	Focus on Israel

1. Every Israeli City Is in Range - Jerusalem Online

Simmering tensions between Israel and Hezbollah escalated last week after Israeli troops launched Northern Shield Operation , aimed at destroying Hezbollah tunnels used to funnel militants and arms through the Israel-Lebanon border.

Hezbollah is capable of targeting any point in Israel with its missiles, the group's second in command Sheikh Naim Qassem said in an interview with Iran's al-Vefagh newspaper.

"There is not a single point in the occupied territories out of reach of Hezbollah's missiles," Qassem said.

2. Amid tunnel tensions, Lebanese army sends troops to Israeli border - Israel Hayom

The Lebanese army is sending reinforcements to the border with Israel, Lebanese media outlets reported Sunday. The move comes amid fears of a security escalation once IDF engineering units begin working on the Lebanese side of the border to neutralize cross-border terrorist tunnels dug by the Hezbollah terrorist group.

Last week, Israel began an open-ended operation to destroy the tunnels, which is expected to continue for weeks and possibly months.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot met with Maj. Gen. Stefano Del Col, head of the U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon, on Sunday to discuss Hezbollah's attack tunnels.

3. Abbas urges international action against Israel over daytime raid in Ramallah - Times of Israel

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas contacted a number of Arab and international officials on Monday after Israeli security forces raided Ramallah in broad daylight earlier in the day, Abbas's office said in a statement.

Israeli security forces raided the headquarters of the official PA news site Wafa in Ramallah and seized security camera footage Monday, a day after seven Israeli civilians, including a pregnant woman, were wounded in a terrorist attack near the Ofra settlement in the West Bank.

Doctors managed to deliver the baby in an emergency Cesarean section after the attack and were fighting to stabilize him. The woman was in serious but stable condition.

4. Senior IDF officials head to Russia to address Hezbollah tunnel threat - World Israel News

Senior Israeli military officers are flying to Moscow to update their Russian counterparts about an operation launched last week to "expose and thwart" Hezbollah tunnels designed to launch attacks within Israel's borders.

The Israeli military issued a statement Monday saying the officers would depart Tuesday "to provide an update regarding Operation Northern Shield and other operational issues."

Israel has discovered at least two tunnels since launching the operation last week that were built by Hezbollah to carry out attacks against Israel. Russia and Israel have maintained a hotline to coordinate operations and prevent any collisions between warplanes over neighboring Syria.

5. Temple-Ready Altar Dedicated On Last Day Of Hanukkah By Activist Groups- Jerusalem Post

Then I shall finish by singing a song of praise for the dedication of the altar," goes the famous Maoz Tzur Hanukkah song, and on Monday morning, the last day of Hanukkah, a new altar, fit for the Temple, was dedicated outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Following the Maccabees' defeat of the Seleucid Greeks in the historical events of Hannuka, the Maccabean Jews cleansed and restored the Temple after Jerusalem was liberated, and built a new altar, since pigs had been slaughtered on the old altar by the Greeks.

On the last day of Hanukkah - which literally means "dedication" - a new altar built in accordance with all the Jewish laws pertaining to the Temple vessels and infrastructure was unveiled and nominally dedicated for use in the yet-to-be built Third Temple by several Temple activist organizations.

1. 'Yellow vest' violence erupts across Europe: - Daily Mail

Paris riots spread to Brussels and Amsterdam as 1,400 are arrested, French police call up 8,000 reinforcements and rioters torch everything in their path.

Violent protests in Paris spread to Brussels and Amsterdam last night, as 1,400 are arrested and French police call up to 8,000 reinforcements in a bid to quell the rising discontent.

The French 'Yellow Vest' protest movement crossed borders, with demonstrations in neighboring Belgium and in the Netherlands even though neither country has proposed a hike in fuel tax - the catalyst for the destructive demonstrations in France in recent weeks. Hundreds of police officers were mobilised in Brussels on Saturday, where yellow vest protesters last week clashed with police and torched two police vehicles. Belgian police fired tear gas and water cannons at stone-throwing yellow-vested protesters near the country's government offices and parliament.

