White House News:
Several Changes Named in Key West Wing Roles
1.Trump Announces Nominations of Nauert as U.N. Ambassador, Barr as Attorney General - FreeBeacon
President Donald Trump announced his nominations for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and attorney general on Friday. Heather Nauert was tapped to replace U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, while William Barr was nominated to replace Acting Attorney General Mathew Whitaker, whom Trump appointed following Jeff Sessions' November resignation.
Barr is an attorney who previously worked in the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel and as deputy attorney general. President George H.W. Bush appointed Barr to serve as attorney general in 1991. He was unanimously confirmed by the Senate by voice vote, and he served through the end of Bush's presidency.
Speaking to reporters on the White House South Lawn on Friday morning, Trump called Barr a "terrific person." Trump said Barr has been his top choice since first learning of him and that he is "one of the most respected jurists in the country." Nauert is currently the State Department spokesperson and a former "Fox & Friends" anchor. Nauert would be the 30th U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., and only the sixth woman confirmed to the post. Haley, the current ambassador, announced in October she would resign at the end of the year. (Read more)
- Father, we ask that the Holy Spirit will guide both Mr. Barr and Ms. Nauert with the anointed Word from God to lead America in the capacity to which they have been elected. May they stand for righteous judgment and enlightened perception from the Lord. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Holy Spirit; and they shall prophesy." (Acts 2:18)
2. Trump names Army Chief of Staff Mark Milley to be new Joint Chiefs chairman - CNN
President Donald Trump on Saturday nominated Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to be the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"I am pleased to announce my nomination of four-star General Mark Milley, Chief of Staff of the United States Army -- as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, replacing General Joe Dunford, who will be retiring," Trump posted on Twitter Saturday morning. "I am thankful to both of these incredible men for their service to our Country!"
Trump said the date of transition is still to be determined. (Read more)
- Father God, we thank You for the service rendered to our nation by General Joe Dunford as he held the position of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. We ask Your blessing upon him now as he moves into a season of retirement. We ask Your blessing, too, to rest upon General Mark Milley, as he will serve the President as our next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. May He be graced with Your wisdom in all he says and does in his new post in the Pentagon, in Your name, amen.
- "There is a time for all things . . ." (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
3. Trump says John Kelly will be leaving at the end of the year - Fox News
President Trump on Saturday said that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly will leave his position at the end of the year -- after swirling rumors that Kelly's 17 month-long tenure in the Trump administration was nearing its end.
Trump spoke to reporters outside the White House, called Kelly a "great guy" and said it will be formally announced in the next few days. "John Kelly will be leaving at the end of the year, we will be announcing who will be taking John's place, it might be on an interim basis, I'll be announcing that over the next day or two," he said. "I appreciate his service very much," he added. Kelly, who previously served as Department of Homeland Security secretary, was widely reported to have been considering leaving his post. Trump had previously said Kelly would stay until 2020.
The announcement comes amid a wider shakeup of staff by President Trump. On Friday, he announced that he had picked William Barr for attorney general and Heather Nauert for U.N. ambassador. Earlier Saturday, Trump named Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to succeed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford. (Read more)
- Once again, Lord, we honor General John Kelly for his faithfulness in standing alongside President Trump in his service as his Chief of Staff. As General Kelly moves on, we ask for every blessing due him to rest upon him and his household in the days ahead. In Your name, amen.
- "Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor." (Romans 13:7)
4. Nick Ayers, considered candidate for White House chief of staff, 'departing' at year's end - Fox News
Vice President Pence's chief of staff, Nick Ayers, who was considered a front-runner to replace John Kelly as White House chief of staff, announced Sunday: "I will be departing at the end of the year."
Ayers revealed the news in a tweet. Its full text read: "Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @VP, and my great colleagues for the honor to serve our Nation at The White House. I will be departing at the end of the year but will work with the #MAGA team to advance the cause. #Georgia"
Trump said Saturday that he expected to announce a replacement for Kelly in a day or two, and it was not immediately clear whether he had a new favorite for the post. (Read more)
- Father God, kings, in particular, need to have the mind of Christ and keen discernment as they appoint staff members who will fill key roles in their administrations. We ask for that grace to fall upon President Trump as he seeks to know Your will in naming the new Chief of Staff at the White House. Amen.
- "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

