2. Pence in Jerusalem: Proud to be in Israel's capital - World Israel News

"I've had the privilege over the years of standing here with hundreds of world leaders and welcoming them, all of them to Israel's capital, Jerusalem," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a welcoming ceremony for US Vice President Mike Pence at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem Monday.

However, he added, "this is the first time that I'm standing when both leaders can say those three words, 'Israel's capital, Jerusalem.'"

Netanyahu added that he looks forward to discussing with his guest "how to further strengthen our remarkable alliance-it's never been stronger-and how to advance peace and security in our region, which is our common aim." (Read more)

3. Pence: 'Dawn of a new era' of renewed peace negotiations - World Israel News

Pence said he was grateful to be representing Trump and that his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital would "create an opportunity to move on in good faith negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority on issues that can be discussed, and [which] President Trump truly believes can be resolved."

The vice president also expressed hope that "we are at the dawn of a new era of renewed discussions to achieve a peaceful resolution to a decades-long conflict that has affected this region."

"I thank you for your leadership. I thank you for your hospitality. And it's my great honor to call you a friend," Pence concluded.(Read more)

4. U.S. Embassy Invites Israeli Settler Leaders to Attend Pence's Knesset Speech - Haaretz

Leaders of the West Bank settler movement received personal invitations from the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv to attend Vice President Mike Pence's speech Monday in the Knesset, a spokesman for the organization that lobbies on their behalf confirmed.

Arutz Sheva, the settler-aligned news website that first reported settler leaders would be attending the speech, said such an invitation was unprecedented.

David Friedman, the U.S. ambassador to Israel and former lawyer for U.S. President Donald Trump, is a staunch supporter of the settler movement. Before assuming his diplomatic position, he served as president of an organization that fundraises in the United States for the settlement of Beit El. Trump himself has donated to Beit El. 5. Pence Says Jewish Blessing for Auspicious Occasion at Knesset - Breaking Israel News

US Vice President Mike Pence's address to the Knesset began with Arab lawmakers shouting in protest but that did not stop Pence from giving a benediction.

In Hebrew, Pence recited the second half of the traditional blessing that is recited on auspicious and joyous occasions known as "Shecheyanu." The blessing praises God, referring to him as One "who has granted us life, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this occasion."

Pence also addressed the uniqueness of the Jewish people, referring to the nation as the "the people of the book" and recognizing the "wisdom of the Hebrew bible." The Vice President also said that the story of the Jewish people "shows the power of faith."

"The Jewish people held fast to a promise through all the ages written so long that even if you'd been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there he would gather and bring you back to the land that your fathers possessed," he said.

In an apparent expression of awe at the story of the state of Israel, Pence asked rhetorically in reference to Isaiah 66:8, "can a country be born in a day, can a nation be born in a moment?" (Read more)

6. Pence: US Embassy To Move To Jerusalem By The End Of Next Year - Breaking Israel News

US Vice President Mike Pence received a standing ovation from Israeli lawmakers, as he declared the US to be proud to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital adding that the US embassy in Tel Aviv will move to Jerusalem by the end of next year.

"The US Embassy will open [in Jerusalem] before the end of next year," Pence said in his remarks.

Netanyahu, for his part, said that this historic recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, will go down in Jewish history as "one of the most formative declarations" alongside the Balfour declaration, 1947 Partition Plan, and US President Truman's recognition of Israel in 1948.

"America has no greater friend than Israel and Israel has no greater friend than America," Netanyahu concluded. (Read more)

- Father, we read these reports with tears of joy at what You are doing now in and for the nation of Israel, through the words of Your servant, Mike Pence. We ask that every blessing You have for him would be realized, as He has blessed Your land and Your people. Amen.

- " . . . I will bless those who bless you . . ." (Genesis 12:3a)

1. Rivlin calls on world to tear off 'mask of hypocrisy,' recognize Jerusalem - Times of Israel

President Reuven Rivlin on Monday called on countries worldwide to tear off the "mask of hypocrisy" and follow the US in recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Speaking to Israeli diplomats at his Jerusalem residence, Rivlin addressed a number of geopolitical developments that have affected Israel, first and foremost, Donald Trump's presidency.

Calling the US president a "true friend of Israel," Rivlin said he was impressed by Trump's "intentions to bring about a breakthrough in resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict and his strategic commitment to America's return to the Middle East."

