An Introduction
Dear Friends,
Tonight, the whole world is watching this catastrophic storm as it slowly crawls away from the Bahamas and begins to move up our eastern coast.
Already, we can see the Hand of our Almighty God, commissioning His angels to stand guard over that coast, and to keep the eye of Hurricane Dorian out to see.
Surely, He has heard and has answered our prayers that "surely, even the wind and the waves obey Him!" (Matthew 8:27)
AND to say to this storm as it approaches our coast: "THIS FAR AND NO FURTHER, AND HERE SHALL YOUR PROUD WAVES STOP!" (Job 38:11)
As we pray over the path of this storm in the coming week, CHPP will share prophetic insights and strategic prayer information, instead of the "regular news" about this storm that we are all watching now on all the news media.

At least five people have died and 21 have been injured as slow-moving Hurricane Dorian pummels the Bahamas, Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said Monday, grimly telling the world, "We are in the midst of a historic tragedy."
"We have reports of casualties. We have reports of bodies being seen," he said. "We cannot confirm those reports until we go out and have a look for ourselves."
"We want to say to the citizens here in Abaco, in the impacted area, it is not safe to go outdoors," Henfield added. "Power lines are down, lamp posts are down, trees are across the street - it is very dangerous to be outdoors if you don't have to be outdoors. As soon as the weather permits, first responders will go to those areas where we have reports from individuals who were in distress." (Read more)

States of emergency have been declared and millions are facing evacuation orders from Georgia to Virginia as dangerous Hurricane Dorian, a Category 4 storm, continues to grow in size.
After paralleling the Florida Atlantic coast during the first part of this week, Dorian is forecast to turn northeastward and parallel the Carolina coast with battering winds, pounding waves and torrential rain later this week.
AccuWeather meteorologists continue to believe that the center of Dorian will remain east of Florida, but have concerns for a direct strike on the Carolinas and significant impact is in store for coastal areas even if landfall is avoided. (Read more)

The Hurricane is stalled over Grand Bahama Island Which is where one of the worlds largest container ports with Chinese affiliations is located. It is strategically located near our US East Coast.

6.3-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off Oregon Coast
strong earthquake struck off the coast of Oregon today (Aug. 29), according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The 6.3-magnitude earthquake occurred at 8:07 a.m. local time (11:07 a.m. ET) about 176 miles (284 kilometers) west-northwest of Bandon, Oregon, the USGS reported.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or damage, and no tsunami warning was issued.
Hundreds of people along the Oregon coast reported feeling the temblor, according to data collected by the USGS. (Live Science) Read more.

Father, we pray that You will lift this hurricane off the path of Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and Florida. Remove this threat off death and destruction from these states. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
