Focus on Israel

1. Kushner heads to Brussels to brief EU officials on peace plan - Times of Israel

US President Donald Trump's son-in-law and Middle East peace adviser Jared Kushner will hold talks with European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels on Tuesday, and is expected to give a briefing on details of the US peace plan.

Kushner is also expected to meet with European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

Kushner will travel to Brussels from London, where his father-in-law is making a state visit, and the trip comes with international hopes for a US peace plan for the Middle East running low.

2. Syria: Iran is not leaving, despite U.S. and Israeli pressure - Jerusalem Post

A Syrian official told Russian media that there are no plans for Iran to reduce its troop levels in the country, even if the US and Israel seek to offer Russia a deal.

Speaking to Izvestia and later reported in Russia's TASS news agency, the report seeks to downplay rumors that an upcoming US, Israel and Russia trilateral meeting in Israel would examine Iran's presence in Syria.

Last week, the US and Israel said there would be a trilateral meeting with Russia this month. Reports emerged that there were discussions about a possible Trump administration suggestion that the US could accept the Assad regime in exchange for a reduction of Iranian forces and influence in Syria.

Asharq Al-Awsat reported the rumors Monday, but a US official told The National in Abu Dhabi that Washington flatly denied the report.

The US officially opposes the Bashar Assad regime and US President Donald Trump has launched airstrikes against the regime and harshly criticized it for human rights violations, including recent bombing in Idlib.

3. Pompeo: Protection of Israeli Security Interests 'Prerequisite' to Any Peace Deal With Palestinians - algemeiner.com

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appeared to endorse one of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's primary demands in regard to peace negotiations with the Palestinians, saying Israel's security interests must be taken into account in any potential deal.

Pompeo made the comments during an interview with David Harris, CEO of the American Jewish Committee, that was shown on Tuesday at the annual AJC Global Forum in Washington, DC.

Speaking about the diplomatic process and the Trump administration's yet-to-be-unveiled Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, Pompeo said, "It is unimaginable that any arrangement will be agreed to by the Israelis absent them protecting their own natural security interests. That's a prerequisite."

4. Massachusetts pro-Israel groups condemn state Democratic lawmakers for joint CAIR event - JNS.org

A number of Massachusetts Jewish and pro-Israel groups are condemning several Democratic state lawmakers for participating in an Eid al-Fitr event at the Massachusetts State House being co-hosted by the Massachusetts branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has a long history of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiment.

In response to an inquiry from JNS regarding the event, Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC) executive director Jeremy Burton responded:

"We welcome the efforts and intentions of our political leadership to honor and support our Muslim neighbors through events such as an Eid celebration. On the specific partner you have asked about, JCRC has discussed this over the years internally, with our local and national member organizations, and with our interfaith partners. Based on our understanding of unresolved questions about this organization, we consider CAIR to be an inappropriate partner for ourselves and for the mainstream community," he told JNS.

"We believe that our commonwealth is stronger when faith communities and elected leaders come together and stand with each other in public civic space. It is unfortunate that, in these times of urgent and necessary solidarity across communities, inappropriate actors are being unnecessarily mainstreamed."

5. 23 couples 'tie the knot' at staged mass wedding to advocate for gay rights- Times of Israel

Hundreds of Israelis participated in a mass wedding Tuesday in Tel Aviv to demand the right to same-sex marriage ahead of the country's Gay Pride week.

The event involved an unofficial wedding ceremony for 23 gay couples, who walked down the aisle, took vows and danced at a banquet, cheered by friends, family and supporters.

The annual Tel Aviv pride parade, set for June 14, draws flocks of foreign visitors to the city, which flaunts itself as one of the world's most gay-friendly tourist destinations. (Read more)
- Oh, Lord, God . . . we dry out for your hand of mercy to be shown over Israel, in the midst of this abomination. Father, forgive them, and teach them Your truth and law, in Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

6. Bernie Sanders willing to move embassy out of Jerusalem for peaceJerusalem Post

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders expressed his willingness to move the US Embassy from Jerusalem back to Tel Aviv if it would help bring peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians, during an NBC interview this week.

Sanders defined himself as "100% pro Israel" but said that he would approach the Israeli-Palestinian conflict differently than past administrations.

"In other words, the goal is to try to unite people and not just support one country, which is now run by a right-wing, dare I say, racist government," he said. "Israel has every right in the world to exist . . . in peace and security, and not be subjected to terrorist attacks. But the United States needs to deal with the Palestinian [people] as well and not just Israel."

