1. Top 10 Signs of Redemption This Year - Times of Israel
On Sunday evening, the Hebrew calendar moves forward to 5780. According to Jewish tradition, the final redemption must arrive before the beginning of the 6,000th year so signs should be appearing. A quick roundup of the past year shows that this is indeed the case as Breaking Israel News gives a recap of the top ten Geula (redemption) articles of the year.

2. Rivlin gives Netanyahu mandate to form government - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been given the chance to form a government for the sixth time on Wednesday, after succeeding in his five terms in office but not having the opportunity to do so following the April election.
President Reuven Rivlin formally gave Netanyahu four weeks to form the government, after a meeting at the President's Residence with Blue and White leader Benny Gantz failed to bring about a breakthrough. The deadline will be October 24.
"Netanyahu had the best chance to form a government," Rivlin said in a speech alongside the prime minister.

3. Rampant Election Fraud in Arab Villages Discovered Giving Netanyahu an Extra Seat - Breaking Israel News
Israel's Central Election Committee announced late on Tuesday night that it was amending the final election results following an investigation into electoral fraud, bumping the Likud Party from 31 to 32 seats and United Torah Judaism (UTJ) Party from eight to seven.
The change did not alter the division of Knesset seats between the left- and right-wing blocs. According to the announcement, the changes were made due to the disqualification of ballots from six polling stations in northern Israel where "real evidence of apparent vote tampering" was found. Three of the stations were in the Druze village of Yarka, while the others were the cities of Sakhnin, Shfaram and Arraba. Other factors that affected the decision, according to the report, were the correction of statistical anomalies, and the final lots of "double ballot" votes from soldiers, prisoners and diplomats.

4. Netanyahu agreed to Rivlin's proposal, Gantz refused - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agreed to President Reuven Rivlin's proposal to apply a model of two prime ministers serving at the same time, but Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz rejected it, Haaretz reported Wednesday.
President Rivlin spoke about his proposal in the statement he made after he entrusted Netanyahu with forming a government.
"You should know that among the other proposals that I have raised, I offered both candidates the establishment of a shared government. That would mean a government of equals, in which neither bloc would have an advantage. I also suggested that alongside the prime minister, the law would be changed to give force and power to the role of the interim prime minister. The uniqueness of that role is that whenever the prime minister is unable to fulfill his role the interim prime minister serves as prime minister in all respects," said Rivlin.
"I also suggested that the law be amended so that any leave of absence is not limited to one hundred days. This would enable a prime minister to remain in office for as long as there is no need to take a leave of absence. If the prime minister does take a leave of absence, that person will continue to be prime minister in name, but the authorities of the office would be transferred to the interim prime minister. This was my suggestion to solve the political and legal complications we face. That was my offer, and I'm laying it out here for the public," he added.

5. Islamic Jihad seeking to build rockets in West Bank - report - Times Of Israel
The Islamic Jihad terror group is seeking to set up rocket production capabilities in the heart of the West Bank, threatening to fire the projectiles at cities in central Israel, according to an Israeli television report. Channel 12 news on Wednesday showed photographs of makeshift rockets assembled in Tulkarem and reported that three Islamic Jihad operatives were arrested in the northern West Bank city this week by Palestinian Authority security forces.
The PA forces also seized a rocket prototype built by the cell, the report said.

6. Israel slams Turkish leader over UN speech - Times Of Israel
Israeli leaders are striking back after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan slams the country, questions its borders and accuses it of wanting to keep expanding.
"The Palestinian territory under Israeli occupation has become one of the most striking places of injustice," he says. He says a Palestinian woman shot and killed during an alleged stabbing attempt at a checkpoint was "murdered heinously."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accuses Erdogan of lying constantly. "Someone who does not stop lying, who slaughters Kurds, who denies the massacre of the Armenians, should not preach to Israel. Stop lying Erdogan."

1. Trump Asked Ukraine President To Help With DOJ Probe Of 2016 Election Interference - The Federalist
In a July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Donald Trump asked the new leader to assist the United States in its ongoing investigation of foreign interference in the 2016 elections. The Department of Justice confirmed today that it is investigating Ukraine's involvement in 2016 election meddling.
"I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike . . .I guess you have one of your wealthy people . . . The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you're surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it's very important that you do it if that's possible."
Prior to the release of the transcript, media and other Democrats misrepresented the phone call as an abuse of office. The focus on the phone call comes ahead of the much-anticipated release of an Inspector General report on political spying abuses by the Obama administration as well as declassification of materials expected to detail efforts to spy on the Obama administration's political opponents using false information.