Protesters smashed street signs and traffic lights near a police barricade blocking access to the office of Prime Minister Charles Michel, as they chanted slogans calling on him to resign. They threw paving stones, fireworks, flares and other objects at police.

Brussels police spokeswoman Ilse Van de Keere says around 400 protesters are gathered in the area. About 100 have been detained, many for possessing dangerous objects like fireworks or wearing clothing that could be used as protection in clashes with police. (Read more)

2. France Gives Human Rights Award to BDS Organization with Terror Ties - Jerusalem Post

France granted a human rights prize to Al-Haq, a leader in the anti-Israel lawfare and boycott efforts with ties to the terrorist group the Popular Front to Liberate Palestine (PFLP), and Israeli NGO B'Tselem, which advocates for Palestinians' human rights.

The two organizations are sharing one of five Human Rights Awards of the French Republic. France's Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet will present the awards at a ceremony in Paris on December 10.

Al-Haq says it documents "violations of the individual and collective rights of Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories," and brings that documentation before international bodies to hold Israel accountable.

The organization's General Director Shawan Jabarin is known to have ties to the PFLP. Israel convicted Jabarin in 1985 of recruiting members for the terrorist organization, and has been denied exit visas by both Israel and Jordan. As recently as 2009, the Supreme Court found that evidence of Jabarin's continued "involvement in the activity of terrorist entities is concrete and reliable." (Read more)

3. Chile declines to sign U.N. pact, says migration not a human right: report - Reuters

Chile has become the latest country to pull out of a controversial United Nations migration pact, its interior ministry indicated, provoking fury among opposition parties who accused Sebastian Pinera's government of "shameful and authoritarian" behavior.

Rodrigo Ubilla, Chile's Interior Ministry subsecretary, told Chilean Sunday paper El Mercurio in an interview that the country's representatives would not attend the event to adopt the pact early next week in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.

"Our position is clear," he said. "We have said that migration is not a human right. Countries have a right to determine the entry requirements for foreign citizens." (Read more)

4. China's 30-40 Million Men Who Will Never Have Wives Driving Sex Slavery of Girls - Christian Post

Women's Rights Without Frontiers, headed by Reggie Littlejohn said in a press release that sex-selective abortions of baby girls continues in the Asian country. "Now, China has an estimated 30-40 million 'bare branches' - men who will never find wives and will be unable to reproduce and carry on the family line. This alarming gender imbalance is the driving force behind sexual slavery in China," the group warned.

As WRWF explains, the skewed gender ratio "increases the demand for prostitution and for foreign women as brides for Chinese men - both of which may be procured by force or coercion. Women and girls are kidnapped or recruited through a marriage broker and transported to China, where some are subjected to commercial sex or forced labor."

"China's One Child Policy has caused more violence against women and girls than any other official policy on earth and any other policy in human history. This is the true war against women," it stated. (Read more)

5. Andrew McCarthy: Feds Will Try to Indict Trump on Campaign Finance Charges - Breitbart

Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy believes that prosecutors will attempt to indict President Donald Trump on campaign finance charges, judging from the sentencing memo in the Michael Cohen case on Friday.

McCarthy, a conservative legal analyst who worked as a prosecutor in the same Southern District of New York jurisdiction that is currently prosecuting Cohen, argued in a column on Fox News that the prosecutors would not have drawn attention to Cohen's relatively minor campaign finance violations if they did not intend on charging Trump over payments of hush money to two women before he became president:

The major takeaway from the 40-page sentencing memorandum filed by federal prosecutors Friday for Michael Cohen, President Trump's former personal attorney, is this: The president is very likely to be indicted on a charge of violating federal campaign finance laws.

It has been obvious for some time that President Trump is the principal subject of the investigation still being conducted by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. . .

