1. Israel actively pushing Palestinian emigration from Gaza, official says - Times Of Israel

KYIV, Ukraine - Israel is actively promoting the emigration of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, and is working to find other countries who may be willing to absorb them, a senior Israeli official said Monday.

Israel is ready to carry the costs of helping Gazans emigrate, and would even be willing to consider allowing them to use an Israeli air field close to Gaza to allow them to leave for their new host countries, the official said, apparently referring to air force bases deep inside Israel.

The senior official, in Ukraine as part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's delegation to Kiev, spoke on condition of anonymity.

2. Hamas threatens escalation - Israel National News

The Lebanese Al Akhbar newspaper on Tuesday morning quoted a Hamas source who claimed that the terror groups have sent a clear message saying that if Israel does not implement the understandings, they will begin escalating the situation.

According to the paper, the understandings Israel must implement include allowing the Qatari money into Gaza each month and increasing the electricity it supplies to Gaza by the end of this week.

Qatari envoy Mohammed al-Emadi is expected to arrive in Gaza via Israel on Thursday, bringing Gaza's monthly "stipend" with him, in cash. The funds are intended for poor people in Gaza. Al-Emadi will also bring diesel fuel for use in operating Gaza's only power plant.

Israel has alread allowed two installments of $15 million in Qatari money into Gaza. The funds were supposed to have been distributed in six installments, but Israel postponed the third following the shooting of an IDF soldier by a terrorist from Gaza.

3. 'Next Gaza war will be harsher than Protective Edge' - Israel National News

On the Hamas threat of escalation if Qatari money is not delivered by the end of the week, Minister Akunis says that what they do not understand in Israel's warnings "they will understand the actions. The fact that there have been Hamas provocation and metastatic attacks over the past two weeks in an attempt to test us, including severe shooting and infiltration attempts, and we have dealt with them by killing [the perpetrators]."

"The government's policy is clear. If it seems necessary, there will be very aggressive action in the Gaza Strip. It is wrong to talk to the media about the nature of the operation. [We know] ways in which the enemy listens to us at all times and it is not good for him to know what he should prepare for, but it is clear that this campaign on our part will be far more aggressive than Operation Protective Edge and Operation Pillar of Defense," Akunis said.

Minister Akunis says that "there is a very wide range of considerations before embarking on this campaign. There are military considerations and additional arms of other systems. The elections will not limit the campaign against the Gaza Strip."

4. Amman Parliament Urges Government to Reconsider Jordan-Israel Peace Treaty - Jewish Press

The Jordanian House of Representatives has voted to recommend the Amman government expel Israeli Ambassador Amir Weissbrod from the country and recall Jordan's Ambassador from Israel.

The action comes in response to "the attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli authorities," as the Jordanian authorities are referring to the actions taken by Israeli police in defending themselves last week from the violence of a mob of rioting Muslim worshipers in the Temple Mount compound who hoped to prevent Jewish visitors from entering the sacred site, which is holy to Jews as well.

The Jordanian Parliament also called on the government to reconsider the Jordanian peace treaty with Israel, according to a report that appeared Monday on the Arabic-language website of Sky News, but not on its English-language site. The reported non-binding recommendation to the Jordanian government to reconsider the peace treaty, also did not appear at all in any Jordanian media coverage.

5. Netanyahu won't rule out 'broad' government with center-left - report - Times Of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly said he would not rule out a "broad" coalition government that includes elements of the center-left.

Netanyahu has vowed that he would not forge a unity government with chief rival Blue and White, but in a private conversation reported in Hebrew media, he expressed a willingness to form a government with the centrist party and those to its left.

But, he added, his government would be based first and foremost on Likud's "natural" partners, right-wing and Haredi parties.

1. Trump Defunds Planned Parenthood; Arizona Jury Awards Whistle Blower Ex-Director Millions - Restoring Liberty

Nearly two years after Mayra Rodriguez sued the abortion provider Planned Parenthood for wrongful termination after she exposed negative health complications for women using their services, a jury awarded the Arizona woman $3 million in damages this past Friday.