Officers asked the man, in his 30s, to walk through a metal detector upon his arrival at the checkpoint. While the device did not sound an alarm, the statement from Border Police said the security forces still suspected the Palestinian and conducted a full body search.

"An initial investigation revealed that the suspect was apparently intending to carry out a stabbing attack," Border Police said.

3. Lebanon claims Mossad tried to assassinate senior Hamas figure - Israel National News

Lebanese media today claimed that the investigation into the attempted assassination of senior Hamas figure Muhammad Abu Hamza Hamdan a-week-and-a-half ago has proven that the Mossad is behind the attack, reports Maariv.According to the Al-Miyadin channel, the Mossad deployed a squad of three operatives - two men and a woman - for the operation in Lebanon. In addition, a bodyguard, according to the report, was involved in the incident and is now under arrest.

Hamdan, brother of senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan, was injured by a car explosion in the al-Bustan area in Sidon, south Lebanon, about noon a week-and-a-half ago. According to Lebanese sources, his condition is stable. However, a medical source in the city said "we had to amputate the activist's leg."

According to reports circulating in Lebanese media outlets, a bomb was attached to his car. A pall of black smoke rose above the city after his BMW caught fire following the explosion. It was also rumored that Israeli aircraft were circling the air at the time. However, senior Hamas official Ayman Shana'a curiously claimed that "Muhammad's foot injury was slight, and the car exploded before he arrived."

4. Nasrallah Warns Israel Against Continued Construction of Border Wall - Jerusalem Post

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has warned Israel against continued construction of a wall along its border with Lebanon, after Beirut said the project was undermining peace.

"After liberating the Lebanese occupied territories from the Zionist enemy in 2000, the UN demarcation of the national border with the Palestinian territories left 13 controversial positions, and the Lebanese government informed the UNIFIL about its rejection for any Israeli measure in this concern," Nasrallah was quoted by Hezbollah website al-Manar as saying.

"The Islamic Resistance backs the Lebanese government and army, and the Zionists must take Lebanon's warning seriously," he said.

5. Coalition 'crisis' in Netanyahu government is 'just electioneering,' says political analyst - World Israel News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had little time to relax when he returned home from a six-day trip to India. Not only did he have to prepare for the visit of US Vice President Mike Pence, but he also had to manage an apparent full- blown coalition crisis with Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman slugging it out in a verbal brawl over the mini-market law.

Political Scientist Prof. Avrum Diskin of the Hebrew University told World Israel News (WIN), "Early elections are not in the interest of any of the coalition parties. Liberman clearly needed to appease his voters, but if we listen carefully to his words, he is more extreme than usual in his pronouncements, and it's the kind of language that could ignite a real crisis. Liberman has made mistakes in the past and this could be another. But I believe he is just trying to make a statement to his base by saying his Yisrael Beiteinu party is the real secular-right party, and not Netanyahu's Likud, which allows the ultra-orthodox to get its way."

1. Senate breaks Dem filibuster, clearing way to end government shutdown - Fox News

The Senate on Monday voted 81-18 to break a Democratic filibuster on a stalled government spending bill, clearing the way for Congress to approve the stopgap measure and end the three-day government shutdown.

Democrats effectively backed off their opposition, after being given assurances from majority Republicans. Before the vote, Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer made clear that Democrats would supply the GOP-controlled Senate with the votes needed, in exchange for "fair" and immediate efforts to consider legislation that would protect illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children. It was a stark contrast from his position just a few days ago. (Read more)

2. 'Worse Than Watergate': 'Shocking' House Intel Memo Allegedly Reveals FISA Abuse by Senior DOJ and FBI Officials - Breitbart

Members of the House on Thursday said they viewed a "shocking" classified memo allegedly detailing abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by senior Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigations officials in relation to the investigation of the Trump campaign and called for it to be declassified and available to the public immediately.

"It's troubling. It is shocking," Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) told Fox News. "Part of me wishes that I didn't read it because I don't want to believe that those kinds of things could be happening in this country that I call home and love so much."

"The facts contained in this memo are jaw-dropping and demand full transparency. There is no higher priority than the release of this information to preserve our democracy," said Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a member of the Judiciary Committee, which oversees the DOJ and the FBI.