When Cohen pleaded guilty in August, prosecutors induced him to make an extraordinary statement in open court: the payments to the women were made "in coordination with and at the direction of" the candidate for federal office - Donald Trump. Prosecutors would not have done this if the president was not on their radar screen. Indeed, if the president was not implicated, I suspect they would not have prosecuted Cohen for campaign finance violations at all. (Read more)

6. DNC's Perez complains about voters influenced by 'pulpit on Sunday'- Fox News

Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez complained about voters being influenced by the "pulpit on Sunday" during an event in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

Perez, speaking at Demand Justice's "The Court In Crisis: What's Next For Progressives After Kavanaugh" summit, discussed the need he saw for Democrats to more effectively get their message out to voters. "[W]e all have to make sure we're fluent in what's happening across our ecosystem so that we can come to each other's defense, because we need to build a bigger orchestra," he said. "They've had a big orchestra for some time, and they've got the megaphones to amplify it, whether it's Sinclair at a local level, Fox at a national level." (Read more)
- Lord, You warned us of this kind of hate being leveled against Your People. We pray for Your strength, courage, and faith to do what we must do in the face of the Democrat control of the House this coming year.

7. Maine refuses probe after Republicans say they got ballots for wrong district - Washington Times

The Maine secretary of state's office won't investigate concerns raised by some Republican voters who say they received ballots for the wrong congressional district.

A spokeswoman for Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, a Democrat, said Friday the office had seen no evidence to support claims that some voters in up to four towns in the 1st Congressional District received ballots for the 2nd Congressional District.

The Portland Press Herald reports Dunlap spokeswoman Kristen Muszynski questioned whether a Republican Party news release with signed affidavits by 17 mid-coast voters was an attempt to use the media "to sow unfounded doubt amongst voters, which undermines the entire electoral process."

A recount is underway in the 2nd District after incumbent Republican Rep. Bruce Poliquin lost to Democratic newcomer Jared Golden. (Read more)

8. Facebook's audit of alleged anti-conservative bias ongoing, won't commit to releasing final report- Fox News

Earlier this year embattled tech giant Facebook agreed to review claims that it silences conservative voices, but a question mark remains over when the findings will see the light of day.

The social network agreed in May to conduct a review over accusations of anti-conservative bias, but it has not committed to publicly releasing its final report - something that isn't expected until 2019.

The tech giant, which enlisted the help of Washington, D.C. law firm Covington and Burling with the review, has been hit by prominent Republican lawmakers for censoring conservative content or banning conservatives outright due to ideological reasons. In August, more than 100 Facebook employees complained that the company had a political monoculture and that those who do not have liberal views were attacked by their colleagues.

Garrett Johnson, the co-founder of Lincoln Network, a community of technology professionals, told Fox News that he'd like to see the same level of transparency on this issue that the company provided for its ongoing civil rights audit.

The audit does not appear to have a firm deadline, but Facebook did confirm to Johnson that they would like to release an update this year. Although Facebook purged over 800 accounts and pages for "inauthentic behavior" prior to the midterm elections, the company has consistently denied that its content decisions are driven by political bias. 9. US snowstorm kills two in North Carolina - BBC

A heavy snowstorm has swept through US south-eastern states, killing at least two people and leaving hundreds of thousands without power.

A state of emergency has been declared in North Carolina, with some areas reporting as much as 0.5m (18.5ins) of snow over the weekend.

One man died after a tree fell on his car. A search is under way for a driver whose vehicle was found in a river. Thousands of flights were also cancelled across the region.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain continues to impact the South. At a news conference on Monday, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said "a year's worth of snowfall fell in some places in a day".

More than 300,000 people were affected by electricity outages in the Carolinas, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia on Sunday, while storm warnings remained in place in the south-east "especially North Carolina and Virginia", the National Weather Service (NWS) said in a tweet. (Read more)

10. Salvation Army Worker Shot Dead With Bible in Hand, Preaching the Gospel to His Killer in Ohio - Christian Post

A 21-year-old Salvation Army worker in Cleveland, Ohio, was shot dead in the head Saturday morning with his Bible in hand, while preaching the Gospel. Those who knew Jared Plesec say that he was devoted to his faith, and lived to teach others about God. "Jared was an employee (youth worker) and church member of The Salvation Army Temple Corps Community Center in Collinwood. Jared died as he lived, sharing God's love. Jared passed away in full Salvation Army uniform with his Bible in hand leaving home on his day off to volunteer at The Salvation Army's Red Kettle," The Salvation Army said in a statement, as reported by WKYC.com.

