Dear Friends,

Tonight our hearts are filled with joy at "what God hath wrought" for CHPP over these past few days.

As you will recall, one week ago, our finances were, well, meager at best. But NOW, we find ourselves in the opposite position!
So many of you have both heard and have responded to our plea for help, that we will now enter into 2018 in the most financially solid position we have ever seen!
Our sense is that this amazing "avalanche of funds" is really a prophetic sign of the "abundance of His Glory" that is about to fall upon all of God's people, greatly accelerating the advancement of His Kingdom work.

Supreme Court News

After their Christmas vacation, the SCOTUS Justices will be back in conference next week, and start hearing cases again on Monday, January 8th. Pray this session will bring forth righteous and just judgments, that honor God and our Founding Fathers intent! (Source: 24/7 NSPC Prayer Line)

News in Congress

The House and the Senate will resume their legislative business on Wednesday, January 3rd. As with the Supreme Court, we too pray for God's will to be done in this second session of this congressional year, by both parties and on both sides of the Hill. Amen!

	News from David's Tent

THE DAY BEYOND THE DAWN:

50 Weeks - 50 States Date Assignments

Volunteers are Needed!!

After every dawn comes a day, where the sun simply keeps shining. Jesus has an extended an invitation to our nation to present Him with a radiant offering of worship that will never set, from the center of our Nation's Capital. In 2015, David's Tent DC began an unending, non-stop love song to Jesus from a tent on the National Mall. The heart behind David's Tent is that from the place of highest honor and governmental prominence in our land, we would publicly declare His worth in every moment. Our dream is that this song would never end, but simply be a pre chorus for the great eternal song of praise!
We are inviting all 50 states to come bring their offering to Jesus from the Capital City in 2018. Specifically, we are inviting states to make a pilgrimage and bring an outreach team to adopt a week at David's Tent. Our desire is that the teams would be large enough to fully take over the tent for their time here, serving as staff and worship leaders, though we will be thrilled to accept smaller teams as well. We are encouraging teams to target bringing twenty to forty people, including at least a dozen worship leaders, and to have at least nine staff willing to do night watch. Will your state be one?
The states are listed in chronological order, according to the date each one signed the Constitution of the "new" United States. Accordingly, this week the State of DELAWARE will "man the tent," from January 1st to January 7th, as it was the FIRST STATE to sign our founding document.
Three other states will follow Delaware this month, as PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, and GEORGIA.

The American Center for Prayer and Revival

("ACPR" because AMERICA NEEDS CPR!)

What is the ACPR?

The American Center for Prayer and Revival (ACPR) is a prayer center, established by Dick Eastman on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

The Center is managed and maintained by Wayne and Jenese Garland, who welcome prayer teams, 24/7, to lift up prayers for our nation at this site.
Throughout this upcoming year, the ACPR will also be cooperating and coordinating with Jason Hershey's "Beyond the Dawn" initiative, which begins tomorrow at David's Tent.

Please find below a message from Jenese Garland, explaining the details of this exciting prayer mission:

In tandem with the Day Beyond the Dawn vision for teams from each state to come the week of the year correlating with their assimilation (right word?) into the Union, Jason was also thinking prayer teams could come and spend time praying at ACPR. Same thing, each week a state team coming in correlation to their assimilation into the Union. On www.davidstentdc.org website under the Day Beyond the Dawn link you will find the list of states/territories and when they are coming into DC.

Unlike the teams coming in for DTDC, there is not housing available for the prayer teams so those arrangements would have to be made by the teams themselves. But we hope that will not be a hindrance. We are praying and believing God will move on the heart of each one that is to come and He will make a way for housing.

The first four weeks are: Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia . . . so that would be a miracle, but God is into those so, let's believe for big things. A Message from Oswald Chambers

"Security" is defined as the state of being free from danger or threat; freedom from, or resilience against, potential harm from external forces; freedom from danger; freedom from fear or anxiety; freedom from the prospect of being rejected; safety. In his book, MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST, Oswald Chambers writes about security, past, future and present! As we read and pray through the following three points, let us thank God for HIS LIGHT. . . and the security ONLY He can provide.
- Security from Yesterday. God requires "an account of what is past". Ecclesiastes 3:15. At the end of the year, we turn with eagerness to all that God has for the future, and yet anxiety is apt to arise when we remember our yesterdays. Our present enjoyment of God's grace tends to be lessened by the memory of yesterday's sins and blunders. But God is the God of our yesterdays, and He allows the memory of them to turn the past into a ministry of spiritual growth for our future. God reminds us of the past to protect us from a very shallow security in the present.
- Security for Tomorrow. ". . . the Lord will go before you . . ." This is a gracious revelation, that God will send His forces out where we have failed to do so. He will keep watch so that we will not be tripped up again by the same failures, as would undoubtedly happen if He were not our "rear guard." God's hand reaches back to the past, settling all the claims against our conscience.
- Security for Today. "You shall not go out with haste . . ." As we go forth into the coming year, let it not be in the haste of impetuous, forgetful delight, nor with the quickness of impulsive thoughtlessness. But let us go out with the patient power of knowing that the God of Israel will go before us. Our yesterdays hold broken and irreversible things for us. It is true that we have lost opportunities that will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future.
Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ.

Leave the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.

- Lord, help us to remember Your promises and see how they apply to our lives, past, future and present. Let Your Word strengthen and enlighten us when all seems dark!

- Holy Spirit, remind us of previous victories and of how You were there with us in past trials and times of testing. We praise You for each victorious moment and rejoice in it!

- Lord Jesus, you said that sin had no part in YOU. We desire the same! Will You reveal any open door which gives darkness a legal right to attack or oppress us? With Your help, we repent of our sin and close those doors permanently!
- Lord, let us be a people who hear from You, have strong faith, love You unconditionally, and are overcomers. We reject anything that would try to make us feel insecure, competitive, jealous, naysayers, arrogant, or perfectionistic.

- Give us Your perspective in every situation. You know all things and are sovereign! Help us to sing in the midst of the storm and apprehend Your victory, even before it's manifested upon the earth.

- Let us be a people who speak life and prophesy as YOU show us...about faith, perspectives, miracles, and greater intimacy with YOU . . . and we will delight as You move mountains and provide for our needs.

- Father, help us to be flexible and to adjust to the "things" You are doing in this hour! As the old passes away, we stand ready for a new season, and enter into 2018 with YOU!
