A Day of Mourning

A Day of Mourning

Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019

The state of New York just voted to expand abortion access right up to the birth of the baby! To celebrate this unbelievable depravity they lit the One World Trade Center in pink! Women used to celebrate motherhood and find joy in their children. Today, in places like New York City, they are taking joy in destroying their children. The state of New York has crossed a line of inhumanity that should drive us to our knees. Forty-six years of the state-sanctioned killing of our most helpless and defenseless children should cause us to weep, to mourn, and to take action. What is to be thought of a society that kills her own children? What will the future be of such a heartless society that celebrates such barbaric inhumanity?

"If the foundations be destroyed what shall the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3) We are calling for a national Day of Mourning and repentance. We are in desperate need for God to move upon the hearts of young and old in our nation. If our hearts do not break over the killing of these little image bearers of God in the womb, then how can we expect those growing up in this lost, confused and decadent culture to take our message seriously? Join us February 23rd for a "Day of Mourning."

Focus on Israel

1. Russian diplomat warns of Israel-Lebanon conflict, slams U.S. for 'incitement' - Jerusalem Post

Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin warned of a possible conflict between Israel and Lebanon and accused the US of inciting "new conflicts" in the Middle East during an interview in the Russian news agency Sputnik on Saturday.

"As for a conflict between Israel and Lebanon, nothing can be predicted with certainty," he said, adding that America's influence in the region was "negative."

Zasypkin lauded the efforts made in Syria by the terrorist group Hezbollah, which he described as fighting "alongside Russia and Iran" against terror and taking "a responsible approach," including calling on Lebanese political factions to work together.

The Pentagon plans to remove all American forces from Syria by the end of April, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

2. Netanyahu to meet Pence, Pompeo at Polish Middle East summit - Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet US Vice President Mike Pence and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at a Middle East conference in Warsaw later this week.

"The first issue on the agenda is Iran - how to continue preventing it from entrenching in Syria, how to thwart its aggression in the region and, above all, how to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons," Netanyahu said Sunday in his weekly cabinet meeting.

Netanyahu is set to take off for the Polish capital on Tuesday to address the so-called "Ministerial to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East," held jointly by Poland and the US on February 13-14.

3. Poll shows Likud-led coalition winning out whether or not Gantz and Lapid merge - Times of Israel

A poll published late Saturday shows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remaining best placed to form a government even if his chief rivals join forces ahead of April's elections.

The poll, published by Channel 12 news, is the latest to show the center and left failing to overtake a right-wing government even if they should overcome their differences and unite, with intensive talks taking place between various parties ahead of this month's deadline to finalize party tickets.

A party led by Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid, Moshe Ya'alon and Gabi Ashkenazi would lead the voting with 36 seats were elections held now, according to the survey.

4. Egypt intervenes after 2 Palestinians killed in Friday riots - Israel Hayom

Egypt has managed to rein in the various terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip after two Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire after hurling explosives and rocks at Israeli troops during border riots on Friday, the London-based Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported Sunday.

According to the report, Egypt is trying to keep the security situation in Gaza from escalating, which would affect attempts at a Fatah-Hamas reconciliation.

Egyptian officials reportedly held meetings with representatives of Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist groups in Gaza. The meeting came after Egyptian officials met with Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives last week to try to calm the situation.

5. Hamas resumes night time clashes on Gaza border - YNET News

Hamas escalated its struggle against Israel on Sunday night with the resumption of night time clashes on the Gaza border, months after stopping them.

Dozens of Palestinians launched firecrackers and fireworks at IDF forces east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. The Israeli forces used crowd dispersal measures to keep the rioters away from the border fence.

The night time rioting stopped after Israel and Hamas reached an arrangement that allowed Qatari funds to enter the Gaza Strip.