"In the past two days, hundreds of individuals, mostly youth, have flocked to The Salvation Army in Collinwood to pay tribute to Jared's life. They all had one thing in common, Jared loved them, he cared for them and he changed their lives. (Read more)

The right to know all the politicians' dirty deeds

Friday, Federal prosecutors, armed with the results of the Special Counsel investigation of possible Russian influence in the 2016 presidential election, said that President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen deserved up to five years in prison. The connection, however, to Trump colluding with Russia to influence the election is a stretch. Cohen faces the prison term because he allegedly paid hush money to a former Playboy Playmate and a porn star who claim affairs with Trump. Cohen also is accused of trying to broker a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump that would have "phenomenal" political and business implications. Still no smoking gun despite political and media spins.

The prosecutors are saying that Cohan's payments of some $280,000 to the women were tantamount to illegal corporate campaign contributions to Trump because they were made to benefit the campaign by buying the women's silence. Cohen also lied about the timing of a Trump Tower business deal with Russia-a deal that never materialized. Cohen also is accused of monetizing his "Russian" connections to the tune of some $4 million through his consulting business prosecutors described as just one part of a decades-long career marked by deception and greed. Cohen pleaded guilty to eight federal criminal charges. The extent that Trump is connected to these doings will determine whether the President faces criminal charges. Trump claims these revelations actually clear him of wrongdoing.
How is this different than the sordid actions of those who initially brought these accusations to the public?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did a deal to send nuclear grade uranium to Russia scoring $145 million to the Clinton Foundation. Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a speech in Moscow. Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta did a $35 million energy deal with Russia, and the Clinton Foundation received $2.35 million in donations from Ian Telfer, head of Russia's uranium company. In October 2017, the FBI released information indicating both the Clinton's and the immediate past "president" were involved in a bribery/kickback scheme with Russian officials in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. They also used falsified documents to convince the secret FISA Court to allow spying on Trump's campaign.

If the American taxpayer is going to foot the bill for millions of dollars in investigations, then why not investigate all the dark shenanigans that have been going on? Doesn't the citizenry have a right to know the self-enriching crooked deals that all these politicians are doing at not only taxpayer expense, but also at the expense of national security and the general welfare of the country? Proverbs 26:26 says, "[He] Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shown before the whole congregation." The American people cast their votes based on what they see and hear. How many would be repulsed and demand righteousness if those evil things done in darkness were exposed to the light?

Kavanaugh Planned Parenthood Vote

Hi Friends,

Here are some quick bullet points on the Kavanaugh vote in today's Planned Parenthood case.

- It cannot be said that this case proves that Kavanaugh will vote to uphold Roe, or even that he thinks Planned Parenthood must receive state or federal funding. To say that would not only be patently untrue but would be an unwise premature surrender of Kavanaugh as a pro-abortion or pro-Planned Parenthood vote. That could backfire and push him away from the pro-life cause.

- However, what is most concerning about the case is the vote-line: it is early evidence that Kavanaugh has voted with Roberts and the liberals, while the known three most conservative Justices all voted the opposite way.
My recommendation is that we should continue to pray fervently for Justice Kavanaugh, especially in these early days that can define his philosophy and position with conservatives and liberals on the Court.

Brightest comet of 2018 to make an appearance in mid-December

Stargazers have something extra to look forward to this holiday season: The brightest comet of 2018 will pass closest to Earth on Dec. 16.