1. German intel: Iran buying illegal technology for weapons of mass destruction - Jerusalem Post

The Islamic Republic of Iran is involved in the illicit procurement of technology for weapons of mass destruction, the German intelligence agency for the northern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern wrote in its May report.

In the 206-page report, that was reviewed by The Jerusalem Post, the intelligence agents wrote: "The fight against the illegal proliferation of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons of mass destruction and the materials needed for their manufacture, as well as the corresponding delivery systems [e.g. rockets], including the necessary knowledge, in cooperation with other authorities, is also the responsibility of counterintelligence."

The intelligence report continued, "From these points of view, it is essentially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea [North Korea] and the Syrian Arab Republic that need to be mentioned. The intelligence services of these countries, in many ways, are involved in unlawful procurement activities in the field of proliferation, using globally oriented, conspiratorial business and commercial structures." (Read more)

- Precious Lord, we thank You that the revealing of these violations of nuclear and chemical proliferation has been published and we pray that the regimes responsible will be held accountable. Lord, send angels to interrupt the plans of evil men who are a danger to the rest of the world and badly need redemption.

"For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out." (Proverbs 24:20)

2. President Trump discusses trade with outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May - OANN.com

President Trump is urging outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May to "stick around" for a trade deal. The president made the comments Tuesday at a business roundtable at St. James Palace before the two leaders met privately to further discuss trade and security. President Trump expressed appreciation for the relationship he's had with the United Kingdom, and said he's hoping to strengthen that bond. The U.S. and Britain are working to strike a bilateral trade agreement, and the President said the deal would be very fair.

"It's an honor to have worked with you and I don't know exactly what your timing is, but stick around, let's do this deal," President Trump told the outgoing prime minister. "Thank you very much, thank you very much." The president's comments come after he posted a tweet Monday, saying a big trade deal is possible once the U.K. gets rid of its "EU shackles." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for strong relationship's with the U.K. We pray the trade deal President Trump is referring to will be prosperous for both countries. We pray You silence the tongues of those in the U.K. who are vehemently critical of the President. Give the many critics ears to hear, and eyes to see the good, versus continuing their hate and refusal to hear the President.

'And happy are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear,(Matthew 13:16)

3. Trump: Mexico Tariffs 'Will Take Effect Next Week' - CNSNews.com

The threat of tariffs on Mexico "is out there," President Donald Trump said Tuesday, and he expects the first round to take effect next week. He said negotiations to avoid the tariffs "haven't really started yet. This will take effect next week, at 5 percent," Trump told a news conference in London.

Trump dismissed reports that congressional Republicans may block the tariffs: "No, I don't think they will do that. I think if they do, it's foolish. There's nothing more important than borders. I've had tremendous Republican support. I have a 94 percent approval rating as of this morning in the Republican Party. That's an all-time record. Can you believe that? Isn't that something? I love records," Trump said.

. . . And as you know, Mexico called. They want to meet. They're going to meet on Wednesday. Secretary Pompeo is going to be at the meeting along with a few others that are very good at this, and we are going to see if we can do something. But I think it's more likely that the tariffs go on. And we'll probably be talking during the time that the tariffs are on, and they're going to be paid.(Read more)

- Dear Lord, we pray that You would give wisdom to our President as he brings about change to this situation that has troubled our country for a long time. We pray that this plan to initiate and then increase tariffs will bring greater security for our country and fairness for those who are legal immigrants.

"A wise king sifts out the wicked, and brings the threshing wheel over them."(Proverbs 20:26)

4. Judge rejects House Democrats' attempt to block border wall - CNN

A federal judge in Washington on Monday denied a request by House Democrats to block President Donald Trump from transferring funds from appropriated accounts to construct his wall, a setback for Democrats seeking to use the judicial system to fight the White House.

Judge Trevor McFadden said the House lacks standing to bring the challenge and also he does not believe the court should step into the fight between the President and Congress.

"The Court declines to take sides in this fight between the House and the President," McFadden wrote. "This case presents a close question about the appropriate role of the Judiciary in resolving disputes between the other two branches of the Federal Government. To be clear, the court does not imply that Congress may never sue the Executive to protect its powers," he added. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You that this judge upheld the separation of powers embedded in the Constitution and rejected using judicial rulings to forward a liberal political agenda. We pray for more just judgments as various political maneuvers are attempted.

