1. Liberman will 'make own offer' to PM and Gantz if no breakthrough by Yom Kippur - Times Of Israel

Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu party on Wednesday said it would "present its own offer" to the country's two largest rival parties if they fail to reach a power-sharing agreement by next week.

"The last thing the country needs now is new elections," the party said in a statement, adding that a third vote was unlikely to significantly alter the political landscape. "We must reach a rational solution and leave all personal considerations and ego aside," Liberman told party colleagues. "If by Yom Kippur [next Tuesday evening] there is no breakthrough, Yisrael Beytenu will present its own offer to the two factions [Likud and Blue and White]."

2. Report: Netanyahu interested in merging with New Right - Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is discussing the possibility of merging the Likud and the New Right into a single Knesset faction, Kan 11 News reported on Wednesday.

The discussions on the matter, Netanyahu's associates said, began shortly after the last election. This may explain why Netanyahu quickly made a phone call to Naftali Bennett following the election, despite tense relations between the two.

Bennett and Ayelet Shaked, the co-leaders of the New Right, are not liked by the Netanyahu family, but it turns out that the Likud actually sees them as an electoral asset.

3. On 1st day of hearing, PM's defense presents hundreds of pages of 'new evidence' - Times Of Israel

The first day of the pre-indictment hearing in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's criminal cases stretched into the late hours Wednesday night, with discussions ending around 9:30 p.m., over 11 hours after they began.

Spokesmen for the prime minister said Wednesday night the defense team presented state prosecution officials with new arguments and fresh evidence in the cases, which they asserted "completely contradict the claims in the charge sheet."

Officials in the state prosecution told Channel 12, however, that they were not surprised by the evidence and arguments presented by the defense, and were familiar with most of the material.

The day's session focused on Case 4000, also known as the Bezeq case, which involves suspicions that Netanyahu, while serving as communications minister, made regulatory decisions that benefited Shaul Elovitch, then controlling shareholder of the Bezeq telecommunications group, in return for ongoing positive coverage on Elovitch's Walla news site. Netanyahu faces prosecution for fraud and trust, and bribery, in this case - the most serious of the three against him.

4. Israeli Arabs Convene to Discuss Unprecedented Violence, Blame Police, Government - Jewish Press

The Higher Arab Monitoring Committee which convened on Wednesday in the village of Majd al-Krum Majd al-Krum in the Upper Galilee in response to the double murder that took place Tuesday in the same village, is examining a series of protests, including declaring a general strike on Thursday and a rally in front of police headquarters.

Since the start of 2019, there have been more than 70 Arab-on-Arab murders in Israel. The Higher Arab Monitoring Committee is an independent political organization whose aim is to coordinate the political actions of various Israeli-Arab bodies. The Committee is comprised of Arab MKs, Arab local council heads and representatives of different streams in the Arab sector.

5. With 107% Increase in Incidents Targeting Jews Over Last Year, Antisemitic Attitudes in Argentina Run Deep, New Report Finds - Algemeiner

A decline in historical awareness alongside rising hate speech posted online were the two key factors behind an astonishing 107-percent rise in antisemitic offenses in Argentina during 2018, a top community official said on Wednesday.

"The main causes of these antisemitic reactions we believe have to do with the loss of collective memory, due to the increase in hate speech and anonymity in social networks," Jorge Knoblovits - the president of DAIA, the umbrella group representing Argentina's 180,000-strong Jewish community - remarked at a press conference in Buenos Aires.

Knoblovits was speaking at the unveiling of DAIA's annual report on antisemitism in Argentina. Data collected in 2018 revealed a total of 834 incidents targeting Jews - an increase of 107 percent on the 404 incidents registered the previous year in the Latin American nation.

An accompanying report on attitudes toward Jews in Argentina - compiled by the Gino Germani Institute of the University of Buenos Aires - meanwhile demonstrated the endurance of antisemitic stereotypes about Jewish wealth and influence.

1. House Democrats prep White House subpoena, as Trump calls BS on impeachment push - FoxNews

The impeachment war between President Trump and House Democrats escalated dramatically on Wednesday as committee leaders prepared to subpoena the White House for documents and both sides traded fiery accusations.

At a press conference held minutes after the draft subpoena was released, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., blasted Trump for his statements decrying the Ukraine whistleblower and his or her sources. Pelosi described Trump's statements as "dangerous." Schiff called them a "blatant effort to intimidate witnesses" and an "incitement to violence." He also warned the Trump administration his investigators are "not fooling around."