Another Judiciary Committee member, Rep. Steve King (R-IA), called what he saw in the memo "sickening" and said it was "worse than Watergate." (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You cause this memo to be released to the American people so that they may see what horrific things have been perpetrated by the DOJ and FBI. This is part of "draining the swamp"- that all evil actions be revealed to the Light.

- "Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." (Matthew 10:26)

3. COINCIDENCE? Months Of Texts Between Anti-Trump FBI Agents Staffed On Collusion Case Lost In 'Technical Glitch'- Daily Wire

The coincidences just keep piling up. Back in December, we learned that the Robert Mueller special investigation into supposed Russian election collusion with the Trump campaign had relied on the tender ministrations of FBI agent Peter Strzok. Then we learned that Strzok was involved in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, had been involved in launching the Trump investigation, and was staffed on it. Then he was fired after text messages emerged between himself and mistress and co-worker Lisa Page, who was also part of the Trump-Russia probe.

Now, we've learned that Strzok and Page sent each other messages suggesting they knew before the FBI had even reported to then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch about Clinton that Clinton would be exonerated. On July 1, 2016, Lynch announced that she would do whatever then-FBI Director James Comey wanted her to do; that announcement followed a tarmac meeting in Arizona between Lynch and Bill Clinton. (Read more)

- Father, these "accidental losses" are happening too often with critical things- from deletion of Hillary's emails to loss of text messages. We pray for truth to be revealed, for Light to be shone upon what has up to now been hidden in the darkness.

- "Oh, send out Your Light and Your truth! Let them lead me . . ." (Psalm 43:3)

4. DOJ to Retry Menendez on Corruption Charges - Free Beacon

The Department of Justice announced Friday that it will retry Sen. Bob Menendez (D., N.J.) on federal corruption charges after the case ended last year in a mistrial. The department has charged Menendez with 12 counts of corruption, filing a brief in Newark, New Jersey federal court to announce its plan, the New York Times reports. Six of the counts against Menendez are for bribery, three are for honest services fraud, and his close friend Salomon Melgen is again a co-defendant in the trial.

"The United States files this notice of intent to retry the defendants and requests that the Court set the case for retrial at the earliest possible date," the brief reads. "Defendants Robert Menendez and Salomon Melgen have been indicted for bribery and corruption by two separate grand juries properly empaneled in the District of New Jersey." Menendez has maintained his innocence and even declared his mistrial in November to be deliverance from "unjust prosecution." He is also up for reelection in 2018, and has not announced any plans to retire. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You that the corruption in New Jersey is being tackled again after a mistrial. WE ask that this time You will be present in the proceedings that they will be done correctly.

- "Trouble will come to him who seeks evil." (Proverbs 11:27b)

5. How homicide charges for two skippers will shake up the entire Navy - Navy Times

The Navy's decision to level criminal charges against the commanding officers of the destroyers Fitzgerald and John S. McCain is forcing the surface warfare world into a grim reckoning on how it operates, and the consequences of sailors dying on a leader's watch. The Navy announced on Jan. 16 that negligent homicide charges will be sought against Fitz CO Cmdr. Bryce Benson, and McCain CO Cmdr. Alfredo Sanchez, for their roles in the deaths of 17 sailors in the Pacific last summer.

The unprecedented move sets in motion a military justice proceeding that will begin with a preliminary hearing known as an Article 32, which will evaluate the evidence and determine whether to send the officers to court-martial. (Read more)

- Father, this unprecedented action is a huge punishment for the deaths of those sailors. WE pray that You will move in these commander's hearts and lives, giving them peace. We ask that all involved, from the Military justice system to the men who have been charged would come to know You as Savior.

- "I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace." (Psalm 85:8)

6. Neighbor who tackled Rand Paul charged with felony assault - Washington Examiner

Rene Boucher, Sen. Rand Paul's neighbor, was charged with assaulting a member of Congress for tackling Paul to the ground after witnessing him stack brush onto a pile in November. The charge is a felony under federal law, and Boucher, 58, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Indiana announced Friday. "Assaulting a member of Congress is an offense we take very seriously," Josh Minkler, the U.S. attorney, said.