- "You shall follow that which is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you." (Deuteronomy 16:20)

5. Surge Of Bangladeshi Migrants With Bogus Passports Causing US To Rely On Dental Exams - Daily Caller

An influx of Bangladeshi and other illegal migrants carrying fake identification is forcing U.S. officials to rely on dental examinations to determine their ages. As the number of Bangladeshi migrants reaching the U.S. border has increased, so has the number of documented fraud cases.

Over 150 Bangladeshis identifying as minors and determined to be adults were transferred into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody between October and March 8. A number of Bangladeshis in ICE custody and claiming to be minors were found to have passports and birth certificates with contradictory information, including their birth dates.

. . . Under the standard set out by the U.S. government, if a dental exam analysis determines an individual to have at least a 75% probability of being 18 or older, they are transferred to adult custody. While federal law forbids officials from relying exclusively on bone and teeth exams, a review of court documents by The LA Times found that, in at least three cases, immigration officials relied exclusively on radiographs to determine migrants' ages. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for our officials having this overload of Bangladeshi migrants that are carrying fake documentation. Give strength, wisdom, and Your ability to handle this overload of migrants. Protect our country from this surge of migrants that are affecting our states from handling the many illegals that are flooding in. We search Your Spirit for the answer to this ever increasing problem.

"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" (Psalm 46:10)

6. Sen. Graham: Expect a Vote on Asylum/UAC Bill in Two Weeks - CNSNews.com

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, says he supports President Trump's attempt to force Mexico to stop Central Americans from pouring into the United States. "President Trump is right to do whatever is necessary to stop the disaster at the border," Graham told Fox News's Sean Hannity Monday night. "It's not a crisis. It's a complete disaster. And Mexico can do better. They should do better. And I support the president in any way possible to get Mexico to do better, and I'm going to have a vote on my bill to close the asylum loophole and the unaccompanied minors in two weeks."

As CNSNews.com previously reported, Graham's bill, The Secure and Protect Act of 2019, would require Central Americans seeking asylum to apply at the U.S. embassy or consulate in their home country or at refugee processing centers within Mexico. The bill also would allow U.S. authorities to send unaccompanied minors from Central American back to their home country, the same way Mexicans are treated. It also extends the amount of time that illegal immigrant families with minor children are detained to 100 days. And it allow for the hiring of 500 new immigration judges to reduce the backlog of asylum cases. (Read more)
- Father, thank You that measures are being taken to decrease illegal immigration. We pray Mexico will work alongside us to help in our time of need. We pray for passage of Senator Graham's bill, in Jesus name.

He delivereth me from mine enemies: Yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: Thou hast delivered me from the violent man. (Psalm 18:48)

7. Tiananmen Square: Pompeo Demands Accountability - Gary Bauer

On the 30th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, the Trump Administration, through Secretary of State Mike Pomepo, issued an extraordinarily powerful statement condemning the communist Chinese regime and demanding accountability for the atrocities it committed. Below are some excerpts of Pompeo's statement. (Go here)
- Father God, we thank You that You have given us a Secretary of State who is not afraid to call the nation of China to account for these atrocities, 30 years ago. An act of apology is still in order; we ask that You soften the hearts of the authorities of China to do this, and to back off on its persecution of the church in their land. In Your Name, amen.

"Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

8. 30 Years After China Crushed Tiananmen Square Protests, UN Silent - CNSNews.com

As millions of people around the world remember communist China's violent crackdown on pro-democracy protests in Beijing's Tiananmen Square 30 years ago, the United Nations is silent.

Neither U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres nor high commissioner for human rights Michelle Bachelet has issued a statement marking the anniversary of the massacre, when unknown hundreds or possibly thousands were killed when the People's Liberation Army to end weeks of protests by students and workers demanding democratic reforms.

