ADVENT: Week Two . . . LOVE

Focus on Israel

1. Netanyahu: Hezbollah Will Get 'Unimaginable Blow' If It Attacks- Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who visited the north Tuesday for the second time in less than a week, said that the uncovering of the third Hezbollah attack tunnel is part of the process of "systematically dismantling" these weapons.

Netanyahu said that Hezbollah will "make a big mistake" if it tries to harm IDF soldiers or resist the army's operation to expose the tunnels, and would receive a blow "that it cannot even imagine."

Netanyahu and Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen Gadi Eisenkot held a security assessment with OC Northern Command Maj.-Gen Yoel Strick, and other senior officers. Netanyahu also met brigade and battalion commanders and soldiers involved in the operation, and then with ocal authority heads in the north.

Netanyahu praised the spirit and preparedness of the soldiers and officers. "Hezbollah thought that it was building these tunnels without any hindernance," he said. "We knew about it, and planned for it, and this did not leak out. We keep the secret , and planned [this operation] carefully."

2. IDF uncovers third attack tunnel dug from Lebanon into Israel - Times of Israel

The Israel Defense Forces said it uncovered a Hezbollah cross-border attack tunnel that penetrated Israeli territory from southern Lebanon on Tuesday, the third passageway found since the military launched a digging operation on the border last week. The army said it had drilled into the passage and planted explosives inside it to ensure it cannot be used.

This was the third tunnel that the IDF has found inside Israeli territory as part of its Operation Northern Shield to find and destroy such subterranean infrastructure.

3. Netanyahu: Israel will build West Bank settlements despite ICC pressure - Jerusalem Post

Israel is facing a fierce campaign over existing settlements because of efforts against it at the International Criminal Court, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Likud politicians on Monday, in response to criticism for not doing enough to advance settler activity in the West Bank.

Netanyahu said he is proceeding carefully in order to make sure everything is legal, because of the "aggressive campaign against settlements that were already built." His spokesman confirmed that this smear campaign is coming straight from the ICC.

The Prime Minister spoke in the closed section of the Likud faction regarding construction in Judea and Samaria.

4. Hamas 'Sleeper Cells' in the West Bank - Jerusalem Online

A grim shooting attack took place near the community of Ofra in the Ramallah area on December 9, 2018. The drive-by shooting attack was carried out from a car driving past a bus stop. As a result, seven Israeli citizens were injured, one of whom was in an advanced stage of pregnancy; she and her baby were left in serious condition.

A video captured by a surveillance camera broadcast by Israeli media shows the moment when the terrorists in the car shot at the group of Israelis who were at a bus stop.

Security sources reckon that this incident was perpetrated by a terrorist cell that has already carried out shooting attacks in the area, such as shooting at a bus near Beit El about six weeks earlier. This cell is apparently affiliated with Hamas.

5. Palestinian Who Worked With Israel to Prevent Terror Attacks Describes PA Torture - Algemeiner

A Palestinian who worked with Israel to prevent terror attacks appeared before a Knesset committee on Tuesday and described his brutal treatment at the hands of the Palestinian Authority.

According to the Hebrew newssite Walla, the unnamed man told lawmakers, "I am a man who received a death sentence because I prevented the spilling of blood. I prevented terror attacks. Because of this, children grew up today and were not killed, and I did the job."

He said that he took the actions he did because "I didn't want attacks, I wanted peace." The man then described being tortured by PA forces, as well as other incidents of torture that he witnessed.

The Daily Brief

1. Oval Office Throwdown: Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi Fight with Donald Trump on Border Wall - Breitbart

President Donald Trump, future House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer erupted in an on-camera fight in the Oval Office over border wall funding on Tuesday. The president argued that funding the wall was a "national emergency" and proposed $5 billion in funding. Schumer refused, insisting that he would only provide just $1.6 billion in border security funds. In response, Trump said he would shut down the government and take responsibility for it if they failed to include additional wall funding.

