3. Israeli minister rips Tlaib for nixing trip, says 'her hate for Israel' overcomes 'love for her grandmother' - Fox News

Israel's interior minister tore into U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib on Friday for abruptly canceling plans to visit family in the West Bank after the government granted permission for the trip in a bid to smooth over a diplomatic firestorm.

"Apparently her hate for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother," Aryeh Deri tweeted.

The dueling statements from Tlaib and the Israeli government are poised to escalate a confrontation that briefly seemed to be ebbing Friday morning - when Deri granted Tlaib's request on humanitarian grounds to see her grandmother in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

This came after the Israeli government drew bipartisan criticism in Washington for refusing entry to Tlaib, D-Mich., and Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., as part of a broader visit.

But then Tlaib, in a scathing statement and set of tweets, announced she had decided not to go, saying "oppressive conditions meant to humiliate me would break my grandmother's heart."

4.IDF strikes Hamas targets in Gaza in response to earlier rocket attack - Times Of Israel

The Israel Defense Forces attacked Hamas targets in Gaza overnight Friday-Saturday in response to a rocket that was fired by Palestinian terror groups into Israel earlier Friday, the army said in a statement.

"A short time ago, IDF warplanes and aircraft attacked two underground terror structures of the Hamas terror group in the north and center of the Gaza Strip," the IDF said. "The attack was carried out in response to the rocket that was launched from Gaza earlier tonight. The IDF will continue to act against attempts to harm Israeli civilians and sees the Hamas terror group as responsible for all that is done in the Gaza strip," the statement said.

5. Israel fires on militants at Gaza border, Palestinians say three killed - Reuters

JERUSALEM/GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli forces opened fire at a group of Palestinian gunmen as they tried to cross the Gaza border, the military said on Sunday and Palestinian health officials said three of the men were killed. "A short while ago, IDF (Israel Defence Forces) troops spotted a number of armed suspects adjacent to the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip. An IDF attack helicopter and a tank fired towards them," the military said in a statement.

Palestinian medics said they retrieved three bodies from the site and Gaza hospital officials said a fourth man was injured.

6. Hamas threatens 'independent' terror attacks - Israel National News

The Hamas terror group has sent a message to Israel warning of the danger in retaliating for the rocket attacks.

According to the London-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Hamas' message, sent through third parties, included the following threat: "Either the commitment to relieve the siege on Gaza will be implemented, or there will be an escalation."

According to the report, Hamas is threatening to escalate the violent weekly border riots it calls the "March of Return" and to work together with other organizations to actively fight the Israeli "attacks."

The report also said that continued pressure on Gaza would cause the expansion of "independent" terror attacks and a widescale military conflict.

7. Netanyahu touches down in Ukraine, kicking off two-day trip - Times Of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu landed Sunday in Ukraine, kicking off a two-day trip seen as a bid to drum up support among Russian-speaking voters, ahead of general elections in Israel next month.

Touching down in Kiev, Netanyahu and his wife Sara were greeted with flowers and bread and salt by young Ukrainians clad in traditional outfits. Also welcoming them at the airport was Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko, a former world boxing heavyweight champion.

According to Channel 12, while on board the El Al flight from Tel Aviv, Sara Netanyahu, furious that the captain's welcome message excluded her, allegedly demanded she be allowed to enter the cockpit but was held back by security guards. After some discussion, the captain again took to the speakers to mention her, the television report said.

1. Trump meets with national security team on Afghanistan peace plan - The Hill

President Trump met Friday with his national security team to discuss a pending peace agreement with the Taliban. In a statement after the meeting, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the meeting at Trump's resort in Bedminster, N.J., focused on "the status of negotiations for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan." "Led by the president, we are working diligently on the path forward in Afghanistan," Pompeo said. "In continued close cooperation with the government of Afghanistan, we remain committed to achieving a comprehensive peace agreement, including a reduction in violence and a ceasefire, ensuring that Afghan soil is never again used to threaten the United States or her allies and bringing Afghans together to work towards peace." Attendees also included Vice President Pence, national security adviser John Bolton, Defense Secretary Mark Esper, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford, CIA Director Gina Haspel and special envoy for Afghan peace talks Zalmay Khalilzad, Pompeo said. (Read more)

-Father in heaven, we pray that Your power will limit the evil that Afghanistan brings to this meeting, because they are not a God-observant nation. Raise up an element of honesty from them to state their agreement for peace and reconciliation with the Taliban, Afghanistan and the United States. Move upon them to be committed to a nonviolent ceasefire to ensure they will never again threaten the U.S or its allies. We pray and trust in the Name of Jesus.

