Focus on Israel

1. Jewish Press Online Complained and Facebook Removed Arab Media Call to Murder Israeli Officer - Jewish Press

Arab media have issued numerous calls to murder the Israeli police officer who last week shot and killed one of the terrorists who participated in a stabbing attack on him and several other cops at the entrance to the Temple Mount. The Hamas-affiliated Shehab News Agency yesterday posted on Facebook a photo singling out the officer with a blue circle around his face.

We red-flagged the post to Facebook, and they took it down within the hour:

Before being diligently removed, the post on the popular Facebook page which has more than seven millions followers read: "The extremist Zionist policeman circled in blue who shot the two Jerusalemite boys, Nassim Abu Rumi and Hamoudeh al-Sheikh, two days ago, was also the one who took furniture from the prayer house at the Gate of Mercy last night,"

2. Netanyahu under fire from politicians as terror attacks rise - World Israel News

As terror incidents have escalated in recent weeks, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing criticism from a number of politicians, including some who intend to join him in a coalition should he be picked to form a government following September's elections.

The harshest attack came from Netanyahu's former ally, now nemesis, Avigdor Liberman, leader of the Israel Beiteinu party.

"He is an excellent presenter, an excellent campaigner, but a weak, weak leader, lacking leadership and incapable of making decisions in real times of crisis," Liberman said on Sunday, according to Ynet.

"Again, we are facing the reckless conduct of the prime minister, who is currently traveling to Ukraine to film election propaganda films, while the southern residents are hostage to the security situation," he said.

3. IDF Attacks Underground Terror Structures after Hamas Fires Rockets into Israel - Christian Headlines

After Palestinian terror groups fired several rockets into Israel on Friday, the Israel Defense Forces struck back, attacking "two underground terror structures," the Times of Israel reports.

"A short time ago, IDF warplanes and aircraft attacked two underground terror structures of the Hamas terror group in the north and center of the Gaza Strip," the IDF said in a statement.

"The attack was carried out in response to the rocket that was launched from Gaza earlier tonight. The IDF will continue to act against attempts to harm Israeli civilians and sees the Hamas terror group as responsible for all that is done in the Gaza strip," the group wrote in a statement regarding Friday night's attack. Reportedly, the rocket fired on Friday was intercepted by Israel's missile defense system - the Iron Dome.

4. 'A democracy has the right to protect itself from enemies' - Israel National News

Attorney Nati Ram, the founder and head of the "Lev Haolam" organization which combats anti-Israel propaganda, spoke to Arutz Sheva about Israel's decision to bar Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from entering the country.

"Of course it's the right decision," he said. "Those congresswomen are anti-Semitic. They're comparing us to the Nazis. This is something we cannot allow and it's a good decision not to allow them to come here. The nations will respect this. It's very interesting to see that when the people of Israel and the parliament of Israel protect Israel, all the nations also respect Israel and understand that."

Rom pointed out that "President Obama, during his time as president, banned people from Israel, including MKs such as Ben Ari, from coming to the States. So please don't teach us about democracy. A democracy has the right to protect itself from enemies from outside."

5. Jordan Parliament Calls For Expelling Israeli Envoy- Jerusalem Post

In yet another sign of mounting tensions, Jordanian members of parliament and blocs renewed their recommendation on Monday that the kingdom expel the Israeli ambassador in Amman to protest Israeli "violations" against the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.

The recommendation was made by the Palestine Committee of Jordan's House of Representatives and other parliamentary blocs during an emergency session attended by Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. The members called for closing the Israeli Embassy in Amman, cancelling the Israel-Jordan peace treaty and summoning the US ambassador to Jordan to protest US support for Israel. In addition, they called for recalling the Jordanian ambassador to Israel.

The parliament endorsed the recommendations and said it rejects any attempt to divide the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in time and space between Muslim and Jewish worshipers. The parliament also stressed the importance of maintaining Jordan's historical custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and urged the government to recall the Jordanian ambassador to Israel and halt "all forms of normalization" with Israel.