"I am proud to shut down the government for border security, Chuck, because the people of this country don't want criminals and people that have lots of problems, and drugs pouring into our country," he said in response to Schumer. "So I will take the mantle, I will be the one to shut it down, I'm not going to blame you for it."

After the meeting, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders described the dialogue with Schumer and Pelosi as "constructive" despite acknowledging "major disagreement" on border security and transparency. "Walls work - where walls have been built, illegal crossings have dropped substantially," she said, and added, "We will continue to pursue real solutions to defend our nation and uphold our laws - and hope Democrats will work with us in a bipartisan fashion to do so. A nation without borders is no nation at all." (Read more)

- Father, we pray for a way through this immigration impasse. Give our leaders wisdom for next steps so that the needs and safety of the American people will be addressed.

- Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives. (Titus 3:14)

2. More than 3,000 illegals caught in one day: DHS - Washington Times

The government snared more than 3,000 illegal immigrants in just one day last week, the administration's top border official told Congress on Tuesday, saying the situation qualifies as a full-blown "crisis."

Kevin K. McAleenan, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said more than 1,100 of those caught either jumping the border or trying to come through a border crossing without permission were children, either traveling alone or with parents. He said the 3,029 people caught on Dec. 3 was the highest total in years, and said at the rate illegal immigration across the border is running right now, the numbers of families and children could be double the record rate recorded last year.

"It is indeed both a border security and a humanitarian crisis," he told the Senate Judiciary Committee. His testimony came as Congress is debating President Trump's request for billions of dollars in new money for border security - chiefly for a major chunk of his planned border wall. (Read more)

- Father, we pray our government - at the federal, state and local levels - will respond in unity to this crisis at our national border.

- Remember, Lord, how your servant has been mocked, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations, the taunts with which your enemies, Lord, have mocked, with which they have mocked every step of your anointed one. (Psalm 89:50-51)

3. Supreme Court Rejects Environmentalists, Gives Border Wall the Green Light - Western Journal

A challenge to President Donald Trump's Border Wall has been rejected by the Supreme Court. The court, without comment, last Monday rejected a request from three environmental groups to hear an appeal of a lower court decision that allowed construction of the wall to proceed.

The administration had urged the court to reject the case. Democrats, including Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke, called for the court to take the case in hopes that it would rule against the administration, according to CNBC. The Center for Biological Diversity, the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Defenders of Wildlife filed lawsuits hoping to block the wall. The groups said they would continue to fight against the president. (Read more)

- Father, this resistance is rebellion to authority - the authority You have divinely ordained by Your will. Lord, we pray all who resist and rebel will be humbled and drawn to repentance.

- The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled (Isaiah 2:12)

4. Women's March Full Of Anti-Semites, Has Ties To Nation Of Islam - Political Insider

Leaders of the left-wing activist group Women's March have ties to Nation of Islam and believe in a variety of conspiratorial anti-Semitic tropes, according to a report from Tablet magazine. The investigation by Tablet alleges that two core members of the group who occupy leadership positions, Carmen Perez and Tamika Mallory, shared erroneous ideas about the Jewish people in meetings, including that they "bore a special collective responsibility as exploiters of black and brown people," and "were proven to have been leaders of the American slave trade. Conspiracy theories asserting that Jews were central to the slave trade are regularly shared among anti-Semites, despite being repeatedly proven false by experts.

Tablet also reports that Mallory, who currently serves as a national co-chair of the Women's March, attended Nation of Islam events - a radical black nationalist organization led by notorious anti-Semite Louise Farrakhan. At one point in the piece, Tablet reports that Nation of Islam members began "acting as security detail and drivers" for the Women's March co-chairs. A Facebook photo uploaded by founding member, Linda Sarsour, shows her next to men wearing typical Nation of Islam garb - suits and bowties. (Read more)

- Father, thank You for exposing the attitudes and affiliations at the heart of the Women's March. We pray for a true women's movement, that represents the best of faith, family, motherhood and devotion.

- Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father's house. Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. (Psalm 45:10-11)

5. Media Demand Trump Impeachment Following Cohen Sentencing Filing - Grabien News

No sooner had prosecutors in the Southern District of New York filed sentencing recommendations against Michael Cohen than were members of the media calling on Democratic lawmakers to impeach President Trump. The filings charge that President Trump directed Cohen to make hush payments to Stormy Daniels in a bid to buy her silence about an affair. Many in the media are contending that this would amount to Trump orchestrating a violation of campaign finance laws, and that, as a consequence, he can and should be impeached.

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell, Eddie Glaude Jr., and Ali Velshi have all suggested Trump should be impeached. On CNN, Carl Bernstein and Watergate attorney John Dean also called for Trump's impeachment. The Boston Herald's Kimberly Atkins is calling for impeachment, too. On CNN, Erin Burnett invited on former Richard Nixon attorney John Dean - who pleaded guilty to a felony for his role in the Watergate coverup - to discuss the latest from the Mueller probe. Dean said the House has "little choice" but to impeach Trump. (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to cover President Trump and all those loyal to him with Your blood. We ask You to rebuke the enemy and restore our nation.

- Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored; renew our days as of old. (Lamentations 5:21

6. Congress suddenly set to pass criminal justice reform bill as soon as next week - Washington Examiner

After weeks of inaction, Senate lawmakers are suddenly in position to pass an historic and bipartisan criminal justice reform bill that has attracted the support of reluctant conservatives, thanks in part to last-minute changes that are tougher on violent criminals.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., announced Tuesday his plans to hold a vote on the bill, and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., has pledged to bring up the Senate-passed version by year's end, an aide told the Washington Examiner. "I'm ecstatic," Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, a lead sponsor of the First Step Act, told the Washington Examiner. Lee said the vote is scheduled for next week.

Lee's bill is aimed at reducing sentences for nonviolent criminals, a change that lawmakers on both parties have supported. The changes made to the bill would block judges from allowing offenders with serious criminal records to be eligible for reduced sentences and prevent serious violent offenders from using time credits to gain an earlier prison release. (Read more)

- Father, we pray these changes will strengthen the First Step bill and once law, be effective in integrating prisoners into productive lives as free citizens again.

- And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2)

7. EPA seeks to douse Obama-era Waters of the United States rule - Washington Times

The Environmental Protection Agency moved Tuesday to scale back the Obama-era Waters of the United States rule, a policy embraced by environmentalists but denounced by critics as a power grab that placed even potholes and puddles under federal control.

In the Trump administration's latest strike on federal regulations, the EPA proposed redefining "waters of the United States" in a way that would draw a clear line between navigable waterways under federal versus state control. The changes would help landowners understand "whether a project on their property will require a federal permit or not, without spending thousands of dollars on engineering and legal professionals," he said.

"Our proposal would replace the Obama EPA's 2015 definition with one that respects the limits of the Clean Water Act and provides states and landowners the certainty they need to manage their natural resources and grow local economies," said EPA acting administrator Andrew Wheeler. "For the first time, we are clearly defining the difference between federally protected waterways and state protected waterways." (Read more)

- Father, we pray Administrator Wheeler will be successful in revising these onerous regulations and return decision-making back to states, municipalities, and individual land owners.

- Then you will understand what is right and just and fair-every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
(Proverbs 2:9-10)

8. Grilled on Hill, Google chief Pichai denies firm censors conservatives - Washington Times

The head of Google told Congress Tuesday that the firm has no political bias, pushing back against President Trump and top Republican lawmakers who say the world's largest online search engine stifles content from conservative news outlets and personalities. "I lead this company without political bias and work to ensure that our products continue to operate that way," Google CEO Sundar Pichai said on Tuesday in highly anticipated testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. "To do otherwise would go against our core principles and our business interests."

The hearing was called by House GOP leaders to shine the spotlight on Google's search algorithms, which Republican critics say suppress conservative viewpoints and give prominence to liberal media voices because Silicon Valley's work force leans left politically.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, California Republican and member of the judiciary panel, cited statistics that show Google is responsible for 90 percent of all internet searches, but warned that there was a "widening gap of distrust between tech companies and the American people." (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to reveal Google's algorithms, making them available to public scrutiny. We pray all who are using Google to benefit political parties or individuals will be revealed and removed from their positions of power.