The comet 46P/Wirtanen, which passes Earth every 5.4 years, was one of three comets discovered by Carl Wirtanen in 1948 at the Lick Observatory in California. This orbit will be one of the closest comet orbits to Earth since the 1950s, according to Space.com.
The comet 46P will likely not have a large observable tail because of its relatively small size, according to Space.com. It measures 0.68 miles in diameter, one-tenth the size of the popular Halley's Comet. Currently, 46P is a small blueish object in the night sky.
At its closest point to the Earth, the comet will be at 30 times the distance the Earth is from the moon - around 7.2 million miles away - and should be observable with the naked eye from a location with little light pollution. The comet will be passing in the Southern sky, near the constellation Orion, according to CBC. Although it may be seen with the naked eye, the best ways to get a glimpse of this comet will be with binoculars or a telescope.
On Dec. 12, 46P will pass the closest in its orbit to the sun, and it will be at its closest to Earth at 8:06 a.m. ET on Dec. 16, according to Space.com. (NBC News) Read more.

Notorious gang leader now preaches Jesus: 'I'm a radical soldier for God'

Rene "Level" Martinez spent most of his life in a notorious criminal gang but today he is preaching, teaching, and baptizing people on the streets for Jesus.

Rene Martinez spent the majority of his life in and out of jail, breaking into homes, stealing guns, dealing drugs, and getting into fights.

But today, the former gang leader, 44, better known as "Level" found a new calling preaching, praying, and baptizing others in the name of Jesus as he seeks to save them from the life he once knew all too well. The Miami Dade County native has traveled from Los Angeles to the Bronx, and he's just getting started.

"I lived a very crazy life, I did some horrible things in my life that I know it's only by the grace of God and His mercy that I'm alive and free," Level told Fox News. "I was gang affiliated from the 80's to 2012, I've seen a lot of people die in front of me and I've been through a lot."

From early on, Level was plagued by demons. His mom was part of a religion that sacrificed an animal over him. "It's just demonic. I started seeing demons when I was a kid. They haunted me my whole life."
And at one point, he found his mom trying to commit suicide one night, but after she went to the hospital and got better, she accepted Jesus at a church retreat. She stopped drinking alcohol, smoking weed and she started praying for Level but he just thought she was crazy.

As a young teenager, Level joined a gang, and on Halloween night 1989 he started what became a notorious gang known as the Latin Syndicate that grew to 300 members.

At 14, he was in a coma and almost died. Two years later he was in jail for attempted murder. When he had his daughter, he wanted to be a good father but didn't know how, so he started fighting to provide for his family.
He turned to bare-knuckle fighting and became a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, which is how he earned the name "Level," and he defeated three-time world champion, Ricardo Mayorga, in Nicaragua.

He's faced death numerous times, and he said in 2013, when he was recording gangster music in his garage, he heard Jesus speak to him, saying: "I spared you for such a time as this."

"I saw my whole life flash before my eyes - when a gun was jammed in my face, when a bullet whistled by my ear - I almost died five or six times - and all my friends that died. God set me free for a reason. I repented right there."
But it wasn't until he was baptized that everything changed in an instant. "When I went in the water, this was April 10, 2016, that day shifted my life," Level said. "I ain't never been the same. Something incredible in my life happened that I can't explain. It was Jesus, only Jesus can do it." And he's been doing street ministry ever since. He had the opportunity to lead one of his friends, Corey, out of gang life in Latin Syndicate to the Lord.
"I gave him the Word and he got baptized and I started discipling him. He's on fire for God right now. He grew up in the projects, but now he's in Washington State praising God in the mountains."

Now Level has a documentary, "The Warrior Level," on his life and ministry. "People used to call me the Notorious Level. No, I'm the Warrior Level. I'm a warrior Level for Christ," he added. "I was on the road to Damascus and Jesus showed up - Saul to Paul - that was me."

He's in the process of starting a church and looking at other ministry options to help disciple people from prison and out of gangs.

"No matter what situation you're going through, no matter how hard you think life is, there's a way out," Level said, "because there's a lot of people that didn't wake up today, that are dying right now, and you have a chance to come out of the darkness right now and serve the Lord Jesus Christ."

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!

"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.

. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.
