The Coming 'Super Blue Blood Moon,' What Is It and Does It Have Spiritual, Prophetic Significance?
To Be Seen on Wednesday, January 31st
It's being called a "Super Blue Blood Moon" and it's special for three reasons according to NASA: it's the third in a series of "supermoons," that's when the Moon is closer to Earth in its orbit and is brighter than usual.
It's also the second full moon of the month which is known as a "blue moon."
Finally, the super blue moon will pass through Earth's shadow giving it a total lunar eclipse in some areas. While the Moon is in the Earth's shadow it will take on a reddish tint, known as a blood moon.
"Weather permitting, the West Coast, Alaska and Hawaii will have a spectacular view of totality from start to finish," said Gordon Johnston, program executive and lunar blogger at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
"Unfortunately, eclipse viewing will be more challenging in the Eastern time zone. The eclipse begins at 5:51 AM ET, as the Moon is about to set in the western sky, and the sky is getting lighter in the east."
Spiritual Significance?
Blood Moons have also been thought to have spiritual signifcance and to be part of prophecies. Some also believe they have special signifigance in relation to Israel.
Christianheadlines.com reported that Rabbi Yosef Berger, the rabbi of King David's Tomb on Mont Zion told Breaking Israel News the Super Blue Blood Moon is significant with world events... citing U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of plans to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and recognize the city as the capital of Israel.
"The Talmud states that Israel is judged by our actions, by our commitment to Hashem (God), and not by astrological signs. In fact, the Talmud states that a lunar eclipse is a bad sign for those who hate Israel," Berger said. (CBN) Read more.

1. Jordan's king vows to stick up for Palestinians on Jerusalem- Times of Israel
AMMAN, Jordan - Jordan's king assured the Palestinians he will defend their "legitimate rights" to independence and a capital in East Jerusalem in dealings with the international community.
King Abdullah II met Monday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who is pushing back against last month's US recognition of contested Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Jordan's royal court said after the Abbas meeting that the king "affirmed Jordan's continued efforts in all international forums to defend the Palestinian cause." Abdullah also called for the international community "to safeguard the rights of Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims and Christians in the city of Jerusalem," which he said was "the key to achieving peace and stability in the region," according to the official Petra news agency.

2. PLO urges Arab-Israelis to unite with Palestinians - Jerusalem Post
The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is urging Arab-Israelis to march in their villages, cities and at nearest checkpoints against the the Trump administration's positions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The PLO issued the call to action in a press release urging a united Palestinian voice against the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital; the rumored rejection by the White House of Palestinian refugees' right to return to Israel as part of any future peace deal; and the cut-off of American aid for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
There will also be concurrent events at Al-Najah University in the West Bank city of Nablus, in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. At the same time, the PLO declared this coming Friday a major "day of rage" in the Palestinian territories and regional Arab and Islamic capitals.

3. 'Attack again, and I'll launch a missile at Ben Gurion airport' - Israel National News
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad today sent a threat to Israel through Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying that if Israel attacked targets in the country again, Syria would respond by firing Scud missiles at Ben-Gurion Airport. "Syrian honor is above all else," Assad told Putin, who replied that he would convey the message to Israel.
About three weeks ago, the Syrian army announced that Israel had carried out a series of attacks on an Assad army base in the eastern Kalmon Mountains, north of Damascus, confirming reports by media outlets close to the regime and as reported by Mako news.According to the army's announcement, Israel carried out three attacks with fighter jets and missiles. "The air defense forces opened fire at the sources of the fire and hit aircraft," the statement said. In Israel no confirmation was forthcoming regarding the damaging of aircraft.
According to the official Syrian report, the series of attacks began at 2:40 am when planes fired missiles from Lebanon's airspace towards the Al-Katifa area. Then, at 3:40 am, another attack was carried out using surface-to-surface missiles launched from the Golan Heights. At 4:15 a third attack was carried out by four missiles fired from the Tiberias area. The Syrian army also claims that in response, its air defense forces opened fire at the aircraft and the missiles, and succeeded in intercepting or destroying some of them.