-"No weapon that is formed against the U.S. shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me, says the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)

2. Court ruling allows Trump asylum restrictions in Texas and New Mexico - The Hill

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday ruled partially in favor of the Trump administration in its attempt to impose an asylum ban, appearing to approve the ban for those who cross into Texas and New Mexico. The court said in a ruling that it denied the government's broader request to reverse a previous decision blocking the policy, but upheld the injunction for states on the border inside of its jurisdiction. The 9th Circuit runs along the West Coast and includes the border states of California and Arizona, so the ruling appears to clear the way for the policy to be applied in New Mexico and Texas, the areas that see the most border crossings from Mexico and Central America. "Although we strongly disagree with the Ninth Circuit's decision to leave in place the district court's unjustified injunction of the Government's lawful action to curb asylum abuse, we are glad the Ninth Circuit recognized that the nationwide application of the injunction was improper," the White House said in a statement. (Read more)

- Father God, we stand on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling to block passage of people crossing the borders from Mexico and Central America. Father, we pray You dispatch myriads of holy angels to form a line across the southern border from east to west blocking the entrance of immigrants illegally crossing over into the United States. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

-"We seek God, and unto God would we commit our cause: which does great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number." (Job 5:8-9)

3. 13 states file lawsuit over Trump 'public charge' rule - The Hill

Thirteen states led by Washington Attorney General Robert Ferguson (D) filed a lawsuit Wednesday over the Trump administration's new "public charge" rule. The states are suing the Department of Homeland Security over the new rule that expands the government's ability to deny entry or green cards to legal immigrants based on their use of public services like food stamps and Medicaid. The rule, announced Monday, is set to go into effect on Oct. 15. Wednesday's lawsuit, co-led by Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, is the first to be filed by states against the rule and the second overall challenge since the government rolled out the rule. The other attorneys general filing suit include those from Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico and Rhode Island. (Read more)

- Thank You that President Trump is taking steps to limit illegal immigrants usage of public services like food stamps, and Medicaid. These are steps to deter those who come here to live entirely on government services.

4. Judicial Watch Finds Documents Showing Fusion GPS Working Directly With Obama's DOJ to Frame Trump - TownHall

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has uncovered and released hundreds of documents showing the Obama Justice Department working directly with Fusion GPS, a research firm hired by the Clinton campaign, to frame President Trump. The documents show Fusion GPS' Nellie Ohr, who was specifically hired in 2016 to dig up dirt on Trump and his children Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric, working directly with U.S. Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr on a spread sheet linking President Trump to a number of Russian operatives. Nellie and Bruce are married and while Bruce was demoted, he's still working at the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. "FBI interview reports from December 5 and December 12, and December 20, 2017, show that Bruce Ohr 'voluntarily' gave these anti-Trump and Manafort materials, created for the Clinton campaign by Fusion GPS, to the FBI," Judicial Watch found. Additionally, the documents show Ohr forwarding an article to the FBI about impeachment on a crime he essentially set up through his work with Fusion GPS. (Read more)

-Righteous Father in heaven, we pray this exposure of treachery against President Trump be met with Your justice. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

-"God reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him." (Daniel 2:22)

5. Hillary Clinton's Emails Were Sent to Gmail Address Similar to Name of Chinese Company - Epoch Times

Virtually every email that was sent to and from the Clinton-email server was forwarded to "carterheavyindustries@gmail.com," which raised concerns that a foreign actor gained access to Clinton's emails after an intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) investigator searched Google for "Carter Heavy Industries" and came up with a result for Shandong Carter Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, according to the documents. Frank Rucker, the ICIG investigator, and Jeanette McMillian, an ICIG attorney, told the FBI about the anomaly on Feb. 18, 2016, at a meeting which included Peter Strzok, who had just taken over as the section chief heading the investigation. Rucker told Congress that Strzok was "aloof and dismissive" and didn't ask many questions. McMillian told Congress that her understanding of the Carter Heavy Industries email address was that it was a "drop box" to which the emails from the Clinton server were sent in real time. "Even if you didn't address an email to this address, the email went to it anyway," McMillian said. (Read more)

-Father God, we trust Your Word that says what we sow we shall reap. We pray You expose all that Hillary has done and she shall reap what she has sown. By Your power, O Lord, close down Shandong Carter Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and pull down all its supporters, all those in collusion to bring down President Trump. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

-"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." ( 2 Corinthians 10:5)

6. Grassley names Hunter Biden in probe of transfer of sensitive technology to China during Obama administration - National Sentinel