Boucher allegedly tackled Paul, R-Ky., while he was mowing his lawn, wearing headphones. Boucher, a retired anesthesiologist, allegedly saw Paul stack brush onto a pile near his own property, and "had enough." The incident left Paul with six broken ribs and fluid buildup around his lungs. Boucher signed a plea agreement, though he hasn't yet entered his guilty plea. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord that the charges against this man were adjusted from a simple misdemeanor based on the injuries. We ask that You move in this man's heart to find You, and stand strongly with all legislators who may be in the crosshairs of hate from the opposition.

- "You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked." (Psalm 97:10)

7. California to register illegal aliens to vote - automatically - WND

California will take the next step in blurring the lines between citizens and non-citizens beginning April Fool's Day when the state complies with a court order to begin automatically registering to vote all those who are granted driver's licenses.

The state has long provided driver's licenses to all who simply claimed, without proof, that they were citizens of in the country legally. There were no checks made or documentation required.

But beginning April 1 every person who gets a California driver's license will be automatically entitled to vote. "We are very pleased that Californians will have easier access to voter registration," said Jeremiah Levine, an attorney with Morrison Foerster who represented the voting-rights groups. "We are especially satisfied that changes will be made before California's statewide and federal primary elections." (Read more)

- Lord, we feel a sense of outrage over allowing people who are not citizens and aren't even supposed to be in the US , to vote in our elections. We pray for a major move of Your Spirit over the people of California, and bring sanity to the state.

- "But fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7b)

8. Texas high school [shooting] leaves 1 student wounded; suspect in custody, police say- Fox News

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the flu that is blanketing every state except Hawaii is growing more intense and deadly. So far this season, the flu has claimed the lives of at least 30 children, according to the latest CDC report. (Read more)

- Lord, we take authority over this flu that is raging across the nation and we bind it in the Mighty Name of Jesus. We loose Your Blood, the healing power of the Cross over all who are sick and all who are recovering, that Your Name be glorified among us all.

- ". . . whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 16:18b)

10. Iran Says Warplanes Warned Off 2 Western Vessels during Drill - Jerusalem Post

Iranian warplanes warned off two "coalition vessels" during military drill in waters off the country's southeast, a senior naval officer said, in the latest confrontation between Iranian and Western forces that patrol the Gulf.

The vessels approached the area of the drills early on Monday to monitor Iranian ships, said Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, spokesman for the drills, according to Tasnim news agency.

"Iranian drones identified the vessels, then Iranian planes flew over them and gave them a warning. The vessels left the area," he was quoted as saying.

The Iranian army launched two days of exercises on Monday involving ground, naval and air forces in the country's south and southeast, near the Makran Coast, and other areas in the Gulf of Oman.

There have been periodic confrontations between the Iranian and US military in the Gulf - a major trade route for oil - in recent years. (Read more)

- Lord, we call forth a hedge of protection over the men and women on our ships and planes that may run afoul of Iran. We ask that You move mightily among the Iranian people, changing hearts and dissolving the actions that place them in jeopardy.

- "Fill their faces with shams, that they may seek Your name, O Lord." (Psalm 83:16)

Government god Shutdown

In October 2013, Democrats were blaming Republicans for the government. Then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid gave a lesson on the essence of socialist health care. CNN's Dana Bash, questioning why the Senate would not pass House bills for temporary funding of various programs during the government shutdown such as children's cancer research, asked, "If you can help one child, why won't you do it?" Reid's response was an emphatic: "'Why, why, why would we want to do that? This time, there is no mention of the consequences of a government shutdown affecting the National Institute of Health and refusing cancer treatment to children. Today's shutdown would do the same, but that disappears when it's a Democrat idea.

Republicans now insist that Democrats forced a shutdown of the government over illegal immigration. The general narrative is that the Democrats prefer illegal non-citizens over the national security of legal citizens. It's a classic standoff where this nonsense showcases the ineptitude and hypocrisy among elected officials. At the end of the day, they believe the leviathan called government must be well fed and operational because it is far more important than a mere child's life, illegal immigrants or the security of the nation itself. This is the DNA of the vast majority of Democrats and of many Republicans because they are socialists and communists--not Constitutional Americans. Through their lens, government is god.

