Embattled Puerto Rico governor says he will resign
Puerto Rico's Department of Justice confirmed to Fox News Tuesday that search warrants had been issued in an investigation into the governor and 11 of his aides over whether they committed any crimes related to offensive, obscenity-laden online chats that were released.
The leaked conversations reportedly showed the governor mocking women, homosexuals, political opponents and victims of Hurricane Maria. (Fox News) Read more

1. US blocks attempt to condemn Israel at UN - Israel National News
The United States on Wednesday blocked an attempt by Kuwait, Indonesia and South Africa to get the United Nations Security Council to condemn Israel's demolition of illegal Palestinian Arab homes on the outskirts of Jerusalem, diplomats told Reuters.
Israeli forces on Monday morning sealed off and began demolishing ten of the over 100 illegally-built structures erected in defiance of a 2011 Israeli Civil Administration order barring construction near the security fence.
The apartment buildings were built in the Wadi al-Hummus neighborhood of Sur Baher, an Arab enclave located almost entirely in Jerusalem.
The strip of land in Wadi al-Hummus area where the illegal structures are located, however, is just outside of the municipal borders of Jerusalem, but on the Jerusalem side of the security fence.

2. Greenblatt: Palestinian Aspirations for Jerusalem Don't Constitute a Right - Algemeiner
JNS.org - The Palestinian aspiration to a have a capital in Jerusalem is "not a right," and "international consensus is not international law" when it comes to creating a Palestinian state, said US Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt on Tuesday.
"It is true that the PLO and the Palestinian Authority continue to assert that east Jerusalem must be a capital for the Palestinians," Greenblatt told the UN Security Council, "but let's remember-an aspiration is not a right." Addressing a regularly scheduled UNSC on "the situation in the Middle East," Greenblatt said that "international consensus is not international law. So let's stop kidding ourselves. If a so-called international consensus had been able to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it would have done so decades ago. It didn't."
Greenblatt emphasized the limitations of international law in putting an end to the decades-long conflict, arguing that past UN resolutions have been "heavily negotiated, purposely ambiguously worded," that Israelis and Palestinians have different interpretations of the law and that neither has recognized the jurisdiction of any international court.

Former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked turned down tempting job offers in the private sector and decided to use the second chance given to her in the upcoming elections to run for the Knesset as chairwoman of the New Right party, in hopes of leading the camp to the right of the Likud.
In an interview to be published in full on Friday in the Yediot Aharonot newspaper, Shaked says that there are certain conditions without which she will not support Netanyahu.
"We will recommend him only on the condition that he forms a right-wing government and not a left-wing government with [Benny] Gantz and Amir Peretz," she says.
"In 2009 he brought in Ehud Barak, in 2013 he signed first with Tzipi Livni, in 2015 he tried to bring in Buji (Herzog), and last time he negotiated with Avi Gabbay. I have no intention of recommending Netanyahu, only to then see Stav Shafir as Justice Minister and Avi Nissenkorn as Finance Minister," stresses Shaked in the interview.

7. Hebrew University Professor blasts IDF as 'Jewish terrorists,' hopes 'lightning strikes them' - World Israel News
In response to Israel's recent demolition of illegal Arab buildings in Wadi al-Hummus, senior Hebrew University professor Amiram Goldblum called the IDF soldiers who demolished the buildings "Jewish terrorists" and wished for a "lighting bolt" to strike them down.
"If there was a God, he would've brought down a lightning bolt on the Jewish terrorists who destroyed the home," wrote Goldblum on Facebook.
In the same post, Goldblum also called Israel an "apartheid state" and said that he hopes the building's residents seek revenge on the soldiers. "The caligae [derogatory term for soldiers] of the apartheid state Israel are demolishing homes in Area A of miserable Palestinians in a modern method," posted Goldblum. "I hope that the home will avenge its blood against its destroyers and the ones who gave the orders."

