1. Iran general says Tehran aims to wipe Israel off the 'global political map' - Times of Israel

The deputy head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Monday that Tehran's strategy was to eventually wipe Israel off the "global political map."

Asked by a reporter in Tehran about Israeli threats to strike Iranian forces deployed in Syria, Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami was quoted by Iranian news outlets as saying, "Our strategy is to erase Israel from the global political map. And it seems that, considering the evil that Israel is doing, it is bringing itself closer to that."

He added: "We announce that if Israel does anything to start a new war, it will obviously be the war that will end with its elimination, and the occupied territories will be returned. The Israelis will not have even a cemetery in Palestine to bury their own corpses."

2. 'Missiles from Gaza and Lebanon are ready to be fired at Israel' - Israel National News

General Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, referred for the first time to the espionage affair involving former minister Gonen Segev, whom he called "the Israeli cabinet minister who became a source of intelligence information."

The Iranian Desk of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs published the statements of Shamkhani, who added, "While the affairs of corruption are about to suffocate the Israeli prime minister, whose cabinet ministers have become a source of information for Iran and under whose feet hundreds of kilometers of tunnels have been dug, he creates unnecessary noise and still claims that his regime enjoys intelligence superiority. "

"Accurate missiles are in the strong hands of the resistance fighters in Gaza and Lebanon, and they are ready to fire at Israel if it commits an act of stupidity. The shooting of the missiles can make their lives hell," Shamkhani said, threatening Israel.

3. Abbas accepts Hamdallah's resignation, asks government to stay on for transition - Times of Israel

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas accepted the resignation of his prime minister Tuesday, but asked the government to stay on until a new one is formed.

PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and his government tendered their resignations earlier Tuesday, marking the end of a failed unity bid with rival Hamas.

Abbas accepted the resignations but assigned Hamdallah and his fellow ministers the task of maintaining the PA government's operations until the formation of a new one, the official PA news site Wafa reported.

4. PA dropping bid to become full UN member - Israel National News

The Palestinian Authority (PA) is dropping its bid to become a full member of the UN, its UN envoy said Monday, according to The Associated Press.

The envoy, Riyad Mansour, told reporters that the day will come when "obstacles" in the Security Council to full UN membership for "Palestine" will be removed "but that day is not today."

The main hurdle is the United States which would more than likely veto any Security Council resolution granting the PA full membership of the global body. The US says the only way PA can gain full membership at the UN is by negotiating a peace deal with Israel.

5. Ministry Leaders Meet In Jerusalem - Jerusalem Post

More than 150 pastors from 20 nations, including such countries as Malaysia and both Koreas, were hosted at Yad Vashem on Tuesday as part of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem's annual "Envision" conference.

The gathering for ministry leaders within the ICEJ's global movement is held each year around International Holocaust Remembrance Day, to better familiarize them with Israel's biblical and modern history and to build understanding for the current challenges facing the Jewish state and people.

1. Top Pakistani Court Upholds Acquittal, Frees Captive Christian Asia Bibi - CBN News

Asia Bibi is now free to leave Pakistan and join her daughters in Canada after more than eight years of prison and detention. The Islamic country's highest court has just upheld its acquittal of Bibi, clearing her of all charges of blasphemy.

A friend told the Associated Press anonymously, fearing for his own safety, that Bibi is overjoyed, quoting her: "I am really grateful to everybody, now after nine years it is confirmed that I am free and I will be going to hug my daughters."

Her attorney called Tuesday's ruling a victory not only for Bibi but for Pakistan's constitution and rule of law. One justice went as far as to say Bibi's accusers were guilty of perjury, and if the case had not been so sensitive, they should have been jailed for life. (Read more)

- Thank You and Praise You, Father, for delivering our sister, Asia Bibi, from false witnesses and violent men! We pray You will bless her with healing and peace as she begins her new life.

- All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.
(Isaiah 54:13)

2. Franklin Graham Tells Catholic Leaders to 'Take a Moral Stand' Against Cuomo Over Abortion Law - CBN News

Evangelist Franklin Graham is calling on Catholic leaders to "take a moral stand" in light of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's (D) decision to sign a new law that removes restrictions on late-term abortions and allows babies to be aborted up until the moment of birth. Cuomo says he is Catholic but came under fire from church leaders after he signed the abortion law. Some even called for Cuomo's excommunication from the faith. But not everyone agreed. Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of New York, told "Fox & Friends" Monday morning that Gov. Cuomo isn't going to be moved by excommunication, "so what's the use?"