4. In Moscow, Israeli PM Netanyahu Tells Russian President Putin: We Must 'Stand Up to Murderous Ideologies'- Algemeiner
JNS.org - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the lesson of the Holocaust is to "stand up to murderous ideologies," and called for Israel and Russia to work together to "promote security and stability" in the Middle East. Netanyahu, who toured Moscow's Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center with Putin, said that the visit "reflects our common struggle against the greatest evil that humanity has known, and the awful price paid by my people, the Jewish people, and the Russian people and the great sacrifice of 20 million Russians alongside our 6 million, and the heroism of the Red Army in achieving victory over the Nazis." "I think that the main lesson of the rise of the Nazis and, afterwards, their defeat, is that one needs to take a strong and timely stand against murderous ideologies," Netanyahu said. Putin thanked Netanyahu for meeting him at the museum, saying, "It is very symbolic, since these days the whole world is reminded of the victims of the Holocaust," referencing last Saturday's marking of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

5. East Jerusalem-based NGO dissolved for financing terrorism - Israel Hayom
The Jerusalem District Court on Sunday ordered the dissolution of a nongovernmental organization based in east Jerusalem that was used as a front by a Palestinian terrorist group. The illicit activities of Lajnat al-Amal al-Zarai, or the Committee of Agricultural Work, were first exposed by Israel Hayom in October 2016. The group allegedly funneled millions of dollars to the Gaza Strip-based Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. The Registrar of Associations in Israel initiated the NGO's liquidation process in the court, which ruled that the evidence presented supports the allegation that the organization was involved in donor fraud and terror financing.