1. Israel Fired Warning Shots Across Its Northern Border- Jerusalem Post
The IDF fired warning shots across its tense Lebanese border to halt an attempted infiltration as it continued to publish information on a third Hezbollah attack tunnel.
It was the first instance of gunfire along the border since the IDF last week began Operation Northern Shield along its side of the northern border to destroy Hezbollah tunnels.
In an interview with Fox & Friends Weekend that will be broadcast over the weekend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Hezbollah attack tunnels were part of Iran's plan to destroy Israel.
Tehran wants to use its proxies, principally Hezbollah, "to be the forward arm to attack Israel with a goal of destroying it.

2. IDF urges Lebanese residents to leave 2 towns over 'explosive' Hezbollah tunnels - Times of Israel
The Israeli Army on Sunday urged residents of two Lebanese border towns to evacuate their homes, telling them that the Hezbollah terrorist group had put them in danger by digging attack tunnels, from southern Lebanon into northern Israel, which the IDF is currently working to destroy.
IDF Arabic spokesman Avichay Adraee told residents of Kfar Kila and Ramya in a series of tweets that the army did not know how their homes would be impacted by the demolition of the underground passages running beneath their towns, but suggested they leave the area until after the ongoing military operation.
"Hezbollah put an explosive barrel under your homes," Adraee posted. "We do not know what the consequences of the operations will be for the homes on the Lebanese side."

3. Jerusalem hospital delivers baby of pregnant Israeli woman shot in terror attack - Times of Israel
Doctors successfully delivered the baby being carried by a 21-year-old Israeli woman late Sunday night, shortly after she was shot and critically hurt in a terrorist attack outside the West Bank settlement of Ofra.
The baby, who was delivered in the 30th week of the pregnancy, was immediately transferred to the ward for premature babies at Jerusalem's Shaare Zedek Medical Center, the hospital said, and was said to be in "stable" condition.
The woman was undergoing surgery late Sunday and was "fighting for her life," the hospital said.

4. Netanyahu to Putin: Israel will not tolerate Hezbollah's aggression - Jerusalem Post
Israel won't tolerate Hezbollah's threat along its northern border, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday as he updated him on Operation Northern Shield.
"Netanyahu reiterated Israel's policy to prevent the establishment of an Iranian presence in Syria and to act against Iranian and Hezbollah aggression," the Prime Minister's Office said after the meeting. "The two agreed that security delegations from the two countries will meet soon and that a meeting between the leaders would be coordinated."
According to the Kremlin, Netanyahu placed the calls. Last month in Paris, the two men spoke briefly face to face on the sidelines of memorial events marking 100 years since the end of World War II.

5. Danon: 'We Don't Play Defense Anymore at the UN' - United with Israel
It is no secret that the United Nations has long been viewed as a hotbed of anti-Israel sentiment. However, there has been a remarkable shift in recent years as a result of efforts by the United States under outgoing U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley and Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon to build new partnerships while singling bias, as well as anti-Semitism towards the Jewish state.
The fruits of this labor were on display this week when the U.N. General Assembly considered a U.S.-sponsored resolution condemning the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas for the first time. The resolution, which gained a simple majority in voting, received strong support, especially from Israel's allies in Europe and elsewhere.
While ultimately the United Nations failed to adopt the resolution, as a result of a last-minute amendment by Kuwait to force a two-thirds majority, Danon is optimistic about Israel's prospects in the world body going forward.