News reporters and their "go to" people on the street were all weepy that the government was shut down. What were they to do? Just the anticipation of Washington, DC as a virtual ghost town was enough to throw most into a state of shock. I went to the window this morning and looked out. The red outline of the mountains told me that the sun was coming up. The electric was still on. People were driving. Kids were getting ready to go to school. The only threat of communist takeover was if certain politicians came back to work. If millions of people are sitting at home as non-essential government personnel, isn't government too big? Could small business do more for less? Maybe we should move in a different direction.

Exodus 20:3 says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." In 2013, Reid and the Democrats blamed Republicans for the possible deaths of children because closing government would result in a shutdown of the National Institute of Health. Now, these same moral crusaders don't even recognize that possibility because the government shutdown is their idea. Irrespective of political party, most of the politicians in Washington worship government. Now, instead of Reid, it's Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) reading from the same script, different page. But the real story is that this is not about health care, immigration, or security. It's about power. It's about government as god, and who has power when god is shut down.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Here comes a 'super blue blood moon eclipse'

Biblical signs expert Mark Biltz explains what it could herald

Blood moons and eclipses have come and gone. But the signs of the times are getting more ominous than ever.

As if the total solar eclipse last August and the "blood moons" of 2014 and 2015 weren't enough, there will be a "super blue blood moon eclipse" on Jan. 31 - something that hasn't happened for 150 years.

And this rare event could herald war and turbulence on earth, according to a leading researcher of astronomical signs and how they interact with Scripture.

Rather than just looking skyward, Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, the man who discovered the "Blood Moons" phenomenon, says people need to be looking to their Bibles.

"Many people seem to be overlooking the real importance of this event," Biltz told WND. "The 'super moon' which takes place on January 31 is what is termed a 'blue moon,' because it is the second full moon in one month. It's also going to be a total lunar eclipse, making it a 'blood moon' as well. This is the first time there's been a total eclipse for a blue moon in 150 years, which makes it remarkable enough.

"But what makes this truly mind blowing is when this will happen biblically! The eclipse will take place on Tu B'Shevat on the biblical calendar, the fifteenth day of the month of Shevat. This is important because this upcoming eclipse is only one of a series. The next one is on July 27, which is Tu B'Av or the fifteenth of Av on the biblical calendar. The next one is January 21, 2019 - which just so happens to be Tu B'Shevat again!"

Biltz, author of "God's Day Timer," stresses he is not saying anything will happen on Jan. 31, the date of this blood moon. However, he argues the specific dates involved show God is sending an important message.

"These are very significant biblical dates, and now we have two blood red moons bookending each other in 2018 and 2019 on Tu B'Shevat," he said. "This is fascinating prophetically because there is a section of Scripture in which Zechariah receives a revelation of a red horse being given a great sword to take peace from the Earth. And this takes place in the month of Shevat!"

Truck Driver Blows Whistle on Sex Trafficking Scheme at Virginia Gas Station;

Helps to Free 20-year-old Victim

A truck driver in Virginia is being hailed a hero after he blew the whistle on a morbid situation that rescued a starved and battered 20-year-old sex slave at a gas station.

Kevin Kimmel was parked at a Pilot gas station outside of Richmond, Virginia when he noticed an RV parked with black drapes covering the windows.

"I saw what looked like a young girl looking out the window," Kevin told WTVR. "The black drapes didn't make it look like a family's RV, you know."

He said he watched as a guy walked over to the RV, knocked on the door, then went inside the gas station. It wasn't long before he returned to the camper, knocked on the door again and entered the vehicle.

"All of a sudden, the thing was rocking and rolling."

Kevin has daughters and granddaughters. He said it didn't take but a second glance to connect the dots.

The truck driver quickly dialed 911 and alerted authorities, which led to a full-fledged FBI investigation of an Iowa couple: 36-year-old Aldair Hodza and 31-year-old Laura Sorensen.

It was only in the news reports that followed when Kevin learned of the gruesome conditions the 20-year-old girl had endured.
Kevin's bold decision to act on the "bad vibe" he got from the RV led to the freeing of a victim of human trafficking-IN RICHMOND, VIRGINIA.

This wasn't overseas, this wasn't in a third-world country. This happened in our backyards, on our homeland, on this girl's vacation. And it's happening this very second, right where you're at. It serves as a reminder for each of us to stop and take notice of the things around us.

Be aware of red flags, and educate yourself on how to identify possible victims of human trafficking.

As for Kevin, he just says he's happy he was able to help this innocent woman.
