A Useful Prayer Resource from Intercessors for America
Dear Friends,
As we are all well aware, this past week has ushered in what is the first shot heard in a war to see President Trump impeached.
The Democrats have launched furious attack against our President, beginning with allegations of misconduct regarding an inquiry into activities in Ukraine by the son of Joseph Biden . . . and more.
WE STAND IN THE SHALOM OF CHRIST IN THE MIDST OF THIS CHAOS, PRAISING HIM BECAUSE HE IS HIGH AND LIFTED UP AND HIS TRAIN FILLS THE TEMPLE, AND BECAUSE IT IS WRITTEN THAT OUR GOD IS THE GOVERNOR OF THE NATIONS! (Psalm 22:28)

The impeachment of truth
Like it or not, the next six months is going to be nothing but impeachment news. The Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), have decided to impeach President Trump. The so-called impeachment inquiry is just a formality. Already the spin on the facts to make them appear as condemning as possible has run through a willing news media like water through a firehose. Truth is being impeached. The decision is made. The impeachment stake is in the ground. It is high drama. It is highly political. Pelosi and her minions wouldn't have decided on an impeachment inquiry unless they were committed to impeaching Trump. The only thing that might stop them, is overwhelming push back from voters.
A member of the intelligence community, who remains anonymous and in secret, had second- and third-hand information about a phone call from Trump to Ukraine's president. The "whistleblower" complaint is reported to allege that Trump was withholding $400 million in US military aid to Ukraine pending an investigation on Hunter Biden's corruption in Ukraine, where then-Vice President Joe Biden pressured Ukraine to fire the prosecutor. The transcript of the call indicates no quid pro quo (no withholding funding in return for such an investigation). The Justice Department Criminal Division investigated the whistleblower complaint and the Trump call, concluding no laws had been broken. Interesting to note that Justice Department officials said that help from a foreign company is not a legal "thing of value" under campaign finance law.
This is what the transcript shows the President said: "There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it . . . It sounds horrible to me." It is well-documented that Joe Biden while Vice President threatened to withhold $1 billion in US loan guarantees to the country if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor. In addition, Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Patrick Leahy (D-VT) wrote a letter to Ukraine's prosecutor demanding cooperation with the Mueller investigation, noting that the senators and the US has supported Ukraine's government and the lack of cooperation was "disappointing."
Biden actually did what the opposition is accusing Trump of doing, although there is no indication to date that Trump threatened to withhold any aid to Ukraine unless an investigation was reopened. In fact, Trump was asking why the investigation had been halted and for cooperation-the same that senators were seeking with Ukraine and Mueller. So why is it a crime for Trump and not a crime for Biden and the senators? Because it is political. It is more important to rid the nation of a president with whom they disagree, than to preserve the integrity of the office and the Constitutional process. As is written in Isaiah 59:14," for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter."

Judge strikes down 'heckler's veto'
A federal judge has struck down a "heckler's veto" law in Iowa that banned pro-life speech activities on the sidewalks outside of abortion businesses.
The American Center for Law and Justice is representing pro-life activists Anthony Miano and Nicholas Rolland, who challenged an Iowa statute that restricted their speech
The law allow authorities to "silence constitutionally protected speech . . . on the basis of a third party's reaction to the speech," ACLJ explained.
It's been characterized as a "heckler's veto," meaning authorities can shut down someone's speech if another person claims to have been offended.
The Iowa law made it a misdemeanor to make "loud and raucous noise in the vicinity of any residence or public building which causes unreasonable distress to the occupants thereof."
But U.S. District Judge Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger ruled the law is "unconstitutionally vague on its face because it subjects speakers to criminal punishment based on the reactions of third parties."
ACLJ said it asked the court to find unconstitutional a state law that has led to the prosecution of its clients "just for spreading a message of hope and peace outside abortion clinics."
. . . ACLJ's clients often read aloud from the Bible, conduct open-air preaching and speak to individuals as they walk to and from the clinics.
"Commenting on matters of public concern, such as abortion, through the spoken word, prayer, and distribution of literature is speech that lies at the heart of the First Amendment and is given the greatest protection from government infringement on public sidewalks," ACLJ argued. "The court agreed, finding that the statute's 'defects are especially acute because § 723.4(2) regulates core First Amendment activity.'"

'Big term' for religious liberty expected at US Supreme Court in 2020
The U.S. Supreme Court term for 2019-2020 could be a "blockbuster" when it comes to religious freedom issues as the nation's high court is set to take on a handful of cases and possibly more that deal with the First Amendment right, lawyers who work for a prominent religious freedom law firm believe.
"This is shaking up to be an exciting term for religious liberty," Mark Rienzi, president of the religious freedom legal nonprofit Becket, told reporters on a press call Tuesday.
"I think this term will see the court have some opportunities to tighten up and improve its doctrine and in the process, perhaps, stem the tide of religious liberty cases it's been getting in recent years by giving some clear answers and some clear resolutions to some lingering controversies." Five cut in incident at Hunt Valley Towne Centre
BALTIMORE COUNTY - Baltimore County Police say they are on the scene at Hunt Valley Towne Centre with Baltimore County Fire Department containing an incident.
Around 1:43p.m. authorities received a call stating that there was a man inside the Hunt Valley Wine Liquor and Beer store demanding money, being aggressive and threatening people with a weapon.
As police were en route, they received a multitude of calls reporting stabbings at the liquor store. Police confirmed that there were four victims stabbed at the liquor store.
The suspect then fled to Noodles & Company in the same shopping center and stabbed the fifth victim.
Police encountered the suspect who was armed with a knife with an approximately 3-inch knife. The police shot and killed the suspect.
Baltimore County Police confirmed that five people were stabbed and transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. There was an off-duty Fire Captain at the shopping center when the incident occurred who administered aid to a victim.
Baltimore County Police and Maryland Transit Administration Police have onset a joint investigation into this suspect after information that the suspect may have been involved in an incident with MTA Police earlier that morning.
Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski says, "I've been in touch with Chief Hyatt in reference to the incident at the Hunt Valley Towne Center. We are extremely grateful that the injuries to the innocent people, who were stabbed in an apparent random incident, appear to be relatively minor. I want to thank the Baltimore County Police Department for a speedy response and resolution to a very scary situation. Any loss of life is tragic and unfortunate. The police department is working to learn more about the suspect in this case. I urge anyone with any information related to this incident to contact the Baltimore County Police Department."
