The Equality Act - Vote Due Today

H.R. 5: The Equality Act

Vote Due Today in the House Chamber

Prayer & Action: the 'Equality Act' Is Much Worse Than We Thought, It's the 'Most Serious Threat to Life and Liberty to Ever be Proposed by Congress'

> > > Editor's Note: We are republishing this article from Saturday's Legislative Snapshot, outlining the dangers of this bill. Please join us in prayer today that GOD will do a miracle in the House Chamber, causing this vote to fail. Amen.

HR 5 (The Equality Act) amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by striking the word "sex" and inserting "sex, sexual orientation, gender identity" as protected classes throughout the federal code. In addition, the terms "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" will be defined to mean "pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition." In other words, under the terms of this bill, "pregnancy, childbirth or a related medical condition... shall not receive less favorable treatment than other physical conditions."

Specifically, HR 5 also expands the definition of public accommodations to include places or establishments that provide "(1) exhibitions, recreation, exercise, amusement, gatherings or displays; (2) goods, services or programs and (3) transportation services."

Any time "sex discrimination" has been previously added to federal law, Congress has secured rules to ensure that it does not require the funding of abortion or override conscience laws. Before HR 5, every time sex discrimination is written into law, it is written to exclude abortion. HR 5 would preempt these laws. It also prohibits the Religious Freedom Restoration Act as a defense to the application of the law. That means there is no religious or conscience protection against forcing a religious organization or health care worker to provide or participate in abortion. Any denial of abortion would be considered discrimination.
The "Equality Act's" broad definition of a public accommodation to include health care providers applies explicitly to all health care providers, including individuals and entities who object to abortion, and implicitly, possibly applying to non-physical entities like state governments that determine health care coverage under Medicaid.

As such, this provision puts in jeopardy both longstanding federal conscience laws providing for protections for abortion objectors, and even the Hyde Amendment, prohibiting taxpayer funding for abortion. Language contained in the legislation could be used to force health care professionals and hospitals to perform abortions, regardless of if this would violate their conscience. In addition, the pro-life protections in current federal and state law would also be put at risk. So, under this umbrella of "discrimination," any American who doesn't want to fund, offer, perform, or participate in abortion-on-demand will have no real choice.

HR 5 recently passed in the House Judiciary Committee and is expected to go to the House floor for a vote next week. The battle over HR 5 will occur in the Senate, where the bill number is S. 788.
"The so-called 'Equality Act' is worse than what we thought," said Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. "The bill goes far beyond LGBT to include abortion and much more. This bill is the most serious threat to life and liberty to ever be proposed by Congress." (Breaking Christian News) Read more.

- Father God, we are grieved that this wicked bill has now passed out of the House Committee and is headed to the floor for a vote by the full Congress next week. Together, we ask You to forgive House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and many others, who have been working to write this bill and to see it pass. Father God, they know not what they do.

Lord God, together, we take up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and we come against the passage of H.R. 5 into law, as its language does not align with Your Word. We thank You, Holy One, that the victory is the Lord's, and we stand aligned with You to see this evil piece of legislation be defeated this week in Congress. In Your name, amen.

Verses to Decree in UNISON:

1. "Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;
Speak the word, but it will not stand,
For God is with us."

(Isaiah 8:10)

2. "You will also declare a thing,
And it will be established for you;
So light will shine on your ways."

(Job 22:28)

3. 'This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!'(Job 38:11)

4. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Rev. 12:11)

5. "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
(John 15:7)

Focus on Israel

1. US Embassy in Israel issues security alert - Israel National News

The US Embassy in Israel on Monday issued a security alert to American citizens in Israel ahead of the anniversary of the US Embassy opening in Jerusalem, which is on Tuesday, May 14.

"Terrorist groups may choose the anniversary, which coincides with the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv (May 14-18), or Nakba Day (May 15), to conduct violent protests or an attack," the advisory said.