Graham, however, urged the archbishop to stand firm. "I call on my friend Cardinal Dolan to take a moral stand. Whether it moves the governor's calloused heart or not, it will have a great impact on not only the church in New York, but on the church worldwide. My question would be-if the church loses their moral voice, then what's the use? It's about standing for right over wrong, good over evil," Graham wrote Tuesday on Facebook. (Read more)

- Father, the injustice of this law and its implicit depravity have united Your Church. Hear our prayers and judge this law. We ask You to dry up every womb where the mother would choose or be pressured to have an abortion.

- What has happened to us is a result of our evil deeds and our great guilt, and yet, our God, you have punished us less than our sins deserved and have given us a remnant like this. (Ezra 9:13)

3. Democrats to Remove 'So Help Me God' From House Committee Oath, Draft Shows - Neon Nettle

According to the draft, the House Committee on Natural Resources would require witnesses to recite only: "Do you solemnly swear or affirm, under penalty of law, that the testimony that you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?" The new rule proposals have the words "So help you God" in red brackets, which indicated they are about to be removed.

Many federal oaths include the phrase "So help me God," but some, including the presidential oath of office, does not. The full committee will vote on the proposed new language this week and take immediate effect if adopted.

Other committees were still in the process of finalizing their rules on Monday. Reacting to the new rules, House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney said, "It is incredible, but not surprising, that the Democrats would try to remove God from committee proceedings in one of their first acts in the majority," House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo said. (Read more)

- Father, we pray this phrase, "So help me God," will not be removed from the House Committee on Natural Resources or any other committee within our government. We pray every person testifying before Congress will continue to be reminded that they are ultimately accountable to You.

- But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. (Acts 26:22a)

4. Hundreds of migrants cross Arizona border after 'several busloads' dropped off in Mexico - CNN

In the early morning hours Thursday, several busloads of migrants were dropped off on Highway 2 in Mexico, just south of the Arizona border. "They walked about 100 yards, climbed under and over the vehicle barrier that is the only infrastructure in that area and agents were called in to make the arrest," said acting Tucson Border Patrol Chief Jeffrey Self.

In total, 242 people -- mostly families from Guatemala -- were arrested when Border Patrol agents arrived at the scene after the migrants were detected by a mobile surveillance system. This was one of the largest single groups crossing the Arizona border over the last year, according to Border Patrol, and comes on the heels of other large groups illegally crossing at other parts of the border.

In December, Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan raised concerns that a new trend was emerging of very large groups of migrants arriving at the southern border by bus and unloading in remote areas. Medical staff were flown on a helicopter to the Ajo Border Patrol station to screen every child in the group and more than a dozen adults complaining of medical issues. Two children were sent to the hospital with high fevers and were later re-released to Border Patrol custody. (Read more)

- Father, we pray You will give President Trump and his advisors the wisdom to work with congressional leaders and do what is necessary to solve the immigration problems on our border.

- Do not move the ancient boundary which your fathers have set. (Proverbs 22:28)

5. Hispanic pastors praise Trump for work on border security as President touts growing support - Christian Post

A group of Hispanic pastors praised President Donald Trump for his work on border security and pushing to build his controversial wall at a meeting at the White House Friday. "They have tremendous congregations of pastors and ministers anywhere in this country. And they've been talking to me for a long period of time. And you probably saw we went up 19 percent with the Hispanic population. Part of it is the jobs because they're doing record-setting jobs right now. But part of it is what we talk about - the wall and security," Trump said in his meeting with the group.

Waco pastor Ramiro Pena delivered a letter he said was endorsed by 150 Hispanic evangelical leaders expressing thanks for the president's "good faith efforts" to work with Democrats on border security. "We're here to support you, Mr. President. You know, there's misconception in the public, thinking that Spanish community is for illegal immigration. There's a misconception also that we want open borders," Pastor Guillermo Maldonado of King Jesus Ministry in Miami said. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for these Hispanic pastors, who are grateful for economic opportunity and the return of law and order to our border with Mexico.

