1. Iran Guards chief: Destroying Israel now not a dream but an 'achievable goal' - Times Of Israel
The commander of Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Monday that destroying Israel was now an "achievable goal."
Four decades on from Iran's Islamic revolution, "we have managed to obtain the capacity to destroy the impostor Zionist regime," Major General Hossein Salami was quoted saying by the IRGC's Sepah news site. "This sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no longer a dream [but] it is an achievable goal," Salami said.
The remarks were made at a biannual meeting in Tehran for commanders of the IRGC amid rising tensions between Iran and the US and its allies.

2. Netanyahu phones Gantz in 'last effort' after unity talks end without progress - Times Of Israel
Negotiations between representatives from the Likud party and its rival, Blue and White, over the possibility of forming a unity government ended early Sunday afternoon with both sides blaming the other for a lack of progress and apparent breakdown of the talks.
Likud said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would make a final attempt to reach agreements on Wednesday - the same day his pre-indictment hearing begins with the attorney general - in direct talks with his counterpart from Blue and White, Benny Gantz.
Immediately after the Sunday meeting, Blue and White released a statement saying that "regrettably, Likud is sticking to its precondition of 'Netanyahu first.' Within this framework, Likud is insistent on the 55-member bloc and on throwing around slogans with the sole aim of generating support in preparation for dragging Israel into another round of elections at the behest of Netanyahu."

3. Netanyahu and Gantz Plan to Meet After Jewish Holiday in Effort to Form Unity Government - CBN News
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White's Benny Gantz have arranged a meeting for Wednesday in the hope of forming a unity government.
The Jerusalem Post reports that negotiation teams for both parties failed to reach an agreement Sunday morning, prompting Netanyahu to call Gantz and plan another meeting.
Gantz has been in London for the Rosh Hashanah holiday, but agreed that negotiators would meet again on Wednesday morning followed by further discussion between the two leaders.

4. PM's pre-indictment hearings to be spread out over 2 weeks - Israel National News
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's pre-indictment hearing will be spread out over two weeks and will include more hours of testimony, according to reports.
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Sunday told Netanyahu's legal team that it will have more time to present defense arguments in three corruption cases against the prime minister.
The first hearings will be held on October 2 and 4, and deal solely with Case 4000, the most serious since it deals with bribery, as well as fraud and breach of trust. Case 4000 alleges that Shaul Elovitch, majority shareholder of Bezeq, received political favors for the Israeli telecommunications giant in return for favorable coverage of Netanyahu on the Walla! news website owned by the company.

5. Nasrallah: We are prepared to enter 'occupied Palestine' - Israel Hayom
The leader of the Lebanese-based terror group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, claimed over the weekend that his organization was in possession of a large amount of military intelligence on Israel and warned that his forces were prepared to enter "occupied Palestine" at any time.
"[We] are threatening them and we will enter occupied Palestine," Nasrallah was quoted by an Arabic-language daily on Friday.
"We have abundant information, unprecedented in fact, about all events and developments occurring on the enemy side, using both public and secretive measures," Nasrallah continued.
"We have very good intelligence and very good oversight," he added.

1. Schiff says agreement reached with whistleblower to testify before House committee - Fox
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said Sunday thta House lawmakers have reached an agreement with the whistleblower who filed a complaint about President Trump's July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to testify before a congressional committee.
Speaking on ABC's "This Week," Schiff said that the agreement with the whistleblower and his or her lawyers has been settled and that there are precautions being taken to protect the identity of the person amid the criticism from Trump and his allies.
"As with [acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph] Mcguire, that whistleblower will be allowed to come in without White House or DOJ lawyers to tell him or her what they can or can't say," Schiff said. "We are taking all the precautions we can to protect the whistleblower's identity," Schiff added. "With President Trump's threats, you can imagine the security concerns here." (Read more)

2. Biden campaign asks news networks to stop booking Giuliani: report -

Joe Biden's presidential campaign officials Anita Dunn and Kate Bedingfield wrote a letter to network news presidents, chief anchors and the executive producers of the Sunday shows for ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and Fox News Channel.
"We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuilani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump," the letter said. "While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation." (Read more)

3. Wall Street Democratic donors warn the party: We'll sit out, or back Trump, if you nominate Elizabeth Warren - CNBC
Democratic donors on Wall Street and in big business are preparing to sit out the presidential campaign fundraising cycle - or even back President Donald Trump - if Sen. Elizabeth Warren wins the party's nomination.
In recent weeks, CNBC spoke to several high-dollar Democratic donors and fundraisers in the business community and found that this opinion was becoming widely shared as Warren, an outspoken critic of big banks and corporations, gains momentum against Joe Biden in the 2020 race.
During the campaign, Warren has put out multiple plans intended to curb the influence of Wall Street, including a wealth tax. In July, she released a proposal that would make private equity firms responsible for debts and pension obligations of companies they buy. Trump, meanwhile, has given wealthy business leaders a helping hand with a major corporate tax cut and by eliminating regulations. (Read more)

