1. Top Israeli officials welcome Germany's branding of BDS as 'anti-Semitic' - World Israel News
Top Israeli officials welcomed the German parliament's condemnation on Friday of the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement as "anti-Semitic."
The non-binding motion - submitted by Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives, their Social Democrat coalition partners, as well as the Greens and Free Democrats - read, "The argumentation patterns and methods used by the BDS movement are anti-Semitic."
"The campaign's calls to boycott Israeli artists, as well as stickers on Israeli goods that are meant to deter people from buying them, also recall the most terrible phase in German history," it continued. "The BDS movement's 'Don't Buy' stickers on Israeli products inevitably arouse associations with the Nazi slogan, 'Don't Buy from Jews!' and similar graffiti on facades and shop windows."

2. Syria accuses Israel of airstrikes near Damascus - World Israel News
State news agency SANA quoted an unnamed military official as saying that Syrian air defenses discovered "hostile targets" coming from the direction of the Quenitra region on the edge of the Israeli side of the Golan Heights.
The news agency said Syrian air defenses shot down several "objects."
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, reported three explosions southwest of Damascus. It added that it was not immediately clear if the explosions were caused by Israeli airstrikes or surface-to-surface missiles.
The Observatory's chief, Rami Abdurrahman, told The Associated Press that the strikes targeted the area of Kiswa, which is home to positions and storage sites for Iranian and Lebanon's Hezbollah forces allied with Syria's government.

3. Likud says immunity for Netanyahu won't be a part of coalition deals - Times of Israel
New laws to grant Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immunity from prosecution will not be a part of agreements his Likud party is discussing with other parties to join the next government, a spokesman for the premier said Friday.
"I confirm on behalf of the prime minister that the issue of immunity will not be a part of the coalition agreements," the spokesman said.
However, analysts said Netanyahu was likely to push ahead with some kind of legislation, noting that he had the support of his potential coalition partners even if it is not part of the signed deal.

4. Ahead of peace plan, Israeli and Palestinian leaders meet in Hebron over kosher Iftar meal - JNS
(May 17, 2019 / JNS) In the context of the Trump administration's plan to roll out a Middle East peace proposal after the end of Ramadan on June 4, businessman and aspiring politician Sheikh Ashraf Al Jabari has sent a clear message: Palestinian and Israeli business leaders are ready to cooperate towards a shared economic future.
As is traditional after dusk on Ramadan, a group gathered at the Iftar table, breaking the fast over a festive meal. However, the people gathered around the table were anything but traditional for a Palestinian Iftar meal.
Jabari, who is from a prominent Hebron clan, opened his home in the contentious West Bank city to Jewish and Arab Israeli business leaders, as well as Palestinians, for a kosher Iftar feast catered from the nearby settlement Kiryat Arba.
The meal raised eyebrows among Palestinians, who criticized Jabari for hosting and working with settlers. The event was organized and sponsored by the Judea and Samaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a joint Israeli-Palestinian group co-founded by Jabari that aims to strengthen economic cooperation between Palestinians and Jews in the West Bank.

5. Netanyahu: Coalition Demands Need To Come Back To Reality- Jerusalem Post
Potential coalition partners are making outlandish demands and need to be more realistic, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lamented in Sunday's cabinet meeting.
"I hope that we will find a way, as soon as possible, to bring them back to reality so that we can form a strong and stable government for the State of Israel that will continue to lead the country to new heights," he said.
The prime minister's remarks came as the cabinet voted to cancel the limitation on the number of ministers in a government, which would make it easier to reach coalition agreements.
Negotiations have been at an impasse for the past week, and no progress was made as of Sunday night. The final deadline for Netanyahu to form a government is May 28.

