This Labor Day Caps off the Summer of the American Worker
Last summer, President Donald J. Trump had a simple message for Americans as he honored the first Labor Day of his Presidency: "We are building our future with American hands, American labor, American iron, aluminum and steel."
One year later, the results speak for themselves.
While President Trump is pushing for "America First" reforms across his Administration, three keys to the country's recent success stand out: a record-setting economy, a commitment to keeping that wealth here at home, and a pledge to keep much of that wealth in the hands of American workers. Election Issues: Week Four
SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM
Editor's note:
This Monday, we will honor our workforce by standing down for Labor Day. Although we deeply honor the many years that American workers have faithfully performed their jobs to help build a strong America, nevertheless, there yet remains a "caution" in our hearts when it comes to the term "labor unions."
It was one-hundred years ago this year that Karl Marx took advantage of the anger among the ranks of laborers within Russia to begin to organize workers' strikes, which crippled Russia's economy. These actions, over time, led to the takeover of the czarist regime in Russia, and the introduction of communism as a ruling, governing force.
In this week's Election Issue, we will briefly examine the roots of the communist movements in America; how these activists have infiltrated our political process, and what we, as watchmen for freedom, can do to counteract this growing danger in our land. Thank you.
The CHALLENGE
Part One: HOW RUSSIA LOST ITS FREEDOM
Communism includes a variety of schools of thought, which broadly include Marxism and anarchism (anarcho-communism), as well as the political ideologies grouped around both. All of these share the analysis that the current order of society stems from its economic system, capitalism; that in this system there are two major social classes (the working class and the capitalists); that conflict between these two classes is the root of all problems in society; and that this situation will ultimately be resolved through a social revolution.
In its modern form, communism grew out of the socialist movement in 19th-century Europe. As the Industrial Revolution advanced, socialist critics blamed capitalism for the misery of the proletariat-a new class of urban factory workers who labored under often-hazardous conditions. Foremost among these critics were Karl Marx and his associate Friedrich Engels. In 1848, Marx and Engels offered a new definition of communism and popularized the term in their famous pamphlet The Communist Manifesto.
The 1917 October Revolution in Russia set the conditions for the rise to state power of Vladimir Lenin's Bolsheviks, which was the first time any avowedly communist party reached that position. The revolution transferred power to the All-Russian Congress of Soviets, in which the Bolsheviks had a majority. The Bolsheviks' successful rise to power was based upon the slogans such as "Peace, bread and land" which tapped into the massive public desire for an end to Russian involvement in the First World War, the peasants' demand for land reform, and popular support for the soviets. The Soviet Union was established in 1922.
The Great Purge of 1937-1938 was Joseph Stalin's attempt to destroy any possible opposition within the Communist Party. In the Moscow Trials, many old Bolsheviks who had played prominent roles during the Russian Revolution of 1917 or in Lenin's Soviet government afterwards, including Kamenev, Zinoviev, Rykov and Bukharin, were accused, pleaded guilty and executed. Communism was seen as a rival of and a threat to western capitalism for most of the 20th century.
Part Two: COMMUNIST PARTY USA
Founded in 1919 - Peaked in 1930s and 1940s - Last fielded presidential candidate in 1984. The party claims 2,000-3,000 members nationally. It has just two salaried staff - Chairman Sam Webb and his deputy Jarvis Tyner, who was a vice-presidential candidate in the 1970s. Its ultimate aim, however, is still sweeping in its ambition.
"Socialism will usher in a new era in this country," the party program states. "The great wealth of the United States will for the first time be for the benefit of all the people. The longer-term goal", says Webb, is "the communist society, the ending of all class divisions, a society of equality, the withering away of the state."
The House Un-American Activities Committee was formed in 1938 to protect the US against Nazi infiltration, but soon became a vehicle for targeting suspected Communists in the trade unions, Hollywood, and the government. After revelations that espionage had allowed the Soviet Union to obtain an atomic bomb more quickly, Congress passed the 1950 Internal Security Bill, which placed various restrictions on Communists and communist organizations. The same year, Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin launched a crusade against communism, claiming that scores or even hundreds of Communists were working in the state department. . .
Webb points to other recent events, including the Occupy movement, the election of Socialist Kshama Sawant to Seattle's city council and Bill de Blasio winning the mayoral race in New York. He also notes that even Republicans are talking about poverty. "The climate in the country is changing, people are thinking about economic inequality."