2. DOJ Clears Trump Less Than 24 Hours After Pelosi's Impeachment Announcement - Western Journal
The Department of Justice announced Wednesday that it opted not to investigate President Donald Trump over a controversial phone call he had in July with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The news came hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California announced the start of an official impeachment probe.
Prior to the Wednesday release of the transcript of the call, Trump critics claimed the president was withholding $400 million in aid from Ukraine as a bargaining chip he was using to get Ukraine to investigate past activities of Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden's son.
The transcript released by the White House does not mention the aid, which was eventually released to Ukraine in September. The Department of Justice's Criminal Division "reviewed the official record of the call and determined, based on the facts and applicable law, that there was no campaign finance violation and that no further action was warranted," DOJ spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said.

3. In Shock Decision, Judge Reverses Conviction Of Michael Flynn's Lobbying Partner - Daily Caller
In a surprise move Tuesday, a federal judge in Virginia acquitted Bijan Rafiekian, a former business partner of Michael Flynn's who was convicted in July in a case spun off from the special counsel's investigation. Rafiekian, who served as vice chairman of Flynn Intel Group, was convicted July 23 of illegally lobbying on behalf of the Turkish government and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
But Judge Anthony Trenga reversed the jury decision in a 39-page ruling, saying the government's evidence against Rafiekian "was insufficient as a matter of law" to justify conviction on either count. He also ruled that Rafiekian would face a new trial if the government successfully appeals the acquittal.
The decision is the latest in a series of setbacks against the Justice Department in cases spun off from the special counsel's probe. A jury in Washington, D.C., acquitted former White House counsel Greg Craig in August on charges that he acted as an unregistered agent of Ukraine on a project involving former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

4. Ex-DIA Officer Gets 10 Years in Prison for Spying for China - FreeBeacon
Former Defense Intelligence Agency officer Ron R. Hansen was sentenced to 10 years in prison for spying for Chinese intelligence. In court it was disclosed that Hansen had been cooperating with the U.S. government and the judge said he provided valuable information on Chinese intelligence operating methods.
In exchange for his cooperation in detailing the damage from the case, and to prevent the disclosure of the compromised secrets during a trial, Hansen received a lighter than normal sentence. Lund said prosecutors estimate that the Chinese paid Hansen about $800,000. Electronic intercepts of Hansen outlined in court papers revealed that Hansen was motivated in part to spy for China by hatred for President Trump.
U.S. attorney John W. Huber for the District of Utah said China's government is continuing to recruit U.S. intelligence officials as spies. "The Hansen case is an example of what will happen to those who violate the public's trust and risk our national security by disclosing classified information," Huber said. The case reveals that Chinese intelligence, according to an FBI criminal complaint, was seeking top-secret U.S. military war plans for China, as well as secrets on U.S. negotiations with North Korea and information on American government officials.

5. Trump, Duda sign agreement to send 1,000 more US troops to Poland - FoxNews
The United States will send 1,000 more troops to Poland, which has agreed to pay the entire expense, in a move that boosts the nations' defense ties, President Trump has said. "We'll be moving soldiers there," Trump said during his bilateral meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda at the 74th United Nations General Assembly in New York City on Monday. The two later inked the deal.
"They're going to be building us facilities that I'm sure will be very beautiful," the president added. The Joint Declaration on Advancing Defense Cooperation builds on the framework discussed in June when the two leaders met in Washington, D.C.
"We continue to develop the plan to bolster Polish-United States military ties and United States defense and deterrence capabilities in Poland. ... As noted, this enduring presence is expected to grow by approximately 1,000 additional United States military personnel in the near term," according to the document.