"Security incidents can occur well beyond Gaza and its periphery and at any time, as demonstrated by the May 3-5 rocket attacks in southern Israel, including Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Be'er Sheva, and the March 14 and March 25 rocket attacks in Central Israel," it added.

The alert encouraged US citizens in Israel "to remain vigilant and take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness. In the event of mortar and/or rocket fire, a Red Alert siren may be activated. Treat all such alerts as real; follow the instructions from local authorities and seek shelter immediately. Know the location of your closest shelter or protected space. U.S. government personnel and their family members may be restricted from traveling to areas affected by rocket activity, sirens, and/or the opening of bomb shelters

2. Temple Mount to be closed to Jews on Jerusalem Day - Israel National News

The Israel Police announced that the Temple Mount would be closed to Jews for several days, including on Jerusalem Day, the day on which the liberation of Jerusalem by Israel during the 1967 Six Day War is celebrated.

Following an appeal on the closure from the "Students for the Temple Mount" group, the police said that "every year the Temple Mount is closed for visits during the last several days of Ramadan, for reasons of public safety and security and public order. We inform you that a petition in this matter was submitted to the Supreme Court.

Temple Mount activist Arnon Segal wrote in his Twitter account, "It turns out that, as we feared, the Temple Mount will be closed for Jews on the day of its liberation. We will not accept this racial discrimination. We will fight it. Every elected public official who is committed to the principles of democracy, freedom of worship and freedom of access must fight for the return of the Temple Mount to the Jews, to stand with us on the day of the Temple Mount's liberation at the entrance to the compound."

3. IDF said to issue troops near Gaza strict open fire orders ahead of Eurovision - Times of Israel

The IDF has tightened the rules of engagement for troops based near the Gaza Strip as Israel seeks to maintain calm as it hosts the Eurovision song contest this week in Tel Aviv, the Haaretz daily reported Monday.

According to the report, commanders were instructed to act judiciously and told that any live fire, except in the case of an immediate danger to life, needs the authorization of the senior officer in the command. The decision is no longer left up to the forces in the field. Israel has taken a series of steps in recent days to ensure quiet after a major round of violence with the terror groups in the Gaza Strip threatened to derail the international singing extravaganza in Tel Aviv.

4. Liberman's ultimatum: Accept all demands or we go to opposition - Jerusalem Post

If the Likud does not accept Yisrael Beytenu's demands, it will not join the coalition, party leader Avigdor Liberman said in the Knesset Monday.

Liberman said he will not speak to Likud negotiators until they say they will agree to his party's five major demands.

"They have our phone numbers," he said.

The former defense minister slammed the government for allowing Qatar to transfer $30 million to Hamas in Gaza, a week after the terrorist organization, along with Palestinian Islamic Jihad, shot nearly 700 rockets at Israel.

If the next coalition "decides to defeat [Hamas], we will be loyal partners," he stated. "There shouldn't be any agreements [with Hamas] until our captive soldiers and civilians are brought home."

5. Netanyahu slams 'distorted' reports on plans to curb Supreme Court - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday evening railed at "misleading" and "distorted" media reports according to which he was seeking to nullify the High Court of Justice's oversight of Knesset decisions, but indicated that he thought the bench should not be able to strike down legislation.

A Haaretz report earlier in the day claimed the prime minister planned to promote a bill that would allow the Knesset to ignore the court's administrative rulings, and would also permit parliament to resubmit laws that have been struck down by the court in the past.

It would thus prevent the court from overruling both Knesset legislation and government decisions, and elevate the latter above those of the judiciary. According to the report, the planned bill will be included in a legal annex to coalition agreements and government guidelines.

1. Peggy Grande: California Dems' bid to keep Trump off the ballot should scare all of us - Fox News

Just when you think you've seen it all in California, there's another surprise coming out of Sacramento. This one not only displays unprecedented overreach, but also an absolute disregard for the United States Constitution. The California state Senate approved a bill earlier this month to require candidates appearing on the 2020 presidential primary ballot - including President Trump - to release five years' worth of income tax returns.