- My mouth will speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart will be understanding. (Psalm 49:3)

6. Matthew Whitaker: Mueller Probe 'Close To Being Completed' - Daily Caller

Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said Monday that special counsel Robert Mueller is nearing the end of his investigation. "The investigation is, I think, close to being completed, and I hope that we can get the report from Director Mueller as soon as possible," Whitaker said at a press conference to announce an indictment against Huawei, a Chinese telecom company.

Whitaker said that he had been "fully briefed on the investigation" being led by Mueller, a former FBI director. Whitaker's surprise remarks are the first confirmation from a government official that the investigation is nearing its end. Reports have suggested that Mueller was in the process of writing a final report. NBC News reported in December that Mueller planned to turn over a final report by mid-February. (Read more)

- Father, we lift up the final report from the Mueller investigation to You. We pray its contents will be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. If Mr. Mueller has chosen to misrepresent the facts, we pray You will reveal the truth to all.

- Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)

7. Conservatives Unite Against H.R. 1, 'Ultimate Fantasy of the Left' - Breitbart

Over 150 conservative leaders nationwide released a "Memo to the Movement" from the Conservative Action Project on Monday, declaring that they are opposed to the Democrats' kick-off legislation H.R. 1, which would profoundly shift elections toward liberal candidates and open the door to rampant voter fraud, calling Speaker Nancy Pelosi's bill "the ultimate fantasy of the left."

"Conservatives are united in opposing H.R. 1, the attempt by House Democrats to fundamentally undermine the American electoral system," the Memo begins. It explains several key features of Pelosi's inaugural legislation, outlining how it is designed to ensure that a liberal Democrat wins the White House in 2020 and the Left gains unified control of Congress and well as take over state governments.

Pelosi's legislation is a massive federal power grab away from the states. The Constitution gives primary authority to the sovereign states to conduct elections. This bill empowers the federal government to micromanage elections by requiring states to get "preclearance" from Washington, D.C., before changing their election procedures. (Read more)

- Father, we pray the freedom to choose our representatives will not be undermined through this very bad law, HR 1, or any law similar to it.

- The wicked are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous stands firm. (Proverbs 12:17)

8. Trump Admin Moves to Protect Religious Liberty in Adoptions, Foster Care - Free Beacon

Days before leaving office President Obama implemented new regulations that targeted religious foster care providers by requiring recipients of federal assistance to abandon "discriminatory" standards in placement. The Obama-era rules could run afoul of religious liberty protections, according to Lynn Johnson, assistant secretary for the department's Administration for Children and Families.

"Faith-based organizations that provide foster care services not only perform a great service for their communities, they are exercising a legally protected right to practice their faith through good works," Johnson said in a statement. "The government should not be in the business of forcing foster care providers to close their doors because of their faith. Religious freedom is a fundamental human right."

Religious providers have been forced to close their doors after regulators in states such as Illinois and Massachusetts because they did not place children in homosexual households. Johnson said the federal government should not pressure religious believers to violate the tenets of their faith in order to serve vulnerable children. Religious liberty advocates and various religious sects, including the Catholic Church and Southern Baptists praised the administration's decision. (Read more)

- Father, we pray every child in need will be placed in loving, Christian homes. Give us, Your Church, the courage to love these hurting little ones and bring them into relationship with You.

- A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families. (Psalm 68:5-6a)

9. Venezuela's Christians urge prayer as crisis mounts - Christianity Today

Venezuela's churches have called for prayer amid the country's crisis as pressure mounts on President Maduro to step down from his position. Mass demonstrations against the economic mismanagement that has seen the country plunged into poverty have been taking place.

According to Evangelical Focus, Pastor Samuel Olson, president of the Evangelical Council of Venezuela, invited the nation to pray 'together as a family, asking God that through His Holy Spirit cares, directs and blesses our nation in this critical hour of its history'.

Evangelical Focus also cites the Confederation Union of Christian Churches of Venezuela as backing opposition leader Juan Guaidó as the man 'called to conduct the nation in this period of transition'. The group also called for 'an end to the usurpation of the Presidency of the Republic', and asked for 'an urgent government of transition and free elections in the context of a big national agreement'. (Read more)

- Father, we lift up our suffering brothers and sisters in Venezuela and join with them in prayer - that You will care, direct and bless them through this transition. Restore them, in Jesus Name.

- Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. (Psalm 71:20)

9. Ebola death toll surges in DR Congo - France24

The number of people killed in an Ebola outbreak in eastern DR Congo has risen to 443, health authorities have announced, as new President Felix Tshisekedi began his first full day in office on Friday.

