1. ANALYSIS: The Iranian Axis is nearing Israel's border - Israel National News

Between 45,000 and 120,000 Syrian civilians fled their homes in the Daraa and Kuneitra provinces in Syria this week, the United Nations and Emad Batin, deputy chairman of the regional government of the Syrian province of Daraa, reported on Wednesday.

Many of these refugees have taken refuge along the Israeli border in the hope that the Syrian army, supported by Iran and Russia, will not attempt to enter the region along the border on the Golan Heights.

Another group tried to flee to Jordan. However, the government in Amman has closed the border with Syria because it is no longer able to accommodate new Syrian refugees. King Abdullah II fears unrest among the Jordanian people who recently protested emergency measures that were introduced to save the country's economy.

Jordan has taken in more than 1.3 million Syrian refugees who have aggravated an already bad economic situation in the country.

2. Syrians fleeing fighting call on Israel to save them - Jerusalem Post

On Friday Syrians fleeing the fighting in southern Syria near the Golan pleaded for help. A child held a sign reading "Assad, ISIS, Iran and Hezbollah gangsters are the heads of terrorism in the world," while a doctor gave a short speech in a video posted online.

In the video a dozen men and children held signs and called for help from Israel and the US, saying they had been abandoned by the world. One of the signs requested that the UN forces return to their bases near the demilitarized zone between Israeli forces and Syria. Up to 60,000 civilians have fled fighting in southern Syria in the last week as the Syrian regime, backed by Russian airpower, has launched a major offensive. Thousands arrived at the border with Israel over the last 48 hours. The IDF delivered 300 tents and tons of food and humanitarian supplies for children on Thursday night.

The Friday video is the first public call for assistance from Israel. The video was posted by a user who has been known as a local spokesman for the Syrian rebels near the Golan. The video shows a man, identified as a displaced doctor, giving a short speech and says Israel should protect civilians next to the "occupied Golan." The men say that the Arab states have abandoned the civilians who are fleeing. "Putin arranged the World Cup in Russia and here [is killing] Syrian children with helicopters," the signs held by the protestors said.

3. IDF sends humanitarian aid to Syria in overnight operation - YNET News

The IDF delivered about 60 tons of humanitarian aid to the Syrian Golan Heights on Thursday night after some 120,000 fled the southwestern part of the country in the wake of the Syrian army's onslaught in the area.

- During the special overnight operation, some 300 tents, 13 tons of food, 15 tons of baby food, three pallets of medical equipment and medicine and some 30 tons of clothes and shoes were transferred into Syria from four different spots on the border.

The aid was transferred to Syrian refugee camps in the southern and central parts of the Syrian Golan. The camps, located near the border with Israel, house several thousands of Syrians under poor conditions with no access to water, electricity, food or other basic necessities.

4. UN calls for armed groups to leave Golan area separating Israel-Syria forces - Times of Israel

UNITED NATIONS - The UN Security Council on Friday unanimously renewed for six months its mission to observe the ceasefire in the Golan Heights, calling for armed groups to leave the area separating Syrian and Israeli forces.

"There should be no military forces in the area of separation other than those of UNDOF," read the resolution drafted by the United States and Russia. UNDOF, which comprises nearly 1,000 personnel, was created in 1974 after an agreement on the departure of Israeli and Syrian forces from the Golan.

The nearby area has become a focus point in recent days as Syrian government forces have launched an assault on rebels in the area causing tens of thousands of Syrians to flee since the beginning of the offensive. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said that nearly 100 civilians have been killed.

5. Israel deploys tanks, artillery forces at Syria border - Israel Hayom

Israel's military said it deployed additional tank and artillery forces on the Syrian front on Sunday as a precaution given intensified fighting over the border between the Syrian army and rebels.

"The forces deployed this morning as part of preparations and readiness, in light of developments on the Syrian Golan Heights," the military said in a tweet Sunday, adding that Israel was sticking to its longtime policy of non-intervention in Syria's civil war.

"The IDF will continue to maintain its non-involvement in Syria while at the same time responding forcefully to any violation of Israel's sovereignty or endangerment of Israel's citizens," the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said in a statement.