- "Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty."
(Isaiah 6:5)

9. Porn is causing shocking trend of children sexually assaulting other kids, medical experts warn - Christian Post

Children's exposure to pornography is leading to an alarming number of violent sexual assaults being perpetrated by kids against others their own age and younger, medical experts are warning. "I think that was kind of shocking to us all as we were collecting this data, is that almost half of our perpetrators are minors," said Heidi Olson, a sexual assault nurse examiner coordinator at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dr. Jennifer Hansen, a pediatrician who works with victims of child abuse at Children's Mercy, told news station KHSB last week: "Another thing we're noticing is a lot of those sexual assaults are violent sexual assaults, so they include physical violence in addition to sexual violence." Nurses have said that pornography is playing a role, with victims saying they have been forced to watch porn, or forced to do something seen in porn videos.

Alarmingly, SANE program's data revealed that a number of perpetrators are between the ages of 11 and 15 years old. Children's Mercy said that victims are most likely girls around 4 to 8 years old. The hospital says that they see around 1,000 child victims a year who report being sexually assaulted. (Read more)

- Lord Jesus, our hearts break for the little ones hurt by our profane, corrupt culture. We pray You will restore each one and have mercy upon them. Give us the ability and will to abstain from looking at such things.

- I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman. (Job 31:1)

10. Trump signs Hatch-sponsored child pornography victim assistance law - Deseret News

Child pornography victims could have better access to federal restitution under a bipartisan bill President Donald Trump signed into law Friday. Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, a key sponsor of the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act, called the signing a "momentous" day that was many years in the making.

"This bipartisan legislation will provide meaningful assistance for child pornography victims to support their recovery and allow them to reclaim their lives. I am proud of this legislation and look forward to seeing it change the world for good," he said. The bill is named after victims depicted in some of the most widely circulated child pornography series in the world. "Amy," "Vicky," and "Andy" all supported the bill.

"I'm lucky, and so is Vicky and Amy and so many other mostly silent victims out there, to have you on our side and everyone else in the Senate," Andy, a Utah resident, said in a statement. "Just knowing that so many important people think that we matter, that the terrible things that happened to us as kids are being considered all the way up in the Congress of the United States," he wrote. "If we can all agree on something, it's that victims deserve justice." (Read more)

- Father, we pray these precious children who have fallen into the hands of evil men will experience justice and restoration through this new law.

- I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth-Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:1-3)

Discerning the new news narrative

The news narrative has shifted since Friday, December 7 when Federal prosecutors released information about the Mueller Special Counsel investigation on whether President Donald Trump and Russia conspired to influence the 2016 Presidential election. The old narrative of Russian-Trump collusion has all but disappeared. The new narrative that has the news media and Democrats calling for impeachment of Trump is about Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen paying two women in the porn business hush money to prevent blackmail. Cohen admitted that he made the payments at Trump's instruction so that the campaign would not be damaged. The Feds say this is an illegal campaign contribution, a felony.

The news media and the Democrats are now in full impeachment mode, but not over the Russian investigation that cost Americans some $20 million and found nothing of Trump-Russia collusion. All plea deals to date have had nothing to do with Russian collusion, but rather illegalities in business deals by the people involved that were exposed during the investigation. The media and its talking-head experts, who are largely biased Democrats, now want Trump impeached for paying hush money to women in the porn business. They say that prosecutors have now implicated Trump because his former lawyer pleaded guilty. This constitutes, however, a political, not a legal, indictment.

There are a few things to discern here. One is that there really is nothing on Russian-Trump collusion. Another is that though Cohen admitted to a federal crime of campaign finance violations, doesn't mean he is actually guilty of them. There was no trial, the prosecutors cut a deal for a lesser prison term on greater crimes. Further, it is a stretch to say that these were illegal campaign contributions because they did not directly come from the campaign. Let us remember 2008 Democratic Presidential nominee John Edwards who had others pay money to hide an affair and a love child from his wife during his campaign. The media and a jury acquitted Edwards-"nothing to see here."