1. Barr: 'We Should Be Worried About Whether Government Officials Abused Their Power' - CNS News
Attorney General Bill Barr has ordered a federal prosecutor to look into the origins of the FBI's Trump-Russia investigation, and Barr told Fox News on Thursday he did it because he wasn't getting adequate answers to his questions and because no one had really looked into it saying, "We should be worried about whether government officials abused their power."
"The fact of the matter is, Bob Mueller did not look at the government's activities. He was looking at whether or not the Trump campaign had conspired with the Russians. But he was not going back and looking at the counter intelligence program."
"I think people have to find out what the government was doing during that period. If we're worried about foreign influence, for the very same reason we should be worried about whether government officials abused their power and put their thumb on the scale. And so I'm not saying that happened, but I'm saying we have to look at that." (Read more)
-Father, we pray that by Your direction things will be set in place to reveal the origins of the FBI's Trump-Russia investigation and ferret out whether government officials abused their power. Expose everyone who has contributed erroneous information in an attempt to cause warfare for President Trump. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
-"God shall hide him in the secret of Your presence, from the pride of man: God shall keep him secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues." (Psalm 31:20)
2. Trump unveils plan to 'transform' America's immigration system, focus on high-skilled workers - FoxNews
President Trump on Thursday unveiled a long-awaited immigration overhaul that would dramatically alter how the U.S. accepts people into the country, upending the system in order to favor admissions based on merit rather than family ties. "If adopted, our plan will transform America's immigration system into the pride of our nation and the envy of the modern world," Trump said from the Rose Garden.
The proposal would judge immigrants with a points-based system that would favor high-skilled workers -- accounting for age, English proficiency, education and whether the applicant has a well-paying job offer.
Currently, only about 12 percent of immigrants are admitted based on employment and skills, while 66 percent are admitted based on family connections inside the U.S. Administration officials estimate that those numbers would flip to 57 and 33 percent, respectively, under the Trump plan. "We discriminate against genius," Trump said of current policies. "We discriminate against brilliance. We won't anymore once we get this passed." (Read more)
-O righteous Father, we ask that You will push President Trump's new immigration program into law, and it be raised up as a genius program without error, and is passed and accepted speedily. In the Name of Jesus we trust and believe.
-"I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions." (Proverbs 8:12)
3. Trump Plans To Invoke Insurrection Act To Boot Illegal Immigrants -
Daily Caller
President Donald Trump is planning on using the Insurrection Act to remove illegal immigrants from the United States, The Daily Caller has learned. Under the Insurrection Act of 1807, the president has the authority to use the National Guard and military in order to combat "unlawful obstruction or rebellion" within U.S. borders.
An official expressed concerns that Trump's use of the act's powers would face legal challenges, pointing to the lawsuits against the president's travel ban from majority-Muslim countries. However, as the official noted, the travel ban ultimately prevailed in the Supreme Court.
In addition to the Insurrection Act, the president is also considering declaring the country full and insisting that the U.S. can no longer handle the massive influx of illegal immigrants. "Our hospitals are full, our detention centers are full," they added.
-Almighty God, we trust the high powers of heaven and of our God to encapsulate this Insurrection Act with the protection of the Lord. We pray the perfect will of Jesus stands against any and all legal challenges and lawsuits regarding the travel ban from Muslim countries. Guide President Trump to declare the United States unable to handle the massive influx of illegal immigrants. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
-"The words of wise men are heard in quiet are more than the cry of him that rules among fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war." (Ecclesiastes 9:17-18)
4. Trump Admin Notifies 500,000+ Employers They Have Workers With Bogus Social Security Numbers - Gateway Pundit
The Trump administration has notified more than 500,000 employers that some of their employees' names do not match their reported Social Security numbers in a new move to crack down on illegal aliens. Since March, the Social Security Administration has mailed out "no-match letters" to more than 570,000 employers, telling them of the mismatched information on their employers.
"The notices do not necessarily require employers to take action, but direct them to take steps to reconcile mismatches, which would require contacting the workers. Undocumented workers who are notified of the letters by their employers often choose to quickly resign, fearing scrutiny from federal immigration authorities. But employers who do nothing could also face enforcement actions," the New York Times reports.
In 2016, there were nearly 8 million illegal aliens in the U.S. labor force, the Pew Research Center reported. But in 2012, during Barack Obama's time in the White House, the government officially stopped sending out "no-match letters." (Read more)
-Almighty God, we trust You will guide the President regarding the proper action to take with the 500,000 workers with bogus Social Security Numbers. Strengthen him with holy intelligence in dealing with this situation and engage the federal immigration authorities. Restore peace, Lord. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
-"Knowing this, that the law is not made for the righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and the profane." ( I Timothy 1:9)
5. ICE to hire contractor to transport 225,000 migrants to shelters across the US - FoxNews
The Trump administration is looking to hire a private contractor that will be responsible for transporting approximately 225,000 migrant children and families to shelters across the country over the next five years as they wait for their asylum claims to be processed.
ICE (the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency) is seeking the services of a "highly responsible" contractor that "fully embraces the philosophy" of treating all unaccompanied minors (UACs) and family units (FAMUs) with "dignity and respect," according to a federal procurement document dated May 13.
The private company will be hired to transport approximately 60,000 people a year. It will work to arrange commercial flights and ground transportation for migrant children up to age 17 as well as adults with children and will provide food, clothing and hygiene products during transit. (Read more)
-Almighty God we pray that President Trump will be given great wisdom in taking the necessary steps to transport the 225,000 migrant children and families to proper shelters and making all the necessary arrangements. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
-"For it is sanctified by the Word of God and with prayer." ( I Timothy 4:5)
6. Appeals court rules Trump end of DACA was unlawful - The Hill