In Syria, meanwhile, a string of rebel-held towns and villages accepted government rule on Saturday as insurgent lines collapsed in parts of southwest Syria under an intense bombardment that the United Nations says has forced 160,000 people to flee.

1. Trump riding high on tax cut boon: 'Unleashed economic miracle' - Washington Times

President Trump on Friday touted the benefit of the tax cut law he signed six months ago, saying it had "unleashed an economic miracle."

"At last our country finally has a tax system that is pro-jobs, pro-worker, pro-family and pro-America," Mr. Trump said at a White House event to mark the six month anniversary of signing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

The tax cuts are the centerpiece of Mr. Trump's economic agenda. It's also the chief argument for Republicans in this year's midterm elections. The president highlighted the positive economic data, from historic low unemployment rates to massive investment flowing into the U.S.

Workers have realized some immediate gains from the tax cuts, including more than 6 million American workers receiving bonuses and hourly wages growing at the fastest rate in at least a decade. The president said the tax cuts meant "more jobs, bigger paychecks and keeping more or your hard earned money in your pocket or wherever you want to spend it." Every Democrat in Congress voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that we have a President that is seeking the best for the American worker and not a way to maintain power for himself and his party. We know that these blessings ultimately come from You, and we pray that all Americans will turn to You in thanksgiving for these blessings and not take them for granted. We pray Americans will serve You and You only.

- "And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee." (Exodus 23:25)

2. Liberals freak out over Kennedy retirement: 'abortion access, same-sex marriage . . . on the line now' - LifeSite News

Wednesday's sudden news of Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement from the US Supreme Court provoked near-instantaneous responses of fear and anger from Democrat officeholders, left-wing commentators, and pro-abortion activists.

"[A] woman's constitutional right to access legal abortion is in dire, immediate danger-along with the fundamental rights of all Americans," NARAL President Ilyse Hogue said. She called the possibility of Roe's overturn-which would not immediately ban abortion, but merely restore the freedom of individual states to vote on it for themselves-a "moment of deep crisis" for the country.

Reactions were even more unhinged across social media, as compiled by Twitchy and The Daily Caller, with a consensus emerging that Trump's impending replacement constitutes a crisis. "All civil and human rights are at stake," left-wing activist and former Democrat candidate Rev. Al Sharpton claimed, while Daily Beast writer Thor Benson claimed that as a "member of the LGBTQ community, Justice Kennedy being replaced threatens my rights," along with "the rights of minorities, women and Muslims." (Read more)

- Dear Lord, we set a watch over the follow-up to the announcement of the retirement of Justice Kennedy. We pray You will shut the mouths of those who are out of tune with Your plans for America and that You will bring failure to plans to disrupt our society so that the extreme anger on the left will not manifest. May the voices of righteousness be louder than that of the enemy. In Your Name, amen.

- "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7)

3. Supreme Court justice nominee coming July 9, Trump says - Fox News

The nominee to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will be announced on July 9, President Trump said on Friday. Trump, who is in New Jersey for the weekend, said he plans to interview one or two candidates on Saturday or Sunday before announcing his nominee after the Fourth of July. "I've got it narrowed to about five," he said, including two women.

Kennedy announced Wednesday that he is retiring, effective July 31, giving the president the opportunity to make a second pick for the Supreme Court. While speaking to reporters inflight to Morristown, New Jersey on Friday afternoon, Trump mentioned Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah. "He said he'd like the job," Trump noted. "Usually they don't say that." Lee and his brother, Utah Supreme Court Justice Thomas Lee, are both on the list to replace Kennedy - setting up a sibling showdown over who could get the nod.

With Kennedy's departure, Republicans have a chance to tip the balance of the court. It already has four justices picked by Democratic presidents and four picked by Republicans, so Trump's pick could shift the ideological balance toward conservatives for years to come. (Read more)

- For such a serious matter as this, Lord, we seek Your wisdom for our President to make the choice that You desire concerning the next Supreme Court nominee. We bind away all influences on President Trump that would lead him to a less than ideal choice in this matter. We further speak a smooth confirmation process for him or her and bind away all foolishly based objections. We pray that this choice and this confirmation process will be pleasing in Your sight. Amen.