A timely and conveniently biased bill, which if it becomes law, means that Trump's name may not appear on the California primary ballot during the upcoming presidential election cycle. And an especially egregious bill since the United States Constitution clearly states that there are only three requirements for holding the presidency.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution says to serve as president, one must: be a natural-born U.S. citizen of the United States; be at least thirty-five years old; be a resident in the United States for at least fourteen years.

- Father, the lawlessness of Democrats across the country grieves us. We pray that Your Spirit will cause a wave of repentance from coast to coast. This move is a blatant attempt to circumvent the rule of law in America and we ask that You stop it from succeeding.

"Thus far shall you come, but no farther: and here shall your proud waves be stopped." (Job 38:11)

2. Pence says White House wants judges reined in - WND

It's the U.S. Supreme Court that makes constitutional rulings that impact every state. But some district judges are issuing rulings that effectively impact everyone in the United States. And it's a development that the White House intends to fight.

Bloomberg reported Vice President Mike Pence said in a speech the administration will ask the Supreme Court to halt the practice. Pence told the Federalist Society that district court judges, the lowest rung of the federal court system, have "imposed more nationwide injunctions against Trump than the first 40 presidents combined." The orders have affected issues such as tax funding for abortionists, allowing people from terror-sponsoring countries to enter the U.S. and allowing transgenders in the military. (Read more)

- Thank you, Lord that Vice President Pence is sounding the alarm on the liberal judges that are issuing rulings that affect the entire nation instead of their own jurisdictions. Let our gates of truth arise from the ashes they have been buried in for decades.

"Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds." ( Hosea 6:1)

3. Trump is on the Verge of Flipping the New York Appeals Court to Conservative Control - Daily Caller

The Senate confirmed Judge Joseph Bianco and Michael Park to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, putting President Donald Trump on the verge of flipping the panel to conservative control. Bianco and Park are Trump's second and third appointees to that panel. If Trump fills the remaining two vacancies on the 2nd Circuit, Republican appointees will control the court. The two were confirmed with separate votes Wednesday and Thursday.

The 2nd Circuit is the federal appeals court that covers Connecticut, New York and Vermont. Given its jurisdiction over Manhattan, the 2nd Circuit has a large and important docket of corporate and securities law cases. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that President Trump will be able to flip as many courts as possible in light of the liberal actions that have damaged our gates over the years.

4. Rashida Tlaib slammed by House GOP over statement that Holocaust gives her 'kind of a calming feeling' - Fox News

House Republican leaders called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to "take action" against Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Sunday after Tlaib said that thinking about the Holocaust gave her "kind of a calming feeling."

Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American woman to be elected to Congress, made the comments while discussing the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians during an appearance on the Yahoo News podcast "Skullduggery."

"There's always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors - Palestinians - who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people's passports," Tlaib said on the podcast's most recent episode, published Friday. "And, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And, I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways, but they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them."

"There is no justification for the twisted and disgusting comments made by Rashida Tlaib just days after the annual Day of Holocaust Remembrance," House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., said in a statement. "More than six million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust; there is nothing 'calming' about that fact. (Read more)

- Lord, these egregious remarks against Your people are shameful. We pray for her soul, but we ask that You remove her from our Congress.

5. Maxine Waters Paid Daughter $50K from Campaign Funds for Accrued Debt - Free Beacon

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) paid $50,000 from her campaign's coffers to her daughter in recent months to chip away at six figures of accrued debt for an operation that pulls in large sums of money for the congresswoman's campaign committee, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Rep. Waters's committee disbursed two payments to her daughter, Karen, in the amounts of $42,000 and $8,000 during the first quarter, which runs from Jan. 1 to March 31. The $50,000 in payments were made to Karen for running a slate mailer, or endorsement mailer, operation from the campaign and were the most paid out by the committee for any activity throughout the first three months of the year.

Waters's campaign committee reported $94,000 of debts owed to her daughter in pre-general midterm election filings submitted to the FEC on Oct. 17, 2018. However, this amount shot up $90,000 in a matter of weeks to $183,022.15, the Washington Free Beacon previously reported.