The rising death toll -- up by more than 40 in the past ten days -- emphasises the challenge of controlling the epidemic in the strife-torn east and is just one of a host of complex issues facing Tshisekedi.

Tshisekedi was sworn in on Thursday following a long-delayed and bitterly disputed election, replacing Joseph Kabila after 18 turbulent years in charge of sub-Saharan Africa's biggest country. In his inaugural address, Tshisekedi promised a new era of respect for human rights. He also faces entrenched poverty, corruption and fighting between militias who control parts of the east.

In a bulletin on Thursday, the health ministry outlined the growth of the Ebola outbreak. "Since the start of the epidemic, the total number of cases is 715, including 666 confirmed and 49 probable. In all, there have been 443 deaths" in the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri, the ministry said.

DR Congo, formerly Zaire, has seen 10 outbreaks of the highly contagious hemorrhagic disease since it was first identified in 1976 near the Ebola river in the northwest of the country. (Read more)

- Lord, we take authority over this disease wherever it roams on the earth, bind it tightly and say this far and no farther!

"Behold I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

10. Pentagon: Several Thousand More Troops to the Mexico Border - Newsmax

Acting Defense Secretary Pat Shanahan says the U.S. will be sending "several thousand" more American troops to the southern border to provide additional support to Homeland Security.

He says the troops will mainly be used to install additional wire barriers and provide increased surveillance of the area. Plans call for about 150 more miles of concertina wire.

The Pentagon has approved an extended U.S. deployment to the border through the end of September. Officials have been working out how many forces are needed and which ones should be tapped.

Members of Congress pressed Pentagon leaders during a Capitol Hill hearing to better explain the deployment and what missions are suffering because troops are at the border.

There are about 2,400 U.S. forces working on the border mission. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You for this move by President Trump, to enhance the security of our southern border. We ask that You keep all who work there safe from harm. In Your Name, we pray, amen.

- "He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)

Turkey making a prophetic move in Syria

The meeting between Turkey's dictator president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russia's President Vladimir Putin was couched on the premise of peace, but it was more likely jockeying for position to war on Israel. Let us remember in May 2018 when Turkey attempted to use the terrorist group Hamas-inspired riots, ostensibly in response to the US recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, to unite the Islamic world against Israel. Press TV reported "Ankara has reacted with fury to the killing Monday of 60 Palestinians in clashes and protests, on the same day as the United States formally moved its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem al-Quds from Tel Aviv in defiance of international outrage."

Turkey led the media charge that Israel is a terrorist state because it "massacred" some 60 "Palestinians" on the day the US Embassy was dedicated. And the generally anti-Israel media and the United Nations bought into the propaganda as if Israel just decided to go out and kill scores of innocents. It mattered not that even Hamas' official Salah Bardawil admitted that at least 50 of the 62 people killed were members of his terrorist group. In short, the violent riots referred to as the "March of Return," are inspired, agitated and organized by Hamas and supported by other terror groups. As White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah said in response, "The responsibility for these tragic deaths rest squarely with Hamas. Israel has the right to defend itself." Turkey continues to maneuver toward leading the Islamic world against Israel.

In Daniel 8:19, Gabriel says, "Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia." Strong's Concordance interprets the word "Grecia" in Hebrew as "Yavan, a son of Japheth (the third son of Noah)," his descendants and their land. The Genesis 10 table of nations indicates this area was not only Greece (as Bible interpretations imply), but also the Eastern Mediterranean, including key parts of today's Turkey. Other sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras-many settled in ancient areas of Turkey, which are mentioned in Ezekiel 38. This is why we need to keep an eye on Turkey when considering end time prophecy.

Gog of Magog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal leads the Islamic world against Israel in the end time battle prophesied in Ezekiel 38. Participants from modern Turkey include Magog, Tubal, Meshech, Gomor, and Togarmah. Others named are Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (Sudan), Libya, Sheba and Dedan (also Noah's grandsons from Ham-thought to be South Arabia), and Tarshish (unknown but possibly Tunisia or Lebanon). These are all Islamic nations today. The Koran has over 100 verses instructing to fight and kill those who do not follow Islam, specifically Jews and Christians. As prophecy comes more clearly into focus, it could be the Beast of Revelation, that rages against God's people, hails from a revived Ottoman Empire, with Turkey, where the seat of satan resides, leading the way. And we may be seeing it starting to form.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Classic Hymns

Oh For A Thousand Tongues to Sing

I . . . heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands. (Revelation 5:11)

Lyrics

1 O for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer's praise,
the glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of his grace!