- "I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city." (Isaiah 1:26)

4. Feminist Law Professor Being Considered for Supreme Court - The Eagle Forum

Liberals have secretly positioned the feminist adjunct law professor Ms. Joan Larsen for top consideration to fill Anthony Kennedy's vacancy on the Supreme Court. Larsen is probably interviewing with Trump this weekend in New Jersey. Reagan wrongly picked feminist Sandra Day O'Connor without even interviewing other candidates.

There is nothing pro-life about Larsen. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley likes her because she's originally from Waterloo, Iowa, they went to the same college, and her parents still live in Grassley's home state. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell likes her because she has briefly been on the Sixth Circuit, which presides over McConnell's home state of Kentucky.

Liberals like her because she's a feminist. Larsen wrote almost nothing on her own while trying to become a professor at the University of Michigan law school. According to its bio of her here, Larsen apparently never even got tenure. As a judge for short periods on the Michigan Supreme Court and then the Sixth Circuit, she has written almost nothing. The media would have a field day mocking her work-product, and she'll cave in to the Left just as David Souter did in order stop the ridicule of his chambers as a "black hole" by the New York Times.

Larsen is married to Adam Pritchard, a law professor at the liberal school. Larsen has publicly declared that "sexism still exists in the career of law." I wonder if she feels that sexism hindered her career at the U. of Mich.

We all cheered when Reagan had a vacancy in 1981, but then he filled it with Sandra Day O'Connor. Her swing vote resulted in more than 40 million more abortions. Larsen has mentioned Roe v. Wade often without ever criticizing it.

We don't want history to repeat itself at the expense of the unborn. Please object loudly to the consideration of Larsen for the Supreme Court.

- Father, we thank You for watchmen on the wall like Andy Schlafly. May we take heed to his warning and do all we can to get the word out that this is one nominee we do not want seated at the Supreme Court. In Your Name, amen.

- "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power . . ." (Psalm 110:3)

5. Report: DOJ Plan Would Bar Border Hoppers From Getting Asylum - Newsmax

The Department of Justice is crafting a plan that would prohibit any migrant convicted of crossing the border illegally from receiving asylum, Vox reported Friday. One source told Vox that the proposed changes are "the most severe restrictions on asylum since at least 1965" and "possibly even further back" - 1965 is when current legal immigration law was passed.

The proposed changes are consistent with Attorney General Jeff Sessions' ruling earlier this month that makes it nearly impossible for Central Americans to cite violence as a provision to apply for asylum to the U.S. "Generally, claims by aliens pertaining to domestic violence or gang violence perpetrated by non-governmental actors will not qualify for asylum," Sessions wrote in an internal memo. The AG also told immigration judges earlier this month that the "asylum system is being abused."

And those who are convicted of illegal entry or reentry would be denied asylum if they were caught between legal ports of entry, asking for asylum, Vox reports. The proposed changes would be published in the Federal Register, giving the public 90 days to comment before it's enacted as a final regulation, Vox reports. (Read more)

- Father, we continue to pray for a solution to the immigration problem facing our country. In You alone are all the answers. May our government officials seek You with all their heart and mind and they will find You and all your wisdom.

- " . . . in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Col. 2:3)

6. Trump to meet with Putin next month in Helsinki, White House announces - Fox News

President Trump's upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in Helsinki, Finland on July 16, the White House announced Thursday. The White House announced that the two will discuss "relations between the United States and a range of national security issues" when they meet.

The meeting will take place as part of Trump's trip to Europe. Trump plans to meet with U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May on July 13, and is expected to attend a NATO summit in Brussels, Belgium on July 11-12. On Wednesday, National Security Adviser John Bolton held talks with Moscow officials for the summit. Also on Wednesday, Trump said they would discuss Syria and Ukraine, among other issues.

