1. Report: 18 killed in separate blasts in Syria - Israel Hayom
At least 17 people were killed on Wednesday in an explosion in the center of Jisr al-Shughour, a rebel-held city in northwestern Syria, a day after heavy Russian air strikes, rescue workers and residents said.
Several buildings collapsed as a result of the blast which shook the city in Idlib province, near a road between the coastal city of Latakia and city of Aleppo.
The city has been a target of bombardment by the Russian air force and the Syrian army in recent weeks. Most of its inhabitants have fled to the safety of areas close to the Turkish border, residents and local officials say.
In a separate incident, Syrian state-run media reported a bomb had killed a civilian and wounded five other people in a Damascus neighborhood.

2. Kahlon's demands for uniting with the Likud - Israel National News
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon are expected to meet on Thursday for a decisive discussion on merging the Kulanu party with the Likud.
The negotiations for a merger are in an advanced stage, according to the evening news report on Kan News. Kahlon is expected to raise several demands as a condition for advancing the merger during the meeting.
One condition that Kahlon demanded is leaving the treasury and economic portfolios in the hands of Kulanu members for the next term, as well as the representation of about 10% of party members in Likud institutions.
In the past, Netanyahu had proposed a much more generous offer to Kahlon to merge Kulanu with the Likud but following the results of the recent elections, it was clear to both sides that Kahlon's bargaining power had dropped significantly.

3. Netanyahu congratulates new Ukraine president, invites him to Israel - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Ukraine's newly elected president Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday and invited him to visit Israel.
Netanyahu "congratulated him for his victory, expressed his hope to continue the good relations between our countries and invited him to visit Israel," according to Israel's Ambassador to Ukraine Joel Lion.
"In another phone call, Netanyahu thanked outgoing Ukrainian President Poroshenko for his friendship toward the State of Israel and the Jewish people," he added.

4. Netanyahu vows to empower Druze: 'You are part of us, we are part of you' - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday said he wished to "empower" Israel's Druze population and vowed to address the community's needs and concerns.
The past year has seen the community, considered to be relatively well integrated with Jewish Israelis, express intense misgivings and anger over the passage of a quasi-constitutional law that enshrined Israel as the exclusive nation-state of the Jewish people.
Druze leaders have lambasted the legislation as creating official discrimination between Jews and non-Jews. Some have warned of a potential rift between the communities that would increase sectarianism and irreversibly damage the fabric of Israeli society.

5. Lebanon's minister threatens to strike Ben-Gurion Airport in future war - Jerusalem Post
Lebanon's Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab has warned that the Lebanese military would strike Israel's Ben-Gurion Airport if Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport were struck in a future conflict.
"If 'Israel' bombards our airport, we will bombard its airport; if it strikes our oil facilities, we will strike its oil facilities," he was quoted as saying by Hezbollah's al-Manar news site.
Saab made the comments while touring south Lebanon. During his tour, he met with Lebanon's Army Chief Gen. Joseph Aoun in Tyre, who briefed him on the situation in the southern region, especially in villages bordering Israel Saab and Aoun later visited UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura, where they were received by its general commander Maj.-Gen. Stefano Del Col.
Disagreement over Israel's ongoing construction of the border wall and Lebanon's plans to explore for offshore oil and gas in disputed maritime waters have elevated tensions between the two countries, which officially remain at war.

1. Trump World ramps up campaign to turn tables in Russia case, target Dems who 'colluded' - FoxNews
On social media and in televised interviews, President Trump, his attorneys, his campaign and senior members of his administration have in the wake of the Robert Mueller report seemingly adopted a strategy of highlighting lesser-known episodes of alleged misconduct by Democrats and investigators, as Democrats pursue obstruction of justice inquiries.
The FBI is currently being sued by conservative group Judicial Watch, after the bureau failed to respond to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request concerning contacts in late 2016 between the then-FBI general counsel and a top Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer, as well as contacts between the FBI and the author of the dossier.
Separately this week, Giuliani revived Republican-led calls to look into whether, and to what extent, a Democratic Party consultant worked with Ukrainian officials to dig up dirt on the Trump campaign. "Keep your eye on Ukraine," he said Wednesday.