Now, Waters's campaign reports $182,383 in total debts and obligations after the first quarter and following the recent $50,000 in payments. An overwhelming majority of this amount-$133,022.15-is marked as debt still owed to Karen, who already directly pocketed $108,000 from the campaign during the midterm elections. (Read more)
- Father, this woman has continually shown hatred towards the President, yet steals from her campaign funds for personal use. We pray for justice and truth to overwhelm her life.

6. Trump administration moves to crack down on illegal immigrants in public housing - Fox News

The Trump administration on Friday moved forward with a proposed rule to make it harder for illegal immigrants to access federally subsidized housing -- the latest crackdown by the administration on immigrants who use public assistance.

The rule, proposed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and posted in the Federal Register, would require that those seeking public housing would be subject to verification of their immigration status. Only families in which every member is either a citizen or a legal resident would qualify for federally subsidized housing. Currently families where at least one person is either a citizen or green card holder can get federal assistance, even if other family members are not.

The administration says that regulations "presently excuse individuals from submitting documentation if they do not contend to having eligible immigration status. This results in no actual determination of immigration status being made." The rule would also require current participants who have not previously proven their eligibility to do so at their next evaluation of their need for public assistance.

An agency analysis, reported by The Washington Post, found that approximately 25,000 households, representing about 108,000 people, now live in subsidized housing with at least one person who would be ineligible. (Read more)
- Lord, we pray that You will release Your wisdom over HUD Secretary Ben Carson and those who will enforce access to federally subsidized housing.

7. Veterans' Home Investigating "Offensive" Bible Study - WND

After suspending a Bible studying for being "offensive" and then restoring it amid a campaign to petition the president, a California veterans home now is investigating the Bible study leader for "discussing heaven and salvation."

The battle won't end until religious freedom is fully restored for residents of the Veterans Home of California in Yountville, says the Pacific Justice Institute, which is defending the leader, Artis Breau.

Pacific Justice contends it's an attack on a Christian woman who describes her work this way: "God put me in the business of helping people find Him."

Her Bible study was suspended, she was stripped of her volunteer chaplaincy responsibilities and threatened with removal from the home, PJI said. In response, PJI set up the Defend Artis webpage, which petitions the president on her behalf.

It explains CalVet punished her for the offense of "leading Bible studies for the most elderly and frail residents." All because of "official disagreement with and hostility toward her particular religious beliefs," the petition explains. The study was reinstated just days ago. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for Artis Breau, and ask for Your faith and strength to fill her spirit. Protect her, Mighty God and let her see Your hand in the Bible Studies she conducts. We praise You that the study was reinstated!

"And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me."

8. Mike Cernovich on Big Tech Censorship: They're Taking Out the Influential People One-by-One- Breitbart

Mike Cernovich described the Silicon Valley Masters of the Universe expanding censorship of conservatives as a political measure to assist Democrats in 2020's upcoming presidential elections and beyond, offering his remarks in a Friday interview on SiriusXM's Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

"They want to ban everyone before the primary season heats up," said Cernovich. "They're getting rid of all the people who are influential or perceived as influential, and they're taking them out one-by-one. Facebook is now banning people for what they call 'off-platform harassment,' but yet Facebook paid users to harass other people."

According to Cernovich, Big Tech companies such as Facebook, and Twitter, and Google - including its subsidiary YouTube - deploy political censorship to combat what they label "hate speech." Noteworthy figures recently banned from the various platforms include Alex Jones, Laura Loomer, Gavin McInnes, and Milo Yiannopoulos.

Silicon Valley companies deny that left-wing or partisan Democrat biases shape their conduct. Cernovich noted how Twitter's enforcement of its stated user codes of conduct is colored by its left-wing and partisan politics, noting Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims (D) remains on Twitter after soliciting assistance on Periscope - a video-streaming platform owned by Twitter and integrated into its platform - to dox pro-life teenagers and deridinga woman for being white.