1. ABC's Moran: 'Impeachment's Over' - Breitbart
During ABC's coverage of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's testimony before Congress, ABC News Senior National Correspondent Terry Moran responded to Mueller's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee by declaring, "Impeachment's over." Moran said, "I don't think Nancy Pelosi is going to stand for her members bringing forth something that is going to obviously lose in the Senate, lose with the American public. And the problem with Mueller's testimony on this issue is that he had to carry the ball for them some way, whether he wanted to or not, at least by being a vigorous, strong, rock-solid prosecutor.
"And he looked like somebody who'd slowed a step or two, and perhaps, as the Republicans are starting to put out there, maybe he wasn't in control of all those angry Democrats, maybe he's a figurehead, somebody from the past that they put there so they could do their dirty work. 2. FBI Rocked By Public Suicide of TOP FBI Agent Who Investigated Clinton Foundation - TruePundit
FBI agents are mourning the death of one of the Bureau's top financial crimes supervisors who reportedly shot and killed himself on a crowded nite-club dance floor, according to top FBI insiders. Salvatore "Sal" Cincinelli, a former Wall Street broker who joined the FBI in 2010, died last week during a night out after an FBI training session, sources said.
Cincinelli was one a supervisory special agent who spearheaded many of the FBI's high-profile and complex Wall Street investigations, including probing the finances of the Clinton Foundation. After leaving his Wall Street career, Cincinelli was first assigned to the New York field office (SDNY) and later promoted to HQ in Washington, DC. Cincinelli was 41.
FBI agents on site and police instructed witnesses to delete any video and photographs of the event and cleared out the bar, according to reports. Likewise, FBI officials instructed Austin Police to not release any details of the death to the media, sources confirmed. Witnesses at the nite club were also told to "stay offline" and "keep quiet" about the shooting, sources said. (Read more)

3. Trump Extends National Emergency Declaration for Transnational Criminal Organizations - CNS News
President Donald Trump announced Monday that he is extending the national emergency declaration with respect to transnational criminal organizations, which went into effect in 2011. The national emergency declaration would have expired on July 24th.
Trump noted that transnational criminal organizations are becoming "increasingly sophisticated and dangerous" to the U.S. and threaten the country's national security, foreign policy, and economy.
"The activities of significant transnational criminal organizations continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. For these reasons, I have determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13581 with respect to transnational criminal organizations," Trump concluded in the letter. 4. ICE Says Politicians Hampered Enforcement Efforts by Giving Advice to Illegal Immigrants - Epoch Times
The acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement criticized members of Congress on July 23 for assisting illegal immigrants in evading the law.
"There were people in Congress sitting there giving instructions to people illegally in the country and telling them how to avoid detection and avoid the consequences of their illegal activity," Matthew Albence said during a call with reporters.
Albence said ICE is targeting illegal aliens who have been issued a final order of removal by an immigration judge. While the biggest focus is removing those with criminal convictions, Albence said ICE is now removing family units who have failed to show up at court hearings and haven't applied for asylum.
Members of Congress, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and 2020 presidential candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), put out notices on Twitter, advising illegal immigrants on how to avoid being deported. (Read more)

5. Judicial Watch Files House Ethics Complaint against Rep. Ilhan Omar over Potential Immigration, Marriage, Tax, and Student Loan Fraud - Judicial Watch
Judicial Watch announced today that it hand-delivered ethics complaint to Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics David Skaggs calling for a full investigation into potential crimes tied to allegations that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have married her biological brother.
"The evidence is overwhelming Rep. Omar may have violated the law and House rules. The House of Representatives must urgently investigate and resolve the serious allegations of wrongdoing by Rep. Omar," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "We encourage Americans to share their views on Rep. Omar's apparent misconduct with their congressmen." "It appears that Rep. Omar married her brother in order to assist his emigration to the United States from the United Kingdom. The same immigration fraud scheme may have aided Mr. Elmi in obtaining federally-backed student loans for his attendance at North Dakota State University. Mr. Elmi and Rep. Omar simultaneously attended North Dakota State University and may have derived illicit benefits predicated on the immigration fraud scheme."(Read more)