- Father, we pray justice will be attained and law and order re-established throughout our nation.
- A king who sits on the throne of justice disperses all evil with his eyes.
(Proverbs 20:8)
2. Donald Trump: 'We're Fighting All the Subpoenas' from Democrats - Breitbart
President Donald Trump challenged Congressional Democrat demands on Wednesday for White House staff to testify about the Russia investigation. "We're fighting all the subpoenas," he told reporters at the White House as he left for a trip to Georgia to talk about the opioid epidemic.
The president described the Congressional Democrat subpoena requests as "ridiculous," arguing that the Mueller investigation was already the "most thorough investigation, probably, in the history of our country."
Trump then urged Democrats to move on. "I say it's enough!" Trump said. "Get back to infrastructure, get back to cutting taxes, get back to lowering drug prices, that's what we should be doing," he said. (Read more)
- Father, we pray Congress will focus on the people's business and put an end to these spurious Congressional investigations.
- May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!" be appalled at their own shame.
(Psalm 40:15)
3. Democrats face Catch-22 with Trump impeachment strategy - The Hill
While Mueller found no evidence of criminal conspiracy between Trump's team and Moscow, his report laid out a network of interactions. Mueller also declined to exonerate Trump for obstructing the investigation, outlining 10 episodes of potential obstruction he examined, while explicitly highlighting Congress's authority to probe further. Democrats have been happy to take the baton. On Tuesday, six key committee heads outlined their plans to conduct further investigations into Trump's actions.
Pelosi and Democratic leaders this week launched a series of aggressive investigations into the myriad allegations facing the president. She and her top lieutenants were all on Capitol Hill in 1998 when Republican leaders moved forward with impeaching former President Clinton without the support of either the public or Democrats in Congress - and suffered the consequences politically. Pelosi and her leadership team are fighting to avoid the same mistake, frequently noting that impeachment without GOP buy-in is a futile cause while Republicans control the Senate. (Read more)
- Father, we pray the Democrats will not put the country through any more political persecution.
- It is better to live in a corner of a roof than in a house shared with a contentious woman. (Proverbs 21:9)
4. Clinton-Era State Department Employee Pleads Guilty to Conspiring With Chinese Agents - Gateway Pundit
The Department of Justice announced Wednesday that a former State Department employee who also happened to be a Clinton appointee, pleaded guilty to conspiring with foreign agents. According to the DOJ, Candace Marie Claiborne, a former employee of the U.S. Department of State, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of conspiracy to defraud the United States, by lying to law enforcement and background investigators, and hiding her extensive contacts with, and gifts from, agents of the People's Republic of China (PRC), in exchange for providing them with internal documents from the U.S. State Department.
"Candace Claiborne was entrusted with Top Secret information when she purposefully misled federal investigators about her repeated interactions with foreign contacts which violated her oath of office as a State Department employee," said Assistant Director McNamara. "The FBI will continue to investigate individuals who fail to report foreign contacts, which is a key indicator of potential insider threats posed by those in positions of public trust."
Claiborne, who confided to a co-conspirator that the PRC agents were "spies," willfully misled State Department background investigators and FBI investigators about her contacts with those agents, the plea documents state. After the State Department and FBI investigators contacted her, Claiborne also instructed her co-conspirators to delete evidence connecting her to the PRC agents, the DOJ said. (Read more)
- Father, we pray the FBI investigators have found all Ms. Claiborne's co-conspirators and will be following through with prosecutorial action against them as well.
- By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down. (Proverbs 29:4)
5. Trump: Mexican Troops Disarming American Soldiers Likely Drug Smuggling Cover-Up - Daily Wire
President Trump unloaded on the Mexican government Wednesday morning, issuing a series of posts on social media blasting America's bordering neighbor for "not doing nearly enough in apprehending and returning" illegal immigrants and suggesting that a recent alarming incident involving Mexican troops that took place on the U.S. side of the border was carried out "probably as a diversionary tactic for drug smugglers."
U.S. defense officials revealed Friday that armed Mexican soldiers questioned two U.S. Army soldiers on the American side of the border -- and disarmed one of them. Despite knowing the Mexican soldiers were in U.S territory, the Americans said they chose to initially comply in order to "de-escalate a potential volatile situation." (Read more)
- Father, we thank You for President Trump's clear-eyed assessment of our border crisis. Give him wisdom to make progress, day by day.
- Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. (Proverbs 8:34)
6. Pelosi, Schumer to meet with Trump on infrastructure next week - Politico
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will meet with President Donald Trump next week to discuss infrastructure. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m., according to a senior Democratic aide. The aide said Pelosi spoke with Trump by phone on April 4 and requested the meeting.
"We'll be meeting with the president next week when we come back to talk about what the prospect is for the size in terms of resources and scope of what that might be," she said, noting that infrastructure and prescription drug prices are two policy areas that Democrats could find common ground on with the White House, which would help pass any such legislation.
Although the White House and Democrats have pointed to infrastructure as a possible area for working together, how to pay for an overhaul of the country's roads and bridges has remained a persistent question. (Read more)
- Father, we pray this meeting between President Trump, Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader Schumer will lead to real progress towards funding infrastructure projects needed by the American people.
- When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone's way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them. (Proverbs 16:7)
7. Oregon judge says he will block Trump abortion measures - The Hill
A federal judge in Oregon said Tuesday he would block the Trump administration from enforcing a ban on abortion referrals at federally funded family planning clinics. Planned Parenthood and AMA brought the case against the Trump administration in February after it finalized changes to the Title X family planning grant program that banned participating providers from referring women for abortions.
The changes, most of which are slated to go into effect May 3, also lift a requirement that Title X grant recipients counsel women on abortion as an option. The rules also would require that grant recipients be financially and physically separate from abortion providers, making hundreds of Planned Parenthood clinics across the country ineligible for the funding.
U.S. District Judge Michael McShane, who was appointed by former President Obama, said late Tuesday he would grant a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed against the Trump administration by Planned Parenthood and the American Medical Association (AMA). However, he has not decided whether the decision will apply nationally, according to The Oregonian. That means the changes will be blocked either in Oregon or nationwide while they are challenged in court. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for an end to federal judicial overreach. Help President Trump and Attorney General Barr know how best to fight these bad decisions in court.
- Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. (Isaiah 10:1-2)
8. Congress must act to protect campus free speech - PowerLine
Today, the National Association of Scholars (NAS) released a statement calling on Congress to include protections for campus free speech in the next reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. The NAS statement is signed by more than 100 prominent educators and public figures concerned with higher education.
The logic behind insisting on the inclusion of protection for campus free speech is straightforward. Congress needs to stop funneling money to colleges and universities that promulgate unconstitutional speech codes and establish so-called free-speech zones. If it fails to do so, Congress will be subsidizing the suppression of free speech by public colleges and universities.
Republicans can make this a campaign issue in 2020, but only if they hold firm and refuse to reauthorize the Higher Education Act unless effective free speech provisions are included. If congressional Republicans don't hold firm, the cost will be more than a missed political opportunity. America's campuses are becoming ideological training grounds for a generation of authoritarian socialists. (Read more)
- Father, we pray Congress will heed this recommendation and add free speech protections to the Higher Education Act.
- Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.
(Deuteronomy 3:22)
9. Russia Reveals New Sub Carrying Nuclear-Tipped Drone - FreeBeacon
Russia unveiled one of its nuclear superweapons on Tuesday launching its first submarine capable of firing high-speed underwater drones armed with massive nuclear warheads.
The first Project 09852 submarine described as the "special purpose" nuclear powered Belgorod vessel was launched from Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk in northern Russia, the government news outlet TASS reported.
According to the report, the submarine will be armed with six nuclear drones that have been labeled Kanyon by the Pentagon and Poseidon by the Russians. The submarine will be finished while afloat and TASS quoted a defense source saying the nuclear reactor will be tested later this year, with sea trials set for 2020 and deployment by the end of that year. - Father, You are sovereign over every nation and armed force in this world. We pray for peace, and a lack of need for such weapons of war.
- His tent is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion. There he broke the flashing arrows, the shields and the swords, the weapons of war. (Psalm 76:2-3)
10. How China is Replacing America as Asia's Military Titan - Reuters Investigations
In a series of stories, Reuters is exploring how the rapid and disruptive advance of Chinese hard power on Xi Jinping's watch has ended the era of unquestioned U.S. supremacy in Asia. In just over two decades, China has built a force of conventional missiles that rival or outperform those in the U.S. armory.
China's shipyards have spawned the world's biggest navy, which now rules the waves in East Asia. Beijing can now launch nuclear-armed missiles from an operational fleet of ballistic missile submarines, giving it a powerful second-strike capability. And the PLA is fortifying posts across vast expanses of the South China Sea, while stepping up preparations to recover Taiwan, by force if necessary.
It is clear that Xi wants to bring the era of U.S. dominance in Asia to an end. "In the final analysis, it is for the people of Asia to run the affairs of Asia, solve the problems of Asia and uphold the security of Asia," he said in a 2014 speech to foreign leaders on regional security. (Read more)
- Father, help President Trump and Prime Minister Xi avoid conflict over Taiwan and disputes in the South China Sea.
- Some went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters. (Psalm 107:23)