Hunter Biden, son of former VP Joe Biden, now a leading 2020 Democratic presidential contender, has been named as a source of a potential conflict of interest in a probe initiated by Sen. Chuck Grassley involving the purchase of an American company that made anti-vibration technologies by a state-owned Chinese aviation company and an investment firm with ties to the Communist Party. In a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin dated Aug. 14, Grassley said he wants a copy of the National Security Threat Assessment linked to the sale and transaction. In addition, the Iowa Republican is seeking details about the approval timeline while inquiring about whether the White House was briefed on the relevant deliberations. The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which has its origins in the Obama administration, approved the transaction when Joe Biden was still serving as vice president. Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz, son of former U.S. senator and Obama Secretary of State John Kerry, each had financial stakes in Bohai Harvest RST, the China-linked firm that acquired Henniges, the maker of the anti-vibration technology. (Read more)

-Almighty God, we pray that the purchase of an American company that made anti-vibration technologies by a state-owned Chinese aviation company with ties to the Communist Party, and the Committee of Foreign Investment in the United States as well as Joe Biden, John Kerry, who had stakes in Bohai Harvest RST, the China-linked firm that acquired Henniges, all be annihilated and closed down by God. Do a quick work and close the door between the U.S. and China. We pray in the mighty Name of Jesus.

"Therefore as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the Word of the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 5:24)

7. The Bloomberg-Ellison Corruption Connection - PowerLine

It came to light last year that a handful of rich left-wing donors led by Michael Bloomberg have collaborated with New York University Law School to recruit, place and pay for lawyers in attorney generals' offices around the United States. These lawyers, compensated outside the executive structure of state government, are embedded in state governments to pursue lawsuits that fit Bloomberg's liberal agenda. Minnesota is indeed participating in the Bloomberg scam. [One of the embedded lawyer's] wrote "I am off on a new adventure as a Fellow with the NYU School of Law's State Impact Center. I will be embedded with the Minnesota Attorney General's Office as an Environmental Litigator and Special Assistant Attorney General." Privately funded and agenda-driven "special assistant attorneys general" [are not only] unethical. In Minnesota, they are quite clearly illegal. It is time to shine the light of day on secret, corrupt and in some cases illegal relationships among billionaire Democratic Party donors and elected officials like Keith Ellison. (Read more)

-Almighty God in heaven, we lift our voice in prayer honoring our Lord who rains righteousness upon all willing-minded people to serve God. We pray Your mighty hand come down upon the Bloomberg-Ellison Corruption Connection, who are snagging the young, legally talented to be corrupted by their venomous teaching that has blinded this younger generation. God, shine the Light of Truth upon them and their families that they not be indoctrinated by this consuming demonized trap. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

"For among My people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men." (Jeremiah 5:26)

8. Planned Parenthood to Lose $60M: Court of Appeals Upholds Trump Admin Effort to Defund Abortion Giant - CBN News

The nation's largest abortion provider has been in the Title X program for decades and receives almost $60 million in funding from the program each year. The appeals court has rejected a lawsuit by Planned Parenthood and others to overturn the rules. The same panel of judges in July allowed the administration to go ahead with enforcement. Planned Parenthood said Wednesday it will withdraw from the program by the close of business on Monday, Aug. 19, unless the full 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco halts the new rules. Monday is also the deadline set by the Department of Health and Human Services for participants in the family planning program to submit plans on how they would comply with the rules, which are set to take effect Sept. 18. (Read more)

-Father, God, we trust that this defunding of $60 million will become law, which will save the lives of millions of babies. We speak the grace of Jesus over this ruling by President Trump and pray the power of God back it to its completion and enforcement. In the mighty Name of Jesus.

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." (Revelation 20:12)

9. US Dept. of Labor Proposes Rule to Protect Rights of Religious Entities That Contract With Federal Govt. - Christian News

"Today's proposed rule helps to ensure the civil rights of religious employers are protected," Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor Patrick Pizzella said in a press release on Wednesday. "As people of faith with deeply held religious beliefs are making decisions on whether to participate in federal contracting, they deserve clear understanding of their obligations and protections under the law." Under the Obama administration, the terms "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" were added to the protected classes. "[T]he proposed rule would clarify that religious organizations may make employment decisions consistent with their sincerely held religious tenets and beliefs without fear of sanction by the federal government," the press release from the department reads. Organizations such as Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) applauded the development, stating that religious universities, charities and other faith-based entities have the right to establish their own internal policies based on their religious nature. "freedoms don't disappear when a university, charity, or international nongovernmental organization enters into a contract with the federal government," Senior Counsel Gregory Baylor said in a statement. (Read more)

-Father, we praise Your holy Name for standing with those who are allowing the believers in the holiness of God, to be the governing factor over the laws of our land. This preaches freedom and deliverance from the heaviness of the wicked. Thank You, Jesus.