1. Clinton Foundation whistleblowers have come forward with hundreds of pages of evidence, Meadows says - FoxNews
Three people have come forward with hundreds of pages of evidence of potential wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation, including misappropriation of funds and allegations of quid-pro-quo promises made to donors during Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state, Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., told Fox News on Thursday.
Meadows, the leader of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, is also the chairman of the House Oversight Subcommittee on Government Operations. The panel is set to hold an investigative hearing next week on the status of the Foundation case. U.S. Attorney John Huber was tasked to investigate the foundation last year by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The Hill reported Thursday that prosecutors working for Huber recently requested documents from a private investigative firm that also has been looking into the foundation. The firm, MDA Analytics LLC, reportedly has contacted the IRS, the Justice Department and the FBI's Little Rock office with evidence from its own investigation. (Read more)
- Heavenly Father, we trust that there be a continuous investigation into the Clinton Foundation's potential wrongdoing over the years. Guide these investigators to the core of all that the Clintons are guilty of. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."
(Psalm 9:17)
2. Judge orders Justice and State departments to reopen part of Hillary Clinton email inquiry - Chicago Tribune
A U.S. judge ordered the Justice and State departments Thursday to reopen an inquiry into whether Hillary Clinton used a private email server while secretary of state to deliberately evade public records laws, and to answer whether the agencies acted in bad faith by not telling a court for months that they had asked in mid-2014 for missing emails to be returned.
The order risks reopening partisan wounds that have barely healed since Clinton's unsuccessful 2016 presidential bid, but in issuing the order Thursday, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act required it. In a narrow but sharply worded 10-page opinion, Lamberth wrote that despite the government's claimed presumption of transparency, "faced with one of the gravest modern offenses to government openness, [the Obama administration's] State and Justice departments fell far short" of the law's requirements in a lawsuit for documents.
Lamberth wrote he took no pleasure in "questioning the intentions of the nation's most august" Cabinet departments, but said it was necessary when their response "smacks of outrageous misconduct." Conservative legal watchdog group Judicial Watch filed its FOIA lawsuit in July 2014 seeking State Department talking points issued after the September 2012 attacks on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, that left the U.S. ambassador dead. 3. Trump: Politicians Should Protect U.S. Citizens, 'Not Criminal Aliens' - CNSNews.com
"American politicians should protect American citizens, not criminal aliens," President Donald Trump said Friday in a speech at the 2018 Project Safe Neighborhoods Conference in Kansas City, Mo.
"American politicians should protect American citizens, not criminal aliens. Not one more American life should be stolen because of radical politicians pursuing their open borders agenda," Trump said.
He said more people are rejecting sanctuary cities, which protect criminal illegal immigrants from deportation. (Read more)
- Lord God, we agree with our President. Let this decree stand, in Jesus' name, amen.
- "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways." (Job 22:28)
4. Record 156,795,000 Employed in USA, 13th Record-Breaker Under Trump - CNSNews.com
. . . the unemployment rate held steady at 3.7 percent for the third month in a row; and the number of employed Americans once again reached an all-time high of 156,795,000, the 13th record since Donald Trump became president.
Wages continued rising as well: In November, average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls rose by 6 cents to $27.35. Over the year, average hourly earnings have increased by 81 cents, or 3.1 percent. (Read more)
- Father God, we thank You for this great report, and we ask that, in the New Year, even more of our American citizens will be able to find employment, in Your name, amen.
- "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)
5. Europeans Realizing Trump Was Right About Iran - Daily Wire
It must be murder for them to admit it, but suddenly Western European leaders are realizing President Trump was right about ditching the Iran nuclear treaty. On Tuesday, diplomats from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France expressed their concern because of an Iranian medium-range ballistic missile test on Saturday.
The U.S. government stated that the missile Iran tested could reach Europe and the Middle East. According to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the missile could carry multiple warheads and violated Security Council Resolution 2231, which instructed Iran to refrain from "any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology."
That Security Council resolution was the implementation of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA). President Trump walked away from the deal last May, although China, France, Germany, Russia and the U.K. stayed with the deal. (Read more)
- Lord God, we thank you again for another good report on today's Daily Brief. Thank You, Lord, that Europe, too, is now waking up to the reality that the Iran nuclear treaty was a hoax. In Your Name, amen.
- "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
6. Yemen war: 'Milestone' peace talks begin in Sweden - BBC
Peace talks aimed at ending nearly four years of civil war in Yemen, described by the UN special envoy as an important milestone, have started in Sweden. Martin Griffiths announced the signing of a prisoner swap deal that would see thousands of families reunited. His team is working alongside delegations from the Yemeni government and the Houthi rebels to enable informal talks due to last a week.
The war has caused the world's worst humanitarian crisis in recent times. Thousands of people have died in fighting and millions have been pushed to the brink of starvation. Consultations are resuming for the first time since 2016. The last attempt at a negotiated peace collapsed in September when the Houthis failed to show up for talks in Geneva.
The latest talks are not expected to deliver a breakthrough. Correspondents say the key aim of this round is to prevent an all-out battle for the rebel-held Red Sea port of Hudaydah where thousands of civilians are trapped. The UN also hopes to come up with a framework for talks on what a future political solution in Yemen will look like. (Read more)
- Heavenly Father, we ask that the whole of Yemen and the Houthi rebels be delivered from the hatred that is within their hearts and there be a clarion call that is clear and sharp to declare peace among them. Restore the region back to normalcy. Father God, we ask that all necessary food, humanitarian needs and housing be supplied to all. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen
- "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: and His greatness is unsearchable." (Psalm 145:3)
7. China breaks unexplained silence on Trump trade deal: 'We are confident in implementation' - Washington Times
China said Wednesday that it is "confident" of reaching a trade deal with the U.S., and President Trump expressed optimism that Beijing will meet its promises to him, a day after Mr. Trump's threat of more tariffs caused stock markets to plummet.
After days of unexplained silence, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said Beijing would try to work quickly to implement specific items that Mr. Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed upon over the weekend at a Group of 20 nations summit in Argentina.
The Chinese government said it will "actively promote the work of negotiations within 90 days in accordance with a clear timetable and road map." Mr. Trump said the statement validated his announcement of an agreement with Mr. Xi. The president said Beijing had been silent because of Mr. Xi's extended travels to Panama and Portugal after the G-20 summit. The Chinese leader and his entourage are scheduled to return to Beijing on Thursday. (Read more)
- Father God, guide President Trump in his negotiations with the president of China regarding a trade deal that will be beneficial to defray the U.S. national debt. God, work miracles. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
- "God sends forth His commandment upon earth: His Word runs very swiftly."
(Psalm 147:15)
8. Ex-Communist Nation Poised to Revert to Past - WND
The chief of an international religious-liberty organization is warning that lawmakers in Bulgaria are considering legislation reminiscent of the nation's communist past. Gregor Puppinck, director general of the European Center for Law and Justice, an affiliate of the American Center for Law and Justice, says the bill "would significantly restrict religious freedom and impair the free exercise of Christians in the former communist nation."
Bulgaria was under communist rule and the hegemony of the Soviet Union until the revolutions of 1989.
Now, the nation's three main political parties are working on a plan to amend their Religion Denominations Act. The bill aims to prevent "interference of foreign countries, institutions and persons into religions and religious affairs." The intent is to restrict the spread of radical Islam, but in its current draft, Puppinck warned, it "imposes heavy restrictions on foreigners to perform religious duties in the country and on donations from outside of Bulgaria." (Read more)
- Father, we lift up the nation of Bulgaria and we ask that these dark forces be defeated by Your Mighty Hand. In Your Name we pray, amen.
- 'Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop'