1. House Intel votes to release controversial surveillance memo to the public - Fox News
The House Intelligence Committee on Monday evening voted to release a classified memo circulating in Congress that purportedly reveals government surveillance abuses.
The vote was announced to reporters by California Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee, who called it a "very sad day, I think, in the history of this committee." The motion passed on a party-line basis, he said.
Schiff said the GOP-majority committee also voted against releasing a counter memo written by Democrats. "Today this committee voted to put the president's personal interests, perhaps their own political interests, above the national interests," the Democrat said. President Trump now has five days to decide whether he has any objections before the memo can be publicly released.
Last week, a top Justice Department official urged House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes not to release the memo, saying it would be "extraordinarily reckless" and could harm national security and ongoing investigations. (Read more)
- Lord, let all wickedness in our government be revealed. We ask that no part of the "swamp" be allowed to continue operating. We pray for a move of Your Holy Spirit to bring redemption, repentance, and life back to America.
- "Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked." (Psalm 93:12,13)
2. FBI's Andrew McCabe, in spotlight amid Trump text controversy, removed from the bureau - Fox News
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was removed from his second-in-command post at the bureau and on "terminal leave," a source told Fox News. The news comes after months of conflict-of-interest complaints from Republicans over McCabe's ties to the Democratic Party, including his wife receiving donations for a failed 2015 Senate run from a group tied to former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
McCabe started at the FBI in 1996 as a special agent and has also "held leadership positions in the Counterterrorism Division, the National Security Branch, and the Washington Field Office," the FBI says. In July 2015, a press release announced that then-FBI director James Comey had appointed McCabe the FBI's associate deputy director. Comey later named McCabe the bureau's deputy director in January 2016.
"Andy's 19 years of experience, combined with his vision, judgment, and ability to communicate make him a perfect fit for this job," Comey said in a statement at the time.
After Trump fired Comey in May, McCabe was acting director of the FBI from May 9, 2017, until Aug. 2, 2017. Trump's pick to replace Comey, Christopher Wray, was sworn in Aug. 2. (Read more)
- Lord, there have been many conflict of interest issues raised over Andrew McCabe, so we thank You for removing him from his position in the FBI. Help both he and his wife come to know You as Savior.
- "When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it." (Psalm 37:34d)
3. Rosenstein OK'd surveillance of ex-Trump adviser: GOP memo - NY Post
A controversial and classified memo shows that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein okayed an application shortly after taking office last year to monitor a former Trump campaign associate, according to a report. The Department of Justice under President Trump extended surveillance on Carter Page, believing that he was acting as a Russian agent, the New York Times reported late Sunday, citing people familiar with the memo's contents.
The document faulted the FBI and the DOJ for failing to completely explain to the intelligence court judge in seeking the warrant that they were relying on information supplied by Christopher Steele, who compiled the disputed dossier that contains unsubstantiated claims about Trump's ties to Russia, the newspaper said. (Read more)
- Lord we praise You for more revelations that the DOJ and FBI completely failed to do their jobs objectively, according to the oath they took. We thank You for the full disclosure of the memo now that the House Intelligence committee has met, and that President Trump will concur. In Your name, amen.
- "Though his hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness will be revealed before the whole congregation." (Proverbs 26:26)
4. Conservatives Call on Congress to Name Members Who Used Tax Money to Settle Sex Harassment Claims - CNS News.com
A coalition of more than 60 conservatives signed a letter Wednesday calling on the House Republican leadership to take action on a bill requiring the disclosure of members of Congress who used taxpayer funds to settle cases of sexual harassment. H.R. 4494, the Congressional Accountability and Hush Fund Elimination Act, was introduced in November by Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.).
The bill, which has 100 bipartisan cosponsors, requires "disclosure within 30 calendar days of all settlement payments funded by taxpayers, the reason for the payment and the nature of the allegation, and the member of Congress or congressional staffer implicated in the matter." It also prohibits "future use of taxpayer dollars to pay sexual harassment and sexual assault claims against members of Congress and staff" and prohibits "members of Congress from using office budgets to camouflage payments." Furthermore, it requires "members of Congress and staff that have ever been named in a sexual harassment or sexual assault settlement paid for by taxpayers" to pay the money back to the U.S. Treasury "with interest." (Read more)
- Mighty God, we thank You for bringing these dark, wicked and hidden sexual harassment claims to the forefront and providing an act of Congress to punish the evil doers for using our tax dollars to pay for their unlawful acts. Bring a holy cleansing to our government and break down every stronghold that would support these illegal acts under the power of God. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "Give glory to God, before He cause darkness and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, He turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness." (Jeremiah 13:16)
5. Joni Eareckson Tada: If Christians Don't Act, US Assisted Suicide Laws Could Become Like UK, Canada - Christian Post
Renowned evangelical author and disabilities advocate Joni Eareckson Tada is warning that the United States could one day become like Canada or more liberal European nations that promote physician-assisted suicide unless Christians push back against the trend. Eareckson Tada, a 68-year-old quadriplegic and best-selling author, spoke with The Christian Post last week before giving a keynote address at the annual Evangelicals for Life conference in the nation's capital in which she addressed the topic of "dignity in disability." Tada, the founder of the Joni and Friends International Disability Center who was paralyzed in a diving accident when she was 17, stressed that the way a strong majority of the American public and many evangelicals are quickly embracing physician-assisted suicide as a "morally acceptable" option when patients face terminal illnesses, she could easily see the U.S. going the way of more socially progressive nations within the next 10-plus years.
"Thirty-eight percent of evangelicals feel that it's morally permissible for physicians to help when requested for aid in dying," Tada said, referring to a 2016 LifeWay Research poll. "That shows me that No. 1, we don't have a biblical worldview on suffering and we don't know how to deal with it. We want to drug it, escape it, euthanize it, do anything but live with it. No. 2, we fear it. What we have done in our country is we have allowed fundamental fears to be the framework for what we think is rational, social policy," she continued. "That reflects a culture of contradictions." Tada specifically voiced concern about the assisted suicide law in the state of Oregon, known as the Death With Dignity Act. The act permits physician-assisted suicide for people with illnesses and conditions that could lead to death within six months. Although the law has been on the books since 1997, it was recently reported that the law was written so loosely that it could technically permit people with treatable deadly illnesses such as diabetes to refuse treatment and be eligible for physician-assisted suicide so long as they find two doctors to sign off on their request. (Read more)
- Lord, we rebuke the spirit of death over America, and bind it up from moving any further in our land. We plead the Blood of Jesus against it and loose Your Holy Spirit upon every place where it is attempting to operate. We ask that those who are called by Your Name be filled with truth, that they will stand for what is right and not for a compromise against Your Word.
- "Your word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."
(Psalm 119:11)
6. America First: European CEOs Go One By One To Tell Trump They Are Investing Billions Back In The US - Daily Caller
President Donald J. Trump hosted a dinner with European business leaders and CEOs at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland Thursday evening. Trump has been making the rounds in Davos, holding bilateral meetings with other world leaders and conducting business roundtables. Trump met with various business leaders in shadow of the recent economic boom in America.
In a stunning moment, one by one, European titans of industry from companies like Adidas, Siemens and Bayer went around the table to thank Trump for the passage of tax cuts and the easing of corporate tax burdens. Almost every CEO had a new US-based investment or strategic business to announce.
The president of Seimens, Joe Kaeser, said, "since you have been so successful in tax reform we have decided to develop the next generation gas turbines in the United States."
Trump responded "That's great!" (Read more)
- Lord, we thank You for a steadily improving economy and for these businesses who wish to invest here once again! We pray Your preservation over our President that he will be able to do what needs to be done to recover from previous years. In Your Name, amen.
- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." (Proverbs 3:5)
7. Hidden photo of Obama and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan surfaces after 13 years - Washington Examiner
A photo of former President Barack Obama and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan from 2005 surfaced on Thursday after more than a decade of a journalist keeping the encounter under wraps. The photo of Obama and Farrakhan was taken at a Congressional Black Caucus meeting in 2005, but it never reached the public eye after the caucus asked the photographer, Askia Muhammad, to hand it over in fear that it would stain Obama's political future. "I sort of understood what was going on," Muhammad told Talking Points Memo, who was allowed to print the picture with his permission. "I promised and made arrangements to give the picture to Leonard Farrakhan," the leader's chief-of-staff and son-in-law.
The Congressional Black Caucus allegedly contacted Muhammad in a "panic" shortly after the event and asked him to hand over the photograph. Muhammad said he made a copy of the photograph on his computer before he gave "the disk" from his camera over to a staff member. "Realizing that I had given it up, I mean, it was sort of like a promise to keep the photograph secret," the photographer said, while explaining he didn't release his copy because he didn't want to betray that promise. "I was really, I guess, afraid of them," he continued.
Muhammad was afraid that someone would "break into his apartment" in search of the photo, like "that Watergate crap" if he was to ever release it. (Read more)
- Lord, the fact that this photo was deliberately hidden for so long speaks volumes about what is wrong with Congress. We see the lies of the left beginning to unravel, and we rejoice that Your hand is at work on our behalf.
- "Those from among you shall build the old waste places." (Isaiah 58:12a)
8. Does Google Home know who Jesus is? Brentwood resident says no - WZTV
Audio technology like Google Home and Amazon's Alexa are becoming a dominant source for information. But now, it appears one of the most common names is unknown to Google Home. And some people are sounding the alarm about what the technology tells you when you ask about Jesus. Brentwood resident David Sams owns a Google Home and an Amazon audio speaker. He says both give two different answers when asking "Who is Jesus Christ?"
"I even asked Google who is David Sams? Google knew who I was, but Google did not know who Jesus was, Google did not know who Jesus Christ was, and Google did not know who God was," Sams said.
Smart speakers are a technology owned by about 40 million Americans -- that's about one in six people in the nation. And this religious conversation at home is making waves on social media. Comments, videos and test results posted asking "Who is Jesus?" The general response from Google Home is "I'm not sure how to help you with that." (Read more)
- Lord, this is more than a story about a machine that gets information and gets it wrong, it's about the culture of America that has attempted to push You out for many years. We ask on our knees for a revival, a move of Your Holy Spirit across America in these dark days.
- "O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years!" (Habbakuk 3:2b)
9. Terrorism eyed after driver allegedly targets pedestrians in Philadelphia - Fox News
Terrorism was being eyed as a possible motive after a man in a black Honda targeted pedestrians Monday morning in Philadelphia, seriously injuring one person before being shot in the head by an off-duty cop, officials said.
The driver, who wasn't immediately identified, was prounced dead at 10:15 a.m., police said. The driver was initially in "extremely critical condition" after the incident and was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police said they were exploring possible motives, including if the incident was terror-related. "Anytime someone is trying to run people over we got to look at that angle and see what the investigation leads us," a police spokesman said.
Police were alerted about 7:30 a.m. to a reckless driver attempting to mow down pedestrians. The driver struck one person, who then flipped onto the hood of his car. (Read more)
- Lord, though we don't know his motive or his name at this point, we are grateful to You that the driver was unable to do any more harm.
- "But You have seen it, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand." (Psalm 10:14a)
10. Officials: 95 killed, 158 wounded in Afghan car bombing - Washington Examiner
A suicide bomber driving an ambulance killed at least 95 people and wounded 158 more in an attack claimed by the Taliban in the Afghan capital Kabul, authorities said. The bombing Saturday came just a week after Taliban militants killed 22 at an international hotel in the city. The attacker used the ambulance to get through a security checkpoint in central Kabul, telling police he was taking a patient to a nearby hospital, said Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesperson for the Interior Ministry. He then detonated his explosives at a second checkpoint, Rahimi said. The Health Ministry said 95 were killed and 158 wounded.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, claimed responsibility for the bombing, which sent thick, black smoke into the sky from the site near the government's former Interior Ministry building. Also nearby are the European Union and Indian consulates. The powerful explosion was felt throughout the capital and covered the blast area in smoke and dust. At the scene, dozens of vehicles were damaged or destroyed. Several shops, including some selling antiques and photography equipment, were also destroyed. The International Committee of the Red Cross condemned the attack in a tweet, saying: "The use of an ambulance in today's attack in #Kabul is harrowing. This could amount to perfidy under IHL. Unacceptable and unjustifiable." (Read more)
- Father we pray for Your mercy on the people of Afghanistan, and for Your son to reveal Himself to them. We ask for Your Comforter to bring life and light to those who have no idea of Your Salvation.
- "And I will pray the Father, and He give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever." (John 14:16)