A split federal appeals court on Friday ruled that President Trump's decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was unlawful because "it was not adequately explained." The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Virginia found that the administration's termination of the program was "arbitrary and capricious," in line with a prior ruling from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
The bulk of the ruling rests on how the administration laid out its decision to rescind the DACA program. The judges wrote in the majority opinion that then-Acting Homeland Security Secretary Elaine Duke "rescinded a general enforcement policy in existence for over five years and affecting hundreds of thousands of enrollees based on the view that the policy was unlawful."
The judges also reversed a lower court ruling about blocking information on DACA applicants from being shared for immigration enforcement purposes. (Read more)
-Father in heaven, we pray for President Trump's protection and that You will see him through to victory regarding this situation. We ask this in the Name of Jesus.
-"Meditate upon these things: give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all." (I Timothy 4:15)
7. Taming the Bench: MAGA Means Ending Judicial Precedent - American Thinker
Stare decisis is just a euphemistic way of saying that judges' decisions -- "precedent" -- should take precedence over the Constitution. This perverts our system. It undermines the republic. We're supposed to be a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. The Constitution reflects the people's will in that they can amend it through their representatives.
Yet when judges place their own opinions above the Constitution, such as when elevating precedent, they establish themselves as an oligarchy. We then don't have the rule of law but the rule of lawyers, a government of, by and for those who've arrogated to themselves the power and privilege to manipulate the law according to their own will.
One justice who apparently understands this is Clarence Thomas, who just wrote the majority opinion in a recent decision (Franchise Tax Board of California v. Hyatt) overturning a 1979 precedent. Justice Stephen Breyer's reaction to the recently overturned precedent, "Today's decision can only cause one to wonder which cases the court will overrule next," he complained. A good justice would be concerned only with what unconstitutional precedent would not be overturned next. (Read more)
-Almighty God, we trust You to block any and all actions that would take precedence over the Constitution. Bind this effort by the power of God and render them unsuccessful and unlawful. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
-"Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, shall cut off the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature, shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled." (Isaiah 10:38)
8. Western Caucus Efforts Pay Off: DOI Renews Mineral Leases Obama Killed - Breitbart
In June 2017, Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Tom Emmer (R-MN), and Bruce Westerman (R-AR) toured several mining operations, held a roundtable discussion, and visited the proposed federal withdrawal area. The lawmakers said the comments that they heard on the ground from American families, businesses, and individuals included wanting the federal government to support mining projects that create good-paying jobs.
On November 30, 2017, the House passed H.R. 3905, the Minnesota's Economic Rights in the Superior National Forest Act, which Emmer introduced and which was co-sponsored by numerous members of the Western Caucus. "In northern Minnesota, mining is our past, our present, and our future," Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MN) said of the leases being reinstated. "With 21st-century technology, we can responsibly develop the resources needed for the modern world and unleash the economic engine of northeastern Minnesota."
Gosar emphasized the benefits the reinstatement serves to local Minnesotans, saying, "Thanks to the Trump administration, tens of thousands of hard-working Americans in Northern Minnesota that were negatively impacted by the previous Administration's political anti-mining actions, are one step closer to employment and economic prosperity as a result of today's action by the Department of the Interior." (Read more)
-Father, we pray in the Name of Jesus that You will protect and further the mining in Minnesota and bring it under the guidance of a "Thus says the Lord," action.
-"For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endures to all generations." (Psalm 100:5)
9. Trump Opposes LGBT Equality Act - It's 'Filled with Poison Pills' -
Christian Headlines
The Trump administration has come out against the Equality Act, which could face a floor vote Friday and would add sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes in non-discrimination laws. Religious liberty and conservative groups warn the bill, if passed and signed into law, could have devastating effects on women's rights and religious freedom.
"The Trump administration absolutely opposes discrimination of any kind and supports the equal treatment of all; however, this bill in its current form is filled with poison pills that threaten to undermine parental and conscience rights," a senior administration official told the Washington Blade and several other media outlets.
"[W]hile it may sound nice to some ears, this bill actually poses a devastating and unprecedented threat to religious freedom and the progress that women have made toward true equal treatment in law and culture," Sarah Kramer of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) wrote in an online analysis. It would "threaten individuals, business owners, and non-profit organizations" by "forcing them to express messages or promote events that violate their deeply held religious convictions," Kramer wrote. (Read more)
-Almighty God in heaven, we pray that You will step into this matter and cut off and sever any positive action regarding the LGBT Equality Act. Bury it in the Blood of Jesus and record it as dead and defeated as an act of Almighty God.
-"I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord." ( Psalm 101:8)
10. Kurdistan region worried as U.S. and Iran tensions grow - Jerusalem Post
The United States ordered its non-emergency government employees to leave its Baghdad embassy and the consulate in Erbil on Wednesday. Erbil is the capital of the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), and locals are concerned that US-Iran tensions will now engulf the Kurdish region at a sensitive time.
The Kurdistan region is strategically important and has been a center of security in the area between the Iraqi central government, Turkey and Iran. The Kurdistan region of Iraq has long been the safest area of the country. Many Iraqis have made their home there to flee sectarian tensions elsewhere. Minority Christians and Yazidis also fled ISIS to the Kurdistan region.
Its main trade links are through Turkey, but also to Iran. It has its own oil exports and two international airports. The KRG is trying to improve its foreign relations with other high-level meetings with the UN and UK. But former US anti-ISIS envoy Brett McGurk has expressed concern about the US ordering its non-essential staff from Iraq. In addition, Germany and Holland both suspended training of Kurdish Peshmerga due to the tensions. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for a peaceful solution of the tensions brewing with Iran. We cover our military with the blood of Jesus and angelic protection. In Jesus name.
- 11) For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12) they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.(Psam 91:11-12)