9. Obama's FBI brass hollowed out, after latest resignation of key official - Fox News
Another top FBI official who helped oversee the Trump-Russia and Clinton email investigations is retiring, as the last traces of the bureau's embattled leadership team that once stood under Barack Obama's presidency disappear.
The official, Bill Priestap, will retire from his post as assistant director of the FBI's counterintelligence division by the end of the year.
"Assistant Director Bill Priestap became eligible to retire and has chosen to do so after 20 years of service," an FBI spokesperson told Fox News on Wednesday. (Read more)
- Lord God, it is with a true sigh of relief that we now witness the end of this changing of the guard. We ask that only men and women of good reputation be appointed from this day forward to serve in these positions. Amen.
- "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:14)
10. Storm slams South with heavy snow, power outages as over 1,000 flights canceled out of Charlotte; over 247,000 customers in North Carolina are without power - watch.org
A storm system that's bringing heavy snow and freezing rain across a large section of the South is leaving thousands without power Sunday as wintry precipitation blasts the region.
Over 247,000 customers in North Carolina are without power as of 2:00 p.m. ET Sunday as now and freezing precipitation continue to fall, according to North Carolina Emergency Management.
"North Carolina is in the cold, icy grip of a mammoth winter storm," North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said at a news conference. "Enjoy the beauty but respect the danger. Don't be fooled. This storm is treacherous."
The majority of the power outages are in North Carolina, where the highest amounts of snowfall are expected to fall. The National Weather Service said that more than a foot of snow is possible from North Carolina into south-central Virginia.
"Travel will be severely affected across much of these areas, and some power outages are likely," the NWS said in its advisory.
- Lord God, we ask for Your Hand of mercy to rest upon all those who have been impacted by this huge storm. We ask for rapid restoration of all power; and for safekeeping of our citizens in the meantime. In Your Name, amen.
- "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:19)
The Mueller Investigation