A socialist society is the goal in the "foreseeable future", Webb says, with communism "probably much more distant. If we enter coalitions on the basis of people agreeing with our vision of socialism, we could probably fit into a small but growing phone booth," he quips. Webb says he doesn't get harsh reactions when he tells people he's a Communist. Some younger people - perhaps with only a vague understanding of what the world means - even think it's "cool". But he hints that the party may finally, quietly shed some historical baggage as it builds alliances with other groups on the American left.
Note: 238 Socialist clubs have been organized in colleges and universities for this fall. We cannot ignore this.

Part Three: THE SOCIALISTS ARE COMING
House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley's loss at the hands of a millennial socialist barmaid in New York has shocked Democratic Washington. But Republicans merely seem amused by the lopsided victory that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won over Crowley's amply funded campaign. . .
But complacency would be a big mistake for Republicans. They must not take the principles that made America great for granted, for if they do they will eventually be eroded by Ocasio-Cortez's brand of sub-Marxism. New generations of voters will not necessarily be aware of socialism's egregious and dangerous flaws. They have no experience, and many have little understanding, of the baneful effects of that pernicious ideology when it is installed in government. As the socialism of Ocasio-Cortez and the likes of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., increasingly seizes the imagination of the ill-educated, Republicans cannot assume that liberty will always be more appealing to the public than the siren song of egalitarianism. Part Five: EXTRA CREDIT - COMMUNIST INFILTRATION IN THE CHURCH
A note to our readers, Tim McGhee (our Snapshot editor) has submitted this article for your own, prayerful consideration.
This is an excerpt from pp. 524-526, Apostles of Deceit, by Edgar C. Bundy, a book published by The Church League of America in 1966, Library of Congress Catalogue Card Number: 66-24178.
In these end times, may we ever be found vigilant to be defenders of our faith, and of the truth of the Gospel. Amen.
Our Prayer of REPENTANCE:
Father God, we ask You to forgive us, Your people, for having "fallen asleep" to the reality of communist infiltration in America. We ask You to forgive us for not serving You and our nation, as guardians of the truth of Your Word - thereby confronting and taking down the lies of this wicked movement. Help us, O Lord, to restore that which the locust has eaten, that we might live as a free people again in our land. In Your Name, we pray, amen.
> > > A Prayer of FORGIVENESS
Father God, only You know what has caused these socialists and communists in our nation to become slaves of this deception; and only You know how to lead them out of their darkness into the Glorious Light of Your Truth.
We now ask forgiveness of each one, for they know not what they do. In particular, we ask forgiveness for the avowed socialists who are serving in the U.S. Congress, and we ask that you would weaken and annul their influence in the political process and in the upcoming elections this year. We ask all of this in Your Glorious Name, amen.
> > > A Prayer of THANKSGIVING
Lord God, as we pray for and release our enemies, both foreign and domestic, we thank You, too, for the promise of Your Word, because it is written:
"These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding, And those who complained will learn doctrine." (Isaiah 29:24)
> > > A Prayer of HEALING FOR OUR LAND
Father God, for these who need to find You as their Savior and their Lord, we claim this promise from Your Word:
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 26:36)
Thank You, Father, that as each one turns from his or her own wicked, rebellious and stubborn ways, and yields instead to the wooing of Your Spirit, our land shall be healed. Amen.

The tangled web of deceit
There is so much being broadcast and written about the Russian influence of the last presidential election that it can be extremely confusing. There are names like Comey, Ohr, Steele, Page, Strzok, Brennon, Yates, Clinton, Clapper, the secret FISA Court, and the list goes on and on. Everyday there is a new revelation. Everyday, the media reports the new twist and repeats the narrative that President Trump and Russia colluded on manipulating the 2016 Presidential Election. If the new information does not condemn the President, it is swept under the rug or a host of "experts" are used to discredit the information. And so goes the tangled web of deceit about this entire Russian investigation.
Amazing to me is how the media ignores, discredits or downplays emerging facts of Democratic National Committee, the past White House, and the Clinton campaign involvement in paying for a false dossier on Trump, using that dossier to get a secret court order to spy on Trump and his campaign, release it to the media, and then use the stories the media writes to try to remove Trump from office. Further shocking, is the depth of people who were and are involved in this conspiracy at many governmental departments, levels within those departments, transcending to willing actors in the news media who refuse one set of facts in deference to a false narrative. It's the repeat of what is called the "Big Lie."
