2. The Census Bureau reported that typical family incomes rose to new record highs in 2017, and poverty subsided to pre-Obama-recession lows. More than 900,000 fewer people were living in poverty in 2017 than in 2016.
Meantime, small business optimism soared to the highest level ever recorded.
3. President Trump ordered closed the DC office of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
4. White House National Security Adviser John Bolton sharply criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC) and threatened to sanction the ICC after the global tribunal announced an investigation into alleged U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan.
5. President Trump and Vice President Pence marked the somber 17th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