6. Trump sues House Democrats to block release of state tax returns - Axios
President Trump on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against the House Ways and Means Committee, New York Attorney General Letitia James and New York tax commissioner Michael Schmidt in an effort to block them from releasing his state tax returns.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo last month signed a bill known as the TRUST Act that would permit tax officials to turn over Trump's state tax returns to any one of three congressional committees. Trump's lawsuit alleges that the House Ways and Means Committee's invocation of the TRUST Act would "lack a legitimate legislative purpose" and that the law itself violates the First Amendment because the state of New York "enacted it to discriminate and retaliate against President Trump for his speech and politics."
Trump is demanding a permanent injunction to block the committee, the New York attorney general and the New York tax commissioner from exercising the law. 7. USDA Seeks to Close Loophole Allowing 3.1 Million Additional SNAP Users - Breitbart
Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue announced Tuesday that the draft rule on the Federal Register would close a loophole that would allow people in 43 U.S. states to automatically receive food stamp benefits through SNAP if they receive benefits through a program called Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
"For too long, this loophole has been used to effectively bypass important eligibility guidelines. Too often, states have misused this flexibility without restraint," said Perdue in a press release.
The agency is seeking to close this loophole by requiring TANF benefit recipients to go through an income background check to determine their eligibility for SNAP and exclude "broad-based categorical eligibility" that allows those with higher incomes to partake in SNAP benefits, according to USDA officials. 8. NSA creates cybersecurity directorate to unify offensive, defensive operations - Washington Times
The National Security Agency announced the creation Tuesday of a new directorate designed to harmonize the NSA's offensive and defensive operations in cyberspace. The new directorate will be led by Anne Neuberger, NSA's first chief risk officer, and will become operational on Oct. 1, the agency said.
"This new approach to cybersecurity will better position NSA to collaborate with key partners across the U.S. government like U.S. Cyber Command, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It will also enable us to better share information with our customers so they are equipped to defend against malicious cyber activity," the statement said.
Army Gen. Paul M. Nakasone, the head of both the NSA and Cyber Command, said the new directorate "redefines" the intelligence agency's mission in cyberspace. "Over the past couple years, as we did a number of different reorganizations, one of the things I think we lost was that emphasis on cybersecurity," he during the International Conference on Cyber Security at Fordham University in New York City, The Wall Street Journal reported. 9. Current Google Engineer: Big Tech Has Merged with Democrat Party to Sway Political Elections - American Greatness
Greg Coppola, a senior software engineer who works on artificial intelligence at Google's New York office, said he contacted Project Veritas out of concern that Big Tech and the media have merged with the Democrat party to sway political elections. "I've been coding since I was ten, I have a PHD, I have five years' experience at Google and I just know how algorithms are. They don't write themselves. We write them to do what we want them to do," he explained. "I look at search and I look at Google News, and I see what it's doing."
The whistleblower lamented that the tech industry is not interested in free thinking, questioning and debate, but rather in "calling people names to get them to toe a certain line." He told O'Keefe that he came forward as an expert in the field to assure non-programmers that Big Tech is not politically neutral and Google is without a doubt "very politically biased."
"We have to incorporate that into whatever strategy we use to have a Democracy going forward," Coppola suggested. "Are we going to continue to have elections that mean anything?" he asked. Coppola told O'Keefe that his job at Google pays well and he gets to work with "very intelligent coworkers" so coming forward was a "sacrifice" for him. (Read more)