8. Iran Unveils New Long-range Cruise Missile that Can Reach Israel - BFP

While celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution on Saturday, Iran proudly unveiled and displayed a newly developed cruise missile that puts Jerusalem within Tehran's reach. An unsourced Fars News Agency report said Iran mounted "home-made guided warheads on its most destructive and longest range (2,000km) [1,200 mi.] Khoramshahr missiles."

The newly unveiled cruise missile, named Hoveizeh, has a range of 1,350 kilometers (839 mi.) and is "good for targeting ground targets," Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Amir Hatami said at the anniversary ceremony on Saturday, according to Fars. "Hoveizeh ground-to-ground cruise missile has been test-fired in a 1,200 kilometer [745 mi.] range and it managed to precisely hit the specified target," Fars quoted Hatami.

By mounting the Hoveizeh cruise missile on the ballistic Khoramshahr 2 missiles, which "can be controlled until hitting the target and are able to carry warheads weighing nearly 2 tons," Fars reported, Tehran will be able to reach Israel and several American bases within the region. (Read more)

- Pray that the Lord will show Himself strong on Israel's behalf, giving them wisdom, strategies, equipment and everything else they might need to protect His land and people from Iran's determination to annihilate them.

- "A land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year." (Deuteronomy 11:12)

9. Russian Air Defense System in Syria Appears Ready for Use - BFP

The Russian-supplied S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, deployed on Syrian soil, appears to have become operational, according to satellite images taken by Israeli ImageSat International company and published by Israeli military Wednesday. Three out of four aerial defense batteries were captured in an upright position, while the fourth one remained covered by a net. The development might endanger Israel Air Force [IAF] missions against Iranian targets in the war-battered county. (Read more)

- Pray that the Lord will continue to uphold stability in the relationship between Israel and Russia, as Russia serves as a buffer between Israel and Iran. May the Russian leadership come to truly realize that the God of the Universe is Israel's shield and defender.

- "Let them be confounded and consumed who are adversaries of my life; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor who seek my hurt. But I will hope continually and will praise You yet more and more." (Psalm 71:13-14)

The Daily Brief

1. 'Use Him for Your Kingdom's Sake': This Powerful Prayer Over President Trump Brought Democrats and Republicans Together - CBN News

At the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, event co-chairs Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) joined together in a rare moment of unity in Washington to pray over President Donald Trump. "Father, thank you for the way that you provide for us," Lankford began. "We pray that You would pour Your overwhelming blessing and wisdom on the president, on the vice president, his cabinet and his team. We pray that You would energize him, that You would give him wise counsel."

"In quiet moments, as he has a gap to be able to think, we pray that You would guide him in the way to go as he leads our nation," he continued. "Give him the insight that he needs. Give him joy in the task. And use him for Your kingdom's sake and for our nation and the world's sake. In the name of Jesus I ask."

Coons then prayed, "Heavenly Father we pray for all who are in positions of responsibility and authority, and all who seek a closer relationship with You. This morning we especially pray for President Trump and we ask that Your wisdom, Your blessing, and Your peace would be upon him and his family as they serve us, and that today You would touch his heart and all who have been with us here this morning at this National Prayer Breakfast. In Jesus' name we pray, amen." (Read more)

- Almighty God, we plead an impassioned prayer that all the prayers of the rightous will be offered in the spirit of unity, as was done at the National Prayer Breakfast. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.

- "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore." (Psalm 133)

2. Michigan's John Dingell, longest-serving member in Congress, dies at 92 - USA Today

Former U.S. Rep. John David Dingell Jr., who was one of the U.S. House's most powerful chairmen and helped write and pass some of the most consequential legislation in the nation's history, died Thursday. He was 92.

"One of the most consequential members of Congress in the last century" is how congressional scholar Norm Ornstein described Dingell, noting he had a hand in "virtually every major social policy advance" since the 1960s. He was mentioned alongside congressional giants such as House Speakers Sam Rayburn and Tip O'Neill, as well as the late Sen. Robert Byrd, whom Dingell surpassed as the longest-serving member in 2013.