The Mueller Investigation (et. al.)
1. Prosecutors: Michael Cohen acted at Trump's direction when he broke the law - CNN
Federal prosecutors said for the first time Friday that Michael Cohen acted at the direction of Donald Trump when the former fixer committed two election-related crimes during the 2016 presidential campaign, as special counsel Robert Mueller outlined a previously undisclosed set of overtures and contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian nationals.
. . . On Friday, prosecutors wrote, "In particular, and as Cohen himself has now admitted, with respect to both payments, he acted in coordination with and at the direction of Individual-1." Individual-1 is the term prosecutors have been using to refer to the President. (Read more)
- Father, we do take note that it was CNN that reported this news, so we bring this prayer request before Your Throne of Grace, asking only that the TRUTH be revealed and released in this critical matter. We lay this request upon Your altar, in repentance, in Your Name, amen.
- "Let no man deceive you . . ." (Matthew 24:4)
2. Michael Cohen lied about dealing with Russia, but Trump didn't - Washington Examiner
Opponents of President Trump who read the late Friday court filing by the special counsel's office on Michael Cohen must have once again felt the familiar deep pangs of disappointment that come with every turn in the Russia investigation. Like before, there is still no sign of any vast conspiracy that Trump or his campaign coordinated with Russia during the 2016 campaign. The document looks bad for Cohen, who until recently was a longtime associate of Trump and the Trump Organization. It said that Cohen lied over and over again about the extent of his attempts during 2016 to negotiate a deal with Moscow that would bring a Trump property to Russia and that only when confronted by the FBI did he admit he was lying.
It says that Cohen admitted to lying to Congress about when he stopped pursuing a deal with Russia and that he had been in regular contact with "Individual 1" (understood to be then-candidate Trump) about the talks. There's a simmering media narrative that this would prove Trump has also lied about his dealings, given his repeated claim throughout the campaign and into his presidency that he has "no deals" with Russia.
But if Trump's "ties" to Russia amount to a business deal that fell flat, Trump's opponents should brace themselves for another round of those pangs of disappointment. (Read more)
- Heavenly Father, we ask that You will plead Trump's case from heaven and reveal to the world that he is not guilty of all the lies spoken against him regarding Russia during the 2016 campaign. We further pray that You will uncover the real truth i.e., that the former administration retaliated in a most evil way by concocting these lies, because of losing the election for president. Reveal the truth, Lord. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Therefore hell has enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoices, shall descend into it." (Isaiah 5:14)
3. House Democrats plan to send Trump aides' transcripts to Mueller - Reuters
Democrats taking control of the U.S. House of Representatives in January plan to send Special Counsel Robert Mueller the transcripts of testimony by some of President Donald Trump's closest associates so they can be reviewed for evidence and possible falsehoods, said three sources familiar with the matter. Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, son Donald Trump Jr, former advisers Roger Stone and Corey Lewandowski, personal aide Rhona Graff and former personal aides Hope Hicks and Keith Schiller all testified before the House Intelligence Committee while it was under control of its outgoing Republican majority.
The sources said the transcripts of those interviews will be among those sent to Mueller's team, which is investigating Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion by Trump's campaign team. (Read more)
- Heavenly Father, it appears that all the built-up venom that has been brewing in the hearts of Democrats will have a way of expression when the House Democrats take control. We therefore pray that You God, will dispatch myriads of warrior angels to stand against each and every Democrat who emerge with vengeance in January. Defeat every ungodly effort, Lord, so they are brought down. We pray in the name of Jesus.
- "And God shall judge the world in righteousness, He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble." (Psalm 9:8-9)
4. Michael Flynn Sentencing Document Shows Collusion - Between Media, Deep State, and Obama Admin - Breitbart
Special Counsel Robert Mueller filed a sentencing memorandum Tuesday with the federal court in Washington, D.C. that recommends General Michael Flynn receive no jail time after pleading guilty to the crime of lying to the FBI, citing "substantial" assistance to the government in its investigations.
In fact, the most explosive piece of information in the sentencing document is not about collusion with Russians, but about the collusion between the media, the intelligence services, and the outgoing members of the Obama administration. The document begins its recitation of Flynn's offenses by citing information that had appeared in the Washington Post from a leaked, classified surveillance transcript in which Flynn's name had been "unmasked".
Days prior to the FBI's interview of the defendant, the Washington Post had published a story alleging that he had spoken with Russia's ambassador to the United States on December 29, 2016, the day the United States announced sanctions and other measures against Russia in response to that government's actions intended to interfere with the 2016 election. The Post's intervention was crucial in setting the trap in which to ensnare Flynn and turn him into a government witness. (Read more)
- Father, we pray for Your revelation regarding all the deep-seated actions of each of these parties to be revealed and the record be set straight and the guilty be sentenced accordingly. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil." (I Thessalonians 5:21-22)
5. Trump calls for Mueller probe to end following Manafort, Cohen court filings - CNN
President Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Saturday that Friday's court filings in the Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen cases showed no collusion between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russia.
"Time for the Witch Hunt to END!" Trump tweeted Saturday morning, referring to the special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
The President also quoted Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera, saying "this is collusion illusion" and "there is nothing impeachable here." (Read more)
- Thank You, Lord, for this move by the President of the United States of America. Enough is enough, in Your Name, amen.
- 'Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop'
(Job 38:11)
6. House GOP running out of time on Comey, Justice Department investigation - Washington Examiner
House Republicans are running out of time as they push to investigate the Justice Department and FBI's actions just before the 2016 presidential election. Incoming House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said Friday that the investigation, which began in fall 2017, will end in January when Democrats gain control of the House.
"It's a waste of time to start with and there's nothing. The entire purpose of this investigation is to cast aspersions on the real investigation, which is Mueller. There is no evidence whatsoever of bias at the FBI or any other of this nonsense they are talking about," the New York Democrat told reporters Friday morning.
Democrats have consistently called the GOP investigation a means to distract from and undermine special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference and possible connections to the Trump campaign, which he took over in May 2017. (Read more)
- Father in heaven, we pray that You will enable the House Republicans to find all the incriminating evidence they need regarding the actions of the Justice Department, the FBI and Robert Mueller's investigations regarding the 2016 presidential election, as to President Trump. We pray in the Name of Jesus. amen.
- "The Lord tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates." (Psalm 11:5)