Generations of criminality
While we are debating the criminality of politicians and how they are above the law, there is a segment of society who break the smallest of laws and the consequences are harsh and dire. It is the very issue to which a group of NFL players have been drawing attention over the last two seasons. Before you hit the unsubscribe button and call me a bunch of names, hear me out. I do not, nor will I ever, agree with Colin Kaepernick protesting during the National Anthem. His protest and his words about why he protested proved that he was uninformed of the truth, and was showing disrespect for our nation by promoting communists such as Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. But there is more to the story.
Philadelphia Eagles players Malcolm Jenkins, Chris Long, and Torrey Smith also protested. They said from the very beginning that it wasn't about the National Anthem or disrespecting the country. It was about criminal justice reform. It was about kids that were put in the system for misdemeanors and staying in the system because they couldn't get out. It was about adults who were arrested, and who may even be innocent, not being able to make bail, so they remain in jail for months or even over a year before their trial is conducted. It was about how these types of policies were impacting, even devastating, communities of color. It's true. The facts, in Pennsylvania alone, are amazing.
For example, Philadelphia has one of the highest populated jail systems in the nation, and it is increasing. Some 15 percent are in jail awaiting trial for 120 or more days. Bail is set so high that those jailed for disorderly conduct, loitering and some types of theft up to $2,000, cannot meet it, according to research done by the city. Also, think about this: the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health shows 5 percent of families account for more than 50 percent of all arrests. These are the specific issues that the players, and now the NFL and its owners, are taking up regarding criminal justice reform. They are also very similar to the Trump Administration platform on criminal justice reform. Strict law and order AND reform the system to hold fairness.
This is not about liberal vs conservative. This cycle ruins people's lives, and it's costly to taxpayers. NFL players and law enforcement are bringing kids together with hopes of kindling respect and trust. Education programs are being conducted for youth to understand the role of police. These are positive efforts being taken to break the generational curse of criminality. Jesus said in Matthew 25:36, "I was in prison, and you came to me." Then he said, "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me." This is a prickly issue. We need, however, to break the generations of criminality in this country. We may not like what it looks like, but at least it's a start. Jenkins, Long and Smith have turned their short-lived protests into actually doing something about the problem.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Senate Democrats Reject Pro-Life Bill