He will always be known first and foremost, however, for a remarkable legislative tenure that lasted 59 years - spanning all or part of 11 presidencies - during which time he cast tens of thousands of votes and helped write or otherwise played a role in passing the most significant measures of the era, including Medicare, the Civil Rights Act, the Clean Water and Clean Air acts, the Endangered Species Act and more. In 2010, he helped pass the Affordable Care Act, [and in] 2014, Dingell was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by then-President Barack Obama. (Read more)

- Father in heaven, we all pay respect to Rep. John Dingell who carried some heavy legislation over the finish line to make our country great. We send our sincere condolences to his family and friends. In the Name of Jesus.

- "For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person: yet does He devise means, that His banished be not expelled from Him." (2 Samuel 14:14)

3. Senate panel OKs 44 Trump judicial nominees - Washington Examiner

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved more than three dozen nominees to the federal bench, paving the way for a full vote before the Senate as President Trump continues to reshape the federal judiciary.

The nominees include six to the federal circuit courts, to which Trump has already appointed 30 judges. The Senate Judiciary Committee also approved 34 nominees to the federal district courts, two to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and two to the U.S. Court of International Trade.

The picks will now head to the full Senate where, if confirmed, they will join the 85 judges Trump has named to the federal bench, including two to the U.S. Supreme Court. The president's success with installing federal judges has been a key achievement of his administration. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we thank You that it is very obvious that Your mighty hand has been upon President Trump to guide him in all his decisions. We pray he always hear Your voice and obey You as You lead him in the right path to victory. We praise You, Lord. In the Name of Jesus' we pray.

- "For this God is our God forever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death." (Psalm 48:14)

4. New Mexico abortion bill called 'most extreme in the nation' - Fox News

Following the New York abortion law celebrated by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Vermont is pushing a "right to abortion" bill that goes even further. But opponents of a new abortion bill in New Mexico say a proposal in that state would be the "most extreme bill in the nation" due to its far-reaching changes.

Advocates of the abortion bill that decriminalizes abortion in the state say it is needed in case Roe v. Wade is overturned, but pro-life supporters say it allows abortion-on-demand for any reason, taking away parental notification for minors and conscience protections from the state law.

Opponents of the bill argue that beyond making abortion legal all nine months of pregnancy, it also forces medical professionals to perform abortions against their will. "HB-51 is the most extreme bill in the nation because it keeps elective abortion-up-to-birth, and also seeks to force medical professionals to participate in this practice by stripping away explicit conscience protections from the current statute," Martinez said. (Read more)

- Holy God, first we ask You to forgive these legislators in the State of New Mexico for crafting and trying to pass this wicked, evil bill. They know not what they do.

And Almighty God, we plead for the souls of the women subjecting themselves to these abortionists. Draw these women toward the heart of God who will save them from committing the murder of their unborn child. Lord God, stop the evil of these hell-bent doctors who are committing these murders. In the end, each will stand before God and give an account of the heinous sins they have done. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

- "A man that does violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit, let no man help him." (Proverbs 20:17)

5. Exclusive - House GOP Plans Sustained Effort to Expose Leftist Democrats on Abortion - Breitbart

House Republicans are gearing up for a sustained push to expose leftist Democrats in the House Democrat majority on their increasingly extreme views on abortion, Breitbart News has learned exclusively. Republicans-as they have demonstrated for three consecutive legislative days-intend to push for a floor vote against Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi's wishes on a piece of legislation from Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) that would ensure babies who are born alive following an abortion attempt are given the same medical treatment and care any other newborn baby would receive.

"Protecting innocent life shouldn't be a partisan issue and it shouldn't be difficult. Infanticide is barbaric and the growing trend of Democrats advocating it is frightening," House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, told Breitbart News. "Republicans are united in seeing that a bill protecting babies who survived an attempted abortion urgently receives a vote on the House Floor. It already passed the House with Democratic support last Congress. But so far the new Democrat majority refuse to even consider the bill. But we will ask again. And again. And again, until this body speaks up for life." (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You that, according to the Hebrew calendar, we find ourselves in the month of ADAR -- the time when all deeds are exposed and come to light. So, we thank You that these members of Congress are right in time with what You are doing in the Spirit. Praise God!