"Brian Sims is actually a great example [of Twitter's political double-standard]," said Cernovich. "He literally harassed underage girls. He's not banned. He uses racially-charged language to talk about women. He essentially said old white women aren't allowed to have political opinions, 'Oh, look at this old white woman out here trying to have an opinion.' Not banned. Everything's cool." (Read more)
- Lord, as conservative voices continue to be removed from social media, we pray for a reckoning for the Big Tech companies that are behind the censorship.

"Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him." (Psalm 32:10)

9. Trouble for CNN over terror nation ties to TV analysts - Washington Examiner

A report highlighted by Donald Trump Jr. that some CNN national security analysts have undisclosed ties to a Middle Eastern nation that sponsors terrorism threatens to undercut the network's support among Democrats and independents, according to a new survey.

A poll of six battleground states found that likely voters, especially Democrats, believe the report, the latest evidence that President Trump's attacks on CNN have had an impact.

The survey from WPA Intelligence came after Conservative Review revealed the undisclosed ties of CNN national security "regulars" to Qatar, a sponsor of terrorism. (Read more)
- Father, thank You for revealing this, but we ask that it be more widely known to all Americans. Let there be no more collusion with the mainstream media. Let all who profess to be journalists be held accountable.

"So then each of us shall give account of himself to God." (Romans 14:12)

10. Chinese spies acquired NSA tools, used them to attack US allies: report - The Hill

A leading cybersecurity firm found evidence Chinese intelligence operatives repurposed National Security Agency (NSA) hacking technology in 2016 to attack American allies and private firms in Europe and Asia, according to The New York Times.

The hacking group that repurposed the tools has committed several attacks on U.S. targets including space, satellite and nuclear propulsion tech manufacturers, according the Times, citing a classified agency memo.

While Symantec is not sure how the Chinese got the code, Chinese intelligence contractors have used the tools to conduct cyber warfare in Belgium, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, the Philippines and Vietnam, according to the Times, with targets ranging from schools and scientific research to the government of a U.S. ally. In one case, an operation against a telecommunications network may have led them to obtain as many as millions of private communications, according to Symantec. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask for Your protection over America against the attacks of the enemy, both in the natural and in the spiritual. We repent of our sin and turn our hearts to You.

US Congressman admits coup attempt

Finally, a member of Congress admitted that the deep state, the Democratic Party, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the media were attempting a coup against a duly elected President. Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) Friday told Breitbart Daily News, "This came very close to being the first successful coup since our Constitution went into effect in 1789. We are not having it, and we're going to put people in jail that were part of this. That's got to happen."This is a public admission by an elected official that our government was in danger of being overthrown. Unlike military coups, this continues to be a coup attempt pitting political will against legal principles to undermine the will of the people. Here's why this is dangerous.

Gohmert told Breitbart News, "It's time for Republicans to say, 'Enough already. You have put this country through hell. You have let these ridiculous allegations that we now see are totally bogus get you the majority in the House.' But if the American people will wake up, and I hope that they will, I think that they are, it seems like things are indicating that, then it's time for anybody with an R or D beside their names that's going to preserve the Constitution--make no mistake, we are in a constitutional crisis--to stand up and say, 'Enough already.'" Democratic Party leaders also are saying that America is in a Constitutional crisis, but few are pointing out that the Democratic leadership and the news media created the crisis.
The Daily Jot has been one of the few news outlets reporting that the nefarious machinations of these powerful political forces have been attempting a coup. All the while they were sending the narrative that President Donald Trump would not accept the results of the election if he lost, but they are the ones who will not accept the election results. They used a secret court to get legal ground to spy on Trump's campaign and transition team in an effort to undermine his presidency, obstruct the workings of government, and to remove Trump from office. My personal opinion, however, is that no one high up will ever go to jail over this because sedition laws require "force" to be used against the government. The intent here has been cunningly obscured.
Many Christians write me saying that as Christians, our attention is to be focused on a higher kingdom. They claim government and affairs of America should be of no interest to Christians. I couldn't disagree more. Our Constitution guarantees religious freedom and free speech. This has resulted in America being a beacon of Christ in spreading the gospel both in America and around the world. We are blessed beyond imagination because of religious freedom. To say that the affairs of government are of no interest to Christians is an ignorant position. Romans 12:21 says, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Moreover, being so heavenly minded that one is no earthly good is become a predominant reason why the nation and its citizens are exiting Christianity. Perhaps, that's the real coup-one by the devil.