As translated from "Mein Kampf," Adolf Hitler wrote: "in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying." His propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels put the big lie to practice, saying: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
What makes the current tangled web of deceit even more powerful is the truth mixed in with the lie. A little bit of truth makes a better lie-politicians know this and live by it. The media knows it and turns a blind eye to it by reporting what these lie-makers say without mentioning the facts-unless, of course, they want to counter news that doesn't fit their narrative. Speaking to the Pharisees in John 8:44, Jesus said, "You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." And so is such with the tangled web of deceit we currently face as a nation.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Clinton operatives and Russian associates attended infamous Trump Tower Meeting
Brietbart News has completed an extensive report about the email trail left by Clinton campaign associates indicating that Clinton operatives and Russian associates attended the meeting at the Trump Tower allegedly to provide opposition research on Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump. The email chain and subsequent testimony by those who attended the meeting indicate that Clinton's campaign possibly used the meeting as a set up to further enhance a narrative that Trump was colluding with the Russians against Clinton. If this is the case, there is a high possibility that the entire Russian ruse was instigated by Clinton, assisted by FBI employees, and shaped by willing reporters in the news media.
Breitbart reports, "Attorney Edward Lieberman, whose late wife Evelyn served as Hillary Clinton's chief of staff, exchanged numerous emails with the co-founder of the controversial Fusion GPS firm and Russian participants in the infamous June 9, 2016, Trump Tower meeting, documentation provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee shows. Now the email logs provide a paper trail connection between Lieberman, Fusion GPS, and two of the Russian participants in the Trump Tower confab. Besides working for Hillary Clinton while she was First Lady, Lieberman's late wife, Evelyn, also served as Bill Clinton's deputy chief of staff, and famously transferred Monica Lewinsky out of the White House to the Defense Department.
"Edward Lieberman himself has been described as working within the orbit of the Clintons. He previously served as legal counsel and advisor to the Albright Group LLC, which was founded by Madeleine K. Albright, who served as Bill Clinton's Secretary of State and who would later serve as a surrogate for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. Lieberman's expertise, listed on his former Albright Group bio, includes "multi-billion dollar privatizations of oil and gas assets in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Russia. The Russia collusion conspiracy was sparked by the dossier produced by Fusion GPS, which was paid for its anti-Trump work by Trump's primary political opponents, namely Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) via the Perkins Coie law firm."
As the testimonies and communications between the actors are revealed, one conclusion could be drawn that the Clinton Campaign, the DNC, the previous White House, including the "president," the FBI and the CIA all worked together on an elaborate scheme to not only defeat Trump, but also remove him from office if he were elected. Could this be the "insurance policy" that disgraced FBI agent Peter Strozk mentioned in a text about taking down Trump-the one that the Washington Post referred to as "an embarrassing episode"? Beyond Breitbart, this story is not being carried by any major media, but it is well documented by Breitbart's Aaron Klein. As the drama unfolds, keep in mind this is a pivotal moment in American history. As Jesus warned in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." There are many trails in this rat hole.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Prayers answered, for now - 'Must Stay Gay' bill shelved!
A homosexual legislator in California is being applauded for pulling his controversial bill that would have made it illegal to offer resources or engage in efforts aimed at changing an individual's unwanted same-sex attractions.
Labeled by critics as the "Must Stay Gay" bill, AB 2943 declares that "advertising, offering to engage in, or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual" is illegal under the state's consumer fraud law. It had been passed by both the California Assembly and Senate and was being prepared to send to Governor Jerry Brown - until today.
Democratic Assembly member Evan Low, sponsor of the bill, has now shelved the bill for this legislative session, citing opposition from religious leaders and groups in the Golden State.
"The best policy is not made in a vacuum - and in order to advance the strongest piece of legislation, the bill requires additional time to allow for an inclusive process not hampered by legislative deadlines," the legislator says in a press release. ". . . Despite the support the bill received in the Assembly and Senate, I will not be sending AB 2943 to the governor this year."
Today was the last day of the year for the legislature to give final approval to bills before sending them to the governor.
The California Family Council calls the turnaround "an incredible answer to the prayers" of thousands of people across the U.S.
"People of faith across California and around the nation care deeply about our family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who identify as LGBTQ," says CFC president Jonathan Keller. "AB 2943 would have tragically lilmited our ability to offer compassionate support related to sexual orientation and gender identity, and even to preach Jesus' message of unconditional love and life transformation."