Rodriguez worked for the abortion behemoth for 17 years. Rodriguez reported "high complication rates for one abortionist" and also "exposed the abortionist's illegal conduct falsification of affidavits and patient records, incomplete abortions, and failure to report a minor who had an adult partner and was a victim of statutory rape." Rodriguez, who ran three Planned Parenthood clinics in Arizona, turned to Abby Johnson's "And Then There Were None" non-profit.

Planned Parenthood receives more than $500 million annually from United States' taxpayers for their activities. Planned Parenthood receives about $60 million each year from Title X funding. Planned Parenthood announced Monday that it will not comply with a new Trump administration rule banning it from referring patients for abortion services and will no longer be eligible to receive federal Title X funding for family planning. -Father God, we pray more former abortion clinic workers will have the courage to come forward, receive forgiveness and healing from You, and work to expose the actions of co-workers and the operations of these clinics.

2. Trump Considers New Tax Cut for Middle Class, Blasts Fed After Investors Rattled by Recession Fears - CBN News

After investors were rattled last week by fears about a possible recession on the horizon, the president is criticizing Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, calling him 'clueless' and lacking in vision.

President Trump called on the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates by a full point. A survey by the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) shows 75 percent of economists believe there will be a recession by 2021.

White House officials are discussing further actions to spur the economy, including a cut in the payroll to help the middle class. Cutting payroll taxes may help the middle class, but critics say they could harm the safety net programs they fund. But those talks are in the early stages and additional tax cuts are still on the agenda for discussion. (Read more)

-Father, we pray President Trump, his administration, and Congress will make the best decisions to support our economy and our people.

-He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. (Psalm 25:9)

3. Following Epstein's Prison Death, Barr Appoints New Federal Prison Chief - Restoring Liberty

Attorney General William Barr has named Dr. Kathleen Hawk Sawyer as the acting director of the Bureau of Prisons. Dr. Hawk Sawyer was the first female director of the BOP and was appointed by Barr during his first stint as attorney general back in 1992. She remained at that position until 2003.

Barr also named Dr. Thomas R. Kane acting deputy director. He has previously served as BOP chief of staff, assistant director, deputy director, and acting director under four previous attorneys general, the release says.

"Under Dr. Hawk Sawyer's previous tenure at the Bureau, she led the agency with excellence, innovation, and efficiency, receiving numerous awards for her outstanding leadership," said Attorney General Barr in a statement. "During this critical juncture, I am confident Dr. Hawk Sawyer and Dr. Kane will lead BOP with the competence, skill, and resourcefulness they have embodied throughout their government careers." -Father God, we pray Dr. Sawyer and Dr. Kane will be successful in establishing professionalism and discipline throughout our prison system.

-Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. (Proverbs 12:1)

4. Tom Perez Holds Fundraisers In Mexico As DNC Struggles To Raise Money - Daily Caller

Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez will hold three fundraisers for American ex-patriots in Mexico, as Democrats struggle to keep pace with Republicans in fundraising. Perez will host three events in Mexico City on Sept. 28, Bloomberg reported. One event is a happy hour that will cost $25 to attend. Perez will also host a dinner where tickets are going for between $1,000 and $15,000.

The DNC will require attendees to provide information showing that they are American citizens or permanent residents, in order to comply with federal campaign finance laws. About 1.5 American citizens live in Mexico, Bloomberg reported, citing State Department data.

The DNC under Perez's watch has lagged far behind Republicans in terms of fundraising. The DNC took in $8.5 million in contributions in June, while the Republican National Committee reported $20.7 million. (Read more)

5. Senator Lindsay Graham Predicts IG Report Will Be 'Ugly and Damning' - American Greatness

Appearing on Maria Bartiromo's show on Sunday, Graham said "I want it all out. I want people to see how off the rails this investigation got, and I want people to be held accountable." Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been investigating the government's misleading shenanigans with the FISA court since March of 2018.