"The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined." (Isaiah 9:2)

10. Lead singer of rock band Skillet issues dire warning after Christian influencers publicly renounce their faith - The Blaze

John Cooper, the lead singer of popular Christian rock band Skillet, issued heartfelt advice to Christian influencers who have recently renounced their Christian faith in public. In July, Joshua Harris, author of the popular Christian book, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," and former pastor, announced that he was no longer a Christian and proclaimed that he was now a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ_community. Hillsong United worship leader Marty Sampson made a similar announcement last week, insisting that he is "genuinely losing his faith," but that the very idea did not bother him. Cooper wrote, "When it comes to people within my faith, there must be a measure of loyalty and friendship and accountability to each other and the Word of God." The singer went on to note that Jesus is the truth, and the Word of God is absolute. "It is time for the church to rediscover the preeminence of the Word. And to value the teaching of the Word. We need to value truth over feeling. Truth over emotion. And what we are seeing now is the result of the church raising up influencers who did not supremely value truth who have led a generation who also do not believe in the supremacy of truth," he reasoned. "And now those disavowed leaders are proudly still leading and influencing boldly AWAY from the truth." (Read more)

-Father God, we thank You for John Cooper and for his testimony. We pray that MANY will hear his message and take heed to his warning.
We thank You that John Cooper is speaking words of TRUTH -- that . "It is time for the church to rediscover the preeminence of the Word." AMEN!
And Lord God, we cry out to You on behalf of the two men who are falling away from faith in You: Marty Sampson and Joshua Harris. Lord God, pursue them with the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT; bring them to REPENTANCE, that they might yet turn back to You, finding Grace to help in time of need. We ask this in YOUR name, amen,

- "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good Word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame." ( Hebrews 6:4-6)

Prophetic trend of the week

2 Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." This is a prophecy by the Apostle Paul about how in the latter days perilous times shall come. This week certainly was an example of how evil men and seducers are waxing worse. On Thursday, for example, 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN) said that Israel shouldn't ban visits by Congresswomen Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for their anti-Semitism, and then blamed President Donald Trump for "literally exporting intolerance." This tying together ills of society and projecting them onto Trump rather than offering legitimate solutions was an ongoing trend this week.

During CNN's "Situation Room" Monday, Representative Denny Heck (D-WA) said, "the president hates all immigrants, except his mother- and father-in-law and his wife, evidently. He hates them whether they're here without documents, they're here with a green card, they're here seeking asylum. He hates them all." On Monday's broadcast of MSNBC's "All In," 2020 presidential candidate former HUD Secretary and former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro (D) said, "this administration is not just against undocumented immigrants, it's also against legal immigrants. And it goes back to what he's displayed from the beginning of his political career, from birtherism, to the way he started his campaign, to those comments about the Mexican-American judge, to his comments about Ilhan Omar and her colleagues. He wants a whiter, wealthier nation."
Presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) Sunday said Trump, "has been fueling the flames of hate. I said recently on the issue of El Paso when people ask me is he responsible for these killings? Well no he obviously didn't pull the trigger, but he's sure been tweeting out the ammunition." Breitbart reports that another Democratic presidential frontrunner, Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) claimed Trump wants citizens to blame people of color for all their failures in life, Warren said, "Blame people who aren't the same color as you. Blame people who don't sound like you. Blame people who weren't born where you were born. Blame people who don't worship like you. Blame them. And that is his message."
Warren concluded, "And he thinks if he can stir up people against people, keep people fighting each other enough, then nobody will notice who's actually picking their pockets. And that the folks at the top are just getting richer and richer and richer, just scraping more and more of the wealth for themselves." But this is exactly what these people have done all along. They stir up strife by blaming others for it, all the while enriching themselves with money and power through their congressional votes. All week long, Americans have heard the "hate" claims against Trump. They wax worse and worse, to the point one has to suspend disbelief to believe them. Truly a prophetic time where truth is claimed as a lie, and lies are held as truth.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Labor Dept. Protects Religious Freedom

Labor Department Protects Religious Freedom

The Trump administration has proposed a rule which protects faith-based organizations that contract with the federal government by allowing them to make employment decisions consistent with their sincerely held religious beliefs.

The proposed rule by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs ensures that conscience and religious freedom are given the broadest protection permitted by law. The proposed rule will be open for public comment for 30 days.

The proposal also reaffirms employers' obligations not to discriminate on the basis of race, sex, or other protected bases and does not exempt or excuse a contractor from complying with any other requirements. The proposed rule accounts for exemptions for religious organizations in The Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246 and OFCCP's regulations, which govern certain employment practices of federal contractors. Recent Supreme Court decisions such as Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, Trinity Lutheran Church v. Comer, and Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, also address the protections afforded religious organizations and individuals under the Constitution and federal law. In addition, Executive Orders 13798, Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty, and 13831, Establishment of a White House Faith and Opportunity Initiative, along with U.S. Department of Justice guidance, likewise instruct federal agencies to protect religious freedom.