A prophetic people to stand in the gap
We in America often worry about persecution. We see many of the religious freedoms dwindling away by the actions of electedleaders and activist courts. But persecution in the United States is not at the level it is around the rest of the world. Harpers Magazine has done an expose' about Christian persecution in the Middle East, documenting that ISIS, job discrimination, and Islamic persecution has resulted in the Christian population dwindling from 1.4 million in Iraq, for example, to less than 300,000. In West Africa, Islam is pushing out the Christian population. China communists are doing the same there. All the more reason that the right of religious freedom in America remain strong and unchallenged.
If not for America, the world would be a dark place. We send aid, protection, food, and the gospel around the world. Even though our country is in a moral decline, and the leadership we elect are often evil deceivers, Americans have stood the test of time, using religious freedom and freedom of speech to advance the kingdom of God. No matter how convoluted and circuitous the path America has taken, Americans more often than not have stood in the breach and have held the line for what is right and good. For a generation, it appears we have taken leave of our good senses and have allowed our nation to slowly decline. We are now starting to face the consequences of this lack of proper standing and engagement.
But take courage, and be encouraged. As is written 1 Peter 2:9,"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." You, yes you, are a prophetic person who was born specifically for this time. When you accepted Christ, you may not have understood about counting the cost. Jesus said that we would have to take up the cross to follow him. Those costs are becoming more evident in this day and age for those of us who live in America. Our leadership is poor. Our nation is in decline. Our Christianity is being challenged. As is our faith. But you are a chosen generation.
Peter had a lot to say about persecution. He knew it well. He writes in 1 Peter 3:12, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous. And his ears are open unto their prayers: But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." He asks, "And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good." Peter said it is better to suffer for righteousness' sake, verses 14-15, "happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ." You are a prophetic person. Rise up. Stand in the gap!
Have a blessed and powerful day,
Bill Wilson