"I believe the Horowitz report is going to be ugly and damning regarding the Department of Justice handling of the Russia probe," Graham said on Sunday. He also said he wants as much as the report declassified as possible.

"I really am very curious about the role the CIA played here. We know that the FISA warrant application was based on a dossier prepared by Christopher Steele who was biased against Trump that was unverified," he said. "What role did the CIA play? Who knew about this in the White House?" asked Graham. (Read more)

-Father God, we pray the timing of these revelations will advance Your purpose for our nation.

6. Judge orders FBI to search for ALL documents related to bogus 'Russia dossier' composer Christopher Steele - National Sentinel

A federal judge has ordered the FBI to search for and produce all documents related to the bureau's one-time asset, former British spy Christopher Steele, who produced the long-discredited "Russia dossier" fired FBI Director James Comey and others used to obtain surveillance warrants against the 2016 Trump campaign.

U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper, in issuing his ruling, said that the public's interest outweighed Steele's privacy rights and ordered the FBI to complete the search within 60 days. The dossier, which was never verified, was used to obtain at least four surveillance warrants, including two after President Trump was inaugurated.

"The court was right to turn aside the FBI's fake concerns for Clinton spy Christopher Steele's privacy and order the agency to search for more records on its use of Steele and his Dossier to target President Trump," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. "That the FBI is still protecting Christopher Steele and the Clinton spy ring at Fusion GPS should tell you there is much more corruption to be exposed in the coup efforts against President Trump." -Lord of hosts, we pray our intelligence agencies will not be able to conceal any incriminating documentation from those holding them accountable.

-And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. (Genesis 4:10)

7. Conservative Fight Against 'Red Flag' Laws Slows Washington's Gun-Control Push - Epoch Times

With the Republican Party's conservative base opposing a potential federal "red flag" gun confiscation bill, President Donald Trump may be reconsidering backing the controversial measure.

Trump initially offered his stated support for a theoretical bill championed by Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and John Thune of South Dakota, which would provide financial incentives for states to install measures to disarm potentially dangerous people.

These programs, already active in 17 states and the nation's capital, allow police officers to seize a person's guns if the person becomes the subject of a red flag warning report from police, a family member, or even a former live-in boyfriend or girlfriend. If a judge determines the person is a danger to himself or others, often at a hearing at which the gun owner isn't present, then his or her guns are confiscated. (Read more)

8. Trump: We Have to Start Building Mental Institutions Again - CNS News

President Donald Trump said Thursday that it's time to start building mental institutions again to deal with mentally ill people like those behind mass shootings. "We're looking at the whole gun situation. I do want people to remember the words 'mental illness.' These people are mentally ill and nobody talks about that, but these are mentally ill people, and people have to start thinking about it," the president said.

"I think we have to start building institutions again because, you know, if you look at the '60s and '70s, so many of these institutions were closed, and the people were just allowed to go onto the streets, and that was a terrible thing for our country. They closed them. Cities couldn't afford them, and they closed them," Trump said.

Asked whether he was pushing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on background checks, Trump said, "Yeah, we do. I've been speaking to Mitch about that. I've been speaking to everybody about it, and we don't want to see crazy people owning guns, but I also want to remember that mental illness is something nobody wants to talk about. (Read more)

9. Ohio white nationalist, anti-Semite arrested for threatening to shoot up Jewish community center, police say - ABC News

An Ohio man has been arrested for making threats toward a local Jewish community center in New Middletown. James Reardon Jr., 20, has been charged with telecommunications harassment and aggravated menacing and is being held in the Mahoning County Jail on $250,000 bond with a court hearing planned for Monday morning.

On Friday, the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force raided Reardon's house and seized a cache of weapons and ammunition, including dozens of round of ammo, multiple semi-automatic weapons, a gas mask and bulletproof armor.

