to participate during those 24 hours, and how to pray.

I understand that Pastor Warren Lyons will be sending this email of mine out to the members of the networks he coordinates.

With love in Christ Jesus,

Kris Schlyder

Coordinator
Australian Indigenous Prayer Network

From Jeff Daly (also an excerpt!)

Participation in this event is simple. Join us during all of part of this Day of Purity & Humiliation in your family devotion, your Church service, your community or simply in your private prayer time. During that time, invite the Holy Spirit into your heart (Revelation 3:20), confess your sins to Him, sincerely repent choosing His Purity and receive His forgiveness and His abounding joy. We believe that the Body of Christ needs to stand in the gap like Nehemiah through intercessory earnest prayer and seek the Lord's forgiveness for our personal, family and national sins.

Final note from Sara Ballenger:

Thank you for prayerfully considering setting aside a part of this 24-hour period for your own time of personal repentance, reflection and cleansing before our Lord. Allow Him to show you any obstacles that are standing in the way of Him filling you with the knowledge of His love for you. If we are willing, He is able!

Let's each purpose in our own hearts to enter into His presence by the "narrow way" of repentance, for the wide gate leads only to destruction. (Matthew 7:13,14) Praise God for His mercies upon each one of us during this wonderful season of Thanksgiving. Amen.