Trump, for his part, essentially live-tweeted his responses to the press conference assertions, arguing that Democrats are wasting time and using impeachment as a campaign tool. "It is just camouflage for trying to win an election through impeachment," he tweeted, before calling BS on Democrats' impeachment inquiry, "The Do Nothing Democrats should be focused on building up our Country, not wasting everyone's time and energy on BULLS---, which is what they have been doing ever since I got overwhelmingly elected in 2016, 223-306. Get a better candidate this time, you'll need it!"

2. Bernie Sanders hospitalized for blocked artery, campaign events canceled - ABC News

Sen. Bernie Sanders, 78, was hospitalized Tuesday night in Las Vegas. "During a campaign event yesterday evening, Sen. Sanders experienced some chest discomfort. Following medical evaluation and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted," said Sanders' senior adviser Jeff Weaver on Wednesday in a statement.

"Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days," Weaver said. "We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates." Sanders remains hospitalized, a source told ABC News.

Sanders is one of three septuagenarians in the Democratic primary, and the oldest. Former Vice President Joe Biden is 76. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is 70. President Donald Trump, who was the oldest elected president, is 73.

3. Trump Declares Victory After A Judge Blocked California's Attempt To Keep Him Off The Ballot - Daily Caller

President Donald Trump declared victory Wednesday after a judge blocked a California law keeping his name off the state's ballot ahead of the 2020 election.

Judge Morrison England Jr. officially blocked the law Tuesday, giving the president a victory pending a California appeal. California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, a Democrat, announced plans Tuesday night to appeal the decision - the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals will likely preside over the appeal process.

The law, passed in July, would have required any candidate running for president to submit tax forms from the past five years. "The Act's provisions likely violate the Constitution and the laws of the United States," he said in his decision.

4. Trump wins biggest-ever WTO ruling, opening the door for $7.5 billion worth of tariffs on Europe - Business Insider

The World Trade Organization on Wednesday gave the US the go-ahead to slap roughly $7.5 billion worth of tariffs on the EU on aircraft parts and luxury goods. The award is the largest in WTO history, nearly doubling the previous record set in 2002.

The long-awaited ruling comes as Trump had been looking to step up his trade war with the EU, having already hit the trade bloc with 25% tariff on steel and has threatened a $75 billion tariff on autos from Europe.

The WTO ruling now means that goods such as cheese, linen and swordfish will become more expensive to export to the US, as well as aircraft part prices going up. The EU's own hike in tariffs will be ruled upon by the WTO early next year so it will be a while until the trade bloc can match Trump's trade war.

5. US halts import of goods that may have been made with forced labor - The Hill

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) this week barred the import of goods from five countries in an attempt to curb forced labor abroad. CBP declared it would halt the import of a series of products, including rough diamonds, gold and disposable rubber gloves that come from China, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Brazil.

"A major part of CBP's mission is facilitating legitimate trade and travel," said acting CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan. "If we suspect a product is made using forced labor, we'll take that product off U.S. shelves."

"CBP is firmly committed to identifying and preventing products made with the use of forced labor from entering the stream of U.S. Commerce. The effort put into investigating these producers highlights CBP's priority attention on this issue. Our agency works tirelessly behind the scenes to investigate and gather information on forced labor in global supply chains."

6. U.N. Quietly Helping Ship Migrants in Mexico Back to Central America, Activists Furious - Washington Sentinel

The United Nations has quietly begun helping to send back to Central America the tens of thousands of illegal migrants that made their way to northern Mexico and migrants "rights" activists are furious.

A United Nations agency has begun removing migrants via bus and air with funding provided by the U.S. Department of State, according to the Los Angeles Times. Reporting from Juarez, Mexico, the Times said that buses chartered by the U.N.'s International Organization for Migration were loaded with illegal immigrants from Guatemala and then they were put on the road home.

The program, called Assisted Voluntary Return, is open to those migrants who decide that they have waited long enough to get into the U.S. only to be rejected, so they are ready to go back. The program is funded by $1.65 million in American taxpayer cash and is expected to expand to other Mexican cities. "We'll continue as long as there is a need and people are seeking assistance returning home," said Christopher Gascon, the U.S.'s chief of mission in Mexico.

7. 3 Obama Judges Deliver String of Losses to Trump's Agenda on Illegal Immigration - Daily Signal

In a span of several hours Friday, a judge in California ruled against the administration's plan to detain migrant families indefinitely, another California judge blocked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from relying solely on databases when issuing detainer requests, and shortly before midnight, a D.C. judge barred fast-track removals of illegal aliens.