4. Judge blocks Trump administration from enforcing new detention policy on migrant children - Fox
A federal judge in Los Angeles blocked the Trump administration Friday from enforcing rules that would allow authorities to indefinitely detaining immigrant children with their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border.
At issue is the so-called Flores Settlement Agreement, a 22-year-old consent decree that specifies how long and under what conditions underage immigrants can be detained by the government. The administration sought to withdraw from the 1997 agreement as part of a crackdown on asylum seekers arriving at the southern border.
The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services issued new rules over the summer to end the agreement and allow the federal government to license detention facilities, which would allow longer detention periods for migrant children. (Read more)

5. WWII vet's Bible at center of fight at VA - WND
A prominent religious-rights legal team is defending the Veterans Administration's placement of a Bible on a "Missing Man Table" at the Manchester Veterans Affairs Medical Center. First Liberty Institute is representing members of the Northeast POW/MIA Network in a lawsuit filed by anti-religion interests over the display.
"Our clients, who are all patriots from the New England area, sacrificed too much for this country to let some activists from thousands of miles away bully them," said Michael Berry, director of Military Affairs and chief of staff for First Liberty Institute.
"The Supreme Court recently upheld the constitutionality of religious displays with historic roots such as those commonly found in VA facilities. First Liberty will fight alongside the VA to make sure the Bible stays." (Read more)

6. Chinese parade may include glimpse at nuclear-capable missile that could reach US in 30 minutes - Fox
As Beijing apparently gets closer to matching Washington and other powers in weapons technology, China is having a parade this week that might show off its rapidly developing arsenal, which may include a nuclear-capable missile that could reach the United States in 30 minutes. The Dongfeng 41 is one of a series of new weapons Chinese media said might be unveiled during the parade marking the ruling Communist Party's 70th anniversary in power.
The parade is expected to highlight Beijing's ambition to enforce claims to Taiwan, the South China Sea and other disputed territories - and to challenge Washington as the region's dominant force.
The People's Liberation Army, the world's biggest military with 2 million men and women in uniform and the second-highest annual spending after the United States, also has been working on fighter planes, the first Chinese-built aircraft carrier and nuclear-powered submarines. (Read more)

7. UN Human Rights Council Told It Has 'Legal Obligation' to Confront China on Forced Organ Harvesting - The Epoch Times
The United Nations Human Rights Council and U.N. member states have been told that they have a "legal obligation" to confront China over its practice of forced organ harvesting of Falun Gong adherents.
Addressing the council in Geneva on Sept. 24, London-based lawyer Hamid Sabi presented the findings from a report released in June by the China Tribunal, or the Independent Tribunal Into Forced Organ Harvesting from Prisoners of Conscience in China.
The tribunal concluded beyond reasonable doubt that, "in China forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience has been practiced for a substantial period of time involving a very substantial number of victims." (Read more)

8. 'Take Back the Rainbow:' Former Transgender, Lesbian Drug Dealer's Mandate from God - CBN
In the Bible, the rainbow stands as a covenant between God and mankind. But for more than 40-years, the LGBT community has used the rainbow as a symbol of its movement. Now, one former transgender is on a mission to take it back.
Nichol Collins says while surrendering her life to God, leaving her old lifestyle was not easy. "It took me seven months to come out of men's clothes," she explains. "I didn't just jump into dresses right away and my hair was bald and so all my hair has grown back today but I didn't always feel so beautiful. I felt very awkward, but as I submitted myself to God, he began to beautify me with salvation."
After breaking free, Collins says God gave her a mandate to restore the Biblical standing of the rainbow which the gay rights movement claims as its symbol.

9. Al-Shabab extremists attack US military base in Somalia: report- Fox
Al-Shabab extremists on Monday staged an attack on a U.S. military base in Somalia, which is used to launch drone strikes.A Somali official told the Associated Press that a suicide car bomber detonated a vehicle packed with explosives at the gate of a military airstrip that is a base for U.S. and Somali forces.
Yusuf Abdourahman, a security official with the Lower Shabelle regional administration, told the news agency that a burst of gunfire could be heard across the base after the bombing. The terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the report said. (Read more)