Lord, we pray now for the Democrats in the House to meet You at the beginning of every session of Congress and to consider how You look upon their evil deeds and the ultimate reward of these sins. We plead before God for the lives of the unborn. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.

- "For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light." (Mark 4:22)

6. Supreme Court blocks Louisiana abortion restrictions, handing anti-abortion movement a temporary setback - USA Today

A deeply divided Supreme Court Thursday temporarily blocked abortion restrictions in Louisiana that critics complained were virtually identical to those struck down by the justices in 2016. The action gave abortion rights proponents, as well as women seeking procedures, a reprieve from a law that critics said threatened to leave just one abortion clinic and provider in business. Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court's four liberals in blocking the law. Four conservatives objected, and new Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote a dissent on his own behalf.

The Louisiana law requires abortion providers to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals. That was one of two requirements of the Texas law that the Supreme Court struck down as burdensome. Since that 5-3 ruling, which occurred after Associate Justice Antonin Scalia's death left the court shorthanded, laws requiring hospital admitting privileges have been struck down or unenforced in several other states, including Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Wisconsin. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that You dispatch myriads of warrior angels to descend upon those supporting abortion. Remove their hearts of stone and give each one a heart of flesh. Cause them to repent of their murderous ways, to see the Light, and to cease killing these little ones. Father, You are Lord over all the earth and You will reign supreme. We claim it. In the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

- "In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bare them, and carried them all the days of old." (Isaiah 63:9)

7. Key GOP senator: Border wall talks are stalled - The Hill

Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a key negotiator on President Trump's demand for a border wall, said on Sunday that congressional talks are stalled, raising the prospect of another government shutdown at week's end. "I think the talks are stalled right now. I'm hoping we can get off the dime later today or in the morning because time is ticking away but we've got some problems with the Democrats dealing with ICE, that is detaining criminals that come into the U.S. and they want a cap on them. We don't want a cap on that," Shelby said on "Fox News Sunday," referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. (Read more)

- Father God, we pray for the wisdom of the Lord to guide President Trump's decision regarding the border fencing deal. We ask that the power of the Lord come upon all those who will compile the final package to secure the border. We continue to pray for BREAKTHROUGH in these negotiation, in the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.

- "The breaker goes up before them;
They break out, pass through the gate and go out by it.
So their king goes on before them,
And the Lord at their head."
(Micah 2:13)

8. Ocasio-Cortez Bungled Green New Deal's Release. Her Staff Took Its Webpage Offline - Daily Caller

Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez kicked off Thursday unveiling her highly-anticipated "Green New Deal" resolution to cheers from Democrats and environmentalists, but by the day's end, her staff was forced to take a gaffe-riddled summary of the bill offline.

Ocasio-Cortez gave NPR the scoop. Her office provided NPR the Green New Deal resolution and its accompanying FAQ document that laid out its goals, namely to "[m]ove America to 100% clean and renewable energy" within 10 years.

What immediately became clear, however, was that the legislative language didn't match with Ocasio-Cortez's FAQ, especially when it came to nuclear power, welfare programs and "farting cows." The Green New Deal resolution, which has more than sixty cosponsors in the House, does not have language ruling out nuclear or banning fossil fuels, but its accompanying FAQ actually did. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we submit this Green New Deal resolution up to You, and all the cosponsors in the House, as well as the language ruling out nuclear or banning fossil fuels. Have Your divine will in either promoting it, or causing it never to succeed. We lift Your Name above all this. In Jesus' Name we pray.

- "Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of My mouth." (Psalm 78:1)

9. Haley Responds to Pelosi's Climate Committee: Does Protecting God's Creation Include Babies? - Conservative Tribune

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley questioned whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's commitment to protecting God's creation extended to include babies.