As of early Tuesday morning, Twitter accounts for Guterres, Bachelet, their respective offices in New York and Geneva, and the Human Rights Council (HCR) secretariat made no mention of Tiananmen Square. Likewise the U.N. News Center's website and Twitter account were silent on Tiananmen Square, although both did carry a story on the use of bicycles in China, to mark the U.N.'s World Bicycle Day on Monday. (Read more)
- Father, we pray that attention would be brought to this horrific event 30 years ago in Tiananmen Square. We pray for China and their people to be delivered from dictatorship. We also offer up prayer on the trade war with China. We continue to ask wisdom for President Trump on these decisions.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. (Psalm 33:12)

9. Palestinian-American Linda Sarsour Irked by New Bipartisan Black-Jewish Caucus - CNSNews.com

Three U.S. lawmakers on Monday announced the establishment of a bipartisan Congressional Black-Jewish Caucus, and immediately drew a backlash from Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour. The Women's March co-leader took issue with the fact that one of the three is Rep. Lee Zeldin, a Jewish Republican from New York, who has been a leading critic of Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) Sarsour is a vocal supporter of Omar and Tlaib, and all three have stoked controversy with comments about Israel and Jews.

Sarsour also has problems with another of the three lawmakers, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), a Jewish member who earlier this year split with the Women's March over concerns about anti-Semitism in the leadership. Zeldin, Wasserman Schultz and Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-Mich.) took to the platform at the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Global Forum in Washington on Monday to announce the formation of the new caucus. Lawrence was credited with envisioning the initiative, and the other founding members were named as Reps. John Lewis (D-Ga.) and Will Hurd (R-Texas.)

Then, responding to a Zeldin tweet highlighting the formation of the caucus, Sarsour said - in reference to Omar and Tlaib - "Meanwhile, you target and attack the Black Muslim Congresswoman & Palestinian Muslim Congresswoman putting their lives in danger." That drew a sharp response from Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) national spokesman Neil Boylan Strauss, who tweeted back at her, "You, [Omar] and [Tlaib] traffic in some of the most vile anti-Semitism. Threats of violence are absolutely unacceptable. No exceptions. Do not, however, blame [Zeldin] for shining light on the racist, anti-Jewish filth you spew." (Read more)
- Father, we pray You shut the mouth of Linda Sarsour. Do not allow her to speak her hatred. Cut off all her support and whatever she says falls on deaf ears.

The mouth of the godly person gives wise advice, but the tongue that deceives will be cut off. (Proverbs 10:31)

10. Bronx Community Board Members Come Forward To Affirm Military Vets Walked Out Of Ocasio-Cortez Meeting - Daily Caller

Two attendees of the Bronx Community Board 11 meeting, including the board's chairman and district manager, say that military veterans Silvio Mazzella and Anthony Vitaliano walked out of a private meeting with Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Ocasio-Cortez reportedly held a closed-door meeting with her constituency in the Bronx Wednesday, when two military veterans allegedly walked out on account of the congresswoman's anti-American rhetoric.

Bronx Community Board 11 Chairmen Albert D'Angelo, who attended the private event, told The Daily Caller News Foundation that he saw Army veterans Mazzella, 74, and Vitaliano, 78, leave during the meeting with Ocasio-Cortez. "First Tony left quietly. Shortly after, Silvio left," he recounted.

Mazzela, treasurer of Community Board 11, told the New York Post that he left the meeting because, "She knocks the country, she knocks the president. And that's not what America is about." Vitaliano, who worked for the NYPD for nearly 40 years, told the New York Post, "I just couldn't hear her BS anymore. I just got up, got my umbrella in my hand and walked right out." (Read more)

- Father, thank you for the boldness of these two men who walked out of this meeting. We pray that more will follow in their footsteps by sending a message that they will not hear any Representative who will bash our country and the President!

- Remain alert. Keep standing firm in your faith. Keep on being courageous and strong.(1 Corinthians 16:13)

Principalities of darkness within human flesh

All the talk about Russian collusion and whether President Donald Trump was in cahoots with the Russians to win the 2016 Presidential election is a ploy in so many ways. There were communists in key positions of the so-called investigation of Trump's ties with Russia who were trying to overturn an election. Hillary Clinton is no saint. We know her immoral and unethical doings, but perhaps we need to closely look at the attempt by the deep state community to use willing Russian agents to destabilize the election and the US government to keep control of the White House--a non-military coup aimed at maintaining a power that is foreign to the voting public. This is not a conspiracy theory