10. Saudi King Salman's bodyguard shot dead by friend - BBC
The bodyguard of Saudi King Salman has been killed by one of his friends after a "personal dispute", authorities say. Gen Abdel Aziz al-Fagham was visiting a friend when he had a row with Mamdouh bin Meshaal Al Ali on Saturday night.
A police statement said Ali left the house in Jeddah to return with a gun with which he opened fire. He was shot dead after refusing to surrender to police, the statement said.
Gen Fagham died of his wounds in hospital. Seven people were injured. They include two people at the friend's house Gen Fagham was visiting, as well as five security personnel involved in the shoot-out. (Read more)

The prophetic case FOR impeachment
While it is appalling to witness yet another flimsy attempt to remove a duly elected president, perhaps the best way to end these shenanigans is to let it play out. There are people who believe they know better than voters and they are intent on proving it no matter the consequences for the nation, no matter that their demagoguery imperils the very freedoms they claim to uphold. They accuse others of exactly what they do as an attempt to cover up their own dirty deeds. The more they are brought to light, the more these injustices and intrigues will be exposed. They are going to do it anyway. Let them all expose themselves.
John 3:20 says, "For everyone that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." Ephesians 5:6-13 says, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not therefore partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever does make manifest is light."
This impeachment inquiry and subsequent trial will expose many dirty dealings and unfruitful works of darkness to the light. Just as the Mueller investigation into whether the president colluded with the Russians to undermine the 2016 election, this impeachment process will prove who is involved in the wrong-doing and expose evildoers, their machinations, their intentions, and their lies. Yes, this impeachment is a distraction from working on the real problems faced by this country, and it will come at a tremendous divisive expense. Nonetheless, it may be a terrible necessity to show Americans the facts, if not the truth, and how those who seek to deceive with vain words interpret and twist facts.
Hear this: I am not advocating impeachment. I am advocating exposing these dark, visceral, divisive intrigues to the light. The injustice here is not only against one political party to another. The injustice is not only toward politicians per se. The injustice is not only against you. Christ said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me." This injustice against truth is against the very core of our Christian faith. Let us not suffer in anger. Let us not allow ourselves to be in a constant state of anxiety. Let us embrace truth, because in truth we also embrace Christ. These deceivers and evildoers will expose themselves by their own efforts to accuse others of exactly what they do. Let them do it. Watch and pray. The Lord's will be done.

NASA news: Why is this Martian rock blue? NASA probe snaps stunning Martian rock formation
NASA's Mars probe took these detailed images over the Arabia Terra region of the Red Planet. The Mars pictures feature cascading layers of rock soil inside of an impact crater measuring around 42 miles (67km) across. But something is amiss in these photos, namely the lack of Mars' characteristic red-tinged sands. Instead, judging by the pictures alone, it appears as though NASA should rename the Red Planet the Blue Planet.
So, what is causing the rocks in NASA's pictures to be so blue?
The NASA photos feature sedimentary sand and rock formations inside of the Danielson Crater. The crater's layered white rocks were formed millions or billions of years ago when loose sediments settled into the crater. According to NASA, the rocks were cemented into position over time, creating the illusion of stacked piles of rock.
NASA said: "Cyclical variations in the sediment properties made some layers more resistant to erosion than others. "After aeons, these tougher layers protrude outward like stair steps."
The sands, however, only appear blue in the NASA photos. Anyone standing in the crater right now would see the usual mix of red, oxidised soil and sand that Mars is known for. The blue shift is the result of the photos being contrast-enhanced to bring out an optimal amount of detail.

50,000 Slovakians Fill The Streets For Country's Third Pro-Life March
[LiveAction.org] An estimated 50,000 pro-life Slovakians marched in the capitol city, Bratislava, [a week ago] Sunday. Parliament will take up the issue of further abortion restrictions next month. Several different abortion restrictions have been proposed, including decreasing the abortion limit to six weeks, to eight weeks, to ban it except in cases of rape, or to ban it altogether, without exceptions.
Currently, abortion is legal for any reason up to 12 weeks in Slovakia. Slovakian law, which dates back to the days of Communist rule, also allows abortion up through 24 weeks "on health grounds with the woman's consent, or at her instigation, if her life or health or the healthy development of the fetus are endangered, or if fetal development manifests genetic anomalies." Parental consent is required for girls under 16 years old, and parental notification is required after the procedure for girls aged 16-18.
Sunday's March for Life was the third national pro-life march in the country. Earlier marches were held in 2013 and 2015. Slovakia has about 5.4 million citizens, so roughly 1% of the country's total population marched, a much higher percentage than that of US marchers. By the numbers, the US abortion rate is more than double Slovakia's when you adjust for population size differences (862,000 in the US in 2017-the most recent data available-as compared to 6,000 abortions in Slovakia last year). Marchers in Slovakia celebrated a decrease in abortions by almost 50% over the last decade. US abortions, by comparison, have also decreased during the same time frame, but much less dramatically at around 20%.