On Thursday, Pelosi tweeted, "We have a moral responsibility to protect God's creation for generations to come. That is why today, we named members to the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. #ActOnClimate." Haley replied, "Does God's creation not include protecting babies as well Madame Speaker? A committee on that issue would be welcome."

On Thursday, Pelosi announced nine Democratic members to the new Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, NBC News reported. "The American people have spoken and demanded bold action to take on the climate crisis, which is the existential threat of our time," Pelosi said in a statement. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord, for Nikki Haley!

- "For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. " (Luke 21:15)

10. Tucker Airs Footage Of The FBI's Raid On Roger Stone's Home - Daily Caller

Roger Stone, a longtime confidant of President Donald Trump, was charged last month on seven counts, including five for making false statements to Congress, one for witness tampering and one for obstruction of a government proceeding. President Trump told The Daily Caller he is considering reviewing the FBI's policies in response to their show of force during this arrest, in a recent exclusive interview.

Tucker Carlson aired and narrated the FBI's raid on Roger Stone's home during his show Friday night: "The new footage from Stone's home shows CNN arriving about an hour before the agents did. The footage depicts what you'd expect if the FBI raided the home of a Mexican drug lord," Carlson began. "For context, Roger Stone is a senior citizen accused of false statements to Congress. Take a look at what happened. It's just before 5 a.m., and an SUV with a CNN cameraman arrives first to this quiet street in Fort Lauderdale, Florida."

"Almost exactly one hour later, trucks with heavily-armed men arrived in front of Roger Stone's house. Immediately CNN's cameraman jumps out of the car, camera on shoulder and captures the footage," he added. "The feds assemble on Stone's driveway, they're wearing ballistic armor and carrying assault weapons with 30-round magazines, red dot sites and tactical flashlights mounted to the barrel shroud. One has his gun hanging by the strap while he's carrying a battering ram in the left hand." (Read more)

- Lord God, we pray that You will take in hand all those participating in this false set-up, staged by anyone in the former administration, who will be held accountable for this outrageous raid. Lord, fight the battles for the innocent. In the Name of Jesus.

- "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds." (2 Corinthians 10:4)

11. Adam Schiff, Glenn Simpson and their encounter in Aspen - The Hill

The new House Intelligence Committee chairman, Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), has proven to be his party's most effective antagonist toward President Trump. And now, with the new powers of being chairman, he is drawing both new weapons and new scrutiny. Which bring us to the issue of some photographs taken at the prestigious Aspen security conference last July.

They show Schiff meeting at the event with Fusion GPS Founder Glenn Simpson, one of the key and most controversial figures in the Russia collusion scandal. Both men insisted to me through spokesmen that they met only briefly last July. At the time of the encounter, Simpson was an important witness in the House Intelligence Committee probe who had given sworn testimony about alleged, but still unproven, collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Simpson ran the firm hired by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic Party to find dirt on Trump in Moscow. He employed retired British intelligence operative Christopher Steele, whose infamous and unverified dossier became the main evidence for the FBI's probe of the Trump campaign, particularly the surveillance warrant against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Whatever happened in Aspen won't stay in Aspen much longer. Expect Republicans in Washington to launch some questions at the House's new Intelligence Committee chairman. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we raise our voice unto You, glorious Father, that You will send warrior angels to counter all the evil that Adam Schiff will stir up. With a wide sweep from heaven, Lord God, take Your cycle and cut down every last wicked field that was sown by Glenn Simpson and those in collusion to destroy President Trump. Put to death every lie, every attack and render them useless. We pray in the Name of Jesus, and we ask You to forgive all whose names are written in this report. Amen and amen.