The Trump administration hit back hard against the string of rulings. "For two and a half years, the Trump administration has been trying to restore enforcement of the immigration laws passed by Congress. And for two and a half years, misguided lower court decisions have been preventing those laws from ever being enforced-at immense cost to the whole country," White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement over the weekend.

The Department of Justice sent out three different public statements Friday, bemoaning each of the decisions that rolled back the immigration directives. "The district court's decision squarely conflicts with that express grant of authority and vastly exceeds the district court's own authority. This ruling undermines the laws enacted by Congress and the Trump administration's careful efforts to implement those laws," a Justice Department spokesman said about the ruling on expedited removal.

8. Leaking classified information is 'thievery, not protected speech,' Justice Department says - SFGate

A contractor accused of leaking classified information engaged in "thievery, not protected speech," and has no First Amendment grounds to challenge his Espionage Act prosecutions, the Justice Department said in an Alexandria federal court filing.

Former intelligence analyst Daniel Hale shared National Security Agency details of drone warfare with the website The Intercept, according to an indictment filed in May. His defense attorneys argued last month that the law was designed to deal with spies, not leakers, and that the prosecution runs afoul of the First Amendment by chilling newsgathering and implicating the reporter who received the information.

"While spies typically pass classified national defense information to a specific foreign government, leakers, through the internet, distribute such information without authorization to the entire world," prosecutors wrote. "Such broad distribution of unauthorized disclosures may actually amplify the potential damage to the national security in that every country gains access to the compromised intelligence."

9. Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks Georgia Abortion Ban, Pro-Life Administration Says It Remains 'Confident' - Daily Caller

A federal judge temporarily blocked Georgia's abortion ban Tuesday. U.S. District Judge Steve Jones temporarily blocked the implementation of the law, which was scheduled to go into effect Jan. 1. Jones's actions follow a June lawsuit from the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, and the Center for Reproductive Rights, according to WSB-TV Atlanta.

Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed H.B. 481, the "fetal heartbeat bill," in March. It outlaws abortions in Georgia after a fetal heartbeat is detected and makes exceptions in cases of rape and incest if the woman files a police report, and when the mother's health is at risk.

"We are currently reviewing Judge Jones' decision," Candice Broce, director of communications and deputy executive counsel for Kemp, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. "Despite today's outcome, we remain confident in our position. We will continue to fight for the unborn and work to ensure that all Georgians have the opportunity to live, grow, and prosper."

10. Planned Parenthood Announces Secret Mega Facility In Illinois - Daily Caller

Planned Parenthood has built a secret Illinois mega facility by using a shell company, the organization announced Wednesday. The nation's largest abortion provider reportedly worked in secret to create the 18,000-square-foot clinic.

Missouri's last abortion clinic is 13 miles away from the new facility and may be shut down due to failure to comply with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services' requirements.

"We were really intentional and thoughtful about making sure that we were able to complete this project as expeditiously as possible because we saw the writing on the wall - patients need better access, so we wanted to get it open as quickly as we could," Colleen McNicholas, the chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, said during an interview with CBS News.

Schiff Happens

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) is under fire for purposely fabricating with his own version President Trump's transcript with the President of Ukraine. In his opening statement for the House Intelligence Committee hearing, Schiff read a false narrative of the transcript at the epicenter of the Democratic Party's impeachment accusations. Schiff said, "And what is the President's response-well it reads like a classic organized crime shake down. In essence, what the President Trump communicates is this." Then he fabricated the conversation. After the soundbites and media rush to publish, Schiff later said he meant to be "at least part" in parody. Schiff's ethics already are under fire.

In March, Judicial Watch, an educational foundation that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics, and the law, filed an official complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics about Schiff's controversial contacts and communications with two congressional witnesses: Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS and Michael Cohen, President Trump's former personal lawyer. The complaint asked that Schiff be investigated about his meeting with Simpson in Aspen, Colorado, in July 2018 and that he and his staff coordinated with Michael Cohen on Cohen's testimony to congressional committees. Cohen's testimony is alleged to be false in several important respects, according to Judicial Watch.
Judicial Watch filed a previous ethics complaint on April 13, 2018, against Schiff and Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) for improperly confirming classified information in violation of House rules, but the Committee has yet to take any public action on the complaint. "Rep. Schiff has an ethics problem. His and his staff's irregular communications with anti-Trump witnesses reflect poorly on the credibility of the House and its committees' investigations," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "It has long been apparent that Rep. Schiff can't be trusted to lead the Intelligence Committee, so we hope that Democrats on the Ethics Committee stop protecting Mr. Schiff and take action."
Schiff is just one example in many of how unethical politics is deeply rooted within the branches of government. There is a lot of discussion among the media pundits about Trump calling this impeachment inquiry a "coup" attempt. He is being ridiculed for his remarks. This entire continuum reaching back to Fusion GPS, the Obama FISA request to spy on the Trump transition team, the Mueller investigation, and the blatant statements of people, such as Hillary Clinton, that Trump is an illegitimate president all lead to the conclusion of an ongoing attempt to remove the president from office. The impeachment is just one legal way that they are now trying. Psalm 94:16 asks, "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers?" Who will rise up for our nation against the evildoers? Let us stand together for justice. If Schiff happens, let's flush it!