Be not dismayed whate'er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
Refrain
God will take care of you,
Through every day, o'er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you,
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.
Refrain
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.
Refrain
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you.

Words: Civilla D. Martin, 1904

About the Hymn:
I was confined to a sick bed in a Bible school in Lestershire [now Johnson City], New York. My husband was spending several weeks at the school, making a songbook for the president of the school. God Will Take Care of You was written one Sunday afternoon while my husband went to a preaching appointment. When he returned I gave the words to him. He immediately sat down to his little Bilhorn organ and wrote the music. That evening he and two of the teachers sang the completed song. It was then printed in the songbook he was compiling for the school. - Civilla Martin
> > > This song is credited for transforming the life of James Cash Penney, founder of the American department store chain J. C. Penney. He heard it one morning in the chapel of the Kellogg Sanitarium in Battle Creek, Michigan, where he had been hospitalized with a severe case of shingles, as well as exhaustion and depression.

Swallowed up: Iran facing divine retribution?
Iran's capital of Tehran, a city of 13 million people, is sinking - fast.
That's the assessment of geo-scientists Mahdi Motagh and Mahmud Haghshenas Haghighi of the German Research Centre in Potsdam who used satellite data images to monitor subsidence across the region between 2013 and 2017 that show the land sinking radically due to depletion of groundwater aquifers, shows a recent report in Nature.com.
But, given the radical Shiite regime's regular threats against Israel, some rabbis see the possibility of divine retribution - reminding them of the biblical challenge to Moses in Numbers 16 by Korah, who was swallowed up by the earth along with his followers.
The collapse is spreading now to encompass the city's airport by up to 10 inches a year.
But an impending catastrophe is much more widespread across the entire western Tehran Plain including the urban area, satellite cities and the southwest Varamin Plain, an agricultural area that supports it. "These are amongst some of the highest current rates of subsidence in the world," says Roberto Tomás, an engineer at the University of Alicante in Spain.
Huge fissures - several miles in length and up to 12-feet wide and deep - have opened up in the land to the southeast of Tehran, some of which are threatening to topple power-transmission lines and buckle railways. "When walking around these areas, we see uneven street surfaces, shifted curbs, cracks in the walls and even tilted buildings, some of which have had to be demolished," reports Motagh.
The growth of underground cracks sometimes produces sudden sinkholes. "One farmer I met was locked up for hours when the ground gave way beneath him and he fell into a six-meter-deep crack," says Ali Beitollahi, head of engineering seismology at the Building and Housing Research Center in Tehran.
Such farmland is becoming unviable, because the cracks drain irrigation water from the surface and leave crops parched.
The cracks and fissures threaten an area that hosts more than 100 miles of railway, 2,000 miles of roads, 21 bridges, 30 miles of oil pipeline, nearly 200 miles of gas pipeline, 60 miles of high-voltage electricity lines and more than 250,000 buildings. (WND) Read more