- "O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto You? or to Your faithfulness round about You? You rule the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, You still them." (Psalm 89:8-9)

Rubber and glue

Many in America are now seeing that those who accuse people who disagree with them as being racists, misogynists, bigots and other horrible labels are exactly as their accusations. Look no further than the leftist Democratic Party leadership in Virginia-the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general have racked up a bunch of proof of the exact things they have been accusing others of being-misogynists, racists, bigots-and they are all trying to deny their way out of the proof. Proof comes in the form of racist pictures. And they are in the position of having to deny sexual allegations, which they once heralded as guilty until proven innocent as part of the "me too" movement. Disgraceful.

Here's the sordid triangle of Virginia's leading leftists: Governor Ralph Northam has admitted that he put black face on for a 1984 medical college yearbook. State Attorney General Mark Herring also admitted he wore blackface standing next to a person in a Ku Klux Klan hood and robe when he was in college. And a woman has publicly accused Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault. But all this is just ignoring the real issue that in another day and time they would have been tarred and feathered and ran out of the state on a rail. The real issue here is that they support killing the preborn, even as they are being born.

These men support the "Murder on Demand" bill introduced by Democrat Virginia state legislator Kathy Tran that makes it "lawful for any physician licensed by the Board of Medicine to practice medicine and surgery to terminate or attempt to terminate a human pregnancy or aid or assist in the termination of a human pregnancy by performing an abortion or causing a miscarriage on any woman in a stage of pregnancy subsequent to the second trimester." The justification is simply "continuation of the pregnancy is likely to result in the death of the woman or impair the mental or physical health of the woman." Therefore, if the woman consents because of her mental health, the infanticide can be legally committed.

Northam's campaign commercials implied President Trump and those who support him are racists. This gang was quick to jump on the guilty until proven innocent bandwagon against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the "anything anyone says is rubber and it is supposed to bounce off and stick to others like glue" isn't working so well. To top it all off, the real story is that they support infanticide. It's time for the people of Virginia to rise up. They need to repent and reexamine electing those who believe in the immorality systemic in the Democratic Party. In fact, all Americans should rise up and demand the removal of these people and their never-ending hypocrisy and obstruction. As in Job 8:13, "Such are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish."

Have a blessed and powerful day,

Death is Spreading

Death is Spreading

There is no time to waste! New York and Delaware have already passed bills that allow abortion all nine months. Rhode Island, New Mexico, and Vermont are considering abortion bills right now that would liberalize these states far beyond what Roe v. Wade allows. The Supreme Court only permits abortions on babies too young to survive outside of the womb, with few exceptions. However, liberals are making a huge push across our nation to kill perfectly healthy, fully developed babies inside (and outside) the womb.

More Signs and Wonders: Apocalyptic Sounds In The Sky: No Explanation For 'Mystery Booms' And 'Mysterious Flashes Of Light' All Across America

By: Michael Snyder - February 8, 2019

Editor's Note: When judgment has often befallen nations, there are unexplainable things that take place, including things that occur in the skies, and noise. If you don't believe me, just read the Works of Josephus , a non-Christian Jewish general, who documented what occurred during the fulfillment of the words of Jesus Christ found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, along with the Revelation of Jesus Christ penned by the apostle John. In those words, you will find an unbeliever recounting incredible things as God brought the curses He promised upon a rebellious and lawless people (Deuteronomy 28) in Jerusalem.

For weeks, Americans all over the country have been rattled by extremely loud booming sounds that seem to have no explanation, and they are often accompanied by "mysterious flashes of light". These strange booms are shaking homes and rattling windows, and some witnesses say that they sound like cannons being fired. And even though the "mystery booms" and accompanying flashes of light have been captured on camera all across the nation, so far the authorities do not have a reasonable explanation for why they are happening. Unfortunately, it does not appear that this strange phenomenon is going to go away any time soon. In fact, the Sun is reporting that the frequency of these "mystery booms" appears "to have gathered pace over the past week". . .