Breaking News

BREAKING: 'Whistleblower' colluded with House Democrats before making complaint

As President Donald J. Trump joined Finland President Sauli Niinistö for a joint press conference this afternoon, he was handed a breaking news article published by The New York Times. The story is damning for House Democrats: Impeachment czar and Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) knew about the "whistleblower's" complaint against President Trump before he or she made it.

"The federal intelligence community whistleblower law explicitly states intelligence community whistleblowers must formally go through the ICIG [Inspector General of the Intelligence Community] *before* contacting Congress," Federalist cofounder Sean Davis writes on Twitter.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) adds that Rep. Schiff "withheld this info from the American people" and even from the House Intelligence Committee. "In light of this news, it's hard to view impeachment as anything aside from an orchestrated farce."

Legitimate whistleblowers do this country an important service, President Trump says. But when these laws are exploited for raw partisan politics, it makes a mockery of the entire process. The damage being done to public trust in government is enormous.

President Trump's advice

President Trump's advice: Read the transcript!

Last week, House Democrats chose to open an impeachment inquiry into Trump before they even investigated the alleged "quid pro quo" and "cover-up" in his phone call with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky. That decision will haunt Democrats for months if not years to come.

The very next day, President Trump foiled their gambit by releasing the full, unredacted transcript of his telephone conversation. You can read it here.

The President wants all Americans to read the transcript for themselves. Congressional Democrats do not. That alone reveals their stunning error in judgment. The far left may not care what the truth is, but most American citizens expect Congress to do its homework before trying to remove a duly elected President from office. It didn't.

It explains why Rep. Adam Schiff read a fake, "parody" transcript of the call before the House Intelligence Committee last week. It explains why Democrats have quickly moved on to demanding other transcripts and documents, hoping to distract from the fact that the entire basis of their impeachment inquiry was proven to be false in a matter of hours.

The problem is that, once again, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has overpromised and underdelivered. Democrats do not have the votes to remove President Trump from office. Even if they did, a majority of Americans oppose impeachment. Democrat leaders know this. But since they've used investigations as an excuse to obstruct bipartisan legislation for nearly 3 years, they eventually had to deliver something for their far-left base.

It won't work, but the good news is that something positive will come from the Democrats' astonishing political incompetence. Democrats are right that Americans deserve to know the truth about corruption on the part of elected officials. With the media spotlight now on the Ukraine investigation, they're finally going to get it.

Senate Democrats pressured Ukraine last year to cooperate on the Mueller investigation into President Trump. This year, President Trump has asked Ukraine to fully cooperate with the Justice Department's investigation into the actions of former Vice President Joe Biden and his family in Ukraine.

Transparency and accountability apply to everyone. Congressional Democrats got their 2-year investigation into President Trump, which turned up nothing. Now, aided by their own impeachment stunt, Democrat leaders are coming under the same scrutiny.

That's a good thing. After all, Speaker Pelosi put it best: If there's nothing to hide, then they have nothing to worry about.

(Source: The White House)

Trump's Transparency . . .

Jason Chaffetz: Trump's transparency is driving the left nuts (and messing up their impeachment dreams)

He wasn't supposed to release the transcripts. Or the whistleblower report. He was expected to do what any president would have done - what President Obama always did. Hide the evidence.

As House Democrats rolled out their latest meticulously choreographed, perfectly timed, and broadly coordinated attack on President Trump, they weren't counting on the president's unprecedented transparency. Nobody releases a transcript of calls between heads of state. But Donald Trump did.

In the process, he screwed up the narrative. Again.