The coup intensifies
While President Donald Trump's approval rating continues to decline in the aftermath of the Democratic Party and media onslaught about obstruction of justice in the Mueller Report-what the report specifically says that there were no charges levied, the Democratic coup-makers continue to fabricate a narrative that the President should be impeached. This is nothing short of a nearly three-year campaign to remove a duly-elected president from office while the real business of running the nation, solving its many challenges, and the divisive visceral continues by opposition to the President. Yet there is no substantial evidence to back the claims while the media continues hammering away at all facets of the administration.
The battle is evident: partisan party politics, not what is best for America. Trump identified it in a sentence when he told the Washington Post that he didn't want former members of his Administration testifying before Congress. He said, "I don't want people testifying to a party, because that is what they're doing if they do this." The "this" is referring to former White House personnel security director Carl Kline, who was subpoenaed by Democrats who are "investigating" anything and everything they can about Trump. Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-Md), chairman of the House Oversight Committee stated: "It appears that the president believes that the Constitution does not apply to this White House . . . that he may obstruct attempts by Congress to conduct oversight."
This is the buzz word in the coup-inspired narrative-obstruction. The Democrats believe that the Mueller Report didn't go far enough to bring obstruction of justice charges against Trump. So they are taking it upon themselves to label Trump as an obstructionist by investigating everything they can think of, including his tax returns for the past six years. AP reports that Trump and his business organization sued Cummings to block a subpoena that seeks years of the president's financial records. The complaint, filed in federal court in Washington, said a subpoena from Cummings "has no legitimate legislative purpose" and accused the Democrats of harassing Trump.
CBS reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held a conference call with the chairs of several powerful committees to discuss the Democrat's path forward following the Mueller Report. She told the Democrat leaders (sic coup leaders) that the House should continue committee investigations into the president. This current onslaught is a coup-narrative designed to shout obstruction while at the same time the Democrats are obstructing the business of America and the functions of government. As in 1 Timothy 3:16, "But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." Take heed that you are not deceived by these people.
Have a blessed and powerful day,