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is likely to meet with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo within the next two weeks as part of efforts to prepare for the summit. The Trump-Putin summit comes on the back of Trump's closely watched summit this month with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore, where the two discussed denuclearization and other related issues. Trump has repeatedly hailed that meeting as a success. (Read more)

- Father, we pray success and great wisdom over this European trip. We speak protection over President Trump and all those traveling with him. Guide and direct the discussions and give discernment while meeting with each European official.

- "I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king." (Daniel 2:23)

7. Pro-Hillary Judge Could Face Disbarment After Taking Sides - Conservative Fighters

A federal watchdog that investigates improper political activities by federal employees filed a formal complaint Wednesday against an immigration judge who it claims promoted former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's immigration policies from the bench.

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel alleges that Carmene "Zsa-Zsa" DePaolo, an immigration judge based in Southern California, violated the Hatch Act when she praised Clinton's immigration reform plans during a deportation hearing in March 2016. The Hatch Act is a little-enforced federal law that bars executive branch employees from using federal resources to promote political candidates, among other prohibitions.

"When a federal immigration judge in a public setting uses her position to advocate for partisan campaign outcomes, that's a real problem," he said in a statement Wednesday. "Judge DePaolo appears to be in clear violation of the Hatch Act and we believe she should face significant disciplinary action."

Kerner did not specify what punishment the Merit Systems Protection Board should mete out to DePaolo. Hatch Act violations can result in a wide range of penalties, including demotion, suspension and in the case of immigration judges, debarment. (Read more)

- Father, we pray this judge be held accountable for any wrongdoing. We pray that judges would uphold the law and not take sides with a political agenda.

- "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." (Luke 16:10)

8. Midterm turnout surges for both parties - The Hill

A surge in voter enthusiasm has prompted millions more Democrats to cast ballots in primary elections this year, a turnout explosion ahead of midterms in which motivation to vote is key to the party's chances of reclaiming control of the House. However, Republican voters also are showing up in higher numbers than in previous midterm cycles, a sign that the GOP's fate will be sealed not by apathetic conservatives who sit out Election Day, but by voters open to persuasion from both parties.

The Hill's analysis of primary elections held in 30 states so far, through Tuesday night's contests, shows voters in both parties are turning out in higher numbers than in either of the last two midterm elections. Voter turnout and targeting experts on both sides said this year's figures represent a clear boost in enthusiasm on the Democratic side over the 2014 midterm elections, when Republicans won control of the Senate and boosted their majority in the House.

"Democrats are clearly energized, and enjoying a larger enthusiasm gap than they've enjoyed since 2006," said Tom Bonier, a Democratic microtargeting expert who runs the firm TargetSmart. "That said, there's no evidence that Republicans are demoralized. They simply aren't seeing a surge in engagement as significant as the Democratic intensity."

Republicans have improved their margins most in states where the party litigated costly primary fights, driving up turnout among GOP voters eager to weigh in on their party's future direction. Republicans saw their biggest increase in turnout in Pennsylvania, where the party picked former state Sen. Scott Wagner (R) and Rep. Lou Barletta (R) to face Gov. Tom Wolf (D) and Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D), respectively.

"It's likely we'll see all recent records for midterm turnout broken," Bonier said. "Functionally, this also means that any poll that doesn't account for this heightened level of enthusiasm could miss the mark by a wide margin." (Read more)

- Father, we pray that Christians turn out in record numbers in these mid-term elections. The mid-terms are pivotal in continuing the momentum of the President's success.

- "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)

9. School District Violates Parental Rights - Liberty Counsel

Liberty Counsel has demanded that the East Penn School District immediately provide parents with the specific links to the four YouTube videos the district showed to more than 2,000 students at Emmaus High School on the school TV system. The district showed the videos, which promoted homosexuality, same-sex "marriage" and gender dysphoria, to the students as part of the district's "Unity Week" and promotion of GLSEN's "Day of Silence."

GLSEN is a political activist organization and the nation's largest homosexual advocacy group focused on promoting same-sex sexual activity and gender confusion to public school students as young as kindergarten. The Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is the student activism arm of GLSEN.

The school district denied parent requests for the video links, stating the videos "were pulled from YouTube and other online sources by the students in our GSA club and sent to the TV studio as part of their 'Day of Silence' project." The district's attorney advised "that these videos cannot be sent to [parents], because they are part of a student project," despite the district playing the videos for all students.