2 My gracious Master and my God,
assist me to proclaim,
to spread thro' all the earth abroad
the honors of your name.

3 Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
that bids our sorrows cease,
'tis music in the sinner's ears,
'tis life and health and peace.

4 He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
he sets the prisoner free;
his blood can make the foulest clean;
his blood availed for me.

5 To God all glory, praise, and love
be now and ever given
by saints below and saints above,
the Church in earth and heaven.

Words: Charles Wesley, 1739

Melody: Carl Gottholf Glaser, 1742

About the Hymn:

Wesley wrote this hymn to commemorate the first anniversary of his conversion to Christ. He notes in his Journal:

Sunday, May 21, 1738. I waked in expectation of His coming. At nine my brother and some friends came and sang a hymn to the Holy Ghost. My comfort and hope were hereby increased. In about half an hour they went. I betook myself to prayer the substance as follows: O Jesus, thou hast said, I will come unto you; thou hast said, I will send the Comforter unto you. thou hast said, My Father and I will come unto you, and make our abode with you. Thou art my God, who canst not lie. I wholly rely upon thy most true promise: accomplish it in thy time and manner . . . Still I felt a violent opposition and reluctance to believe, yet still the Spirit of God strove with my own and the evil spirit till by degrees he chased away the darkness of my unbelief. I found myself convinced, I knew not how or when, and immediately fell to intercession.

U.S. Government Update: Earth's Magnetic Pole Shifting Much Faster Than Previously Thought

On Wednesday, the United States government is due to release a report showing that the magnetic north pole is shifting far more quickly than previously thought, indicating something strange is happening deep beneath the earth's crust.

On January 30, the World Magnetic Model governing modern navigation systems is due to undergo an unscheduled update. This update, delayed because of the U.S. Government shutdown, is a vital component of almost every navigational system in use today. The current model set up in 2015 was expected to remain valid until 2020 but the magnetic pole is shifting so quickly that officials decided it needed to be adjusted.

The magnetic pole is mostly the result of ferrous fluids moving around in the earth's core. In the last 30 years, the rate of distance that the magnetic north pole moves per year sped up from about 9.3 miles per year to around 34 miles per year, moving out of northern Canada, across the Arctic Ocean, and toward Siberia.
Scientists confirm that the magnetic pole shift is happening and that it will have a major impact on the planet. Researchers estimated that the planet's magnetic field has already lost 30 percent of its intensity in the last 3,000 years and predict it will drop to near zero in the next few centuries. This phenomenon referred to as South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) is blamed for an increasing number of electronic failures of navigation and communication satellites and may affect earth-bound power grids. The shifting polarity of the planet may also be behind outbreaks of migrating birds becoming confused and dying.
. . . This reduction in the planet's magnetic field may have another, more alarming implication than merely inconveniencing navigation. The magnetic field shields the earth from most of the harmful radiation and particles emitted from the sun. (Breaking Israel News( Read more

Still Want to Boycott Israel? Israeli Scientists Find Cure for Cancer

For all the Israel-haters out there, they'd better hope that that Israelis are forgiving if they are stricken with cancer, because if a new report out of Israel turns out to be true, scientists in the Jewish state have discovered a cure. And not just a cure for certain forms of cancer, but a complete cure for the deadly disease.

According to Dan Aridor, chairman of the board of Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi) and CEO Dr. Ilan Morad, their treatment will not need time for the body to acculturate to it before it works. Aridor stated, "We believe we will offer in a year's time a complete cure for cancer. Our cancer cure will be effective from day one and will have no or minimal side-effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments on the market. Our solution will be both generic and personal."

As the Jerusalem Post reports, "An estimated 18.1 million new cancer cases are diagnosed worldwide each year, according to reports by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Further, every sixth death in the world is due to cancer, making it the second leading cause of death (second only to cardiovascular disease)."

The treatment is called MuTaTo (multi-target toxin), and works much like antibiotics do in targeting bacteria. MuTaTo is based on SoAP technology, which works by finding, binding and removing bacteria by utilizing bacteriophage-derived proteins. Bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria.