EU Officially Adopts Anti-Semitism Declaration: An "Historic Step"
The measure, which was the first time the council's 28-member states have passed a resolution countering anti-Semitism, calls on its member states to "adopt and implement a holistic strategy to prevent and fight all forms of anti-Semitism."
It also expresses EU determination to "ensure a future for Jewish people to live with the same sense of security and freedom as all other citizens in the European Union," while urging E.U. member states that have not yet adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of anti-Semitism to endorse it.
"The EU has taken an historic step toward fighting all forms of hatred targeting Jews," said Daniel Schwammenthal, director of the AJC Transatlantic Institute, the Brussels-based arm of AJC, the global Jewish-advocacy organization.
"This declaration is an important step in the fight against anti-Semitism because it provides a positive and concrete road map for the safeguarding of Jewish communities and strengthens the legislative tools for governments to fight hate and intolerance," (said) European Jewish Congress president Dr. Moshe Kantor. "Now we hope that each EU member state will take the required and appropriate action, and that the European Commission and the European Parliament will monitor the progress made by each state against anti-Semitism."
Ronald S. Lauder, president of the WJC, said "just days after polling revealed that anti-Semitism continues to haunt Europe-and with the memory of the Holocaust fading-this declaration is a clear recognition by the governments of all EU member states that serious action, both politically and practically, is needed to deal with the clear and specific challenges posed by this ancient hatred."
The Jewish groups also praised Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, who currently holds the E.U. presidency, for initiating the declaration.
"We would like to thank Chancellor Kurz, with whom we have worked closely in the last few months, and all the European leaders and officials who assisted with this vital process," continued Kantor. "One of the most urgent calls for action in the declaration is to adopt the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism to assist law-enforcement agencies in their efforts to identify and investigate more efficiently anti-Semitic manifestations in all their forms."

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners
Our Mission Statement
Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].
Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]

Operation Restoration

An Invitation to Participate in:
Operation Restoration
Once each week, on Sunday mornings and for 24 hours, join with others in OPERATION RESTORATION . . .
"Operation Restoration"
This initiative is based upon the Move of the Spirit that was launched last month during Operation Refiner's Fire. The LORD has shown us that He has used those fires to ignite the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT to visit our people, which He now yearns to keep burning among our people until the day of His return!
"Operation Restoration" is based on the promise of Scripture, recorded in
2 Chronicles 7:14,15.
It is written:
. . . "and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
This is a weekly Solemn Assembly, where saints can feel free to gather each Sunday, to offer prayers of repentance before our Lord, for the many sins our nation has committed before Him.
Abba so desires to hear our prayers . . . He is just waiting to heal us!
You can join us, any Sunday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST by calling:
605-468-8850
Access Code: 221654#
Each week, our conference line for Operation Restoration will
remain open until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.EST -- allowing for 24 hours of
nonstop prayer before our King of Kings, that He might, indeed, "heal our
land." Amen. Access Code: 221654#
> > > Please note:
Some of our precious saints have encountered difficulties getting through to us on this line. If so, please do keep trying! And thank you for joining us in an act of SPIRITUAL WARFARE, forgiving those who are cursing this work. Let's ask our God to loose His warring angels to stand watch over the phone line for Operation Restoration, as this ministry is so near and dear to His heart! Amen.