As scripted, the president was intended to (rightly) claim executive privilege and withhold the written notes of his July 25 conversation with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. That would allow House Democrats to ramp up speculation about what the president was hiding.
. . . Having been on the House Oversight Committee during the duration of the Obama presidency, I can attest that the administration fought every document request every time, releasing only the bare minimum. No excuse was too thin to withhold documents or testimony.

In contrast, President Trump did the unthinkable: he actually waived both executive privilege and attorney-client privilege for the Mueller investigation. What other president would allow his general counsel to be interviewed for more than 30 hours?

Donald Trump does. He should be winning awards for his openness and transparency. We've never seen anything like it before. And it's messing with the Democrats' narrative. (Fox News) Read more here.

The Battle Hymn of the Republic

The Battle Hymn of the Republic

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps,
His day is marching on.

I have read His fiery gospel writ in rows of burnished steel!
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you My grace shall deal!
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,"
Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him; be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me;
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free!
While God is marching on.

Classic Hymns

HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty." (Isaiah 6:3)

Lyrics
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning
Our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns
Around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,
Who was, and is, and evermore shall be.

Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name,
In earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy; merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity!

Extreme Fall Start Marked by Unusual Heat, Snow and Cold Records in the United States

- All-time record heat has occurred in parts of the East to start fall.

- Portions of the Northwest have seen record snow and cold.

- Lorenzo became a rare Category 5 in a weird location.

Extreme weather caused by a wavy jet stream has kicked off the first 10 days of fall across the United States, leading to a series of record-breaking and unusual weather events to start the new season.

Here's a look some of the weird things we've experienced so far this fall.

All-Time Record Heat For October

Daily record highs were set on several days during fall's first week in the South. Now, that has been capped off by all-time record heat for the month of October.

More than a dozen cities in the East, from upstate New York to the Florida Panhandle, set all-time October record highs on Tuesday.

Just after 1 pm EDT Wednesday, Reagan National Airport hit 97 degrees, the hottest official temperature for any October in Washington, D.C., in records going back to 1872.

Record Cold in the Northwest

On the opposite end of the spectrum, record cold temperatures have gripped parts of the Northwest to begin fall.

Great Falls, Montana, had a record number of hours with freezing temperatures to end the month of September.

Temperatures were 32 degrees or lower for 65 consecutive hours from Sept. 27-30, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). That's the city's most consecutive hours with temperatures at or below 32 degrees in the month of September in records dating to 1937.

Tuesday's low in Great Falls, Montana, was just 9 degrees, which ranks as their coldest temperature ever recorded so early in the fall season dating to 1886.

Record Snow in the Northwest

A historic snowstorm in September's final days blasted parts of the northern Rockies with heavy, wet snow and high winds, leading to power outages and tree damage.

The top snow total from the storm was 52 inches about 10 miles south of the Canadian border in Babb, Montana. Five additional locations in northwest Montana tallied up more than 40 inches of snow.

Hurricane Lorenzo the Easternmost Atlantic Category 5

Hurricanes are common in the Atlantic during early fall, but Lorenzo's intensification into a Category 5 was unusual. Lorenzo rapidly intensified Saturday from Category 3 status with estimated maximum sustained winds of 115 mph at 11 a.m. EDT to Category 5 status with winds of 160 mph just 12 hours later. This is by far the farthest east in the Atlantic Ocean any of the previous 35 Category 5 hurricanes have occurred in records dating to the 1920s.

National Hurricane Center forecaster Eric Blake noted Lorenzo became a Category 5 hurricane almost 650 miles farther east than the previous easternmost Category 5 hurricane, Hugo in 1989.

New York Jewish Museum Reveals a Shofar Kept Hidden by Prisoners of Auschwitz

The Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in New York City revealed on Monday a shofar that was hidden and blown in the Auschwitz concentration camp 75 years ago and never shown to the public before. The ram's horn, which is blown during Jewish High Holiday services, will be on display as part of the museum's traveling exhibit, "Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away." According to the museum, Chaskel Tydor, a longtime prisoner at Auschwitz responsible for organizing work details at one of the more than 40 Auschwitz subcamps, arranged for a group of prisoners to work far from the center of the camp during Rosh Hashanah in 1944 so they could pray privately, and so that the sound of the shofar would be heard without attracting unwanted attention.

In January 1945, the Germans forced prisoners on the infamous death march, and a fellow prisoner asked Tydor to safeguard the shofar, saying, "I'm going to die on this march. If you live, take this shofar. Tell them we blew the shofar at Auschwitz." Tydor survived the Holocaust and took the shofar with him to Israel and then America.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