The US Department of Justice has launched a broad probe into top "online platforms" for search, social media, and e-commerce to determine whether they are stifling competition and innovation, the department said in a press release on Tuesday.
Citing "widespread concerns" expressed by consumers, businesses, and entrepreneurs, the Justice Department said it would review "whether and how market-leading online platforms have achieved market power and are engaging in practices that have reduced competition." The review is the government's latest move to take a tougher line with Big Tech and is separate from the various other known investigations and reviews of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Alphabet that are already being carried out by the DOJ and the Federal Trade Commission. The truth behind the Mueller hearing
The long-awaited testimony of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller before the democrat-controlled House Judiciary and Intelligence committees is part of a larger plan to keep the Russian-Trump conspiracy story before the public. Democrats know quite well that little, if any, new information will arise, but the main reason for the hearing is to keep the entire fake news story thriving among the media and voters who may swing Democrat come election time. Case in point is the entire social media campaign House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office has built around the hearing. In addition, Pelosi is equipping Democrats with a six-page talking point document that you know the press will also have handy.
The document, found on SCRIBD.com is titled "Exposing the Truth" is a Democratic Party propaganda tool aimed at carrying the false narrative that "House Democrats act to safeguard out democracy and protect our national security . . . Exposing and combating president Trump's crimes, corruption and cover-up." Its first paragraph says it all: "Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report uncovered the truth behind one of the most serious attacks on our democracy in our history. The report revealed that the Russians waged an all-out, systematic assault on the 2016 elections to benefit Donald Trump, Trump and his campaign team eagerly welcomed and even encouraged this attack and that Trump and his allies then took calculated steps to obstruct the investigation and cover up the truth."
Then the talking-point document makes another outrageous claim: "The Administration has engaged in unparalleled abuses of power and corruption while hiding the truth from the American public - and just this month, President Trump said he would again accept campaign help from the Russian government to win the 2020 election. The fact that the President would betray our country and jeopardize our national security to accept assistance from a foreign adversary to disrupt our elections should alarm all Americans." What should alarm Americans is the propaganda value of such a document and the social media campaign that will tweet, retweet and amplify these claims in complete denial of the Mueller Report findings.
Mueller said the Russians tried to influence the 2016 Presidential elections, but President Trump was not part of any coordination with that effort. Mueller said that there was no decision whether the President obstructed the investigation.The Democrats are using their majority in the House as a platform to remove the President. They are obstructing the government by not working on issues, but rather fomenting discord among Americans. Lies, deceit, half-truths are the currency of this ongoing political coup. Don't be deceived by it. Check out the facts for yourself. As Ephesians 5:6 says, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."

All-time high temperature records shattered in multiple countries as heat wave scorches Europe
Temperature records began to fall across France on Tuesday, and more are expected in the upcoming days as locations brace for the second major heat wave of the summer.
Bordeaux, in southwestern France, reported its highest ever temperature on Tuesday as the mercury climbed to 41.2 C (106.2 F). Several other locations across southwestern France also reported all-time high temperatures on Tuesday, according to Meteo France.
Temperature records continued to be shattered on Wednesday as new all-time high temperatures were set in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
The temperature reached 38.8 C (101.8 F) in Gilze en Rijen in the southern Netherlands, breaking the previous record from 1944.
In Belgium, a high temperature of 39.9 C (103.8 F) was reported in Kleine Brogel, setting a new standard for the highest temperature ever in the country. (Accuweather.com) Read more.

Texas Governor Signs 'Born Alive Act' Protecting Babies Who Are Born Alive following a Failed Abortion
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced last week that he has signed into law a bill that would protect infants who were born alive after an attempted abortion procedure. The "Born Alive Act" creates a doctor-patient relationship between the infant and the doctor, which requires that doctors "must exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious physician would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age."
In announcing his signing of the bill, Gov. Abbott contrasted Texas with other states that passed bills allowing late-term abortions, CBN News reports. He said, in some states leaders support abortion until the last minute of pregnancy - even after a child is born. Not in Texas. I formally signed the Born Alive Act to make it illegal to kill a child who survives an abortion. It also ensures the baby receives needed medical care."
Gov. Abbott said the bill, "Defends the sanctity of life and creates civil and criminal penalties for infanticide in Texas. It provides a baby who survives an abortion the full protection of the law in Texas and ensures that the baby receives the appropriate medical care." (Christian Headlines.com) Read more.