6. Pakistan's Khan says he is mediating with Iran after Trump asked him to help - Jerusalem Post
Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan said on Tuesday that U.S. President Donald Trump had asked him to help defuse tensions with Iran and that he had already spoken with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in an attempt to mediate. Khan met with Trump on the sidelines of the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations on Monday.
The United States blames Iran for an attack on the world's biggest crude oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia on Sept. 14 and has said they will present evidence to back that up. Khan said he had been in Saudi Arabia before New York and spoken with Prince Mohammed bin Salman who also asked him to talk to Rouhani.
When asked about Khan's remarks, Trump said Khan would like to mediate "and we have a very good relationship and there's a chance that that could happen." Khan also said he had told Trump that he was willing to help broker peace in neighboring Afghanistan.

7. Deputy Secretary of State Urges End of China's Mass Repression of Uighurs - FreeBeacon
Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan told a United Nations meeting in New York that Beijing's actions against the Uighurs and other minorities are a human rights crisis.
"There are many reports that the Chinese government forces detainees to renounce their ethnic identities as well as their culture and religion," Sullivan said on the sidelines of the annual U.N. General Assembly meeting. Sullivan said the Chinese are engaged in a "brutal campaign" against Uighurs, ethnic Kazakhs, ethnic Kyrgyz, and other Muslim minority groups in western Xinjiang province.
U.S. intelligence agencies estimate since April 2017 the Chinese have imprisoned at least 1 million people in a network of concentration camps around the western part of the country and that the number could be as high as 2 million. "We have received credible reports of deaths, forced labor, torture, and other cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment in these camps," Sullivan said.

8. 500 Scientists Write U.N.: 'There Is No Climate Emergency' - Breitbart
More than 500 scientists and professionals in climate and related fields have sent a "European Climate Declaration" to the Secretary-General of the United Nations asking for a long-overdue, high-level, open debate on climate change. The scientists underscored the importance of not rushing into enormously expensive climate action before fully ascertaining the facts.
Just as 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg addressed the U.N. Climate Action Summit in New York accusing world leaders of robbing her of her future, scientists were begging the United Nations to keep hysteria from obscuring facts.
"Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific," the declaration states. "Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming.

9. 'Big term' for religious liberty expected at US Supreme Court in 2020 - Christian Post
The U.S. Supreme Court term for 2019-2020 could be a "blockbuster" when it comes to religious freedom issues as the nation's high court. "This is shaking up to be an exciting term for religious liberty," Mark Rienzi, president of the religious freedom legal nonprofit Becket, told reporters on a press call Tuesday.
The Supreme Court has agreed already to hear a handful of cases that carry religious freedom implications, while the court is set to consider other religious liberty petitions that Becket lawyers feel have a good shot at being taken up by the justices.
At this time, there are many legal questions seemingly left open by the Supreme Court's narrow rulings in the last few years, and split circuit court decisions that resulted from the court's sending of high-profile cases back to lower courts to be worked out.

10. Appeals court weighs challenges to Trump abortion rule - AP
An appeals court is considering whether to block a Trump administration rule that bans taxpayer-funded health clinics from referring patients for an abortion - a rule that has already prompted many providers, including Planned Parenthood, to leave a longstanding federal family planning program.
Eleven judges from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco heard arguments Monday in challenges brought by 22 states as well as Planned Parenthood and other organizations. In June, a three-judge panel from the same court allowed the rule to take effect, undoing decisions by judges in Washington, Oregon and California that had put the administration's action on hold.
It wasn't clear how soon the court might rule. If the court blocks the administration's policy, Planned Parenthood and other organizations that have dropped out of Title X might once again apply for grants.