Parents are left to try to find the videos on their own based on descriptions of the video content provided by the school district, and descriptions of the video content as related by their children: Video 1 - Entitled "9 Questions Gay People Have About Straight People." Video 2 - A CBS News story clip promoting "gender fluidity." Video 3 - A compilation of clips promoting same-sex "marriage," including footage of people "coming out" as homosexual to their loved ones, clips of celebrities "coming out," clips from same-sex "weddings" and footage of legislative sessions discussing same-sex "marriage." Video 4 - Entitled "Show your pride. Share your love," described by children to their parents as encouraging them to embrace the homosexual lifestyle. (Read more)

- Father, this is so appalling. You told us that in the last days things would wax worse. We are certainly in the last days. We thank You that Your grace abounds over us. Your mercy hovers over us. We have the life and light of God within us wherever we go. We shine Your light in this dark world.

- "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

10. Fairfax County Implements Harmful Curriculum - Liberty Counsel

The Fairfax County School Board voted 10-1 this week for children to be taught, without parents' permission, that that their biological sex is meaningless and that they can transition to a different sex than the one "assigned" to them at birth.

The school board will now implement the Family Life Education Program (FLE) to become the most radical sex-ed curriculum in the country, despite a record-breaking number of objections from parents. According to a tally sheet published two days before the vote, the school board received 1,300 comments with 83 percent opposing the removal of "biological sex" to be replaced with "sex assigned at birth."

The board also voted to instruct every high school student, without their parents' permission, about the daily homosexual sex pill PrEP, recommended for the "very high risk" behavior of condom-less sex with multiple partners of unknown HIV status. PrEP has a 10 percent failure rate for preventing HIV infection and even AIDs Health organizations warn against it. Some of the content will be moved out of the FLE curriculum and into a general health curriculum called "Emotional and Social Health," making those lessons mandatory with no opt-out, regardless of parents' wishes. (Read more)

- Father, we intercede over the blatant brainwashing of our children. We cry mercy over this generation. May the righteous stand up and be heard. We are here for just a time as this.

- "For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father's house will perish (since you did not help when you had the chance). And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this (and for this very purpose)?" (Esther 4:14)

The Daily Jot

Friday, June 29, 2018

It's all about the children, yeah right!

There's been a lot of press lately about children being separated from their parents at the border. The lapdog leftist media has reported just about every regressive left comment about the jackboot tactics of the Trump Administration in separating children from their parents and putting these kids in cages like animals. Never mind, that this process was put in place to prevent the children from being profited on and exploited by human traffickers, drug cartels, and gangs. And, by the way, they are not put in cages like animals, but the leftist media never misses an opportunity to let truth get in the way of a story that creates an emotional crisis. Trouble is, and sadly so, these kids at the border are being used as political pawns.

Hillary Clinton's battle cry was that "it's all about the kids." Remember she said it takes a village to raise a child. Kelly Riddell, Washington Times columnist, reported in September 2016 that Clinton wrote part of a report for the Carnegie Council on Children that said "child raising in the Soviet Union was superior to that of the United States." Riddell reports that Clinton wrote that it has become necessary for society to "prevent parents from denying children certain privileges that society wants them to have." Among them, Clinton opined, were doctor consultations on pregnancy and drugs without parental consent, preventing schools from suspending disruptive students, and a government-appointed "public advocate." All this led to Clinton's platform on socialist healthcare, of course, "for the sake of the children."

Gun control is for the sake of the children, too. Separating children from parents who wish to home school them is also for the children. Teaching children a political and sexual agenda in public schools is for the children. Opening up children to determine what sex they want to be is also for the children. Whenever there is a political issue that can be related back to children, the children are used as political pawns, even better if the children are able to talk about it to the news media. If you can't win a political argument on its merits, throw in an angle about children and your chances skyrocket. But if it is so much about the welfare of the children, why are the actions of these very people strategically against children?