1. Trump confirms peace plan to be released after Israeli elections- Times of Israel

US President Donald Trump on Sunday confirmed that his administration would likely release its long-delayed peace plan after Israel's elections in September. "We will probably wait for the release of the Middle East peace plan until after the Israeli elections," Trump told reporters, adding that the US might "release small parts of it beforehand."

The plan was to have been unveiled this summer, but was delayed after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to cobble together a coalition following the April elections and called a fresh vote, now scheduled for September 17.

The Americans are likely to give the winner a chance to form a government before releasing the plan, something that could add several weeks to the timetable.

- Lord, we pray fervently that only Your will be done in this peace plan. We stand against the dividing of Jerusalem and ask that Your Holy Spirit move over the region, bringing truth and life to all who live there.

- "And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them 'You are not My people," There they will be call sons of the living God." Romans 9:26

2. Buying Greenland isn't a good idea - it's a great idea - Washington Examiner

The reaction to President Trump's sudden interest in buying Greenland from Denmark has been mostly one of derision. And Denmark, which owns the territory, appears to oppose any sale. But don't laugh - an American purchase of Greenland could represent an extraordinary deal in terms of America's national security, economic interests, and environmental protection.

The U.S. Air Force base already present at Thule, Greenland offers critical intelligence capabilities to conduct satellite operations and to detect possible over-the-North-Pole nuclear missile launches from China or Russia Greenland also abounds with resources. An already energy independent U.S. would have unfettered access to a land rich not only in hydrocarbons but also in rare earth metals that are currently only available from an adversary, China.

But this isn't just about American interests. Greenland's small population also has everything to gain from a massive influx of American investment. And Greenland offers many grand opportunities for environmental protection. Its waters are home to numerous species of Whale, its lands to numerous species of flower and animals, and its skies to numerous species of birds. Greenland also controls flourishing fishing waters. (Read more)

- Lord, while many are mocking the President over his statement, we do not really know how much of it was his sense of humor or how much was a real thought. Greenland already has a US military base on it, and as stated above, there are many natural resources. We pray for Your will concerning this statement and ask that You grant the President great wisdom.

- "And in the hidden part you will make me to know wisdom." Psalm 51:6b

3. New York Times chief outlines coverage shift: From Trump-Russia to Trump racism - Washington Examiner

Dean Baquet, the executive editor of the New York Times, said recently that, after the Mueller report, the paper has to shift the focus of its coverage from the Trump-Russia affair to the president's alleged racism. Baquet made the remarks at an employee town hall Monday. A recording was leaked to Slate, which published a transcript Thursday.

The town hall was spurred by angry reaction, both inside and outside the Times, to a headline that many on the Left faulted for being insufficiently anti-Trump. After the El Paso shootings, when the president denounced white supremacy, the Times published a page-one story with the heading, "Trump Urges Unity Vs. Racism."

The headline controversy, it appears, was a preview of a new 2019-2020 New York Times. If Baquet follows through, the paper will spend the next two years, which just happens to be the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, building the Trump-is-a-racist narrative. (Read more)

- Lord, we take authority over the lies and the name calling being perpetrated by all of the media against the President. We bind up these plans and cast them down in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

- "All authority is given to Me in heaven and on earth." Matthew 28:18

4. Anthony Scaramucci Plotting Trump Takedown with --- Bill Kristol - Breitbart

Anthony Scaramucci, who was fired as White House communications director under President Donald Trump after just 11 days in July 2017, has spoken with staunch Never Trump commentator Bill Kristol regarding how Republicans could oust the president from the top of the party's 2020 ticket, according to a report.

In a series of terse text messages with CNBC, Kristol, confirmed his discussions with the hedge fund manager, writing a simple "Yup" when asked by reporter Brian Schwartz about the plot. "Have chatted with him, but working with him would be an exaggeration," Kristol added, before shying away from offering up additional details about his master plan.

If the founder of the now-defunct Weekly Standard were to actually go through with plans to block Trump from being the Republican nominee, it would not be the first time. In the summing leading up to the election, Kristol tried to recruit National Review's David French to challenge President Trump, though he ultimately conceded he was not rich or "transformational" enough to win. (Read more)

- Lord, this plan, too we ask for it to fall to the ground. And we ask that You forgive and release Mr. Scaramucci and Mr Kristol from their bitterness.