The truth behind this impeachment inquiry
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has announced the Democratic-led House of Representatives will move forward with an official impeachment inquiry, citing that "the president has admitted to asking the president of Ukraine to take actions which would benefit him politically." President Trump says simply that he spoke to the Ukraine president about corruption involving Hunter Biden, Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden's son. Trump is being accused of withholding US military aid from Ukraine to spark an investigation of Hunter Biden, which in turn, would aid the president politically. Democrats and others say this is a crime.
This round of attacks began with an intelligence community "whistleblower" account of the phone call that Trump made to the Ukraine President after freezing some $400 million in military aid to the country, which was later released. The intel "whistleblower," however, was reported to have no direct access to the call, but rather hearsay. Trump has directed the release of the transcript of the July call, saying, "You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call. No pressure." Trump has sent an email to supporters saying: "This is just another smear job and pathetic attempt by Democrats to rip the power from the people. I'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG. TRUST ME, YOU'LL SEE THE TRANSCRIPT." He announced he has launched an "Official Impeachment Defense Task Force," and asked for donations.
The New York Times confirmed in May that Joe Biden's son Hunter was paid as much as $50,000 per month as a board member of the natural gas firm owned by the Ukrainian oligarchy. Breitbart reported that Vice President Biden was heavily involved in mediating US policy towards Ukraine. When a Ukrainian prosecutor launched a corruption investigation into the energy company of which Hunter Biden was a board member, Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in US loan guarantees to the country if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor. The Hill reported in April that the elder Biden bragged to the Council on Foreign Relations in a 2018 speech how he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its prosecutor.
Trump says it was appropriate to ask about corruption before giving aid. The Democrats say that Trump violated his oath of office by using military aid as leverage to undermine his political opponent. You are going to hear the word "treason" thrown around a lot. But treason in the Constitution "shall consist only in levying War against them (the US), or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Did Trump commit an impeachable offense? It doesn't matter because it is all political. The intel community, the Democratic Party, and the media have been licking their chops to render Trump ineffectual or remove him from office since before he took office. This is just another attempt in hopes the voters will vote Trump out. May it be as Ephesians 5:13, "But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light."
Have a blessed and powerful day,

Lyrics
The battle is the Lord's!
The harvest fields are white;
how few the reaping hands appear,
their strength how slight!
Yet victory is sure,
we face a vanquished foe;
then forward with the risen Christ
to battle go!
The battle is the Lord's!
Not ours in strength or skill,
but his alone in sov'reign grace,
to work his will.
Ours, counting not the cost,
unflinching, to obey;
and in his time his holy arm
shall win the day.
The battle is the Lord's!
The Victor crucified
must with the travail of his soul
be satisfied.
The pow'rs of hell shall fail,
and all God's will be done,
'til ev'ry soul whom he has giv'n
to Christ be won.
The battle is the Lord's!
Stand still, my soul, and view
the great salvation of God has wrought,
revealed for you.
Then, resting in his might,
lift high his triumph song,
for pow'r, dominion, kingdom, strength
to God belong!

Young Girl Miraculously Survives Dad's Suicidal Leap in Front of Subway: 'Thanks to God and the Angels Who Protected Her'
During his Monday morning commute, a suicidal man tragically jumped in front of an oncoming train while holding his 5-year-old daughter, killing himself-but, miraculously, the young child somehow survived.
In a gut-wrenching video, the young girl can be seen crawling out from underneath the train and begging the good Samaritans helping her to call an ambulance for her daddy.
According to the police, the 45-year-old man was holding his daughter when he jumped in front of a train at the Kingsbridge Road station in the Bronx after it rounded a curve to stop.
Fernando Balbuena, the man who jumped, was killed by the impact of the train, but the little girl miraculously lived.
The dramatic video shows bystanders helping the young girl climb out from underneath the train following her father's suicide. According to one of the men who helped her, she was calling out for her father the entire time.
"Papa, Papa, Papa, that's it. She didn't say anything else," Antonio Love said, who had helped rescue the child.
. . . After she was rescued, the little girl was brought to the local hospital, only sustaining minor injuries.
"My baby is in perfect condition, thank God to the angels who protected her," Niurka Caraballo, the girl's mother said in Spanish.
According to NBC New York, friends of Balbuena were not aware that he was suicidal, and said that he was a great father.
"This is a tragedy and our thoughts are with the family members as well as with our train operator-this is a traumatic event for everyone involved," MTA spokesman Shams Tarek said, according to WNBC-TV.

'Blessed' Baby Boy, Hours Old and Premature, Found in Suitcase in Texas; How He Narrowly Missed being Compacted
A "beautiful baby boy" was found inside a suitcase near a dumpster in Texas on Saturday - and police have released images of the bag in the hope someone will recognize it, providing information to help them find the child's mother.
The baby, nicknamed "Baby Jason," was discovered in an Arlington apartment complex on Saturday morning. Local police responded to the "terrible call" and transported the hours-old baby to a hospital.
On Tuesday, the Arlington Police Department posted photos of the suitcase and other items on social media, hoping "someone will recognize these items and come forward." The suitcase is small and black, and has a purple stain on the upper front pocket with a combination lock on the handle. The words "Chong Ping" are inscribed on it and its interior is a tan or yellow print.