There is nothing that endangers children in this country more than abortion. The lives of some 60 million would-be citizens have been snuffed out since 1973 without a chance to grow up as a child. The very same people who decry separating children at the border (which by the way is a prevention measure to child sex trafficking, drug running, and gang indoctrination) are all too quick to passionately stand for the ultimate life-ending separation of a child from a mother's womb. They fight for public funding of this murderous disgrace through Planned Parenthood and label those who oppose them as misogynists. Psalms 127:3 says, "Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." If were about the children, these leftist wouldn't be rabid supporters of abortion. Hypocrites all.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Former Satanist says Christian prayers blocked him from committing
acts of evil

A former Satanist has attested to the power of Christian prayers, saying he was prevented from carrying out his evil plans when he encountered a group of intercessors during one of his missions.

John Ramirez says that he was raised in a family that was heavily into witchcraft and he had even been referred to by some friends as 'Lucifer's son' because of his participation in satanic rituals that involved animal sacrifice.

After becoming a high priest in a religion called Palo Mayombe, Ramirez soon met a girl who invited her to church and introduced him to her Christian parents.

Ramirez started attending the family's church and he eventually turned to Christ during a service. However, he came under numerous spiritual attacks shortly after renouncing witchcraft.

Despite the attacks, Ramirez held on to his faith and he now shares the Gospel with others. In his book 'Armed and Dangerous: The Ultimate Battle Plan for Targeting and Defeating the Enemy,' Ramirez shares some advice on how Christians can fight against evil through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ramirez said that he wrote the book so that it Christians can gain insight on how they can apply 'defense' and 'offense' strategies in spiritual warfare.

He explained that Satanism is more powerful when used against Christians who do not pray. He recalled a time when he encountered a group of believers who prayed against him when he was carrying out an assignment prior to his conversion.

'It is those believers, it's that group of people, those intercessors that gave me such a beatdown in the spiritual,' he told CBN News.

'When I came into the neighborhood and they were in the spirit together holding hands. Do I know they were physically holding hands in one area? I don't know, but in the spirit realm, they were holding hands. And, they were able to chase me out the neighborhood,' he added.

Ramirez said that he aborted his mission because of the power of the prayers of Christians. He is now encouraging Christians to expand the scope of their prayers, and pray for the schools, the neighborhood and the whole nation. (Christian Today) Read more

Bali volcano eruption halts some flights

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Several flights were canceled or rescheduled on Thursday when a volcano erupted on the Indonesian holiday island of Bali, sending a column of ash and smoke at least 2 km into the air, officials said.

Bali airport was operating normally, but some airlines said they had canceled flights to and from the island known for its beaches and temples.

"The eruption of Mount Agung today has impacted several of our flights to and from Bali," budget carrier AirAsia said in a statement, adding at least 27 flights had been canceled or rescheduled.

Mount Aging, an active volcano in northeastern Bali, has been puffing since late last year. In December, minor explosive eruptions closed the airport.

Jetstar and Virgin Australia also canceled flights, according to media. Hundreds of passengers were expected to be affected. Airlines avoid flying through volcanic ash as it can damage aircraft engines, clog fuel and cooling systems and hamper visibility.

The Reason This Christian Archaeologist in Israel Is Using the Bible as a Guide for Digging

Dr. Scott Stripling, provost at The Bible Seminary in Katy (Houston) Texas, has been sifting the sands of Israel for over 20 years. Using the Bible as a guidebook he is now digging in Shiloh, which he surmises may be the true site of the Tabernacle. However, some of his fiercest critics are Israeli archaeologists who claim the Bible cannot be relied upon to tell historical truth.

Dr. Stripling returned home Tuesday after 50 days of excavations at Shiloh. Stripling serves as the archaeological director for the Associates for Biblical Research (ABR), a Christian organization that brings together Biblical research and archaeology to mutually advance both disciplines.

After 20 years at Khirbet el-Maqatir, Stripling moved his team ten miles north to Shiloh last year. In addition to its significant archaeological relevance, Shiloh is important for being mentioned in the Bible as being the site of the Jewish Tabernacle for 369 years. Or so Stripling believes, though not all archaeologists agree with him.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