Have a blessed and powerful day,

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

"God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever." (Galatians 1:4-5)

Lyrics

To God be the glory! Great things He hath done!
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son;
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son:
and give Him the glory!
Great things He hath done!
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood!
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Great things He hath taught us,
great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our rapture, when Jesus we see.

Heavy rains, 'incredible' flooding blamed for 2 deaths across Southeast from storm system

Heavy rains from a storm system sparked flash flooding that turned deadly across portions of the Southeast on Sunday and may have also contributed to a freight train derailment.

Flash flood warnings were posted in New Orleans and surrounding areas until 1 p.m. on Sunday as strong storms moved through the area. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center said there was still the risk of "excessive rainfall from parts of the Central Gulf Coast to the Central Appalachians/Mid-Atlantic."
"We've had so much rain this week, especially areas of Kansas, parts of Oklahoma, and then right here across areas of the Southeast, Texas, much of Louisiana, Mississippi; it's caused incredible flooding," Fox News Chief Meteorologist Rick Reichmuth said on "FOX & friends."

In Pearl River County, Miss., emergency officials told FOX8 that heavy rains washed out roads and caused the deaths of two people in separate traffic accidents.
Flooding caused the Mississippi Highway Patrol to close part of Highway 49 in Stone County Sunday morning. The flooding may also have contributed to the derailment of a freight train near Lumberton a little after 7 a.m. Saturday.

The derailment, in Pearl River County, happened as the train traveled from Birmingham, Ala., to New Orleans, Norfolk Southern spokeswoman Rachel McDonnell Bradshaw told the Associated Press. Three of the cars were carrying steel and 25 were empty, Bradshaw said. She said no hazardous materials were involved and no injuries were reported. (Read more)

Israeli leader vows to put Bible on the moon,
stresses importance of studying the Bible,
addresses Intl. Bible Quiz held today, Israel's 71st modern birthday

The newly re-elected premier of Israel made an intriguing proposal on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Israel's prophetic rebirth as a sovereign nation in 1948.

As he attended the International Bible Quiz and made the case for the importance of studying and knowing the Bible, "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called . . . for a printed Bible to be carried to the moon by the next Israeli spacecraft to make the journey, and credited Judaism's foundational text for the 'daring' and 'spirit' Israelis demonstrate in the attempt," reports the Times of Israel.

"Speaking at the International Bible Quiz for Youth, which is held every year on Independence Day, the prime minister vowed to send a second spacecraft after the first, dubbed 'Beresheet' (Genesis), crashed onto the lunar surface on April 11 due to complications resulting from a gyroscope failure," noted the Times. "Last month we felt tremendous excitement: the spacecraft Beresheet was a hand's breadth from the moon," Netanyahu said in his remarks at the Bible Quiz event in Jerusalem.

"Noting that the lander carried a digital copy of the Bible, he announced, 'that's not enough . . . We're going to send the spacecraft again, and it's very likely it will be carrying a small [printed] Bible. I want the Bible to land on the moon, because it is written [in Psalms 8:4], 'When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have established.' The State of Israel will reach the moon.'"

How can Israel truly have a deep impact on the world? Netanyahu asked.

"How do we do it?" he asked rhetorically. "We do it through initiative, determination and daring - given to us by our spirit. And our spirit comes from the Bible. That's not just words. That spirit comes from the Bible, because there's no meaning to the enormous journey we have made to return to our land, to our birthplace, if we had not carried with us our faith, our tradition and our yearning for the homeland."

Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."[Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