Democrats block 20-week abortion ban
Democrats blocked a bill on Monday that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks, a blow to anti-abortion groups that considered its passage a top priority for Congress in 2018.
The bill, authored by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), was unable to get the 60 votes necessary to end a filibuster and proceed to a vote, meaning the bill is effectively dead in the upper chamber.
The bill failed with a 51-46 vote. Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) were among those who voted "no." Alabama Sen. Doug Jones (D), who recently won in a special election against Republican candidate Roy Moore, also voted "no."
Graham's bill had little chance of passing the Senate, where Republicans hold a slim 51-49 majority. It sailed through the House on a party-line vote, 237-189, in October.
Most Democrats voted against the bill Monday, except for Sens. Joe Donnelly (Ind.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Bob Casey (Pa.), all of whom are facing tough reelection bids in November.
The legislation would have made it illegal for any person to perform or attempt an abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, with the possible penalty of five years in prison, fines or both. A woman seeking an abortion would not be penalized.(Read more)
Family Research Council Statement on the Senate Falling Short of Votes Needed to Proceed on Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Family Research Council (FRC) expressed disappointment over the Senate's failed vote on the motion to proceed to the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (S. 1922) today. This procedural motion received a majority (51 to 46) but fell short of the 60 votes required in the Senate to end debate and proceed to a final vote. This Pain-Capable bill, sponsored by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), would have saved over 13,000 human lives each year. This bill would have prohibited brutal abortions on unborn babies after five months post-fertilization, when they feel excruciating pain according to the testimony of medical experts.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said of the failed Senate motion to proceed:
"American should not be forced to remain in the company of nations that engage in the aborting of viable unborn children. Because of Democrat opposition to the Pain-Capable bill America will remain one of seven countries in the world, along with North Korea, China, and Vietnam that have legalized abortion on demand after 5 months of development. The American people will not forget the extreme position taken by Senate Democrats to block this commonsense legislation to stop barbaric late abortions, which is supported by nearly 60% of Americans," Perkins concluded.