Keller also credits Low's "unprecedented outreach" to the faith community and personal meetings with faith leaders in response to the First Amendment threat posed by the bill.
He adds: "Today is also a testament to the courageous counselors, ministry leaders, pastors, and OnceGay individuals who bravely shared their personal stories, ensuring that these vital perspectives were not overlooked in the legislative process."
The bill, however, isn't dead. Low says he's committed to continuing to work towards creating a policy that "protects and celebrates the identities of LGBT Californians" and becomes "a model for the nation to look towards."
California Family Council led a coalition of organizations and mobilized tens of thousands of Californians in expressing their concerns about AB 2943. (Source: One News Now) Read more.
- Father God, we rejoiced yesterday with tens of millions of believers from across the nation when this news was released. We honor, in particular, Your people in the State of California who bowed their knees in REPENTANCE, seeking Your deliverance from this evil legislation.
We ask You to continue to do a marvelous work in the heart of Evan Low, leading him to salvation. In Your Name we pray, amen.
- "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!" (Psalm 150:6)

August 2018
Key Headlines:
1. UN General Debate Starts September 25th, 2018
UN General Debate Starts September 25th, 2018 On June 5th, 2018, Ms. MarÃa Fernanda Espinosa Garcés was elected to be the President of the 73rd session of the General Assembly. She is the fourth woman to hold this position. Previously she was the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador. The 73rd session starts September 18th and the General Debate September 25th, 2018.
Presidents, Prime Ministers and high level diplomats of the 193 member states of the UN will come to the UN headquarters in New York City to participate in the General Debate. High Level Meetings will take place during the days right before the debate. One of them will be the UNESCO conference against anti-Semitism on September 26th. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, French President Emanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are among the leaders who are expected to attend this event.
Each one of them will bring his spiritual "back-pack" with him. Have in mind that New York City is considered the Eastern Gate to the United States. In ancient days the place in the gates was the place of authority, where important decisions were made. Those who sat in the gates were people who gave counsel, and who understood laws and regulations. Let us pray with this authority, lifting up God's Word and Kingdom over the city of New York and all who will come for the General Debate.
Please pray for the protection of New York City during this time and against terror attacks and chaos. Bind every humanistic and Greek thinking. Pray with Proverbs for the meetings of the leaders of this world and bind anti-Semitism and destroy the plans of the enemy also against Israel. Bless the leaders with the wisdom of God and that those who know Him personally boldly take a stand against an anti-Christ spirit and ungodly counsel.
2. US Middle East Peace Plan Said to Strip Palestinians Of their "Right of Return"
President Donald J.Trump will announce the US rejection of the Palestinian "Right of Return" in the next several days, Israel's Hadashot TV reported Saturday, August 25th, 2018.
The Palestinians claim refugee status for five million people, which includes millions of descendants of the approximately 700,000 original refugees who were living in British Mandatory Palestine, or what is now the State of Israel, and were displaced during the 1948 War of Independence. The plan suggests further, that the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) should be responsible for the remaining Palestinian refugees, giving them the same status as the rest of the world's refugees. No other refugee can pass on his or her "refugee-status" to the following generations like in the case of the Palestinians.
We had different articles on this issue in previous newsletters and these developments are truly an answer to prayer!
Please pray for this bold step of the US administration to bring change and progress into the Middle East Peace process. Pray for other nations to stand with the US and support the next steps.
3. US Holds UN Security Council Presidency in September 2018
The US will hold the presidency of the UN Security Council for the month of September. With the General Debate taking place during this time it is strategically good timing.
Please pray for Nikki Haley and her team during this month - especially with the focus on the General Debate taking place during the same tenure and the world leaders coming to New York City.
(Added praise from CHPP) Thank You, Lord, for this positioning at this strategic time. Please cover our U.N. Ambassador, Nikki Haley, with Your wings, and keep her safe from all storms that may surround her. Amen.

Prayers and Presidents:
Our 30th President: Calvin Coolidge
(1923-1929)
[Each week, we will publish one prayer that was spoken by each of our presidents, in chronological order. Today's prayer was written by our 30th President: Calvin Coolidge.]
"As we have grown and prospered in material things, so also should we progress in moral and spiritual things. We are a God-fearing people who should set ourselves against evil and strive for righteousness in living, and observing the Golden Rule we should from our abundance help and serve those less fortunately placed. We should bow in gratitude to God for His many favors."