- "The heart knows its own bitterness." Proverbs 14:10a

5. Sanders calls for 'registry of disreputable federal law enforcement officers,' cutting prison population in half - Fox

Just days after a Texas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility was shot up in what the FBI called a "targeted attack," Bernie Sanders unveiled a new plan on Sunday that would create a "registry of disreputable federal law enforcement officers," and provide "financial support" for similar lists at the state level.

Sanders' freewheeling proposal would also "ban the prosecution of children under the age of 18 in adult courts" for all offenses, apparently including even rape and murder, and would prohibit youth from ever facing prison time for misdemeanors. The plan additionally would seek to cut the total "incarcerated population in half" by getting rid of what Sanders' campaign called "excessive sentencing."

The unprecedented crime reform initiative comes as ICE officers and workers are also facing a rapidly escalating series of death threats, including protesters menacing their children and shots being fired at their offices several times in the past month, amid a rising tide of anti-ICE rhetoric from the left fueled by congressional Democrats, media voices and presidential hopefuls. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that this plan will fail, that You will work in the hearts of all who embrace socialism and foolish ideas that are against freedom to bring truth.

- "But the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness." Proverbs 15:14b

6. Federal Court Orders Maryland to Produce Voter Registration List Data to Judicial Watch - Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch announced today that a federal court has ordered the State of Maryland to produce voter list data for Montgomery County, the state's biggest county. The court ruling comes in the Judicial Watch lawsuit filed July 18, 2017, against Montgomery County and the Maryland State Boards of Elections under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).

The NVRA requires states to take reasonable steps to clean up its voting rolls and to make documents about its voter list maintenance practices available to anyone who asks. Judicial Watch had sought the Maryland voter list data after discovering that there were more registered voters in Montgomery County than citizens over the age of 18 who could register. U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander rejected Maryland's objections to providing the voter list information.

"After our successful efforts to bring Kentucky, California, Ohio and Indiana into compliance with the National Voter Registration Act, it's time for Maryland politicians to stop the politics, see the light, get right with the law and clean up the State's voter rolls. If they don't, we'll see them in court again." (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You for this judge's ruling. We ask for transparency in all aspects of the elections, so that no fraud may take place.

- "Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults." Psalm 19:12

7. GOP becoming endangered species in California, as key stronghold turns blue - Fox

Former President Ronald Regan said during his 1984 reelection campaign that Southern California's Orange County is the place where "good Republicans go to die." For decades, the wealthy, suburban county - about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles - has been a conservative stronghold in a state that has become increasingly liberal.

But, since the 2018 midterm elections, the so-called "Orange Curtain" has come down and Democrats have made huge gains in an area once dominated by Republicans. The shift speaks to the GOP's ever-shrinking foothold in the Golden State.

Just recently, the number of registered Democrats surpassed the number of registered Republicans in Orange County for the first time since the Watergate era, with the county Registrar of Voters - as of Wednesday - having 548,952 Democrats compared with just 548,095 Republicans. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will protect the balance of states and districts and not allow dominance of the left over the right. Encourage those who are of faint heart and give them strategies to overcome.

- "Because you have overcome the wicked one." 1 John 2:13c

8. Ocasio-Cortez's Known Donors From Her Own District Are Nearly Non-Existent, FEC Records Show - Political Insider

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has outraised all other freshmen representatives so far in 2019, but nearly all of her reported contributors to her reelection campaign live outside her congressional district, a Daily Caller News Foundation analysis of Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings found.

Ocasio-Cortez's reelection campaign has reported receiving contributions from just 10 individuals living within her district in the first half of 2019, according to its Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. (Read more)

- Father, we ask for all truth to be revealed regarding Ocasio-Cortez, and that any wrongdoing be brought to account.

- "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment." John16:8

9. Ilhan Omar Paid $250K in Campaign Funds to Alleged Boyfriend - Minnesota Sun

According to a new report from Daily Mail, Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-MN-05) campaign committee has dished out more than $250,000 in consulting fees and travel expenses to E Street Group, a progressive consulting firm run by Tim Mynett.