Three key players in the Russian Influence con were (former) FBI Director James Comey, (former) CIA Director John Brennan, and (former) National Intelligence Director James Clapper. They are all master manipulators, deep state intel veterans. Comey, Brennan, and Clapper were appointed by Barack Obama. All three also were connected to the George W Bush Administrations in various ways. Recall that after the 2016 election, the New York Post reported that the outgoing president was establishing a shadow government to maintain power through a series of nonprofits, government insiders and appointed judges in the court system. Most know that these three actors were intimately involved in trying to take down the newly-elected president. What you may not have known is a shocking revelation of these perilous times.
Washington Times columnist Robert Knight and author Diana West have revealed a legitimate communist concern surrounding these men. Knight reports that West, in her book "The Red Thread," documents that Brennan and Comey were communists. West documents Brennan's September 16, 2016 "admission of voting for the Communist Party USA ticket in 1976" during testimony before the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Knight reports that Comey admitted identifying as a Communist when he was a young man, and "still reveres Marxist theologian Reinhold Niebuhr as his spiritual lodestar." Clapper told the House Intelligence Committee in 2011 that the terrorist-sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood was "secular" and that it had no "overarching agenda."
The Clinton-Bush-Obama one-world-order machinations materially changed the gears of government and instituted a deep state system counter to majority rule. This system uses various means and actors to cause strife, contention, and awe to disrupt the will of the electorate. It is the deepest, darkest evil of what is now known as the "swamp." Habakkuk 1:4 says that because strife exists and contention arises, "Therefore the law is slacked, and justice does never go forth: for the wicked does surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds." These godless coup-makers and their minions are in a death struggle to impose their will. Any who threaten it will suffer consequences. Be mindful that Christianity is an ultimate threat because it is the antithesis of the control and bondage these usurpers wish to oversee.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

"I'LL PRAISE HIM WHILE I LIVE"

"Because He first loved us." ( John 4:19)

Lyrics

No other name but Jesus,
Before the throne I plead;
No other friend but Jesus,
For me can intercede.

Refrain

I'll praise Him while I live;
My daily song shall be,
I love my blessèd Savior,
Because He first loved me.

No ear like that of Jesus
Can hear me when I pray;
No hand like that of Jesus,
Can smooth life's devious way.

No words like those of Jesus
Can give me joy and rest;
No love like that of Jesus
Can make me truly blest.

Refrain

Forever and forever,
While all the ages roll,
His name shall be my watchword,
His glory fill my soul.

Signs and Wonders

It's June and Colorado's snowpack is 437% of normal:

What that means for flood season

DENVER - The calendar turned to June on Saturday and our statewide snowpack was 437% of normal, with highs peaking at 768% in the San Juan Mountains, according to the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The heavy snowfall this year has been a good thing for skiing (with Arapahoe Basin still open) and the drought conditions - all of Colorado was drought-free as of this week.

But heading into summer, the snowpack is likely to result in some flooding, according to the Colorado Water Conservation Board, which released a report this week on the outlook for snowmelt flood conditions.

The Good News Corner:

One of the Oldest Christian Churches on the Planet Discovered in Egypt, Believe Researchers

While working on the ruins of an ancient basilica, research teams discovered the ruins of an even older structure, which is likely to "offer new insights into the growth of early Christianity in Egypt and elsewhere in the Mediterranean," according to Ancient Origins.

The incredible discovery was made by a team of Polish archaeologists, led by Dr. Krzysztof Babraj, from Kraków's Museum of Archaeology. The group was involved in a dig at the ancient port of Marea, near the city of Alexandria, when they happened upon the incredible church.

According to the lead researcher, it was while they were working underneath the floor of the ancient basilica when they encountered the stunning sight. "Towards the end of the last research season under the basilica, we came across remains in the form of walls," Babraj explained, according to the Express. "It turned out, they were the outer walls of an even older church."

The additional place of worship confirms that the latter Basilica was built as a replacement when the original structure was destroyed by an earthquake that devastated Marea in the 8th century AD.

The shape of the original church's walls indicate that it was built in the shape of a cross - a common theme for many of the places of worship at the time. Inside, the team came across fragments of ceramic pots and glass.

The original church is thought to date as far back as the 4th century AD. "It is, therefore, one of the oldest Christian temples found in Egyptian territories, today," Babraj added.
The researchers are eager to discover more about the early Christian communities that sprung up in Egypt, and hope that discoveries like this will help them develop a clearer timeline for the emergency of Christianity in this now Muslim-majority nation.

"Our discovery is also important because we basically don't know any remnants of churches from the neighbouring metropolis, Alexandria," Babraj explained.

"Now we know how they could look, which is why it is so important to continue our research that we have just begun in the old church."