Mozambique: Cyclone Kenneth to reach CAT 3 by 2:00 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 24th)
Tropical Cylcone Kenneth continues to intensify, and forecasts indicate that it may reach Category 3 intensity at 2:00 p.m. today (local time). The cyclone is expected to affect the weather in Mozambique's northern province of Cabo Delgado, with heavy rains (over 100 millimetres in 24 hours) accompanied by violent thunderstorms and winds of 80 to 130 kmh.
According to the report issued this morning by the Mozambican National Institute of Meteorology (INAM), the cyclone is expected to make landfall on the night of April 25 in the district of Palma in Cabo Delgado province. Heavy rains are also expected in Nacala, Memba, Erati, Namapa, Mozambique Island, Mussoril and Monapo districts in the province of Nampula, northern Mozambique.
INAM says that navigation in the Mozambique Channel will be affected by bad weather, characterised by rough seas and reduced visibility due to rain.
The tropical cyclone will bring heavy rainfall until Sunday April 28, and INAM recommends that precautionary and safety measures be taken corresponding to risks associated with heavy rain, thunderstorms and wind.
This is the second cyclone to reach Mozambique in less than two months. The first, Cyclone Idai, made landfall on 14 March and severely affected the centre of the country, causing loss of life deaths and destroying infrastructure there and in the southern part of Inhambane province.
> > > Please note:
This is a 2nd cyclone heading for the northern tip of Moz. This is where Heidi Baker's Ministry Training base is located. Please Pray!

'Prayer Is the Most Powerful Weapon' Say Sri Lanka Church Bombing Survivors: Post YOUR Prayer for Sri Lanka on This Virtual Prayer Wall
"We're trying to have people type [their prayers] out because it will send the message that they are not alone. Because especially for a minority group, who might be treated as second-class citizens, they might not have the typical support system that you and I would expect if something like this happened." -Sarah Cunningham, Open Doors
[Faithwire.com] In the immediate aftermath of the deadly church bombings in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, which claimed the lives of nearly 300 people, survivors of the bloody terrorist attacks are asking Christians around the globe to pray.
Sarah Cunningham, senior communications director for Open Doors, a faith-based nonprofit working with persecuted Christians internationally, told Faithwire survivors in Sri Lanka have said prayer "is the most powerful weapon" they have to combat the evils of terrorism. . .
. . . From a practical standpoint, Open Doors has launched a rapid response effort Cunningham described as a "two-pronged approach" between on-the-ground assistance and prayer support. The former is still being built out based on the constantly shifting needs of the people in Sri Lanka.