Large booming sounds are being reported all over the nation, and often those large booming sounds are being accompanied by massive flashes of light. But in every case, the authorities have absolutely no idea what is causing this to happen.
Some news reports are referring to these strange sounds as "seismic booms", but there are no corresponding seismic events to back up that claim. At this point, we have a complete and total mystery on our hands. On YouTube, Jason A has done a great job of compiling news reports about these "mystery booms" from all over America, and you can watch his video right here.
We have entered a period of time when we should expect the unexpected. Things are strange and they are going to get a whole lot stranger. We aren't always going to be able to explain what is happening, but without a doubt, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, and that growing instability is going to cause great chaos in the months and years ahead.

I wish that I knew what was causing all of these "mystery booms", but I don't. Thankfully they don't appear to be causing any serious damage, and hopefully, that won't change.

Let's just hope that all of this "shaking" is not leading up to something much bigger, because it isn't going to take much to push America into a state of utter chaos right now.

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken." (Luke 21: 25,26)

Classic Hymns

NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD

"Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." (Hebrews 9:22)

Lyrics

What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain

Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon, this I see,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my cleansing this my plea,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain

Nothing can for sin atone,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain

This is all my hope and peace,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain

Now by this I'll overcome-
Nothing but the blood of Jesus,
Now by this I'll reach my home-
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain

Glory! Glory! This I sing-
Nothing but the blood of Jesus,
All my praise for this I bring-
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain

Snowstorm buries Pacific Northwest, with more on the way

SEATTLE - Residents of the Pacific Northwest took to neighborhood hills with skis, sleds or even just laundry baskets Saturday to celebrate an unusual dump of snow in a region more accustomed to winter rain.

Some areas received more than a foot of snow, and meteorologists say more is on the way early next week. Hundreds of flights were canceled in Seattle and Portland, and heavy snow drifts closed major highways in eastern Washington. Around 50,000 people lost power.

Residents cleared out grocery store shelves and left work early Friday afternoon as the storm arrived. More than a foot of snow was recorded by Saturday morning in some areas, including on the Olympic Peninsula, in the nation's latest bout of winter weather.

In Tacoma, hundreds of people turned out for a snowball fight in a park after someone who lives nearby suggested it on Facebook. They took cover behind picnic tables and used sleds as shields.

"This is a perfect morning to bundle up and play in the snow, but stay off the roads if possible," Gov. Jay Inslee wrote on Twitter.

Alabama man's Bible survives devastating home fire, bringing firefighter to tears:

'It was a miracle'

A man who lives on the Gulf Coast of Alabama said it was a miracle and "sign from God" when his grandfather's Bible survived a Christmas tree fire that destroyed their home. Scot Byrd, a veteran and father of four, who had lived in the home for 20 years, lost everything. But one thing remained: the Bible.

"The fireman actually came out [of the home] with tears in his eyes and he said, 'you're not going to believe this, you've gotta come see it for yourself,'" Byrd told FOX 10. "This Bible did not have one scorch mark on it."

The firefighter said it was as if someone had set the Bible on top of all the ashes and rubble.

For Byrd, the Bible -- which has a cross and the verse John 3:16 etched on the cover -- was another sign that God was working in their lives. Byrd's daughter, Shelby, 7, is his "miracle baby." She was diagnosed with leukemia at 2 years old. At the time, doctors told them she had no hope after she went into a coma, but she woke up and today she is in remission.

The house caught on fire on Jan. 8, while the family was at Fishermen Baptist Church. Byrd's daughters, Shelby and Ashton, 4, were at a princess tea party when he came home to see the devastation.

Annette Byrd, Scot's sister, told Fox News the Good Book somehow was untouched by the flames and the water from the firefighters. "The Bible was there. I could've taken it to church and kept up with the preacher," Annette said.

She started a fundraiser after the home was destroyed because Scot still owes $20,000 on the home and is looking to rebuild in the area. The community donated clothes, school supplies, and beds for Byrd and his daughters. (Fox News) Read more.

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."