Police initially became aware of Reardon on July 11 when he posted a video on Instagram of a man shooting a semi-automatic rifle with sirens and screams in the background. He tagged the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown in the post. The FBI has not yet announced whether they will pursue federal charges against Reardon. (Read more)

-Father God, we thank You for alerting authorities to this dangerous man. We pray all such people will be stopped prior to hurting others.

-For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder (Mark 7:21)

10. Pence Asks Beijing To Honor British-Sino Treaty Before Any Trade Deal - Epoch Times

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence warned Beijing that any violent crackdown in Hong Kong on protesters would harm the Sino-U.S. trade talks, reiterating a remark made by the U.S. President Donald Trump a day earlier.

"For the United States to make a deal with China, Beijing needs to honor its commitments-beginning with the commitment China made in 1984 to respect the integrity of Hong Kong's laws through the Sino-British joint declaration," Pence stated in a speech given at the Detroit Economic Club on Aug. 19.

The 1984 bilateral treaty was drafted to stipulate how Hong Kong's sovereignty would be transferred from Britain to China in 1997, whereby both sides agreed to retain the territory's autonomy and freedoms not afforded in the mainland, under the "one country, two systems" model for 50 years.

"As the president said yesterday, it will be much harder for us to make a deal if something violent happens in Hong Kong. And I want to assure you, our administration will continue to urge Beijing to act in a humanitarian manner and urge China and the demonstrators in Hong Kong to resolve their differences peacefully," Pence added. (Read more)

-Father God, we lift up the people of Hong Kong, many of whom turn to You for help in this time of crisis. Restore their freedom and give them victory.

-Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. (Psalm 20:6)

Anatomy of a hate filled political stunt

Tuesday, August 20, 2019

On August 15, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayau barred Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from an official visit to Israel. Netanyahu explained in his statement: "As a vibrant and free democracy, Israel is open to any critic and criticism, with one exception: Israel's law prohibits the entry of people who call and operate to boycott Israel. Congressmen Tlaib and Omar are leading activists in promoting boycott legislation against Israel in the US Congress. Only a few days ago, we received their visitation plan, and it became clear that they were planning a campaign whose sole purpose was to strengthen the boycott and negate Israel's legitimacy."

Omar issued a statement: "It is an affront that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, under pressure from President Trump, would deny entry to representatives of the US government. Trump's Muslim ban is what Israel is implementing, this time against two duly elected Members of Congress. Denying entry into Israel not only limits our ability to learn from Israelis, but also to enter the Palestinian territories. Sadly, this is not a surprise given the public positions of Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has consistently resisted peace efforts, restricted the freedom of movement of Palestinians, limited public knowledge of the brutal realities of the occupation and aligned himself with Islamophobes like Donald Trump."

Then on the same day, Tlaib wrote in a letter to Israel's Ministry of Interior: "I would like to request admittance to Israel in order to visit my relatives, and specifically, my grandmother, who is in her 90s and lives in Beit Ur al-Fouqa. This could be my last opportunity to see her. I will respect any restrictions and will not promote boycotts against Israel during my visit." Israel granted her request. Then, after Israel accepted Tlaib's visit based on her own conditions, Tlaib refused to go, claiming racism, oppression and injustice. She stated, "Silencing me & treating me like a criminal is not what she [her grandmother] wants for me. It would kill a piece of me. I have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything I believe in--fighting against racism, oppression & injustice."

Israel's Interior Minister Aryeh Deri, who granted Tlaib's request to visit her grandmother, responded: "Apparently her hate for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother." This pretty well sums it up. Israel has experienced for decades this type of hate-filled propaganda and political stunts from the Marxist-Islamist Palestinian movement. Now that Michigan and Minnesota have elected these anti-Semetic, hate-mongers to Congress, America will be experiencing similar tactics. It is also the same hate-baiting that is occurring on a grander scale against anyone who disagrees with the Democratic Party leadership. This is like David's description of the Edomite in Psalm 52:2-3, "Your tongue devises mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. You love evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness."

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