WHIP LIST: Dems boycotting Trump's State of the Union
A growing number of Democrats are boycotting Tuesday's State of the Union address, underscoring the depth of disdain the Democratic lawmakers hold for President Trump.
Only two Democrats - Reps. Maxine Waters (Calif.) and Al Green (Texas) -skipped Trump's joint address to Congress last year, though more than 60 Democrats boycotted Trump's inauguration.
This year, boycotts appear to be spiking.
Here's a running tally of those skipping the address. (Source: The Hill)

- Father, we are saddened to read this report. We thank You for President Trump, as he obeys the Constitution and visits Congress to deliver his State of the Union address. In refusing to attend this event, these ten members (and perhaps more by tomorrow night), are in reality defying the law of the land. We understand that even one of our Supreme Court Justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, has also chosen not to be present. We ask You to forgive all, for they know not what they do. May each one be delivered from darkness to know Your glorious light. In Your name, amen.

ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS' NAME
"God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:9-11)

Lyrics
All hail the power of Jesus' Name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all. Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.
Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre, and as they tune it, fall Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all. Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye morning stars of light, who fixed this floating ball; Now hail the strength of Israel's might, and crown Him Lord of all. Now hail the strength of Israel's might, and crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God, who from His altar call; Extol the Stem of Jesse's Rod, and crown Him Lord of all. Extol the Stem of Jesse's Rod, and crown Him Lord of all.
Ye seed of Israel's chosen race, ye ransomed from the fall, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all. Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all.
Hail Him, ye heirs of David's line, whom David Lord did call, The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all, The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all.
Sinners, whose love can ne'er forget the wormwood and the gall, Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all. Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all.
Let every tribe and every tongue before Him prostrate fall And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all. And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all.

One of the most dramatic instances of [this hymn's] use was found in the experience of the Rev. E. P. Scott in India. His friends had urged him not to venture near a certain barbarous inland tribe, whom he wished to evangelize. But he went forth with high courage, never wavering in his duty, and trusting in God to protect him. When at last he reached their country among the hills, he came upon a company of these savages. Immediately they surrounded him, pointing their spears at him with threatening scowls. He had nothing in his hand but his violin; and so, closing his eyes, he began to play and sing, "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name." When at last he opened his eyes he expected to be killed instantly. But his life had been spared through the singing of the hymn. Their spears had dropped, and they received him first with curiosity and interest, and then later with eagerness, as he told them the gospel story and won their hearts to the will of Jesus Christ.
Signs and Wonders
Massive number of earthquakes still hitting Kodiak Alaska - now shocks slam Oregon, Nevada
AMERICA is holding its breath fearing the BIG ONE after the north-west continued to be hit by multiple earthquakes today after a massive 7.9 magnitude quake sparked major tsunami warnings across the state on Thursday.
Quakes were hitting both Alsaka and mainland USA hourly and they were seemingly mirrored in Japan and the Philippines.
The zones are all on the terrifying Ring of Fire - a system of highly active tectonic plates in the Earth's crust which are continually crashing into each other sparking the quakes.
Currently the movement is slight and the earthquakes manageable - but the plates are so massive that even a slight increase in intensity will spark earthquakes capable of levelling cities.
The USA's Rocky Mountains, which run down the west coast, were formed by this massive tectonic activity. (UK Telegraph) Read more.

Persecuted Christian Firefighter Wins His Day in Court:
"Terrific" Victory in Washington State
The Washington State Supreme Court today ruled in favor of a former Spokane fire captain who was fired for refusing to self-censor his religious expression. The court held that the Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) committed unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination when it admonished and ultimately terminated Sprague. At issue were the SVFD's e-mail and electronic bulletin board systems. The bulletin board had been used by other employees to seek babysitting and sell concert tickets, but supervisors ordered Sprague not to announce religious meetings via the same forum. The SVFD had also shared newsletters by e-mail dealing with social topics like substance abuse and conflicts with children, but Sprague's attempts to share Biblical perspectives on the same topics got him fired. About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
Friends may participate by receiving our daily prayer alerts. You may contact us at chpp1994@gmail.com for more information. CHPP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