Mynett and Omar were recently spotted dining together and holding hands at an exclusive restaurant in Playa Del Rey, California, Daily Mail reported. Both Mynett and Omar are still legally married to other people, but they've both moved out of their marital homes.

Omar and Mynett have been pictured sitting and standing together at several political events, but both declined to comment on the status of their relationship. (Read more)

- Lord, we again ask that this woman be removed from Congress. She has been deceptive, and openly sinning against Your people, Your heart and Your law.

- "For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more. Indeed, you will look diligently for his place, but it shall be no more." Psalm 37:10

10. Judge: University can't favor LGBT student groups with funds - WND

A federal judge has ruled that a university's strategy to give funds generated by mandatory student fees to groups and messages its officials favored is unconstitutional and has to change. The ruling comes in the case Nathan Apodaca and Students for Life against California State University-San Marcos.

"Public universities should encourage all students to participate in the free exchange of ideas, not create elaborate and secretive funding schemes to award their favored few with first-class status while denying even economy class to opposing views," said senior counsel Caleb Dalton, of the Alliance Defending Freedom, which fought the case.

"The university spared no expense to fund the advocacy of its preferred student groups but denied funding for speakers from Students for Life. But yesterday, the district court correctly declared, 'These 'back room deliberations' are exactly the [sic] type of considerations the First Amendment is designed to prevent. Nothing prevents these officials from encouraging some views while suppressing others through cosponsorship funding.' We're grateful the district court has rejected this unfair and discriminatory policy as unconstitutional." (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You for this ruling and ask that all agendas of the LGBTQ crowd that are against the constitution and Your Word be brought to nothing.

- "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." Romans 1:18

Demonizing Farmers as rapists

Monday, August 19, 2019

It's no secret that I grew up on a farm in Ohio. The farm way of life had been the fabric of our family since it came to Northeast Ohio shortly after the Revolutionary War and helped settle what was then the wild west. We grew crops, raised cattle and pigs, farmed with horses and gardened. We were never wealthy, but always had enough, more than enough to share with neighbors and others who were in need. Farming taught me the full range of God's wonderful creation, it's cycle of life and death, a work ethic, the value of family, country, friendship and love. Farming is truly a foundational aspect of any country because it is its food source. Now farmers are being demonized by the extreme left.

A research paper published by the Women's and Gender Studies at the College of Brockport State University of New York is saying that farmers are regularly committing rape and sexual assault, tantamount to bestiality. According to Campus Reform, a conservative watchdog to the nation's higher education system, the paper discussed the "sexual exploitation of non-human bodies, specifically dairy cows." Author Mackenzie April, writes: "as a vegan and animal rights activist," she feels compelled to reveal the "feminist aspects of animal agriculture because "the same way women's health has been at stake for years, a dairy cow's reproductive system has been poked and prodded."

She ties the treatment of dairy cows to that of women in society, in saying the plight of dairy cows, like women, are still subjects to sex-based discrimination and violence and their voices are "not always lifted or comprehensible." She writes: "The outdated stereotype about women being caretakers and most importantly child-bearers remains consistent in the dairy industry, especially when we take into account the means through which these animals are exploited." She argues that insemination of cattle is akin to rape and causes "emotional trauma related to pregnancy," and "nonconsensual hormone treatments." She also claims that milking cows is sexual abuse.

Campus Reform reports that April encourages readers to address the plight of dairy cows "similar to how you might validate and advocate for the struggles of women that you personally do not endure due to the privilege of race, gender, class, etc." Unfortunately, April appears to be the victim of women's studies' extreme and radical leftist brainwashing. Accusing dairy farmers of using their race and gender privilege to rape and sexually abuse dairy cows is the product of psychologically unsound thought. But this is where the world has headed, and taxpayer money is funding the state institution that allowed this work to be published. Proverbs 26:11 says, "As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly." Or maybe, as a cow chews her cud, women's studies students demonize farmers as rapists. How outrageous.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