It is not illegal to use one's money to pay for someone's silence. It is illegal to use campaign funds for that purpose. But Trump's own money was used. The news media and Democrats, however, say Trump is a felon because of what his lawyer did. So that now becomes the narrative and the impeachment battle cry. Never mind that this is the same media and Democrats that upheld John Edwards AND characterized the many sexual harassment and rape charges of Bill Clinton as "right-wing conspiracies." Trump's severe lapses in morality aside, the media is once again judging guilty until being proven innocent. Job 34:3-4 says, "For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes meat. Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good." Discern it for yourself because you won't hear it in the media.

Have a great and powerful day!

Back-to-back fireballs bolted through Washington's sky Monday evening

If you looked up at the right times Monday evening, you may have seen something out of this world. Not one, but two, bright fireballs lit up the skies Monday evening, widely visible from D.C. to New York.

The first occurred about 4:56 p.m., 10 minutes after sunset in Washington. It illuminated the twilight eastern horizon, burning vibrant shades of green, blue and white as it exploded in our atmosphere. It lasted about five to seven seconds as it fell, fragmenting into a number of smaller shards like a doomed firework.

The fireball "looked like an airplane going super fast but then disappeared about as quickly as I saw it," commented Samantha Tungul, a Capital Weather Gang Facebook follower who witnessed the event in Prince William County.

Other eyewitnesses described it as "like a stray firework," "green and slow moving," and "an incredibly bright blue white streaking ball."

The American Meteor Society received four dozen reports of the spectacle, from Richmond to Providence, R.I. The group synthesized each account, drawing upon information about the meteor's apparent motion, color, bearing and speed. They concluded that the meteor likely entered Earth's atmosphere off the southeastern shores of the Delmarva Peninsula, south of Ocean City, before either disintegrating and burning up or crashing into the water somewhere 100 miles to the east-northeast.
Before anyone could catch their breath, yet another fireball took the plunge into our skies, this time along Maryland's northwestern border with Pennsylvania. This one was seen by fewer people around 6:42 p.m., lasting three or four seconds as it burned even more brilliantly than its predecessor. Preliminary data suggest that this one did not break up but, rather, was small enough to burn up fully. (Washington Post) Read more

The 'Voice of God' Told Two Men to Jump from Their Truck, Broken-Down on the Turnpike, Only Seconds before This . . .

EDITOR'S NOTE: Kenneth and Jordan (and the others who'd gone to get parts for their vehicle) were in their 'MudMan' food truck, which they use to raise money for Potter's Field Ministries. The organization lists their mission on the website, which is to: 'Transform lives forever through winning souls, feeding the hungry, and making disciples'-according to Isaiah 58:10. -Aimee Herd, BCN

"We've come to the conclusion that it was Jesus. He allowed this to happen for me to be able to share this story . . . for people to know that our Heavenly Father is mindful of us." -Kenneth Bryant
Two men who were nearly killed in an abandoned roadside vehicle say a "voice of God" told them to jump out, seconds before they were hit.

"God kept us safe, God kept us alive," Kenneth Bryant, one of the men, told Fox 8 in Cleveland.

Bryant and another passenger, Jordan Cole, were driving a MudMan food truck from Montana to a pastor's conference in Philadelphia when it broke down on the Ohio Turnpike. Cole and Bryant stayed with the truck while others went for help. . .

"Operation Restoration"

This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!

"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.

It is written:

. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."

This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.

Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!

You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:
605-468-8850
Access Code: 221654#
Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our land." Amen.
> > > Please note:

Some of our precious saints have encountered difficulties getting through to us on this line. If so, please do keep trying! And thank you for joining us in an act of SPIRITUAL WARFARE, forgiving those who are cursing this work. Let's ask our God to loose His warring angels to stand watch over the phone line for Operation Restoration, as this ministry is so near and dear to His heart! Amen.
